Just amazing all round. Service was top notch, bed was super comfy and area was great to walk to everywhere we want to. Love the hotel!
Peninsula has been nice every time. Room was roomy.
Excellent 5-star hotel experience. Every detail has been thought of, all amenities are readily available to you, and the staff are always pleasant and ready to assist. Riley a wonderful hotel and experience.
This was an outstanding Hotel. The service was excellent, and everyone was friendly and helpful. I would be more than happy to stay here again.
Top notch service and staff, property sooo well designed, generous rooms, pool was amaze, class act hotel
It’s a pity that the only restaurant available for breakfast is by the reception / entrance. There are so many people walking with suitcases and talking next to the tables while you are eating. It is not enjoyable. I asked how come they don’t open the restaurant at the 24th floor for breakfast, I was told that it’s open only when the hotel is at maximum capacity. That is the only negative point about the hotel from my perspective.
Deliciously exquisite
The Hotel is a beautiful expression of modern and traditional design and architecture. We stayed in the deluxe king room (because they were so booked up), and for one of the smallest rooms, it was huge with sitting area, full couch and a walk-in closet with vanity that is almost as large as the sitting area. You can literally put 2 king size beds in the closet and have enough room to walk around. The room is immaculate and demure at the same time. No over the top, ornate decorations. Just very tasteful and extremely high quality build and amenities. The feel is modern Japanese with vertical slated wood paneling and soft thick carpeting. Solid wood furniture, all high end from the equipment and bedding to the tea and coffee. Everything about this room drips with luxury. The service from the time you exit the car till the time you enter the room is truly exceptional, but not snooty or pretentious. Every staff member we encountered were so gracious and gregarious. And there were so many staff members at every corner of the hotel. Most of all, they sincerely expressed pride in the service they provided, and offered candid opinions. We really enjoyed talking to the staff and sharing their stories. The only drawback that we encountered were some snooty, entitled customers who seemed to take for granted the exceptional service by the staff. As it is a 5-star hotel, some visitors seem to have lots of money, but sometimes, not enough class. But that's not the fault of the hotel.
Excellent and truly 5-star hotel experience
Beautiful hotel in an excellent location connected to the Hibiya Station with access to several Tokyo Metro lines. We loved our stay here!
Peninsula Tokyo is among the best hotel in the world. The service was excellent. Room is spacious and classically decorated and in excellent condition. Staffs were attentive and knowledgable. Would request the hotel to reconsider the price of orange juice though.
The property is very well maintained! However somethings are a little outdated like the tech. The housekeeper also only did evening turndown service once even though we were not in the room. Our friend that travelled with us got it every night.
It’s a famous hotel and stayed in HK before but Tokyo was one of my ideal hotel wanna stay, but it is too old and light is dark. Still good hotel but it much older compare others
Great stay
Outstanding hotel service with great facilities. Breakfast is good quality but a limited quantity and option. I’m used to the plentiful buffet of other Peninsula properties. The a la carte option just isn’t the same.
The rooms are very big given it’s in Tokyo
The property is in a great location and very clean, however the staff was disjointed and not friendly. The concierge was inconsistent at best and not very helpful. Numerous times we were not greeted by the front desk upon our return to the hotel.
Great
Exceptional property and service in a great location. Highly recommend!!
Overall the hotel is great it’s just that the rooms decor is a bit tired compared to other hotels that we had stayed in whilst in Japan.
Fantastic property, great location, 5 star service, lasting memories.
Excellent service and attention to details.
Excellent location and staff, older hotel
The hotel was in an excellent location right next to the Hibiya Station. Lots of food and shopping options within easy walking distance around Hibiya and Ginza. The hotel pool and gym were both nice, and staff were very helpful and friendly. That said, the hotel is definitely showing its age. Lots of interior details clearly came from a different era, like the light controllers and the lack of electrical outlet by the nightstands. We all had to plug our phones across the room, which is hard when one person had to be up super early for exercise and breakfast before meetings while the rest of the family wanted to sleep in. We had a high floor suite, and the room was quite big for being in Tokyo. The walk-in closet was bigger than some hotel rooms, but the carpet in the walk-in closet smelled like dog urine which was unpleasant.
