Good but not excellent

It's one of the newest hotels in Georgetown so we decided to give this a try. Pros: Attentive service staff Cons: It's quite an open concept with a small lobby Toilet in the West Wing was choked (probably due to public access) There were no clear instructions on pool access and we had to come down to the lobby to access to the West Wing No evening turn-down service

We booked 4 nights and extended to 3 more... We just love The Prestige, the whole staff is working for your well-being and thrive to please you. An absolute winner for me!

The hotel floor is dirty and the drinking cups aren't clean. there are some stains on the bedsheet.

Convenient location with nice rooftop pool with nice view of harbor and sunrise. Encountered some issues with room check-in, WiFi password and in room amenities.

Boutique Hotel in Georgetown.

Friendly staff, we were greeted with smiles though out our stay. The hotel is relatively new, so in good shape. Unfortunately our room was right next to the service elevator and cleaning equipment storage, sound proofing wasn’t up to par, and the noise traveled.

Awesome stay with aweome staff

Had a great stay in penang, the gotel staf at all level was fantastic. Very nice and friendly and also very helpful. Richel and Ahmaf at the front desk were especially great in helping with anything needed. Hotel was clean, food was great, accomadoatiins were nice and location was perfect.my wife and i reqlly enjoyed our stay here.

One of the nicest hotel

This was one of the nicest hotel I have ever been to and I have travelled quite a lot. The service was absolutely amazing form the moment we stepped out of the taxi until we left. The room was big, the beds were comfortable and the pillows as well, the food at the restaurant was good whether it was the breakfast buffet or lunch à la carte (not much local food though). The rooftop pool was very nice with a great view. I highly recommend it.

Loved the hotel itself. Very comfortable and a good size room. The breakfast was fabulous every morning and loved the hospitality.

The properly was perfect! Well designed, comfortable and generous to its guests. We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

Overall clean and modern place to stay. Got a mouldy towel for drying your feet by the shower. Breakfast buffet selections were not great and some food were quite bland.

Nice clean & modern hotel. Staff were friendly & accommodating. The hotel was situated in a convenient area & provided a good base to explore Georgetown without being in the middle of the town. The swimming pool was great but it was busy & there were not enough beds for everyone at times.

Beautiful hotel with very friendly and very helpful staff. Cafe place in-house is good and conveniently located right across from the elevators.They also have a restaurant, a wellness center, a small gym with just a few basic weights and machines, some kind of deli store and even a flowe store. The infinity pool on the rooftop is small but nice, the view onto the seaport is a bit of a downer but that's really the only complaint I would have. Otherwise it's a very nice hotel also conveniently located 5 walking mins away from the ferry.

One of our favourite hotel

The location is so so good! Walkable to various places and less crowded surrounding. The room is clean when check in with various complimentary amenities (coffee and tea, snack, etc) available. Staff service is excellent too! The room is quite “open”, not really suitable for family or friends though.

The hotel is exceptionally clean and well-managed, providing a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Highly recommended!

The whole property was always kept in immaculate condition. The staff were amazing and a very special thanks to Zain, one of the hotel managers for taking extra measures to welcome me and my wife. We totally recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a holiday in Penang.

Beauty and comfort in the heart of George Town.

This hitel was simply superb. Strategically lcated in the eart of the historic and UNESCO-protected George Town, and justva stone's throw from Little India, Chinatown, and the port the hotel offers very good comfort. The facilties are clean and the staff extremely helpful and professional. The decor is modern and tasteful and a good night sleep os almost gurabteed. We will definitelt return here on our next trip to Penang.

A good option in Georgetown

The Prestige did not exude the experience i expected at a supposedly luxury hotel. The welcome experience was average at best and the welcome drink was poor - basically a can of Carlsberg in a bar area with zero atmosphere. Rooms are modern and interesting but ultimately the glass box shower is impractical style over substance. Really enjoyed the roof top pool and the different seating options which was ideal on the hottest days. We had to call to have towels replaced as they werent reprovided after cleaning for example.

Great stay in Penang! Definetely worth it!

Gorgeous room but no beauty sleep

Very stylish design but the bedroom is not comfortable - the aircon panel has a bright green indicator facing the bed and the clock panel with bright green letters make it very jarring for those sensitive to light. my sleep quality is quite poor as a result. Our suite has the bedroom on top but toilet is below so for those who need the toilet in the middle of the night , this room is not the best. The minibar offers some snacks , beer and a complimentary bottle of wine which is a nice touch Hotel.com members don't get any privileges here unfortunately

Wonderful property in a great location in Georgetown. This is certainly going to be our go to place next time we visit. Staff was very helpful with parking.

