Did not like the cost of valet parking and resort fees.

Overall excellent service. One thing I’ll mention is that I was on the lounge level and everything was excellent aside from the olives in a jar which were full of mold. This was highly off putting.

The property looks great, the room looks great, the staff was friendly and professional but that is expected at 5 Star hotel. The chocolates on the room was a nice touch, I wasn't expecting that. However there were 2 issues that I expect at a 5 star hotel. 1) The front desk doesn't have credit card tapb technology, many people don't carry physical card anymore, they are loaded on their phones to be used with tap. 2) They need to work on the response time on messaging in the app and texting. I waited 10 minutes for a response and then had to use the in room phone. Messaging and text should be as fast as a phone call. Automated generic messages like we're looking into it, doesn't cut it. I'm 54 years old just mentioning so you know this isn't some young person and wanting technology to work, this is your average modern customer.

Ritz-Carlton SF Magic!

This property was excellent! From the advance call to upgrade our room to a suite, to the most excellent customer service, this property exceeded every expectation. San Francisco in December is magical and the Ritz-Carlton delivered a wonderful weekend full of memories with my family I will cherish forever. Thank you!

I always stay at The Ritz Carleton in SF whenever I am visiting or doing a staycation. The rooms are always clean, well maintained. The service is simply top notch, from the checkin to room service to restaurant service, I have never seen better service in any hotel in the city. The restaurants have great food, great drinks, the location is ideal for exploring the union square and chinatown areas but is also walkable to areas like Russian Hill, Embarcadero etc making it a perfect spot for travelers. But if I have to pick one reason I keep coming back to this hotel, it has to be their incredible service

We stayed Ritz Carlton, SF for our anniversary. Staffs were so nice and helpful. Food was good including room service. Front desk manager Jason gave us nice room and dining credit. So we enjoyed the room service food before we left. So appriciate to him and Ritz Carlton team.

Our stay was very unpleasant due to the unprofessional and undertrained staff. After staying at more than 22 Ritz-Carlton properties this is by far the worst one I've stayed at. The staff judged our appearance and criticize the rental vehicle we were driving. They did not offer us services offered to other patrons

This was the perfect romantic getaway. We loved the service, food and bar. The location is terrific. Our room was beautiful and the view was exceptional. It was 5 star in every way.

Our stay was wonderful. Staff at this property went above and beyond to make my family and I feel seen and cared for. They were so kind to my daughter and as a mom traveling during the recent Microsoft crash and dealing with hours of delay it really touched my heart how helpful they were to her.

I love the staff is very friendly and polite. Rooms are clean and dining options are great.

Good experience. Rooms have two queens which is a blessing for families with two kids. Basics are nicely taken care off. They charge for WiFi if you don’t book via Bonvoy. Valet parking overnight is expensive so just park yourself in the garage nearby. Best to just Uber it everywhere.

This was our 2nd stay here. Leo, Louis and the rest of the staff are awesome, friendly and professional.

Super clean, smells so good upon entering the property. The very first Valet attendant was rude I grabbed a bell cart and loaded my stuff on my own after circling around the drive twice because I was in his way but no one greeted me to show me otherwise. Every one else was super friendly and courteous.

They didn’t have my reservation. i guess the date change didnt go through. I was too tired to follow up so I gave up and crashed at a friend's place. everyone was trying to help and were very professional. I would have loved to stay there.

Staff in bar/restaurant area is courteous and well trained. The building and amenities are old but very clean. Nowhere in SF feels safe anymore but we were taken aback to see that the key access on the elevator didn’t work. A couple of guys at the door wouldn’t be enough if someone wanted to get to the floors. Front desk doesn’t have the sense of urgency to satisfy customers’ needs. We asked for rate adjustment when we checked in a day earlier and received a flat no whereas Fairmont staff is empowered to go above and beyond to find ways to make their clients happy. Food and drinks were pretty good. Valet parking was $90 tips which is ridiculous. You can park at the public park around the corner for one third of that cost. If we’re in SF again we’d definitely go with Fairmont.

It was a luxurious hotel, clean and service was excellent. No pool available. Hotel should offer free WiFi and coffee.

Do not use Apple Maps to try and locate hotel. Look up and use actual address. Concierge was phenomenal with guiding us to the location :)

Absolutely enjoyed our stay! The complimentary Champagne and cupcakes for my Aunt’s birthday was a very nice touch and it is greatly appreciated. The staff were phenomenal. Lily from customer service reach out to ask if we need anything and to make sure we have a nice stay at the hotel. Our room were impeccably clean everyday. Towels, sheets and other supplies like coffee, tea, shampoo etc were also replenished. Overall, we are extremely happy of our stay and this won’t be our last time staying here. Absolutely recommend this hotel! Close to a lot of tourist spots so you can pretty much walk to everywhere. Thank you so much Ritz Carlton San Francisco!

Club lounge can spoil you

The service and attention from all the staff was wonderful. The bathroom could use a bit of refreshing for a 5 star property, but otherwise excellent stay.

Needs a refresh for the rooms and maintenance, especially the tub! Service was excellent most of the time with a slight mishap in their restaurant one evening.

15 dollars for the wifi in a 5 star hotel is ridiculous.not even motel 5 charge for it! The place was clean but an old hotel.

Service is not dead at The Ritz (San Francisco, Nob Hill). The staff was genuinely wonderful. The area is close to Chinatown and Little Italy, but the whole city is very walkable. Union Square is down the hill. Nob Hill is safe and has some nice hotels and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel. Nice food, pretty rooms and unlike many Historic Hotels...The Ritz has great air quality...no musty smell! Everything is up to date. This Grand Hotel has retained it's character and beauty.

Luxury at a new level

From the moment you arrive the Ritz, San Francisco is absolutely on point. The Front Desk Associates go above and beyond to accommodate your needs. The rooms are classic, impeccably clean and have windows that crank open to get fresh air. The acoustics are great and noise was at a minimum. The small wine room off the main lobby is a fantastic alternative to the bar, and the in room dining is five star service. Thank you to all employees at tbe Ritz for a wonderful stay- I appreciate your enthusiasm and commitment to making each stay a luxurious event.

The staff was very caring and courteous, they went out of their way to help me. With me being in a wheelchair. They made sure to bring me everything I need during the stay My last day my blood sugar was low and I called the front desk for a glass of milk and they had it to me in 15 minutes at 2:30am, he asked if I need anything else. Every person working there was spot on with their job!! No waiting to check in/ check out. They were there in minutes when i went into my adjoining room and got locked out of my other room with the dead bolt and chain on- whoops They were so nice about my mistake!!!
