Staff is so lovely here. There is also a man who owns a tour company right on sight - His name is ChuChu0 and he is very helpful and knows the area very well. Breakfast inclusion is nice. No hot water was a bummer.

Hotel Nightmare

This hotel is the worst iv stayed in we had to cut holiday short by a week for family emergency at home in uk. Manger avoided us for days as she knew we were asking for refund for unused days. she kept saying she couldn’t speak English when we heard she could. They then point blank refused to help adding to our stress At breakfast I had to complain as the food was moldy looked like the same food was put out every morning it was not fresh. Room was run down but ok room was cleaned every day although there was not hot water in the shower it was just bearable to wash in. Pool would have been nice if cleaned and not full of dead insects. I if you stay here take insect spray and lots of mozzie stuff as they are rife in there I went the beach which is a tuk tuk ride away just to get away from the mozzies. The hotel has no atmosphere but I must say the cleaners and young girls on reception are so lovely and helpful shame the management was not the same. I will never return to this hotel.

I just got home from my trip where I stayed at MT Hotel in Punta Cana. Let me just say this was the funnest vacation I’ve ever had and I highly recommend this as a premiere travel destination when staying in the Dominican Republic. The staff including Pamela, Almieda, and many others were the kindest, most knowledgeable individuals I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. They provided a comfortable safe atmosphere my whole stay. I would highly recommend them because of the extra effort they put in each day for me to have a fun enjoyable experience. I will definitely be traveling back to this same hotel for my next vacation because 2 weeks wasn’t long enough.

The property is truly a hidden gem. The grounds are manicured and the overall views are excellent. Not to mention the staff from the grounds keepers, to the meal servers, and house keeping staff were very hospitable and accommodating. I as well would like to mention the exceptional hospitality and dedication to service that was extended to me by the hotels receptionist Pamela. Through her dedication to customer service she was able to help me, despite our language barrier and I greatly appreciate that.

Bathroom cleaning

Is ok but the beach is not close to the hotel,,we needed to take a Uber

I don't know how this property got 4.5 starts on Expedia and Google. This is a 3 star hotel at best. The bathroom was too small and there was a cockroach in it in the first day. The surrounding area is noisy with loud music. The safe in the bedroom did not work and the breakfast area was infested with flies. Terrible experience. I would not go back.

Area is alright. Quiet all day. Neighborhood is busy traffic, lots of shops. Service charged me extra for the room stating I wasn’t charged the difference per night. Sat. Was more expensive that Friday & Sunday more than both.

Quiet Quaint Roomy

I always stay here and recommend to my friends when they visit. Very friendly staff and rooms are clean and comfortable.

Además no había agua caliente en la ducha, no suministraban botella de agua para los huéspedes, no contaba con toalla de mano, el jabón para bañarse había que buscarlo en recepción. El desayuno decía hasta las 10:30 y ya a eso de las 9:45 quedaba muy pocas opciones y no reponían, sin embargo las instalaciones y habitación fue bonita y cómoda. El aire acondicionado y televisión funcionaban bien. Definitivamente es un hotel de paso, no esperes muchas atenciones ni comodidades. La piscina bien cuidada para su uso, aunque el agua Muy Fría, no da gusto ni se disfruta.

There were on AC in the room, no TV AND not hot water. The room got very hot and humid at night with no AC made even more uncomfortable. To report a problem must go to the front desk. I was on the 3rd floor, and I have to go to the front desk 4 times to report the same issue.. The hotel looks really nice in the outside and inside also, but my room has all the issue, they did not offer any solution to the problems

The receptionist unkwoledge ..Manager have no customer service. They act like you in their backyard of their house. I was charge the deposit twice!

Just an average hotel

An average hotel which could be graded as three star or less. The location is good if one would like to see local residents. It’s located in a plaza where other facilities named at the advertisement are located. There is no official tour desk at the hotel but you can find many tour agencies nearby. Nothing special about it other than one of the receptionists who could speak English and welcoming. The room was quite large but didn’t have enough lightning. Also, the hotel makes you sign a waiver paper which says they will not be responsible if anything is lost from the room. Although nothing happened, the waiver was quite odd that I had never seen in any other hotel.

Our stay was short (only one night) but it was great!

It was a great place to spend the night before going to your main property for the week. They has security to take you to the check in and then to your room. Room was large but mattress was hard, the bathroom was a bit dirty and the TV was broken. But we arrived late to Dominican so needed a place close to the resort …. The cost for one night was reasonable and we managed.

Check in was fine. Went to room. No info for internet. No phone to contact. Lack of towels for room. 3 adults had 2 bath towels, no face cloths. No facial tissue available. No toilet paper in the room. 😆😅Inside bathroom door handle missing so you couldn't close the door. Terrible squeak from same door when you try to close it. Misaligned. Bed was comfortable. Nice cozy hotel. Lucky my wife could speak Spanish to relate all the issues as staff can't speak English

Mostly can’t complain about much. Breakfast was included and lots to choose from. Pool area, some patio furniture could’ve been a bit cleaner but lots of chairs to choose from and pool looked well serviced. I guess one night a few rowdy revellers but hey when on vacation..it’s all about fun! Would definitely recommend to go if you don’t want all inclusive but a not too close to beach. Buses are readily available, or poppis, or taxis. Few restaurants in area with great food too!

