Great staff and easy booking!
Excellent
Was locked out of room for 2 hours due to defective lock.
For Instagram, not comfort
Photos are made for instagram. The hotel is old, the walls thin, the pool was not working, no restaurant on site. We checked out the same night as checking in - being uncomfortable was not worth it
Nice pools big, clean room convenient to many restaurants walking
Miami vintage
Cute boutique hotel that is on Ocean Drive, within walking distance to South Beach and with direct beach access. We landed at 9am but our room was not available until 4pm checkin so we enjoyed the pool all day. Our room was large, with a separate bedroom and living area. There are 2 pools on site and one was heated. Pool staff was very friendly and welcoming. There was plenty of seating by the pool and the hotel was not overcrowded. Great location on the quiet side of the beach. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and we would stay again.
A true Boutique Hotel Excellent Service, great pool area and grounds. Room was the size of an apartment
The hotel had a unique style which was nice. One of the pools was heated and the other was not. The pool was very dirty.. my boyfriend got out of the pool with black/dark green maybe algae? On his back. We were told our luggage was going to be delivered to our room so we waited a bit and it never came. I needed my things to get dressed so I ended up going to get it myself.
I love this place. The location is perfect with superb access to beach and boardwalk and on the best side of SOBE⦠an architectural art deco gem and I hope the owners are able to fully renovate the other building next door to keep it true to itās deco design so to make this famed resort even more accessible to other travelers. Everyone from Denzo at the front desk, to the pool attendants, to the on the beach personnel were all super friendly and helpful. Daily cleaning was prompt and professional and when I needed anything it was delivered within minutes. Plus I had room 326 which was exceptional with balcony overlooking the pools and the beach. I will be back. TY!!!
The Savoy hotel is my favorite hotel in Douth beach, I stayed there several times before and it never disappoints. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. I also enjoy restaurant service either by the pool or at the beach.
By far the best service we've ever received from a hotel staff in South Beach. The pool area is an absolute oasis.
The online pictures are probably a little more favourable than real life, but it is still a good hotel. The room was a really good size and very clean. Our room wasnāt ready at 4pm at check in time though and we didnāt receive a call like they said they would to let us know when it was ready, we had to return and enquire. The pool area looks in need of a fresh lick of paint. The staff were all pleasant and provided good recommendations on the local area. Good walking to distance to the main sights, with direct access to the beach. No onsite parking but parking lot across the street is $40 for overnight.
Worse than bad
Beach Club is oversold to day trippers no loungers available but you will get charged $45 per day No Parking, lot across the street not affiliated with the hotel. My car was towed even though I told them them I would be staying 4 nights. Attendents have very limited English so they probably had no clue. Air conditioning in room did not work we had to move ourselves. No security hotel has at least 4 access doors key card not used for elevator. Anyone can just walk in and go to any floor. Day after checkout credit card billed for $110, donāt know what for since no one answers the hotel phone. Hotel pool not heated therefore not usable except maybe in August.
Vibey Miami
This is a great Miami hotel! Love the vibe and the rooms are so great! Itās also a great location to get around easily!
We had wonderful time
Perfect location, nice and clean. Huge rooms.
Perfect place to stay if you want a relaxing beach/pool location but walking distance to all the best restaurants. The pool area is nicely maintained and transports you to a 5 star pool club with ocean views.
Excessively expensive parking lot for guests, poor air conditioning, very hot rooms, noises on the upper floor at night, footsteps front the others rooms can be heard, not breakfast offers. I would not recommend that Hotel to anyone i knew .
Unique historical and beautiful
Savoy is always my Miami go-to, the aesthetic is so Miami chic
The Savoy was awesome you can't beat the location being right up against the ocean walk and beach. It was nice that towels and beach loungers were included with your stay. Staff was extremely good especially at the pool, bar and beach area. We would definitely recommend to other potential guest.
