Amber and Dominic were amazing and everyone was soooo nice. Will be back.
The property is absolutely stunning and the staff couldn't have been kinder or more attentive. Amenities were wonderful and I can't wait to go back with more time to enjoy it all.
Overall, not worth the money, a rip-off. Tried to extort money out of you at every moment. Resort charge plus service charge plus gratuity plus tax and then $5 for the 15 seconds required to split a salad, Most of us trying to check in were delayed for over an hour, to sit in the overprice bar. Some of the staff really tried to help (Vicroria) and the morning waitresses were good.
The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The shower took 10 minutes to get hot.
Great resort with an amazing golf course
Great for families!
Great room and workout facilities
My son and his wife loved their room and the facility, especially the workout and lap pool. They did think it would have more convenient if they could have had a parking pass near their room, which was quite a distance from the lobby, but close to the workout facility and pool.
The resort was great, no complaints. Also the Kids Club was fantastic, my daughters LOVED it!
Amazing
Everyone was amazing took their time to make sure we were taking care of. It was a wedding night and everyone there took care of us and went above and beyond.
Stayed here for 1 night only, the hotel was hosting a charity ball that we were attending. Requested a room close to the lobby and they accommodated us with no issue, overall good experience.
Great property!
Our stay was wonderful! The only thing that could've been better was if someone had explained (upon checkin) how the $10/day food and beverage credit worked.
Beautiful place!
Beautiful property, exceptional staff. Truly everyone was so kind and welcoming. Would come back again!
Resort Needs Updating
The hotel is aged, the spa was disappointing, outdoor furniture needs replacing. We had no hot water for two days, cold showers. The elevator was broken, so we carried luggage up stairs. It’s a beautiful property in the foothills but definitely needs a facelift.
The hotel is beautiful and has one of the best gyms I have been to. The restaurants around the area are great. The staff have horrible customer service and act like they are irritated to provide service. At check in, the front desk agents didn't even brief me about the hotel and it's amenities. They knew it was quite a walk to get to our room and didn't offer assistance with luggage. For valet, sometimes we would have to wait really long periods of time to have our vehicle valeted or retrieved. Customer service was horrible. The AC did not work. This property will go a long way if they improve their service. I was a duty manager at a Westin Property and we never treated guests like this.
Nice hotel
Nice hotel, excellent location and spectacular view
Beautiful location and such beautiful and spacious rooms
Already planning next trip!
Chose a staycation versus taking a long trip and so glad we did! The service was great, rooms were amazing, and the pools were incredible. Our family has a blast and we’re already planning our next trip.
Excellent pull and view. Great staff
Great weekend getaway location. Once the remodel is finished, will be even better.
They were not helful. Didn't clean our room after first night. No one answered phone at front desk for four minutes
Our room had a musty foul smell. I called the front desk twice asking for a room change to no avail. We checked out and 3 hours later my vwife recalled she left her expensive mirror in the room. She called to help locate it and again no support in assisting us. Beautiful location unfortunately they have not maintained the property to current standards and not worth the premium for location with subpar rooms
Great property
OMG the class rooms were freezing!
Amazing
It was amazing like always way better then any Other resort in Tucson, Arizona way better than the Ritz and any other one amazing staff amazing rooms amazing prices, five stars for customer service and everything else just amazing
Lovely getaway. The grounds are beautiful.
We enjoyed our stay a beautiful setting at the bar.
Liked the experience there
This is a great place for couples or families.
A/C was broken & not fixed all night. Was hard to sleep. There are repairs needed on exterior patio ceiling & peeling paint in outside hallways. Other than that, the property is one of my favorites. I have visited several times. Lots of amenities & the property is really beautiful.
This is by far the best customer service experience ive encountered in my many travels. From the Valet, to the Bar staff, wait staff, pool area staff, waitresses, the guest service folks that drive you to your rooms? amazing service!! truly recommend this place and will def. be back!!
Had an issue with a TV not working and the staff made it right. We will be back. The pools and dining was second to none.
Resort style hotel. Large pool area with separate adult only pool and spas. Good size rooms. Recently refurbished bars and communal areas. Staff all really helpful. Great cocktails.
Older property. The rooms has an old, musty odor
It’s a lovely spot in the desert setting. Plenty of walking, nice gym and plenty of pools!
Beautiful establishment, sunrise from the Mountain View room is beautiful.
Amazing pools with multiple pools to swim in and a great swim-up pool bar. 5-star resort without 5-star prices!
Great facilities. Amazing staff and stunning views of the mountains.
Thank you
Place was amazing first time staying but not the last time , will definitely recommend anyone to stay here. Foods good the staff are friendly and helpful and the price is just right
Golf course was amazing and the staff was very friendly.
