Beautiful property with a lovely indoor pool close to everything

I have to be honest… this is a BRILLIANT hotel! Great location, lovely modern rooms, great shower, comfy beds, blackout curtains, good sound proofing and a brilliant breakfast (shout out to the pancake making machine and Nutella dispenser!!). The only thing to let it down is some of the staff. Whilst many were friendly (especially at breakfast time), check-in was very slow (and not sure it was an isolated case as during our stay we often saw long queues for check in). And sadly the bar staff were the most miserable of all. No smiles, getting a drink seemed like an ordeal and you didn’t get made to feel like a welcomed guest; more of an inconvenience. However I would return as everything else was so good. Maybe next time I’ll get a smile or two! :)

I was upgraded to a larger room for free, but the bed had a literal divide in the middle that kept coming apart. More than once I almost fell through the middle. I appreciate the gesture, but my original single bed would have been more appropriate. Otherwise nice, but sparce. The bathroom was very clean and the decor was cute.

Under the understanding that it is purely a hotel for you to have quick stay or for business, it is good. Nothing inside the room and I saw people asking the front desk for toothbrush... no telephone in room. Room is OK and clean to stay.

I liked my short solo trip to Düsseldorf the niu couldn’t have been a more fitting place for me to stay. A short 5 min walk if that to the local underground station and a 10 min brisk walk to the main train station was ideal for myself as I was all over the city trying to see everything, the location was really quiet and nice to see families and those working in the surrounding area all coming together at the park beside the hotel. The breakfast was really tasty and lots of options but it done me perfectly as a set up for a days exploring. The room itself was tidy and set up nicely, with all the amenities you’d expect, although I did have to ask for an iron they provided it within around 5 minutes. The staff couldn’t have been nicer even in my short time here and are always happy to help and are multilingual so that helps a lot. As an improvement I’d maybe suggest explaining to guests the local areas and stuff close by as I had to find these myself, albeit not to much difficult, but pointing out a grocery store or recommending a restaurant close by would have gone a long way. Very much recommended stay to anyone in the area

Within easy distance of the main train station, decent sized room & bathroom. Only real downside was it was two single beds jammed together which isn't ideal.

The property itself is excellent, service very good. The young men mainly Arabic origin hanging around the area at night made me nervous.

This hotel is okay for value, their location is great it’s a 5 minute walk from the train station which will take you almost anywhere, but i do have some problems. Reception is EXTREMELY slow (took almost 30 minutes to check in) and, their Air Conditioning system is very wacky. It only cools your room 5 degrees cooler than the outside air temperature (as per the receptionist) so, it was 32 degrees (celsius) in düsseldorf and my room was an “ice cold” (all sarcasm intended) 27 degrees. to add to this, düsseldorf gets EXTREMELY cold at night, so if you forget to put the ac down get ready to turn into an ice cube at night, just very inconsistent. everything else was great cleanliness is good, room is nice and quiet with an okay view, and basic amenities are provided.

Check in was a disaster as the reception couldn't find out booking, we waited 40mins for the manager to come so he can put a manual booking in so we can check in, when we got to our room the TV didn't work, we spoke to reception but we're told no one works the weekend to fix it, we.stayed the whole trip without any TV in our room.

First the staff at reception were super friendly, special thanks to Haifa for also providing tips on what to do on a Sunday (when mostly everything is closed). Check-in.out were seamless. The room itseld was of good size, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The main station is a 10 mins walk away (for trains and buses). The breakfast was super delicious with a wide variety or drinks (juices and hot drinks). The only thing that could have made our stay better was if the AC had worked better; for some reason it didnt seem to cool the room and it got a little stuffy.

Great place to stay. Pretty close walk to the main station. I liked the 24 hr service and bar that is available, but be patient as there is usually only one bartender. Nearest restaurants are a bit of a walk so just be aware of that.

Great location for the tube & train .

Overall it was satisfactory, beds were a bit narrow but clean and comfortable. The main complaint I have is about the service at the bar, I got a pint of beer with rubber tape on it. I reported to the barist Andy and it was upsetting that he didn’t not even apologize or respond.

