Very old facility, carpet around corner super dirty. No central AIrcondition, only heater underneath window. No down quilt, we have to request 3times for blankets because blankets are so thin. Not recommended. Big room, not 4 stars, 3 is the most
I booked a 2 king bed room and received a1 king and 1 queen. I asked to rectify the issue multiple times to no avail. The staff was friendly at arrival with help for lagguage and accommodation. The same cannot be said for the departure, in particular the doorman didn't even care we had to get the lagguage up the stairs with kids. Not our first stay at this hotel and not sure if it would stay there any more.
Overall not bad
Wish there was food service in the hotel and at least coffee in the lobby.
Great location. Comfy
Such a great stay! Massive room, felt like our own NYC apartment to call home. Perfect trip!
Awesome experience
Loved it! Boutique, quiet, spacious, gracious staff
We loved our stay at The Lombardy. It was clean and close enough to everything without being too loud.
Been multiple times. Always choose the Lombardy!
Convenient central location in Manhattan. Very clean. Wonderful staff. Responsible price
This is a lovely hotel. I will stay again and again.
Was a business trip and their WiFi couldn't stay connected and the air conditioning didn't work when I first got there. The bed was hard as a rock and no coffee in the rooms, but had a regular coffee pot with no filter or coffee grounds and not even coffee in the lobby. The property is showing its age.
Wonderful staff is lovely and friendly best location
We just love this hotel. The rooms are actually Different size apartments, so each is uniquely appointed and you feel like your living in the city. The location is fantastic and easy to get to all points in Manhattan, queens and Brooklyn.
All great! But internet and gym is not included bu
Our estate was pleasant. The staff was friendly and hopeful. The only hiccup was them charging $25 per day per room " facility fee", ostensibly for the gym, internet etc. like many, we did not use the gym. Internet was supposed to be free or included. Well, if I have to pay $25 per day, it is not included. It is extra. After the fact, I found the reference to the $25 facility fee somewhere buried in the hotel services description. It has to be explicitly and obviously mentioned. However, they failed to mention it even at the check-in.
Good
The 2 bedroom suites are fabulous for a travelling family of 5. Although we had a smaller kitchenette, we were still able to make eggs and toast for breakfast. Cleaners were so helpful in doing dishes and making our stay relaxing!
Loved it!
Great place to stay with kids. Room was enormous and the staff was great. They gave my one year old a little teddy bear when we arrived, and went above and beyond to find my lost AirPods that I had left in the bed! Place is a bit dated, but not in a bad way. And totally comfortable and quiet. Huge bathtub was a plus, too. The room size, location, and staff made our stay amazing. Great value, too. Will definitely be back!
A two-minute walk from the subway, very comfy bed, no outside noise, and the BEST bath! So many hotels have shallow unusable baths these days--but my Lombardy room had an old-school tub I could really sink into!
Very cool classic apartment Hotel in NYC
The room was amazing very spacious and the service was excellent. I would definitely book a stay here again.
The staff was attentive to the needs of their guests. The room was spacious and clean. The location was close to public transportation and walkable to some major NYC attractions. Excellent hotel.
Loved this place - was perfect for what we needed. The room was missing a few things in the kitchen. No bowls, pots pans or wine glasses-but everything else was just perfect! Will be back again!
A nice quiet hotel with great access to subways in many directions. The rooms are huge for Manhattan. The property is warn but clean overall.
Great place!
Great place to stay as a family of 4! Quiet and spacious!
Wonderful will stay again!
Excellent value in ideal location.
Nice big room!
One of two elevators was out of order - but didn’t present that much of a problem - they are pretty fast, so only a slightly shorter wait sometimes. A closer place to buy water and snacks etc might be nice…but not a big deal. Construction of a huge new building on the corner requires walking thru tunnels…again, not that big a deal.