Greeted by friendly and attentive staff

Overall it was a nice stay, except for the late checkin which is expected to be 3pm but delayed, however it provided welcome drink and some snacks at a nice place so it still be okay. Room was really nice, totally enjoyed about it.

Rooms are well furnished and in tip top condition. Complimentary mini bar and movies were a nice gesture.

Lovely hotel. I found the staff to be very professional and courteous. My room was very spacious and comfortable. The pool area, although not huge, was a great place to cool off. The hotel is close to dining areas like Little India and the Jetty area.

Overpriced for this type of room and facilities. The lighting should be brighter, especially along the corridors.

Beautiful hotel, lovely big room, comfortable bed, cool bathroom. The rooftop pool and view from the pool was amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful, although we occasionally had problems with a language barrier most had very good English. Breakfast very nice with a decent selection. Location of the hotel was great easily walkable to the tourist attractions of Georgetown and a cheap Grab ride to Penang Hill, Gurney shopping malls, beaches and airport. Reception staff also very helpful with ordering Grab for us. Really enjoyed our stay.

Convenient & value for stay

This is my 2nd times stay this hotel . Hotel room is still looks news n comfortable.

This is a relatively new hotel, so everything was fresh and new. The staff were excellent and the breakfast in the Glasshouse was very good. Great location near Weld Quay and the room was very bright and spacious. I will gladly return.

Lovely location near little India but easy walk to their areas too. Great pool ( small Area) and view. Would stay again.

The staff both at the front desk and at the glasshouse were simply amazing. All the glasshouse staff were extremely helpful and enthusiastic. Made us feel very welcome. The Management needs to take a look at the cleanliness around the property, esp the lobby washrooms. It was always dirty and had flies in them. Very very disappointing for a 5 star hotel.

Very comfortable stay. Staff are very friendly & helpful. For breakfast there weren’t much vegetarian items in main meal but they quickly customised noodles for us which were nice. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay memorable.

Highly recommended boutique hotel!

The rooms are modern, design worthy, comfortable and pleasant. The location is perfect for visiting Georgetown on foot. However, as high as I may rate the hotel, the staff deserves an even higher rating as their professionalism and politeness sets this hotel apart.

The hotel was wonderful. Beautiful downtown hotel with nice roof top swimming pool . It was even better than expected. The price was amazing. staff was friendly and helpful. There were great restaurants & cafe within walking distance. A little deffetive is the toilet door, the sound will be loud when the door closes automatically。 Great location , Walking distance to everything downtown. Free shuttle bus stop is very near to hotel . We really enjoyed & would definitely stay there again.

Easily accessible to tourist area. But to walk to mall typically take 20-30 mins. Grab is needed

Virtually Perfection

This stay was virtually perfection. Everything worked in the room, the bed was super comfortable and the staff were friendly. There's a hidden hipster cafe just opposite, and while there may not be anything to see/ do on the same street itself, most places are within a 10 min walk or short Grab ride away. The rooftop pool was nice for a quiet relaxing chill. The only gripe I have is the sound-proofing in the room. We could hear the guy in the next room sneeze (5 times), people talking when they pass in the corridor, and when they ring the doorbell for the next room, it sounds like they're ringing the bell to your door.

Fantastic stay. Most comfortable bed and love the whole design of the room. Will stay in this hotel when I next travel to Penang.

friendly Central Hotel

Nice hotel in the old part of Penang. Very helpful and friendly staff. Limited dining facilities, it was fine for breakfast but a bit limited for dinner. However many people visit Penang for the food and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants in the area to try so no real hardship.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and efficient, but not the air-cond. Temperature was kept at 25 Celsius although it has set to 16 Celsius all night.

Great hotel, very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the complimentary drinks and traditional sweets, nothing fancy but appreciate the thoughtfulness of the hotel.

The Prestige is a new, modern hotel in George Town - it's packed with amenities and mirrors. Our room was big, clean with a superb shower. The staff were always helpful, polite and really attentive. The hotel is situated right next to Little India, with all the great eating options that exist there. The pool was great, with a good view over the bay. Highly recommended