Very open lobby with large screen nice to sit and watch college openers. Popcorn served for the kiddos. Pool is big with a slide. Adults please take care of your children there is a swim up bar water fall and slide
Bathroom had lots of little bugs
Very peaceful and the staff are very nice and welcoming
Perfect
My stay was perfect
Staff was amazing the place was spectacular
Excellent service and very friendly folks work at La Paloma. Although it was off season and renovations going on at the resort, they were not distractions. The pools were sparkling and the noise from the construction was at a minimum.
Excellent hotel! We will be back.
The staff is amazing. They were so helpful and friendly.
They should have lowered the price and let me know before I made the reservation the hotel was undergoing a large remodel.
Don’t waste your money
Will never stay again. room was very long walk on uneven pavement outdoors from parking lot. If you don’t want to walk you need to wait for a concierge golf cart to bring you and your luggage to the room. Room smelled awful - like old musty pesticides. Our room was in building C- furniture was outdated, carpet had large stains everywhere and front desk staff unfriendly. Don't waste your money with this place!
Property was nice and clean. Very nice.
It was under construction so I can't wait to see what it's going to look like when it's finished
Thanks
The Resort pool is beautiful. We spent more time around the adult pool than we had before since our children weren't with us. Two different elevators were not working which complicated our room assignment since my wife cannot use stairs. Bell service took over an hour on checkout day, but staff did not warn us of the timeframe. Also, the shampoo, conditioner and body wash were all empty in the shower at the same time. Staff brought the replacements quickly, but it is hard to re-do a shower.
Great stay will recommend
It was fun
The pool was spacious and luxurious. The staff was amazing. But lots of bugs in the room and amenities was old style.
The overall service was excellent. The room was great! And everything seemed safe and clean. Definitely would stay here again!
Air conditioner was blowing warm air
I'm a Marriott guy and have been wanting to stay at the Westin La Paloma for several years now, but prices had been much higher than where we ended up choosing. Prices were just fine this time around, and we stayed for 2 nights. Sadly, we were very disappointed and will not be back. The staff was great - friendly, helpful, and just all around great. That's where the greatness ended, though. Our room was "nice". Nice size, nice balcony, great TV, nice bathroom and shower. The problems with the room included the A/C being pathetic, making it difficult to even sleep. We were sweating all the time, which doesn't work for me at all. The shower, although very nice, had a terrible smell, like mold or mildew, and after showering, we didn't really feel clean for some reason. The phone in the room didn't work, so calling the front desk was always a real issue. The light on the makeup mirror didn't work either, and my wife was hot pleased about this. Bed was extremely uncomfortable, and way too soft. Grounds were very nice, but in need of attention pretty much everywhere. Way to much walking required to get anywhere, including the pools. Too many mandatory steps, up and down, up and down. Pools were nice, but water wasn't remotely clean and sparkling. Main pool temp had to be well above 90 degrees, which shouldn't be, as a resort of this size should be able to blow cold water in. The smaller mineral pool was a great temperature, but just absolutely filthy.
Nice getaway near home.
Great family environment! The staff was very accommodating and beautiful landscape.
I enjoyed my stay at La Paloma very much. The air conditioning in my room did not work as well as other hotels. It didn’t feel hot preset but it definitely was not nice and cool as one enjoys in a hotel room especially in the heat of the summer. I had it set all the way to 65°, the fan on high, and it felt maybe 76ish in the room. So again tolerable and comfortable but not cool. They’re also up dating the lobby so there’s construction to work around a bit but nothing the prevents you from getting where you’d like. The hotel is constructed of multiple individual building which is great for views but if mobility is something you’re considering I would be sure to request a room close to the main lobby. They have bellmen available to drive you to your room from the main lobby so that is helpful. The pools were amazing and the Fourth of July festivities were great! The staff were all kind though they seemed a bit overwhelmed by the holiday volume. Overall the stay was enjoyable and I’d recommend the hotel.
Maid left my door open when she left Came back to room at 3 am door open Not locked
Beautiful pool and property at La Paloma! Very comfortable room and comfortable bed.
Awesome resort!
Beautiful property and great service. We would stay here again.
Great stay
Great but…
The resort was great, service was good but the room could’ve been cleaned better. The carpet was dirty, there were leaves from the outside all along the sliding door leading to the outdoor patio. The floors were dirty.
Amazing view of the city from the lobby
It was great it just got really hot after the storm happened and the AC didnt cool the room down.
Love the atmosphere
A relaxing place
Wonderful stay, I jst loved it. Everyone is extremely welcoming and attentive.
Very professional
Awesome!
The hotel was being renovated and my brother's room had bed bugs. I've stayed here before and loved it so I will be back, but this was my experience for this stay.
All the staff was friendly and helpful.
Nice property and great staff.