Its very calm and quiet no bothers you I feel safe
Beach access
I'll start with the positives: Location is really good. The beach is very nice and clean and the umbrella 2 chairs were included in our rate. Our suite was large (king sofa bed) and was clean. We booked an oceanfront suite with balcony and you can barely see the ocean from the 1st room we got (room 226) due to palm trees being in the way. When we were moved to room 326 the ocean view was nicer. And now the negatives: the air conditioning in the rooms (yes, both rooms) is very noisy such that it woke one of us up pretty much every time it started. It vibrated really hard when it switched on and it was louder than any A/C units I've ever heard, and I've been to cheap hotels/motels. Fan speed was not adjustable. It wasn't just me complaining, but also my wife and 2 kids. We also had a couple issues with our room such as the safe wasn't working so they had to send the maintenance guy to fix it, there was a leak from a nearby attached room that caused a puddle in our room, and housekeeping did not make up our room and refresh our towels even a few hours after we requested them to. After complaining, they moved us one floor up and said the A/C is better in that room. It was as loud but maybe did not vibrate as much as the one in the other room. The hotel is "historic" so it's old but you can clearly tell they're not keeping up with the needed maintenance, which is sad because it has great potential. Perhaps someone will acquire it and improve upon the rooms and overall property
Many aspects to improve, highlighted the good service of Mr. Jorge who was EMPATHETIC with the situation and helped improve my stay
The staff was amazing. The grounds were beautiful and so close to all the action, but also far enough removed. Can't wait to go back!
The building has an old-fashioned charm, especially in the lobby. However, upon closer inspection, it reveals several issues. The hallways leading to the rooms have a noticeable smell, and the room itself only has one mirror in the restroom and one garbage can. The TV is outdated and doesnāt support Netflix. At night, you can hear neighbors moving around and slamming doors, making it hard to sleep. The bed is large but creaks loudly with even the smallest movement. Thereās also a mini router near the bed that makes an annoying sound, which I had to turn off immediately. The air conditioning stopped working on our second night. When I called the front desk, the staff member was unhelpful and acted as if I had broken it. By morning, it still hadnāt been fixed. The pool is warm but has a lot of sand because thereās no proper place to wash your feetājust one shower with a long line. We encountered issues returning from the beach when we got stuck at the gate just before it closed. When I called for help, I was put on hold and had to walk around the hotel to get back. The receptionist didnāt apologize and said the gate was faulty due to rain. Also, to get towels for the beach, you have to check in for a bracelet, but this isnāt clearly communicated. You only find out if you ask the staff or other guests. On top of that, we were kept awake by construction noise for two nights. Overall, my experience was disappointing, and I regret choosing this hotel.
Was a little loud at most times during the night
Loved this property! Everything from the staff, the cleanliness, the walkability and proximity to shops and restaurants!Would definitely recommend and visit again!
Balcony was unfinished
Old building. Lots of marijuana smoke in the building. Don't care if people smoke but NOT in the rooms...
Great hotel ,great staff. I love this hotel
Out dated rooms, dirty bathroom
Rooms very clean and spacious. Overall very nice place to stay right on ocean drive. 10/10 would recommend and will be going back
Nice property
Great Hotel and Beach Club to relax around the pool or go for a walk along the beach.
Great location, nice pool area and beach area as well. The walls are a bit thin in the rooms some of them look a bit outdated but overall it's a clean hotel. Has boutique look checking in was pretty smooth. I'd say the only cons are that you can hear the other rooms and the valet takes forever.
Loved the common areas, decor and atmosphere. Bathroom could do with a flooring upgrade, but everything was clean. Food and drinks were over priced and so so. Other than that a good stay, quiet, comfortable bed and location unbeatable.
Beautiful, my husband and I had a wonderful time
Better soon
The hotel was under renovation during my visit. I was not informed.
The pools were filthy, itās not hard to get one of your workers to give it a good scrubbing or hire a pool company, it was almost too gross to get in. Property could use a little refreshing outside around the bar area & pools.
When you come to Miami to stay in the beach and you reserve a nice room with two balconies, you expect to have a wonderful view. Thatās why you chose that specific room. When we checked in we were told that no balconies can be accesses. All is is being painted and off limit is with scaffolding and nets. So essentially we had a room with no windows or balconies because men were working. That was very disappointing. Also the kitchen closed at 6:00om. Early than advertised.
Amazing stay
Absolutely amazing hotel with great decor. Restaurant, Domingo, downstairs was an absolute hit!