Fabulous experience in a great location with exceptional service from the hotel.
Highly recommend, the location is amazing, the rooms are spacious and the staff is beyond helpful. Will be back for sure.
It is what you expect for a 5 star hotel. Friendly employee, always helpful. Nice location, quiet yet walking distance to GINZA. Restaurant inside the hotel is a bit lack on service, very slow and sort of chaotic.
The Penninsula was outstanding in every way and cannot be faulted. Truly outstanding! Comfortable and sleek with every amenity.
The service is excellent. I was traveling with my 84 yo mother who needed a wheelchair. The concierge was able to arrange special tour for us and transportation. The tours were also excellent. We would absolutely come back again.
5 star! Everything was wonderful.
I paid extra the corner room for extra spaces , however the room is the same size as the standard room, the only area I can think of which may be 20 sq feet bigger is the corridor when we entered the room which is totally useless. The room is so run down, no late check out, we need to leave sharp at 12.
Wonderful experience
it was amazing
The most special hotel, ever. I would come back to Japan just for this hotel. The staff is exceptional, the rooms are so, so lovely. The spa is better than anything you can dream of. If you can swing it, this hotel should be added to everyone’s list. It will ruin you from any hotel in the future. It’s as close to heaven as you can get
Best Hotel Stay Ever?
Stayed in Tokyo for 2 weeks at the Peninsula. The service, cleanliness, facilities are all top notch. One of, if not the best city-hotel stays I've ever had.
Overrated
Not my favorite hotel to be honest. Rooms are old and tired. I can hear the other rooms so not sure about the quality of sound prof there. It is the only hotel I’ve ever been that they wouldn’t allow you to use the hotel amenities the hours post check out till you leave. You leave noon and you can’t do anything afterwards. Not staying there again.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff, made us feel at home.lovely views from room and fantastic location.
Everything was great .only breakfast it's not buffet. Breakfast was small portion.its not anough
It has always been a best hotel.
Hospitality Fatigue?
Peninsula Hotel has been our go-to Tokyo hotel for many years. Location and the design of the rooms are really attractive. However, whilst the room charges have been on rapid rise due to high demand especially with the opening of borders around the world, the service level has been dropping particularly when compared to 5 to 10 years ago. Getting concierge response to emails had been especially challenging - at one time taking weeks to get an email reply and only after multiple chasers. The team that has remained strong all this time is the team at the front entrance and driveway receiving guests. We are thankful for that.
Great Hotel
Very good hotel, friendly staff and excellent location.
As good as usual
As good as usual, been here for the third time already
Great rooms, Great location, Great staff.
Very kind and accommodating staff!
Great location, beautiful building. A bit old facilities. Staff didn’t listen my all requests ( seemed forgotten some of them)
Will definitely return! Sophia at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure my trip and meetings were successful. Thank you so very much!
Spacious room and all staff was excellent services 👍👍👍👍 Keep up the excellent services
Terrific experience
It was amazing stay in all aspects. The most I liked is the room is spacious and has huge windows allowing us to enjoy time during in the room. And also the customer service was excellent.
Fabulous experience, extremely nice staff, Tokyo people are amazing and numerous!! Amazing city, many options, this hotel get access to the subway and is a plus!!
lobby restaurant staff was very slow, except the crew on Friday, March 13 (excellent service). the rest were not even up to the standard the Peninsula usually provides.
made me disappointed
Upside: Sophia at the front desk was absolutely superb. She found everything I needed before I even talked about it. And that was one of the few good things about the hotel. Downside: no refill nor additional bottle of shower gel, conditioner etc. Only 2 bath towels for 2 people. No wine glasses even though a bottle of wine is in the fridge. Leftover wine in a glass was left after housekeeping. I don't know if this was the policy of Peninsula Tokyo, but I have never experienced the same thing at those top-rated 5 star hotels. I feel sorry to say this but Peninsula Tokyo puts all Peninsula Hotels around the world down big time.