Nice hotel
Customer service was excellent. Everyone was polite and professional. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave and 2 closets, that’s rare in NYC. They could do some more dusting and put a fan in the bathroom to vent after a shower. And thicker blankets would be nice during the winter. Overall a good stay. The location was perfect and loved that there was a gym downstairs.
Property seems a bit tired an in need of a renovation. Not bad, but not great either.
The rooms are great size compared to most places.
The bathroom vanity was peeling and old
Nice and clean. Great for longer term stay
The front doorman team and the front desk team were efficient and helpful. Gorgeous king bed studio, larger than my 1 st apartment. The room was immaculate. Close to train and bus stops. I can’t wait to return!
Comfortable bed and furnishings. Friendly doormen and front desk. Only negative was the loud noise when the HVAC unit would reset between blowing air. Granted it did happen to be single dights Fahrenheit at night during my stay so perhaps that could have contributed to the in wall units working OT.
The Lombardy is an old hotel, so it is a bit down at the heels. There was peeling paint on the ceiling in the bathroom. The room appeared to have been decorated sometime during the last century. Quite dowdy. And the lightbulbs were horrible. On the positive side, we got a very good deal on a large one bedroom. And the staff was very professional and very nice. And the bed was very comfortable. I had been led to believe that there would be a freezer with an ice maker in the kitchen area, but there was not. They were, however, able to deliver ice to the room. It is a very convenient neighborhood.
HORRIBLE. DO NOT BOOK.
This is a scam and they should be sued. I have traveled my whole life and to over 80 countries. THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT. And I had a suite. Dirty. Cigarette butt on shelf when I arrived to room (!). No amenities or coffee despite coffee maker (?). No service or follow up from manager. Old, moldy, totally run down. It is a disgrace.
Great place near midtown
We were pleasantly surprised on this find. The hotel is perfectly situated, in our opinion. It is on the east side of midtown just far enough away from the frenetic tourists. Bit only a couple of blocks from fifth avenue and a few blocks from Central Park. The hotel building is a beautiful older building in excellent condition. We had a 1 bedroom King suite for me, my wife and our adult son. This room was a large apartment for Manhattan. Small kitchen, large dining/living room. Very large tvs in the bedroom and living room. The hotel put a roll away in our living room for our son, but it was too short. He ended up sleeping on the leather sofa. The sofa was a pull out so we had them make that up the next night. He said that was very uncomfortable. So he closed it up and slept on the sofa again. He said it was perfectly fine. So that would be our only complaint. The rest of the property was great. Great little fitness facility too.
Great convenient spot and the 2 bedroom suite was massive with dining room and full kitchen. 2.5 baths is nice and the terrace to get some fresh air is a nice touch.
Perfect location for walking distance to times quare. The room was clea, bed was super comfortable, plenty of space.
Excellent location, the suite is huge, nice for a family
We've stayed at the Lombardy before, and the same genteel service prevailed. The doorman and the reception staff were particularly nice and helpful. The only drawback we really found was the the room was very much overheated, and we couldn't figure out how to turn it down! Otherwise, a nice stay, and we'll definitely be back
Firstly I noticed there were no electrical outlets in the bedroom which made it quite challenging to connect my iPhone for charging. The lack of accessibility to power sources can significantly impact guest comfort and convenience. Additionally I experienced some inconvenience due to absence of coffee pods in the room. As a coffee lover I was looking forward to enjoying a fresh cup of coffee upon waking up. Unfortunately I had to walk over two blocks to find a store where I could purchase coffee pods. At 28 degrees!
Very large space for New York, perfect for family stay. Though the parking is offsite but just half of a block away, the doormen were very kind as well.
We recently stayed at The Lombardy Hotel in New York City, and our experience was truly memorable. The hotel has a classic charm that perfectly complements the bustling city vibe, offering both comfort and sophistication. A special shout-out to Gordon at the front desk, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect from the moment we checked in. His professionalism, warmth, and efficiency set the tone for our entire visit. We did encounter a minor issue with the heating in our room, but the staff addressed it promptly and with genuine care. Their dedication to making things right was commendable, and it truly showcased their commitment to guest satisfaction. The room was spacious and well-appointed, and the location is unbeatable—close to so many iconic attractions and excellent dining options. We’ll definitely return to The Lombardy on our next trip to NYC. Thank you to Gordon and the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable!