Great little spot
We did enjoy our time at the Savoy and will consider it in the future. Super cute, boutique, retro atmosphere and convenient to south beach entertainment BUT also tucked away that you donāt have to ādealā with south beach if desired. The staff was nice and accommodating. We checked in very early and were extended an invitation to use all pool and beach facilities. The property is under construction for renovations. We did know that prior to booking and we did not experience any inconveniences due to construction. Yes our patio was blocked with a screen and some construction items but it was entirely too hot to sit out there. Room was still light and spacious. The property will be fantastic when it is complete.
Nice service
Property is under construction. Booked a balcony room and the balcony had scaffolding on it and unusable. There were also construction workers on the balcony at various times of day, so had to be careful about people looking into your room.
The pool was always dirty. And the hotel wasnāt even busy! Day after day the staff just left stuff in it, at one point there was a beer can in there that a staff member looked at and walked past.
Would stay again
We stayed for 2 nights at Savoy, it was enjoyable and staff was friendly. The ocean front room was big however dated and needs fixing (caulking, mouldings, flooring, shower). Wifi was also out for half our trip, no tv no internet no room phone. My wife and will not be going back
Enjoyed every moment of staying here. Denzel (front), Camila (pool), and Gustavo (beach) were some of the most amazing hosts and welcomed us so kindly. The room was bright and spacious, the pool luscious, and the easy beach access was the cherry on top. It was all so relaxing, and farther from the party hustle and bustle of typical SB. It even smelt so serene. Just one suggestion: I wish there was a floor length mirror. The only mirror we had was in the bathroom and it would have been nice to have something additionally inside of the room. Otherwise, my mom and I had an amazing time and we look forward to coming back again hopefully soon! Weāve already recommended the hotel to our family and friends!
The price is very high for the quality of the property
As of April 2024, this property is undergoing an extensive and very noisy renovation -- of which the hotel gave no warning. The pool area and the beach club are very good (with the exception of gross bathrooms at the pool), and the lobby is pretty, and the bedding is comfotable. Otherwise, however, in addition to the jack-hammer noise outside my window, my room was disappointing. There was no desk. The towel service was random. The hotel provided conditioner but not shampoo, and was very sparing in the provision of soap. And I had to ask for a roll-away bed twice in order to get it. The front desk attendants were nice but ineffective when dealing with these issues.
Awesome location. Pool and beach are awesome. No complaints. Definitely recommend if you want to be close to the action but still at a nice relaxing hotel.
There is construction going on, the hotel should let the customers know about it. The towels are very thin for a hotel of this level. Overall experience felt more like a three star hotel.
Location to the beach
Great Beach and Pool
Art deco hotel with updated bathrooms and vintage style furniture. Ideal location.
This property was a lovely gem. The pool and surrounding areas felt lush and and ripe with hostorical charm. It had great energy. The location is perfect. The staff were extremely nice. The poolside food is not the quality of surrounding resorts however it does the trick. This is our new spot for the value & serenity. The Marriot nearby has way too loud of music at the pool and the Hilton nearby has no atmosphere at the pool. Canāt wait to be back. I wish there were condos available here!
Great stay, thank you!
Stayed here last year and had a nice time. Came back with another couple March 2024 and the pool was dirty. The grounds outside not kept up very well. Was disappointed.
Very TIRED. This is NOT the 4 Star hotel that was advertised. From the dead trees on either side of the front door to the run down pool area with the old loungers and dirty chair pads, we were disappointed to pay as much as we did to stay here. We actually ate the last night of our booking and went somewhere else. The staff was generally nice but when I asked if there was more coffee for the lobby carafe, the front desk told me to ātip the pot, thereās probably more at the bottomā. Yup, there was and it was cold.
The Savoy
Great feel to this place. We were upgraded to a suite. No view of the ocean but a great space for us. Got good help from the front desk with directions and recommendations. Would definitely come back.
Great location right on the beach.
