Great place and location, staff is wonderful. Beds are horrible and extremely hard. Other than that great place
Really nice place to stay with Panamá attached to it.
I like everything.
The music at 3 am from the other hotel
Our first night, room was on 1st floor our view:the parking lot. Very noisy, beds, pillows not comfy. TV was tiny. Only one hand towel for 2 guests. No sheet under the comforter. It was the comforter and then sheet on top. Second night: We upgraded room to a 4th floor and ocean view. The room was remodeled. Very nice! furniture and bed and pillows very comfy. No fridge though.
The pool!
We like that it’s not down town. Great pool
no hot water,
no hot water in room, friend got bug bites from bed. AC leaked water in the room.
The swimming pull is great! The view to the ocean is unique.
Good hotel I'll took it again
I liked the location, but the beach is to rocky and you can't swim
Food was good. Room was clean. I didn’t like that there wasn’t a sheet to cover yourself. Beds need to have a mattress sheet and a second sheet to cover up ones body not a covet. No facial towels, only one hand towel. We were two people…
Ocean view is amazing
Excelente
Unfortunately, the hotel is visited by many persons that are not staying in hotel, they are there for the restaurant. So I really did not like this traffic.
The head board area of bed was something I disliked as I kept hitting my head against it at night.
Highly recommend
Discovered that the restaurant within the resort “Panamá” is very popular! Very good too!
Hotel muy bonito, me la pase muy bien en mis vacaciones.
Everything about my stay was enjoyable, great facilities, great ubication
Had a nice little balcony with ocean view. Restaurant on site to have breakfast on the patio facing the ocean. Parking was across the street, so wasn’t convenient to easily access our vehicle.
The Panama cafe
I am handicapped and was very afraid of a slip and fall in shower. But shower had a handle and floor tile not slippery. Also, another favorite was that PANAMA is in premises so room service was delicious.
No sabía que la alberca grande estaba cerrada , el aire ni funcionaba muy bien . El staff no es tan amable
The people were rude as all hell we will not go back there for sure
The stay was good. The staff was not friendly at all.
Satisfactory
It was average. Amenities were very limited, need more staff in the front desk, pools and rooms were outdated.
It was quaint. Very very busy with daily visitors . No toiletries at all or wash cloths .
All was excellent
N/A
Really loud construction pool area was shut down Limited space on beach
Pool under construction
Nice hotel!
Will Visit Again!
Came for the eclipse. Had some doubts according to previous reviews I read online. But my stay was great! Nice views from room, excellent housekeeping service, great amenities and convenience when it comes to food options. Definitely try out Panama Restaurant and Bakery - they have good breakfast options. Great bar too. Only wish the infinity pool was up amd running. It was under construction during my stay. Overall, I loved my stay!
Good Service, Comfortable Hotel
Beautiful ocean view.
Construction at the palapa and pool area.
Overall hotel staff, both front desk and housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in a little early. Had a housekeeping issues that was resolved promptly. Restaurant staff, not so much. Also, most resorts/hotels have entertainment within the hotel but this resort didn’t.
Great place to stay woth great food. Beach view was amazing.
The property was under constuction. Nothing was said when we bookedWorking until the middle of the night , noisy. Swim up bar was unavailable. We were directed to another pool, through piles of dirt, heavy equipment and the pool was in a great state of disrepair...peeling paint, missing tiles.... very old. There was a waiter to get drinks but he had to go all the way back to the main building so service took a very long time. Extremely disappointing to say the least. Certainly did not get what we paid for....rip off!
Family oriented
I was bummed the pool is not open.
We have stayed in this hotel twice an we always have the best experience. I just didn’t like that the pool was being remodeled an we couldn’t enjoy it as we liked too
Terrible first the infinity pool is renovating its olnly a little pool by the swim bar not to clean they have another pool by the club house was ok to crowd with children and people my personal opinion didn’t like the room was fine. Iron iron board hair dryer clean nice room no ocean view City view
There’s a different language barrier and that none of the staff speech any English. I also felt that the locals were treated better than white visitors/Americans. Several staff would refuse to assist you. This happened exclusively in the Panama, bakery and restaurant. I’ve been going there forever and never experienced anything like this. The hotel were fabulous and friendly. The bellhops and cleaning staff were amazing

There were construction projects over the pool, and the staff was unable to provide an option, just saying there is a casa club nearby, but ee have to cross the machinery installed by the sand. The hotel property is old. I definitely don’t return to this area.
Great time. Friendly staff. Room clean and neat. Thanks
The property was under construction too much noise.
They were doing construction. So we couldn't use the pool or half of the area of the hotel and the food from the restaurant Panama was bad, it made us sick
The property seemed old and damaged
Very please
La alberca esta en construcción
The property was under construction which they let us know ahead of time. Most of the time the construction did not interfere with our sleeping. But there were a few AM's when construction started around 7 AM. Staff were warm, friendly and tried to be accommodating. If you are travelling to use the resort as your main place to be at-I would highly suggest another resort. If you have plans sightseeing outside of the hotel and have other adventures to see-the hotel is lovely. I can't wait to see how all the construction turns out and would definitely recommend staying here once it's done.