The artwork is amazing. Location great. Super luxurious hotel with wonderful personnel.
Amazing stay with my baby Very friendly service 24 hr room service various menu selection Clean and comfy bed Location is fantastic for shopping and eating Room is very spacious in Tokyo! Will be back for next trip
Property was beautiful, breakfast was great, staff was friendly & was close to subways & trains.
The lobby restaurant staff were excellent. I wish there were more dining options.
Great Location and service!! The room upgrade was incredible!
My husband and I travel quite a lot and this was truly one of our favorite hotels ever. The service is amazing and the room lovely. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!
great
great stay and location in Ginza. We have booked for the family suite with pikachu theme. the room provided late check out till 7pm but apparently we need to inform them 3 days in advance. So they did not manage to give all our rooms for late check out, only one room given. Others are all very good.
It is as good as it gets. Great neighbourhood, connected but quiet. Service was perfect. They even sent us a birthday cake after seeing the d.o.b. In our passports.
The staff were lovely. Polite and very hospitable. Extremely clean.
The Peninsula has a spectacular location in Tokyo and the rooms and property are top notch and very much like other top Peninsula properties. Staff and service and courteous and perfect. It’s a well run operation. Over breakfast the GM stopped by and spent a lot of time with guests adding to a highly personalized experience. Certainly one of best hotel experiences for us.
Fantastic location
Fantastic location and lovely big rooms. Style is more classic than modern. Lobby area a bit awkward as it’s also a restaurant and as we were on holiday out walking/exploring in extreme heat all day, we were dressed casual (shorts, T-shirt’s, flip flops/sneakers) we felt rather uncomfortable and unwelcome each time coming through the entrance of the hotel. If on a business trip or dressed up for dinner it’s fine. We didn’t feel this way on our way out or back from dinner.
Conveniently located with friendly staff with excellent service. Would definitely come back. Great hotel.
Love the room..
Excellent hotel and great stay. We love the room and local area. Definitely we’ll return
Amazing experience - great food, wonderful service and location
This place is true to the service of 5 stars hotel. Attention to details! The area is walking distance to the heart of Ginza and 5 minutes close to grand central Tokyo railway and subway station is under the hotel. Super quite !!
True to the 5 stars luxury hotel
The place is amazing with incredible service and polite staff. The room is 500 sf for standard room type which is large in Tokyo. The amenities are high tech, expresso coffee machine and breakfast room service is included in the standard price room. The pool and spa service is nice and very clean. Guest was given goggles and hair cap for swimming. Love this hotel
Excellent location, friendly staff, beautifully set afternoon tea arrangements.
Loved this hotel. Amazing room great location
Extreme experience
Everything was beyond my expectation, the service, the room setup, they were all perfect. You know that the hotel was trying to make every guest to feel comfortable when staying with them, you can find it in every detail. A couple of weeks before I came to The Peninsula, I contacted the concierge to discuss the room setup for my wife's birthday, and everything was done just right. The flower was stunning, the birthday card was touching, and even a beautiful birthday cake (which I forgot to ask). Generally, I enjoyed every minute with The Peninsula and I will definitely come back again when I visit Tokyo next time.
Beautiful new hotel; artistic lobby with huge chandelier and live music part of the day; artistic room with comfortable down pillows and blanket; close to main Ginza shopping and dining; friendly bellboys greeting at the door; helpful concierge helped make dinner reservation. Would definitely come back again!
The rooms need an upgrade commensurate with rate and star rating. I was also disappointed that they have only two (oddly timed) aiport shuttles that pick up at the location. They tried to make up for this with a room upgrade, which only meant a room with a park view (versus city view).
Great hotel, location, staff, services.Recommend to anyone going to Tokyo
I lile this hotels is was great hotels i will recommend this hotel to my friends
The staff was friendly and helpful and the room it is big and the location fabulous i will recommend this hotel for everyone i know.
Peninsula Tokyo
This hotel was phenomenal. Great service. Lovely rooms, very spacious. Well worth the price.