The hotel is stunning art deco right on the beach. The location is excellent and short walk to the shops and dining along Ocean Drive. The pool and beach club was excellent. When it say opens a 9 - that means the staff start setting up at 9. Nothing is ready completely until around 10. The service at the beach was great one day, poor almost non-existent the next. Room was large and clean. Nice welcome wine was a nice touch. The walls are thin and being old art-deco the noise travels between walls and from above. Iād stay again and request top floor to avoid the overhead high heels
A lot to love
Our stay at The Savoy really was an enjoyable one. We loved having a heated pool and the beach club food was really enjoyable. The staff at the pool area was attentive and friendly. We also really loved the location of The Savoy...on Ocean Drive and close to the ocean without being in a noisy area. Really the best of South Beach. Our room was a little disappointing. The images on the website showed an aesthetic room with wallpaper, art work on the walls and an area rug located in the sitting area of our suite. But our room was so sparten and boring. No artwork, no wallpaper and nothing other than beige walls. The bathroom also could have more to offer a traveler. No shelves in the shower to put your shower products and the bathroom only offers a pedestal sink and no shelving to put products and such. Mostly a 10/10 stay. Just would love enjoyed a better room, especially as we had upgraded to a suite.
Unusable Balconies.
It was very disappointing to be put in a "balcony" room in which the balconies were under construction and unusable without warning or apology. It is unacceptable to charge people a higher rate for a room for a feature that is not available in their specific room.
Good location Easy beach access Staff very nice Pool food subpar Exterior rundown Rooms very clean
Don't waste your money on this hotel
It was a terrible experience. I had to check out earlier and go to another hotel. The photos online don't resemble reality. For what you are paying, you can get a better hotel. The rooms are old and dusty. The bed is in a bad shape. It kept making noises with every slight movement. The walls are thin, and we can hear the room beside and on top of us. The room service is horrible. We were out for a long period of time, and they never came to clean the room unless we told them to do so. The only positive thing, the beach staff were amazing. Don't waste your money on this hotel.
Our overall room experience was good. The general condition of the hotel was tired. The coffee in the lobby is put out at 8 and it was luke warm every day. The pool and beach area was nice but once again tired. No one could give me an answer as to what the status of the second building that is shuttered and boarded up.
The Hotel was beautiful and felt like a step back in time. The room was generous size and beautifully furnished and decorated. My ONLY complaint was the mattress was sub par. Everything else was lovely - Great location too.
A nice hotel in nice area but not well managed. Staff tried hard but they were problems. When made the reservation, there was breakfast available but not when we arrived. Breakfast at the hotelās restaurant in front of the beach was part of the reason of going there. Bathroom was old with stained tiles, and small for a suite.
Needs a lot of work in the pool area
Rundown, trick photography, and overpriced
The trick photography runs rampant at this hotel. We thought this hotel would provide an upscale, elegant couple stay in South Beach Miami, but it was quite disappointing to say the least. The hotel is quite rundown and gives the impression of being updated. There is an attempt by the hotel to appear chic and unique, but it definitely fall short of this. Our room was the queen grand suite, which faced another building was quite loud. The pool area is also quite rundown and not upscale in any sense of the word. The location directly by the beach is nice and probably the best thing about the hotel. Itās also very close to Ocean Drive which was a nice feature. That being said, there are so many other options on Miami Beach that provide a much nicer and more upscale experience for the same price.
Great staff, beautiful rooms and perfect location!
Historical property would stay here again
Lovely historic hotel and beach. Valet parking is via third party, did not meet expectations not the fault of the hotel
Pool area and Beach Club were great. Pool area fauna is incredible and wait staff very attentive. No restaurant .
Great location, even better beach!
Where do I start as soon as I got there that gentleman unloading my car with the luggage damaged my Rent-A-Car by allowing the luggage rack to fall into the car and making a very big dent which causes me issues and plenty of time trying to inform enterprise Rent-A-Car, what had happened vacation time wasted. Only to get to the room and I had gotten the wrong room and they said they could not move me. They had nothing else very upsetting. The entire time I was there I had no hot water and only had maid service one day. The grounds were not really kept up and the floors in the room were not very clean, and the one sofa that you got to sit on certainly needed a cleaning as well .The only positive was the pool and the beach and location. Needless to say, I would never stay there again. It was a very expensive hotel to have all these issues. The only thing they would do for me was give me back $180 for the resort fees. Oh yes, I got a Mojito on the house.