The MT Hotel was an excellent property, the rooms were very clean and spacious. All of the hotel grounds, including the pool and restaurant area and the entire hotel property. The breakfast that was included had many different food choices, including made to order omelettes, many fruit choices, yogurt, many bread choices, sandwiches, fruit juice, coffee. All of the employees were very friendly and attentive. Pamela checked us in when we arrived, she, as well as her co workers were all helpful when we had questions regarding where to find a store or a place we were looking to go to, also regarding transportation choices. Pamela was also helpful in showing us all the pamphlets regarding the different excursions available to purchase. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would enjoy the opportunity to go there again. My husband and I stayed here in February of 2023 and it was a pretty terrible experience. We arrived late at night and the hotel could not find our fully paid reservation and forced us to pay for the night as a result. It was 2am and we had nowhere else to go so we had no choice. The next day they found our reservation but it still took them until our last day to refund our money for the extra night they charged us for on arrival. It was so frustrating and we didn't feel like we could trust the management to actually pay us back so we were stressed about it our whole trip. The internet is also really bad and stopped working all together a few days into our stay. One friendly guy at the front desk gave us the management wifi password which only worked in the lobby but only because another traveler who needed to work had insisted and therefore he shared it with us as well. It seemed really strange that the hotel wouldn't want to accommodate those of us who needed internet if they had a way to quickly deal with the situation. Overall I would not recommend this place.

Cozy and nice, good for short stays

Everything was great!! The property was great. The rooms were great. And the location was great. You can grab an Uber everywhere you need to go, at the most $5. Also really good breakfast.

Stay here all the time perfect

For the price I’ve paid, it was ok. Just what I needed to sleep for 4 hours. Breakfast was also ok for me.

This was my first time in Punta Cana. Choosing the MT was the right choice. The staff is friendly. There was a verbal greeting with a smile from everyone in passing (front desk, management, house keeping, maintenance, chef, breakfast staff, grounds keeper etc.) The front desk clerk (Pamela) was exceptional. The property is very clean. I walked the entire property. Nothing was out of place. My room was clean and cozy. In a corner by itself, with a sitting area outside the door. I love the layout of the property. I was there for 5 days. It was extremely quiet. There was a variety of food to choose from at breakfast (hot and cold bar). Also, there is an omelet station. This is a plus. There are several restaurants steps away. Literally in the parking lot. The beach was a 7 to 10 minute bus ride (50 pesos) each way. Everyone speaks spanish or a little english. Google translate was very helpful. I will choose the MT for my next trip to Punta Cana.

I stayed in this property 10 years ago and was glad to see that it keeps a romantic/antique and refreshing feeling. I was hoping to take a good sleep but unfortunately the bed was as hard as wood. I’m a breakfast person and was surprised by the range of options they offer. The staff was pretty diligent.

Todo bien! El desayuno muy variado, bien la limpieza, precio/calidad justo! Lo unkco que no nos gusto fue que colocaban una sola toalla de baño en la habitacion y si ibamos a la piscina esa misma debiamos usar! Fuimos un dia a la playa y nos llevamos la de la habitacion y cuando llegamos hicieron la limpieza y no colocaron toalla limpia de nuevo! Eso es algo muy prescindible, cuando uno sale de viaje no lleva toallasen el aquipaje esperando que el hotel preste un buen servicio con las toallas

Loved the MT hotel. Nice rooms, good internet, good staff, and nice pool! The continental breakfast is top notch. You can get an omelette, nice juice, fruit, coffee, pastries, or a sandwich.The staff is just waiting to serve you with a great attitude. The rooms have a safe. But this place is not close to the beach and it is not in a great neighborhood but I never felt unsafe. The taxis want to rip you up. I made friends with one that gave me a good price and kept using him. It is better if you speak Spanish. Lots of small restaurants in a walking distance. I liked the best La Chinolita. Owned by a Italian Venezuelan, the guy can cook. Ask for Pollo al Ajillo with lentils. The Hotel MT area is known as Plaza Brisas. There are like 4 little restaurants right outside on Plaza Brisas, a small market and money exchange, The bank is across the street and there is pharmacy passing the bank. If you are adventurous you can explore the small shops in the area.

The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Only 1 staff spoke English but translate app worked perfect. The location is next to multiple restaurants very affordable (except Cuban restaurant) the beach is a 7 minute moto taxi ride away. The bed was extremely hard, the restroom smelled of urine even after being cleaned with bleach. There is no hot water. The air conditioner works perfectly. The pool is nice. Overall it is excellent if you are traveling on a budget and don’t plan to lay in bed all day. I would stay here again.

Loved this place. We can’t say enough wonderful things about it. It was beautiful. We had to walk around and take pictures. I would stay here over and over. The staff was amazing. It was quiet. The pool was perfect. Even the other guests that we met were great. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our only wish was they had the buffet open for other meals too. If you ever have the chance…stay here. The rooms are like big suites at 5 star resorts.

This place is a hidden gem! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Lots of little stores nearby and the complimentary breakfast was amazing!! Great security (Louis!!) and a nice clean environment. Yes, I did see a couple of cockroaches 1 night only, but you must remember what country you are in. I had friends stay at a much more expensive place and they asked me to get information so they can book this Hotel next year as they were extremely impressed too. I can't wait to go back to this beautiful Hotel. Although you are not on the beach, Uber gets you anywhere quickly.
