Great location but take ear plugs!
The hotel is in a great location, we walked to Gardens by the Bay and Little India and it's very close to Chinatown area. The bed was fine but a bit creaky, room is compact but perfectly adequate and shower room was great. It's excellent value for the location, only downside is the nightclub very close by - unless you like very bad karaoke blasting out into the early hours!
Very convenient, at the center of everything
Bus stop was right outside! Very clean and modern. Room was a little small.
We had a great stay at the Quay, which is walkable and also has a bus stop right in front of the hotel. There were many shops and restaurants around to enjoy. The actual room was very clean and comfortable.
The quay hotel is in a great location next to tourist attractions and Singapore river area ! Hotel room is very small but well kept ! Staff members are very friendly! They got a laundry room on the top floor very nice! Front desk employees are very kind and helpful! Hotel amenities are limited but price is affordable for the area you staying at ! Most attractions are in walking distance! Lots of places prefer cash but that can be negotiated! Love my stay though! Hotel is in excellent condition and well located! Will be back when am In Singapore
We were disappointed to find there was no restaurant or rooftop tce. The room was comfortable if tight with the oversized tv. The quote for airport transfer was ridiculously high. Very close to everything
The towels were old.
Great central location, walking distance to Chinatown, MRT. Reception staff not very attentive. More interested in sitting on their mobile phones!
Close by everything! Excellent customer service. If I were you definitely I will stay here=)
Great location. Had everything we needed. The only criticism was the mattress could have been better.
Na
Good central location and the staff are nice. The room I had was dated and run down. The carpet looked old and patchy. The bathroom was renovated and had good water pressure.
Limited room spacing
Okay accommodation for a day or 2.. nothing extraordinary… staff was helpful .. rooms are tiny but served the purpose.. Bus stop right outside, walkable to Marina bay, Chinatown
This property is close to many things in Singapore. This is a quiet place and is right in the middle of Singapore for easy touring the city.
Convenience
This hotel was in a great location. The hip on hop off bus and other city transportation was just outside the lobby. Walking to restaurants and other sights was easy. The hotel room was clean but very small. Amenities included a hot pot, house shoes, and toiletries. There was also a hot and cold water device to refill water bottles or make cup of hot beverage.
Good Location
Great Location - weird room layout and was dis-appointed that they told us they had no towels in the building free for us to clean up in the downstiars toliet before our evening flight. We didnt want a room or anything, just a towell to dry off after the heat of the day and wash our face etc.
This property is in the middle of Singapore and is great if you want an area where you can get around everywhere in Singapore! These rooms are great for a couple of nights and the location you can’t beat it. One thing I didn’t notice is that all rooms are not the same and a little different. We booked 4 rooms that were suppose to be the same but the varied a little in style and space.
Good location
Great location
Great location
Great location with small rooms. No frills but easily walkable to the scenic spots. Front desk very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
The room was clean and adequately fitted. Staff were super prompt with every request we made. I would stay at the same place when I next return to Singapore.
Nice staff, helpful
Great location with boat quay on one side and Chinatown on the other. Loved that they had a fresh Orange juice vending machine. Bus stop was right at the hotel and train station was a 5 min walk at Clarke quay central.
Clean, good central location
Very handy and easily accessible
The location was outstanding. We walked everywhere and if we wanted a bus it was just outside the front door for those rainy times. China Town was an easy 10 min walk. The Riverfront walk was so close and a great walk at night. For us it was perfect.
We stayed for four nights in a room facing the street. Although there are bars close by and a bus stop out front, no noise reached our room. Hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to many tourists areas. Room was large and very clean. This hotel would be my first choice if I visit Singapore again.
Good stay
The hotel is clean and very central , very easy to find the way . The bus stop is right in front of the hotel and MRT is near by . The staff are very friendly . It was a very good experience .
Great location! Pictures looked better than the actual room. Overall good for a short stay.
Beautiful small hotel, close to everything. Staff was amazing .
The room didn’t matched with what I have been shown on the picture. Too narrow and difficult to move within the room. Not worth the price.
I came from the United States and booked this well in advance..and my experience here exceeded my expectations. Even though it was months earlier when we discussed transportation from the airports to pick me up..They were prompt! The one was very nice and clean! With small fridge and air conditioning! Would definitely stay here again!
Good value for the price. Dining options for a GF person was limited in immediate area although found around town using public transportation or long walk. Public transportation is right out front of hotel ( bus stop) so there's always folks hanging around during the day and early evening. Overall, place is quite, clean and has on site laundry.
This is not a five star hotel but gets five stars for being exactly what is advertised. For a one night stay we went with a very cheap “no window” room. The room was small as expected, but cleaner, newer and comfier than expected and the location is brilliant a two minute walk from boat quay.
Very clean and very conveniently located.
Great location, great price. Comfortable rooms with fantastic AirCon, lots of power outlets, lots of light switches, and rainfall shower. Bus stop right in front of the hotel. I would stay here again on our next trip.