Fantastic pool area on the Beach!
Great older boutique hotel on the Historical List. Friendly staff, nice relaxing pool area and on the beach.
Wasnāt able to go was sick with Covid. They never called to let me try to cancel when both Orbitz and I called.
Thank you. We will definitely be back!
Love the quaint lifestyle that it provided. Grey place to stay
š
Comfortable room, beach and pool area are excellent! Staff is helpful and attentive - will absolutely stay again.
Aināt worth the price Ridiculous resort fee -45$ True resorts charge less No food or snack options
Everything is Beautiful!!
Loved our stay. Beautiful rooms with lots of space. Pool staff is amazing .
Such a cute boutique hotel
Hotel staff were fantastic and we loved the hotel. Denzel at the front desk was great. Had a few minor issues with our room but otherwise we would be back.
Basic accommodation . Cleaning staff didnāt do a very thorough job and front desk girls were short and rude with me when I wasnāt impressed at check in with the timing of my room still not ready at 4pm. Wouldnāt stay here again
What a lovely hotel with friendly and attentive staff. Everything about our stay at the Savoy was terrific!
I liked Denzel, very helpful. I was promised a call though when my room was ready and never received one. Later I called the property to see if my room was ready and left a message/ no one got back to me. So, unfortunately there was no assistance with getting me a room in time. I checked in at 5:10 after a long wait. I asked to not be placed facing the parking garage and I got two rooms facing the parking lot. When I went to sit on a pool lounger with my family the gruff bartender (middle aged man in white) asked me if I was staying at the hotel, I felt insulted. I wasnāt asked if I would like a drink and for my room number or if it was my first day at the property. I was asked ā Are you staying at the hotel?ā. Itās an inappropriate way to treat guests.
I loved the tropical feel of this place. The rooms are very nice, the lobby can use a bit of a facelift. Great pool area and beach bar
Best location possible, very pleasant and efficient staff, excellent size room. Wonderful pool area. We loved it, would definitely recommend it and come back again.
The location is excellent, the room was big and quiet and the staff is very nice and helpful. We had a great stay! Thank you!
Rude staff in what looks like a beautiful property that saw better days. My visit began well, even got a complementary upgrade. One staff member at the beach was quite rude. I provided feedback to the front desk person, who took it very professionally and apologized. Nonetheless, I decided to spend the rest of my trip elsewhere. In addition, the AC unit in my room was clunky and loud, the shower had mold, which I would not have minded if the beach staff had showed a bit more tact and good manners.
Savoy is absolutely the best! Clean rooms, great pools and beach areas. Quiet hotel in the best quiet neighborhood known as sofi (south of 5th). Can walk everywhere.
excellent!! the staff was attentive and polite! room well equipped, great size and beautiful decorated! the pool area is just amazing!!
absolutely wonderful stay!! the hotel is beautiful, clean, excellent located and has a brilliant service! check-in and check-out were fast!! Highly recommend!
Great property. Enjoyed our stay

Good location, some downsides
The Savoy js a great location if you want to be just off the beaten path of the restaurants and entertainment but still walkable to everything. Clean hotel and friendly staff. Nice pool and beach set up. And a great breakfast spot across the street! However, there are a few downsides to consider based on our experience. First, we confirmed a noon check out time. When we returned from breakfast at 1145 am our room was already being serviced/cleaned and all our personal belongings were moved to the lobby area by the staff. We also had do not disturb tag on the door and I confirmed noon check out that morning with the woman at the front desk. Our personal property should not have been removed from the room, nor left on a cart in an unlocked location. We had personal and confidential materials safely locked in our room intentionally. Second, youāll pay a resort fee for services. We spent Monday at the beach with no towel service. The hotel sells day beach passes and perhaps they ran out of towels over the weekend. But hotel guests who are paying resort fees should have access to towel service. They said more towels were coming in 30 minutes and every hour I asked still no towels. Finally, be prepared for first noise. I would ask for a top floor as the hallways and floors are very thin and the AC is very loud when it kicks on.