NA
Everything was going fine & most staff were really great. One thing I wish I did was bring my own towels, b/c they were constantly out. We had to get towels from our room so our 4 kids could dry off. I wasn’t going to let that bother my stay. What erked me was the next day! For a lot of people, check out is @ 11am, & the pool is still available until 5pm. Which I thought was awesome!! We arrived at the pool & noticed ALL of the pool seats where occupied, with only resort towels, some chairs had guest belongings. For people to take up 6-10chairs with 1 or 2 people watching the remainder seats for hours! Was crazy!! I took account all the empty seats with only towels from the resort and for 2 hours no one sat but yet there were 1 or a few hawking the seats for there family who could have at least had the decency to let others sit if they were not going to be used right away! Me and my baby were in the pool for an hour and a half and he started getting tired. I let staff know if they could at least free up space that just have towels so others who had no where to seat could sit. She told me she couldn’t remove personal items. Which I understand but look at all these seats with only resort towels. She said no! I moved a resort towel to another chair, just so I can sit and rock my child and a guest came up super mad b/c I was in her unused seat! I wanted to comfort my child for 20 min tops! I left after that.. the pool staff only worried about talking to each other.
Easy check in. Staff was very helpful!
The staff was great. Hotel and rooms were clean. I did have a broken fridge and running toilet in my room. I was only there for 2 nights, so I never bothered to report it. Otherwise, everything was great.
Fun stay-cation for a friend's family birthday
Always a beautiful location. Fun birthday celebration with good food. We met Chuck who took us to our room...he's been working at La Paloma for 37 years!! Amazing.
The Westin La Paloma is always lovely but has been under construction the last two times we’ve been in town.
Amazing property
Staff was very kind and very helpful
Expedia doesn’t include that the property is under construction until fall. The entire lobby is walled off. One of the restaurants is in a conference room. Coffee was free until the new shop the day we left. More transparency Expedia
The bad stuff: The room service food was overpriced for the mediocre quality it was. The “smashburger” tasted like a double bacon cheeseburger from Jack in the Box. The bbq wings were delivered cold and lacked flavor, it just tasted like the sauce was store brought. We ordered sodas but they were never delivered to our room. The cocktails at the pool were also expensive and there weren’t impressive. It just tasted like bottom shelf alcohol with a simple mixer. I expect unique handcrafted cocktails for the prices I’m paying. The adult pool is too close to the kids pools so you can hear kids screaming the whole time. The pool area was very dirty throughout the day, with trash laying everywhere including by the adult pools. The good stuff: The self parking was very easy. The views around the property are nice. The rooms are also very nice and what I expected from the website gallery.
Disappointing Service- Poor Value
Beautiful resort style hotel. Unfortunately the service didn’t match the price. While not a resort, you get treated better down the street at the Embassy Suites for half the price. Really disappointed in the level of service for the price. But the Hotel is beautiful
Front service was awesome. Wife’s birthday so they sent champagne and cheesecake. Super friendly!!
Had no clue that the property was under renovation, so there was limited facilities, the polls getting outdated and very limited items at the pool for premium drinks. Been going to this property for years and it’s definitely losing its luster… I wish the app would’ve told me that half of the properties under construction… Bad experience.
Renovation blues
We love La Paloma. We didn’t know they are in the middle of renovation. I would have booked somewhere else as many of the charming areas are closed. This should have been disclosed. It’s a lot of money to spend and not have the amenities.
Parts of the hotel were being refurbished when we were there, so it was not in perfect shape chili due to the construction. Would like to go back another time when it’s all done so we can see how great it’s all going to look. Lovely property & amazingly relaxing.
Beautiful views and stay but overpriced
The views were spectacular and the property was under some renovations so while that was unexpected it was still manageable and we were put in was on the golf course, very beautiful place. Felt the menu was way overpriced for food and so was the spa salon for just your basic plastic facial. There were plenty of other wonderful restaurants within a few miles that had just as good a menu/quality of food. Front desk would not rekey a keycard for our room (2 of 3 cards weren’t working) without me present, because I was person who booked the stay. Even offered drivers license to show them and still required me in person in order to re-key….Spa salon had no cash to give me when I needed smaller bills for $20 bill so I could tip the aesthetician…..standard very nice facial was $160😮😮….just over the top in my opinion.
The resort is completely under construction
Could have been better
We arrived at 5pm well beyond check in and were told rooms were not ready. After an hour of waiting one room was ready the other was still not ready at 6:15pm. We were offered free buffet breakfasts to which there was no buffet so we received $14 each towards breakfast which we ended up owing an additional $35+tip. Asked for a late checkout for 1pm and housekeeping showed up at 10:30am. Event before still had tables and chairs all set up with tablecloths blown all over the grass. Just a weird vibe. Disappointing!
Very clean, wonderful staff, awesome food. The only downside was they put kids above me on the third floor who were up and running at 6 am.
Really need to decorate your pool bar .. Looks like the county jail..... New and More drawers in the rooms
Beautiful desert gardens. Since it is already pricy & they also charge a daily resort fee it was annoying to be nickel & dimed on everything else. They had Guacamole & S’mores nights but sadly were not complimentary
Needed more pool waiters/waitresses

This is a very pleasant and comfortable hotel to stay at when visiting Tucson. I've stayed here many times.