Great location, clean, and quiet
Awesome location, close to Boat and Clarke Quay also MRT. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. Most restaurants open around 11am so not much breakfast spots.
The hot water was temperamental. Expensive for what we got. Location was good.
No hot water, barely warm. Music base or some other noise coming through to the room all night.
it a nice and simple hotel that is conveniently located. Staffs are all nice and courteous. However, the room is very small but ok.
Nice, it’s beside the bus stop. Walking distance to tourist attractions.
An excellent location to stay in Singapore. The room was small but adequate. Transport was literally outside the door and many cheap traditional eateries and restaurants within a very short walk.
Good location, nice staff, horrible housekeeping
Staff was very nice, housekeeping was horrible. Asked for clean sheets after bugs were present and they just turned pillows over. Would never stay there again.
The location of the Quay hotel was perfect. We were in an easy walk of restaurants, train station and tourist spots. We booked a very budget room with no windows and were pleasantly surprised at the size and amenities in the room. Room was clean and with no windows it stayed dark in the mornings. Great hotel choice for a couple of nights stop over if you are on a budget.
Good location, close to the tourist attractions.
This hotel is very well situated in the middle of the tourist area and is priced very well by providing basic housing (no windows) and no frills. Good deal for the cost.
Hotel was very small and basic, room size was good with a very low bed big enough for us and our 3 year old. Being on the second floor there was loud street noise all night long. Ear plugs were provided but didn’t help our 3 year old sleep and it did not get quiet even overnight. Wouldn’t stay again even though location was walking distance to hawker markets/quay
The room was clean and quiet.
It's proximity to some areas of interest to tourist. Cheap.
Cozy room
ok
Excellent
In contrary to some critical reviews of the Quay Hotel found on various websites, we were pleasently surprised with our stay. Rooms are clean and renovated, check-in as well as check-out was quick and trouble-free, hotel staff was friendly. We did not notice any street noice in the rooms. My only comment is that air conditioning in one of our rooms (the one located on last floor) could be less noisy - even if cooling was switched off, the fan was working permanently - which was bit disturbing during the first night when we were struggling with jet lag, but was no issue afterwards. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay, given the accomodation prices in Singapore, the price/quality ratio was excellent. Will be happy to stay here again.
Clean bedroom and shower. Carpet very stained in places otherwise for the price it was conveniently situated and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Overall I would recommend it.
Small room
The hotel is in a good location. The staff were all very helpful. The room was extremely small but had everything we needed. We took a shuttle from the airport but when we returned we used the metro as the reception staff helped guide us to use it.
Cozy Hotel, near Chinatown and 7-Eleven.
Nice
Our room is clean. Staff are helpful and kind. The location of the hotel is excellent.
A bit outdated but acceptable for a short stay. Towels need to be updated, ones in our bathroom are old, frayed and ripped. Area is close to bars and restaurants. Chinatown is a short walk.
My Home In Asia
When I fly to Southeast Asia, I consider my Home is Singapore due to the amount of Friends located in the Country. And the Quay with its outstanding staff including Zara who help me procure my coffee provides roomy space in which I can settle for good night stays in a central location.
Property was right by the bus station, so that was nice and the front service was helpful. However there were not enough towels, some of the light switches didn't work, the toilet didn't flush very well and the shower water got boiling hot and then cold very fast.
The property was in an ideal location where Chinatown was a 10min walk away and the Merlion and Gardens by The Bay just over 30min walk. If youre someone like me then this hotel is perfect. Theres a bus stop right outside the front door which is great. Only issue we had was the hot water would turn cold very quickly
Great stay
Stayed just for one night on a stopover on our way from the UK to Sydney. The staff were helpful, letting us leave our bags there before check in and after check out. The room was modern and clean, good air con and had added extras (slippers, toothbrush etc in room). Location is also super convenient - 5 minutes walk from Boat Quay and 10 minutes from Raffles Place MRT. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Paid for a deluxe room and got the basic room.
Conveniently located, close to all. Close to Chinatown, Raffle Place and metro.
The mattress on the floor and room with no window facing the street a lots noice with bus stop in front with noice the most terrible place ever stayed
Good value and location, needs new carpet
Location was great for me, bus stop literally outside the front door, places to eat within a couple of minutes' walk, MRT to airport not far (10mins). Room modest sized but adequate - good value for money given the location. TV remote wouldn't work, the front desk guy changed the batteries but still didn't work. Just turned it off at the wall as I didn't want it anyway. Carpet in the hallway (carpet tiles) was pretty bad with ground-in dirt. Bedroom was OK if not pristine.
Location is good, close to MRT station, comfortable bed, quiet, walkable to restaurants. The room is small, good if you will be out all day to explore the place.