Everything was great. Rooms are a good size and well appointed. Area is nice to walk around. Staff at hotel speak English and are friendly and helpful. Only drawback was the rain
Restaurant Panama, resort room with ocean view, coffee in room, resort areas cleaned , safe, accessible and comfortable for guests and families. We celebrated 53 wedding anniversary with some inconveniences and complete satisfaction. We enjoyed our stay at the Palms Resort.
resort under construction. Don't come here
Outdated rooms
Great stay
The pools were undergoing some renovation but aside of that the facilities were good, clean and comfortable
Gtlreat
I was at the Palms resort January 20-27, 2024. I was travelling alone, and my first room was booked mountainside. The facilities weren’t suitable for my mobility issues and they were kind enough to change my room to a handicap room with more grab bars in the bathroom. That was on the main floor facing the pool, which has been under construction all this time. Housekeeping was really good and the trouble with me is I needed more grab bars, even with the curbless shower. The bed in the handicap room was far too firm, so I needed other blankets under me to be comfortable. My suggestion, for any of the rooms would be to have at least one chair with arms. I had a lot of difficulty standing without that extra assistance. The staff at the front concierge area was very good and I’m sorry to the guy that I kept calling Diego instead of Alberto 😟 he arranged a cab for me to go to the airport on the morning of my departure The Panama restaurant is part of the resort and it is an exceptional restaurant, but it is so busy that I was never able to have breakfast there because it was too full. The hotel and Mexico tourist areas in general have really improved with handicap ramps just about everywhere except to the beach area. The Palms resort is very close to all the other tourist activities and money exchange.
No gym, small swimming pool, no fridge in the room, not much choice of food in restaurant
Disappointing stay
Shame I have to give Palms Resort a negative review but the construction noise from the new pool spoiled this trip. Construction noise starts early, around 7 am and lasts until 10pm. The main pool which used to be beautiful is closed and big panels are blocking the sea view. One can not enjoy their morning coffee due to ongoing noise on ones private balcony. There is a 2nd pool next door but no beach access and behind a wire fence so it feels a bit like you are in a 'prison camp'. The very young staff is fantastic though, as is housekeeping and the rooms are great. Would not stay again untill after the reno is complete. They still charge full rate!
Got wrong room had to move the second day we were there and the construction was horrible and loud. Closed the only bar and no pool or hot tub. Don't go there ... Expedia didn't say anything about the construction going on ..
Service was excellent. Friendly staff. Food was delicious.
Great rooms, great views, great service! Staff is awesome, lots of places in this area to choose from, but this hotel is a standout...will definitely be back again, if you plan on visiting mazatlan give this place a try you won't be disappointed
All
The hotel is currently under construction and the heavy machinery work starts too early.. 0700 in the morning when that is the best ti.e to sleep!
Outstanding!
Staff are nice and Friendly
it was good
The pool was closed and will be for months. They are understaffed and really shouldn’t be in the hospitality industry. The restaurant Panama bought the hotel….they are extremely thrifty and it shows. What a shame as this was such a gem in the past.
Great experience! The best staff and the best food! Unfortunately, the pool was under repairs
Great location & a good deal
Mazatlan
The in House Restaurant was fantastic .The room service is the Restaurant and very affordable.Overall 10 and they arange transportation if need.
Some of the food staff made it a bad experience
Las condiciones de la alberca necesitan mejorar
I like being close to everything
Excellent service throughout our stay.
Love the property beach side great resort
So Dirty
Terribly waiter service around pool area
Very clean, friendly staff, convenient to restaurant
Everything was good,
Estuvimos muy contentas mis amigas y yo, solo que que el lobby hace un poco de calor hacen falta unos ventiladores
Great place but pool needs attention.
Everything was great
My wife and I booked a room at this property for 8/17 - 8/20. Hurricane Hillary sort of came out of nowhere and we needed to cancel our trip at the 11th hour. When I asked if we could simply receive a credit (vs. a refund), I was informed by the front desk that there was no hurricane in Mazatlan and therefore they wouldn't work with us. There is video of people in Mazatlan walking through the hurricane later that day. I understand that they are running a business, but it seems like they had a chance to gain a lifelong guest and, unfortunately, they blew it. Oh well.
El hotel esta en pésimas condiciones, super deteriorado y una de las albercas cerradas. Lo único bueno de este hotel es el restaurante que tiene comida deliciosa a toda hora y a super buen precio.
I don’t recommend staying here. Customer service sucks.
I was there last week our flight arrived early was not able to check in until 3PM not 15-20Minutes early it had to be 3PM which was super annoying traveling with 2 kids they didn’t even offer to take our luggage staff wasn’t nice at all, half of the pool was closed they said because ocean was way too strong but we noticed there was a super big crack on the cement next to the pool so my guess is making an excuse up. The humidifier was leaking a lot of water also When we would shower it smelled like sewer. Will definitely not be staying here.
Everything was good, the beach, location, service, the food at the restaurant was great, but the main pool was closed during the days we stayed.
Was a good value, I wish the pool was open the big one, we need a bigger pool , too small , super clean the rooms excellent and the Restaurant .
Excelente lo recomiendo todo el personal muy amable.
No ac in the lobby, reception clerk was rude, I gave her my Id and she threw it to the counter, the staff waitress was rude over at the pool bar, they forgot my order and instead of trying to fix they were more concerned over who was right or wrong. The place is old. Too many kids in the pool bar area. Kids splashing around us which cause water to splash in our food/drinks. Rooms too old. Not enough food options. Alcohol not much of a variety. Housekeeper king and maintenance people very nice.
I Like my stay with a very nice view off the ocean
Everything nice place
in the centers of the cities

Excellente hotel, lo unico que no me gusto es que a las 7:30 de la mañana la bocinas con musica de la alberca ya estaba prendidos. A sea hora de la mañana me hubiera gustado descansar un poco mas
