Absolutely great!
Really enjoyed our 1 night stay- lovely room, toiletries, great breakfast, staff were friendly and the outdoor area was lovely in the sun. However we were surprised that the hotel/ pub closed up at 11pm on a Saturday evening so when we got back from dinner we found ourselves locked out. Turns out we hadn’t been given a side door key on arrival. All was resolved but was a little surprised! We also found the rooms to have very very thin walls and floors.. so we were woken up by other guests very early
Beautiful little getaway, not far from Blenheim Palace and in the proper Cotswolds AONB. Well recommended. Pizza on offer was likewise well done for a midday snack...s was the main menu for dinner. Breakfast very nice. Room lovely. Staff attentive. Quintissential Norman church across the road.
Beautiful Cotswolds stay
This is a very special place to stay. Wonderful welcoming hosts, and exceptional food. It’s very traditional but also luxurious and the open fires in the restaurant and individually decorated rooms are such a treat. I would highly recommended this hotel.
We can’t say enough good things about our stay at the Swan. It was absolutely magical and pure bliss. It was utter perfection and we couldn’t ask for a better stay. Thankyou to everyone who made this such a magical stay. Our honeymoon was perfect because of you all!
Excellent
Beautiful and quaint traditional stone pub set in the heart of Oxford countryside. Excellent food, particularly the breakfast.
Beautiful room and nice restaurant
Staff were great. Room was large (huge bathroom), bed was very comfortable. Room was clean, nicely decorated. Highly recommend
Super staff giving good service.
Great staff providing great service. The one disappointment was the bedroom which was looking rather tired and tatty in places. The bed was suffering from age and we could feel the springs. This detracted from what otherwise is a little gem of a hotel.
Small hallways to get to your room. Lots of steep stairs. No assistance with your bags. I am a senior with a heart condition.
Missed not having a shower option . Dangerous to get in and out of tub. Grab bar could help
Friendly efficient staff. Good food & drink. Atmospheric. Accommodations over priced.
Great.
Wonderful Stay for a short break.
A lovely couple of days stay. Our room was upgraded which was very comfortable. Staff very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Only downside was our meal on the first night. We ordered steak which really wasn’t up to scratch for the price we paid. We did however really enjoy the sourdough pizzas the following night. The continental breakfast which was included was an added bonus too. The only other thing I would say is the room could do with a full length mirror or a mirror at least in the bedroom area.
We stayed here less than 12 months ago and it was lovely, which prompted us to book again, but it appears to have deteriorated very quickly. The room was really quite poor; wallpaper peeling, repairs to the toilet door not repainted, stains on both sides of the headboard, a ripped bedsheet and the bath leaked. We must have been directly over the kitchen due to the constant fan noise. The staff were pleasant though, but probably not one to revisit.
We only stayed for one night but had a great time. The evening meal was both excellent and good value for money. The breakfast included in the room price was also good. Would highly recommend the Swan.
Amazing little country retreat. Beer garden is beautiful and the inside is cosy
Cute Inn
We had a nice stay at The Swan Inn. We had a family room and while there was enough room, the bathing situation was a little awkward. It was fine for one night, but we have teenagers, so privacy was a bit of an issue. Overall, it is exactly what you would expect. It charming and quiet.
Lovely place, good staff and a great breakfast even with the extra cost.
Warm and peaceful Cotswold pub
Very comfortable room with en-suite and small kitchen area. Excellent dinner in the lovely pub itself - staff were polite and friendly (especially Maggie). Hard to find any fault at all. Make sure to wander across to the local church and the tree lined avenue
We booked a one night stay in the signature room. The room was beautifully designed and presented with a fabulous en suite having a separate large shower and bath. We had dinner in the beer garden which had a relaxed atmosphere and lovely furniture. Food was restaurant quality and all staff were friendly and professional. We easily parked for free on the quiet road outside as the swan car park was full. Nothing to dislike about this place, would highly recommend.
Kevin & Jane’s Birthday break
Very nice well appointed, traditional pub / restaurant / Hotel with friendly helpful staff. The food in the restaurant was top class too
Cotswold Elegnce
Gorgeous rural country Inn offering fabulous accommodation tasty food and a warm welcome
The real deal of Cotswold pubs. Very nice and casual. Recommend it.