The staff went overboard to be helpful. I cannot imagine a better experience.
This is our 4th stay at The Peninsula Tokyo. To sum up in short, it is our favorite hotel in the world, still is and always will be. This was yet another heavenly stay!
Exellent, especially staffs attention to the guests.
Nicest hotel and the best location in tokyo, great food and service
Elegant hotel in the center of Tokyo, just across from the Imperial garden and close to a subway station. Japanese - inspired design. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel is excellent and the Japanese restaurant is very good. Lobby restaurant has international dishes. Very good breakfast a la carte, but try to not sit to close to the hotel entrance . Overall, great rooms with spacious bathrooms.
Best Hotel in Tokyo
Best of the Best!!! Got upgraded twice by the super nice staffs. Everything about this hotel is five star. I stayed in so many five stars hotels already and Peninsula Tokyo definitely one of the best in room and service
Great room, terrific staff, good location. No Executive floor, no breakfast included, limited number of restaurants, no shopping or gift shop. Very expensive.
More than excellent hotel
We enjoyed so much the glamorousness of the hotel, the beautiful room setting, the spectacular view of my room, the excellent and warm service from the staffs. The location is perfect that the transport, food, shopping are all easily to access.
Perfection
What can I say? Everything they do is perfect and too-notch.
Is amazing always in peninsula
5 Star Earned
Absolutely fabulous from arrival to departure. Could not have asked nor expected more!!!
I loved this hotel! The room was so nice, comfortable and spacious. The room service was great and so was the spa. This was my first stop on the trip and I was happy to find movies and some english channels to choose from while I was getting over jetlag. The staff was really nice and helpful too. This is the best 5 star hotel in Tokyo by far.
hotel in good position staff at peter bar were extremely helpful and charming
Wonderful hotel in the Giza area of Tokyo
This is a true 5 start hotel. The rooms are extremely large and you even get a a walk in closet. The amenites such as the pool area is fantastic and the location is right across from the Imperial Palace. However, the best part fo the Penisula is the staff. I can't say enough about the staff and espcially the concerige. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and we will be back.
Top of the Top
My adult daughter and I had the pleasure and privilege of staying at The Peninsula Tokyo Hotel. Importantly, it is well situated close to the Imperial Palace and high end shopping with a convenient access to the subway in it’s basement. Our “basic” room was very well appointed with a sitting area, comfortable beds, huge dressing area and an amazing bathroom—two sinks, huge soaking tub (with a waterfall affect down one wall and mood lighting) private toilet area, and fabulous toiletries. The most impressive aspect of the hotel, however, was the staff. They were highly trained professionals whose core mission was to exceed customer expectations. Congratulations to Peninsula management. It is rare to experience such flawless customer service.
Fabulous location direct access to Tokyo subway
Pleasant hotel close to the Imperial Palace gardens and Ginza shopping area. Direct access to the efficient Tokyo subway. Friendly helpful staff.
Favorite hotel in Ginza
Nice as always. Best hotel in Ginza area although the furniture start feeling dated
This is a six star hotel folks!
Your top rating is five stars. This hotel rates six stars!!!! The staff anticipated our every need.
Absolutely deserving five stars
The staff of this hotel is outstanding. They anticipate your every need.
It’s always my favourite hotel in Tokyo! Convenient place, friendly & helpful staff! Special thanks to the Concierge Team who’s always helpful despite last minute request!
Excellent!
Will come again with certainty. Service was impeccable and the room I could not fault.
Very classy hotel in Ginza
My stay was too short to really get an opportunity to enjoy all this hotel offers, but I very much liked what I did see. Very comfortable rooms, great amenities.
Pleasant and enjoyable!
Excellent hotel with excellent service
Amazing experience in peninsula Tokyo. Layout of the Room is excellent, service is more than good. If you have to say something negative, it is a little bit out of yuroku chome as a matter of fact n therefore quite a long walk to ginza core area.
Loved my stay here. Would definitely come back and recommend this to friends and family. Staff goes above and beyond. Water and amenities are always stocked. Close by to shopping and restaurants