Can recommend to family and friends
Great location - excellent for bars & restaurants and close to Marina Bay
Great for a quick stay. Close to food
Room too small and heard other room, but location good
Booked this hotel for our stopover for 2 nights travelling from Australia to the UK. Based on cost and location. The room was entirely functional, clean and had sufficient space. The staff were superb, sorting out the faulty safe within 20 minutes of reporting it. The hotel has no dining facilities but there are plenty of options nearby. The nearest MRT (underground) was Clarke Quay, which was about 5 minutes' walk, so very convenient. Overall, we would stay here again.
Noisy and tired hotel
Our room was on the second floor with a busy road and bus stop right outside. It was not advertised as no windows and there were some, however they had been boarded up so there was no natural light. Unfortunately they were not soundproof and we were kept awake by buses all night. Cleanliness wasn’t great and the bed was hard. Don’t waste your money
This is a bargain price hotel (because of small rooms with no windows) situated in an ideal location very near the Boat Quay with lots of services nearby and very friendly, helpful staff. Very good choice for low budget travellers.
Great place to live
Loved my stay here
Loved location, staff, layout/design of room. Could.use new carpet on FL5. Lighting controls in room way too complicated.
Nice enough for an inexpensive overnight stay. A bit thin walls so can hear conversations in hallway and neighboring rooms. Friendly staff!
Good location in walking distance of downtown and Marina Bay. Room a little small but acceptable for the price. Staff very helpful and accommodating.
Really nice and clean hotel in a great location with friendly staff. Reasonably priced for what you get. Only feedback would be that the WiFi could be better
Very good hotel
Very clean hotel, excellent location, friendly staff.
The Hotel let me check in early.
Conveniently located. Close to all. Rooms was small though.
Great location. Perfect hotel for the quick 1 night stay in Singapore. Excellent staff. Will definitely stay at this property again. Great value for money.
This thr best and affordable place to stay in Singapore. Every place in our go to list was 10-15mins walking distance.
A very non pretentious good old style service hotel near to Chinatown with a bus stop at the door. The double decker bus for sightseeing stops literally at the hotel door
The hotel is located at the center of many attractive spots and also has bus stop right in front of it, so it super convenient. even to walk to clarke quay, old hill police station, fort canning park, capitaspring or merlion are all close to the hotel. only with some dust in room and when make up they just make bed but not vacumn or wipe the furniture in room.
Room was clean, rainfall shower was a plus! Staff was friendly. Would recommend for a short stay, considering room size.
Staff very helpful at check in. Close to rail and Clarke Quay
the room was super small
Clean and friendly stuff! Enjoyed our stay very much!
สะอาด ห้องน้ำดี สะดวกต่อการเดินทาง ขึ้นรถเมย์เที่ยวสะดวกกว่า mrt ในบางที่ จากที่พักเดินไปที่เที่ยวได้หลายจุด
DO NOT stay here if you want to get any sleep at all. First off, upon entering the room it was boiling hot, as the aircon only turns on if you're in the room and moving around, it also smelled like hot sewage. All the towels and pillow cases in my room were tattered, stained and/or had holes in them. There were hand prints and smudges all over the mirrors and windows as well. So overall it didn't feel very clean or taken care of, that i could kind of handle as it was in an ok location and had a bus stop out the front. What i could not deal with was the constant music until 3am blaring into the room! There is 0 sound proofing at all! It felt like i was sleeping in a night club! I had just arrived from a late night flight so i had no choice to stay, but i actually got 0 sleep. I played white noise out of my phone at full volume and I could still hear the bass from the night clubs on top of that!! It didn't stop until after 3am! You can also hear constant noise from other guests as well, but that was nothing compared to the music. I had to check out the next morning and find another hotel as i was supposed to stay 10 nights there but there was no way i could handle 0 sleep for 10 days. It was actually insane. The music coupled with the tatty bedding and towels just makes this place a horrible place to stay. 0 out of 10, would never stay again.
Really small room
Really tiny room with no place to put luggage or really anything else. No place to sit or put clothes. Can’t open windows for fresh air; they were all taped shut. Lots of noise from the street at all hours of the night. Nice bathroom amenity kit, but pack your own conditioner. Slippers, large safe, tiny fridge (that wasn’t cleaned out from previous occupants). The lighting in the bathroom was much too dark, even with the lighted mirror, but this is a common problem in most hotels. It doesn’t seem to occur to hotel room designers that you might actually want to *see* yourself in the bathroom mirror. Overall, the room condition wasn’t great; it was definitely starting to look old and worn. The floors were quite dirty. The location was great in terms of proximity to bars and restaurants, but for the price, there might be nicer properties in the area.
Clean, convenient location, affordable. But above all, CLEAN.
部屋が綺麗で過ごしやすかったです
Although a lot of different staff none of them gave the impression that they really do not want to engage with you! Except the lovely housekeeping lady on my forth floor! The property was more than tired … that’s why I said Comatose, the carpet on my floor was FILTHY, Stained and the walls paintwork Dirty and chipped, needs a complete overhaul, small room with NO WINDOW! As a well travelled person, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT!!!

The location is great.