Brilliant
A great stay and an excellent meal, many thanks.
Superb pub and accommodation. Food excellent and although a quiet Monday night, the area was so relaxing despite the rain! Great service and very friendly staff.
Really lovely Inn, and as a last minute booking it was brillaint for the value and location. The family room is quirky, comfortable and super quiet, very dog friendly and excellent welcoming happy staff :)
Nice space and location
Lovely hotel/pub, very up to date rooms
Lovely space and location
Lovely room, great finish
Simply exquisite in style and quality
I will be back
I wish I was staying longer! Lovely welcome late at night and exhausted - greeted with a pot and tea and the most beautiful room with the biggest bath. Lots of thought gone into the little things - including the welcome postcard. Breakfast was scrumptious - amazing value. I will be back.
Great weekend break.
A weekend break for myself, my wife, daughter and her fiancé. Lovely traditional bar and restaurant. Service from entire staff was second to none. Having a bath and no shower wasn’t ideal. Overall very happy with our stay, my only gripe would be considering what the weekend cost us, not having a full breakfast in the price was a little mean.
The remodel of this Old English Pub leaves much to be desired. There is little to no parking. But most importantly the staff are not friendly. Although breakfast is allegedly included, I was charged about $10 USD for coffee. For the price, I would expect a little more hospitality, especially for a spot in the Cotswolds. For me, the experience of staying at a Pub vs a hotel with much more amenities is the opportunity to interact with the folks managing the Inn. Sadly, this Swan Inn needs a lot of work to become more hospitable for guests.
Spent one cosy winter evening and night at The Swan. Pretty village and a proper old pub - with all the modern twists. Great food, plenty of staff, nice beer and wine and comfortable room. We were in “Pen” annexe room, which has only be open a few weeks, and it was very nicely done. Will return.
Beautiful pub and rooms. I would recommend using a car to get around the Cotswolds, to get the full experience.
Faultless
Faultless from start to finish. Thank you for such an amazing stay. I came for business purposes but i will be returning with friends and family for leisure
A perfect stay!
Such a lovely welcoming hotel. Beautifully decorated, our room was perfect. Will definitely be rebooking.
Birthday mini break
Great location, limited car parking, lovely looking exterior and tasteful interior decor. Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff, well proportioned room with good facilities. Good selection of beers and wines, although found the wine list extremely pricey (£32 is the cheapest bottle). The evening meal, again a bit pricey, was very very good. The continental breakfast was also very good. We had the room with the bathtub but unfortunately didn’t have a shower. Overall a very good stay and would recommend.
I loved this hotel. The room was beautiful and very comfortable and I slept well and felt welcome. Breakfast and dinner were also outstanding. The room felt immaculately clean. My only tiny issue is that the stand alone bath is the only bath/shower, and with no shower curtain, the water was going everywhere. The bath is also in the bedroom so you'd better be comfortable with whoever you are sharing with, if anyone! I loved my stay here and thought it was outstanding value for money. Would love to come back again!
Great pub friendly staff. Good foid
Excellent stay, but we didn’t take the car so made it awkward for ourselves
Amazing
Lovely place to stay very friendly and helpful staff
Cosy
Cosy room, lovely food in the pub. The room was looking a touch tired.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Loved every minute of it. Had both dinner and breakfast there and it was delicious.
We had a fabulous one night stay at The Swan Inn, great service, great food and beautiful accommodation. Hope to visit again soon!
This B&B is on the edge of an neighborhood near countryside. It was quiet, pleasant with nicely decorated rooms, king beds(!), & a cozy pub which served attractive, tasty meals.
Really pleasant one night stay. Really enjoyed the quiet beer garden after a long journey, and the vegetarian full breakfast was delicious.
Lovely period property, great customer service and excellent food
Very pretty property. Staff were very friendly and helpful but unfortunately there just wasn't enough of them and therefore service was slow both at dinner and breakfast. The room was lovely but up in the roof with no air-conditioning or windows that opened, it was sweltering beyond belief on a hot day. They brought 4 fans in an attempt to make it bearable to sleep in. Staff were very helpful but room not really habitable in very hot weather...

Beautiful location in the countryside, in a sweet town that was fun to walk around and enjoy the peacefulness. Breakfast was great, and the staff were all very friendly.