Location was good, very nice breakfast, the room had everyone you'd need. The staff of the reception could with a system training - a few of them seemed lost. Great wine at the bar, liked the eco-friendly attitude they had.

Is a pity restaurant close early on sundays, also dont sale bottles of water or coffee at night

Not sure if it ls just me but I stayed for one day but the bathroom was not fully cleaned especially with nothing to little shower or hand soap and hair from the previous guest on the sink counter. Also the front desk clerk took more for the city tax after giving €20 euros (everything else was paid for including hotel tax, gave me back €7,00 which is bs for one night; will not recommend

The location was close to the metro station which was convenient.

From the moment we got to the hotel ,everyone wasso friendly and helpful. The check in , bar staff and breakfast staff were all so lovely

Only negative was having to wait 50 minutes to check in. Everything else was smooth and good value.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, unfortunately no double bed just two singles pushed together. Breakfast is excellent, good selection and tasty. The surrounding area of the hotel isn’t the best but not their fault

Happy but not amazed.

Happy with our stay however there were a few things wrong with our stay, the double bed was two beds pushed together, the connection to the TV was not operational, the door handle on the floor we stayed outside the lift was broken, the walls in the corridor outside our room were scratched and dirty. Staff were pleasant and overall the room was clean and tidy when we arrived.

Great quality hotel in a very covenient location. Either walkable from or just one stop on u-bahn from the main hauptbanhof. Very pleasant and chilled Reception and lounge area with a great breakfast in the morning. The staff are quiet, relaxed and friendly.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very clean and the facilities were new.

Friendly Staff, who spoke english which was beneficial. The hotel itself is kept very well and the rooms are excellent for the price.

Spacious room. Didnt like the metal chair: needs cushion. Excellent breakfast variety. Liked the drink for cleaning initiative: smart and mutually beneficial. Bathroom fan in my room on 1st floor wasn't working. I suspect same in all floor rooms as smell in corridor points to this.

The hotel has a convenient location, cleanliness, and a friendly staff. However, there were notable shortcomings in terms of amenities, such as the absence of a wardrobe and an iron, and even a simple glass in the room to have tap water.

The breakfast buffet is amazing. The room is ok. There is no fridge in your room. There is no convenient dining options. I’m not entirely sure why the hotel is where it is to be honest

The breakfast spread is very good. Room is clean, very functional, good size snWell positioned and walkable to Little Tokyo and the shopping mile. Highly recommended.

Perfect overnight stay very close to the train station. Very modern, clean, sumple but perfect for a few nights. Comfortable beds a d bedding, great bathroom and shower. Right in downtown Dusseldorf. Will definitely stay again.

I arrived at the hotel almost midnight. There were so many people at the entrance of the hotel. I did smell cigarettes smoke as I passed by them. It was a Friday evening. As I go into the lobby, more people was gathered by the lounge area. I was not sure where the lobby was. I was a bit confused of the lobby set up due to the circular unique design. My checked in went fine. The hotel is clean with Asian themed wall collages in the bathroom, and very nice thick towels. The Bluetooth speaker was a nice surprise. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of options. On the back of the hotel is a very nice park, which I used after my breakfast. I enjoyed my stay at the Niu. I would stay here again if am in the area again.

You get charged for checking in 15 min earlier. Why not put a coin operator on the shower. Stuff is very rude. Definitely not a hotel for a road warrior

Cheap and cheerful

The hotel was easy to get to as it was close to the underground station. The check in process was questionable. One of the members of staff took 20 minutes to check us in even though I had already completed it online. He had to ask his colleague who was much better. On the Friday night of our stay, it was extremely loud outside. People outside screaming all night so keep that in mind. Very clean rooms and I loved the Japanese theme. We didn't try the breakfast so I can't comment on it.

Clean Modern Comfortable

Clean, modern and comfortable at a great price. This is our second stay this year and I’m sure we will be back. Easy to get to city centre, underground station a couple of minutes walk away. Downside is the view of the huge building site next door, did request a room overlooking the park but wasn’t given one

A just on-point stay

The room&the facilities are almost brand new and in top notch conditions. The Japanese inspired minimalistic is modern design for new generation of traveller. The location is a 1 U-bahn station away from the Hbf. However, the services still have a room for improvement especially at the bar. It was a bit pushing down at the time we visited the bar as no staff who is able to make cocktails as advertised on the menu. Looking forward to stay again (&to seeif the improved services) next trip to düsseldorf.

Prima hotel, maar niet ingesteld op grote drukte. Bij aankomst te weinig incheckcapaciteit en dus lange rijden bij de receptie (en ook nog eens een van de vier terminals die sluit omdat eerst de post moet worden bekeken); veel te weinig parkeerruimte ('gaat u maar naar het spoorwegstation in het centrum; daar is ook een parkeergarage') en dus veel parkeerboetes rond het hotel en bij het ontbijt waren er te weinig zitplaatsen en lange rijden - meer dan 10 minuten - voor de koffie.

Für zwei Nächte empfehlenswert. Die U-Bahn Station und der Hauptbahnhof ist zu Fuß optimal erreichbar. Das Frühstück war ausreichend. Das Zimmer war in Ordnung. Es fehlte ein Bild an der Wand, welches Spuren hinterlassen hat und der Fernseher ging Nachts immer wieder an.

I stayed at this hotel for five nights in December 2024 and, while it offered a quiet environment, comfortable bedding, and early check-in for IHG members, the overall experience was disappointing. The corridors were visibly dirty with a foul odor, and our room was only cleaned once despite being vacant during the day, forcing us to take out our own trash. Basic amenities like a kettle, fridge, or even drinking glasses were missing, and the presence of silverfish in the room raised serious hygiene concerns. These issues, especially the lack of housekeeping and pest problems, need urgent attention to improve guest satisfaction.

Gut in der City gelegen und doch sehr ruhig. Leider nur 100 Tiefgaragenparkplätze und außen sehr eingeschränkte Parkmöglichkeiten

Not that bad, but no more than that. Staff is nice. Just does not have its priorities straight.(If there is nothing to do at the bar, they chill there even though there is a huge line in front of the reception and the other way around). The room is okay. The bed is awful and they only clean places visible.

Gutes Hotel, super Preis-Leistung. Frühstück ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Für einen Kurztrip mach Düsseldorf in optimaler Lage. Das Frühstück war mega lecker und super vielfältig! Gerne wieder!

Check In hat sehr lange gedauert, da sich zwei Mitarbeiterinnen um eine Gruppe von 6 Gästen gekümmert hat, wo es offensichtlich Schwierigkeiten gab bei der Reservierung! Es bildete sich eine Schlange bis zur Türe. Ich bat dann darum, dass vielleicht eine Person sich um die offensichtlich mittlerweile genervten Gäste kümmern könnte, was dann erst passierte! Frühstück war gut-allerdings sprachen zwei Mitarbeiter kein Deutsch und konnten Fragen nicht beantworten!

Achtung belastet die Kreditkarte doppelt

Die Übernachtung wurde meiner Kreditkarte doppelt belastet. Auch 6 Tage nach meinem Aufenthalt wurde dies nicht korrigiert. Auf meine Reklamation erhalte ich keine Antwort. Mühsam, wenn man wegen solchen Hotels ständig die Kreditkartenabrechnung überprüfen muss und dann via Kreditkartenfirma schriftlich dagegen vorgehen muss.

Personal sehr höflich, zuvorkommend und freundlich. TOP Angestellte! Den Zimmer fehlten Abstellmöglichkeiten. Das Frühstück war ok. Die Gegend ist nicht die Beste!

Top Lage

Top Lage zum Bahnhof und der Innenstadt. Ruhige Umgebung, angenehm großes Parkhaus. Wenn es mal wieder ansteht, würde ich jederzeit wieder das niu Tab wählen.