My room was similar to a studio apartment. It was clean, decent size and had a nice bathroom (with a bidet!). The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. There is parking a block away that is discounted by the hotel. The location is convenient to shopping, dining and groceries. I would stay at The Lombardy again without a doubt.
Excelent
elevaltor was out of work from time to time, maybe they need to spend some money to resolve the problem
Nice staff, nice area rooms ok but lack facilities, disappointed in no bar or restaurant
We enjoyed our stay at the Lombardy. While the room had ample space, it was not quite like the pictures we had viewed online. I was hoping for a little more seating area, however, the overall condition and space were adequate.
Excellent location and spacious king suite room
We recently celebrated New Year & my sister’s birthday in NYC & had a wonderful 3-night stay at the Lombardy Hotel, which is conveniently located in midtown Manhattan within a walking distance to shops along Fifth Ave & major touristic sites. We booked a King Suite room, which is very spacious and meets our needs of 3 people. The King Suite has all the amenities we need though there is no in room coffee is available. Highly recommend it if you like a home away from home atmosphere. The hotel bathroom can use some update.
We had a fantastic stay at The Lombardy for 6 nights. We loved the area, so easy to get anywhere from here and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Subway stop very close by. The suite was huge and had a wonderful lounge/dining area, small kitchen but we just needed it for breakfast. They only provide a couple of plates and mugs but if you ask reception they will get you pans and more crockery and cutlery. The staff at reception are really helpful and always have a smile. All in all a great place to stop with easy access to all areas. Will definitely use The Lombardy again.
Property is spacious and very clean. Feels like living in an apartment with all the facilities. Highly recommend
First time staying and this is will become our preferred hotel for New York now. It is a “dated” hotel and lacks “brightness” (I would even say it is somewhat drabby), but it is very clean and their towels are cleaned very well and the water pressure of shower is very good. Best night of sleep of any hotel we have stayed. Very quiet in the street and the heating system also quiet (many hotels we have stayed either has too much street noise and/or HVAC noisy). We normally stay closer to Time Square for convenience but decided to stay at Lombard because wanted the 1 bedroom with living room sofabed as 3 of us - instead of getting two hotel rooms. The sofa bed was insane comfortable - better than mattresses at some hotels I have stayed at. If you have 3 or 4 and get 1 bedroom it is great value for NY. A good night sleep so key and this hotel was best of any hotel I have stayed at.
A great value in a terrific location
We enjoyed this property very much .Staff was very courteous and accommodating. Location is great . We will stay here again
Staff was accommodating and friendly room was clean and they were very nice about late checkout as my wife wasn't feeling well
It was good and convenient area .
Amazing
Highly recommend
NYC great location and an amazingly quiet hotel stocked with everything! Very very large rooms for a family!! And a bonus kitchen!!
When we arrived the temperature outside was 4 degrees and the heat was not working well so the warmest we could get was 64 degrees in our room. At 5:00 am the next morning there was loud banging on the pipes, a little warmer temps but not warm enough. I asked for an extra blankets since there were none in the bed or in the closets. They told me they would send some right up with someone to look at the thermostat. No one ever showed up until I called the next morning. We got blankets and when we got back to our room later that night, they had finally fixed the heat. The pipes would bang all the time while the heat cycled off and in every few minutes which made for a very poor night’s sleep. Would not recommend staying here even though the location was fine.
We enjoyed our recent stay at The Lombardy. I will say the mattress on our king bed was atrocious as was the mattress on the pull out sofa bed. I mean these things really need to be replaced. Otherwise everything else was amazing!
Property was great, little dated but still comfy, and clean.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Easily accessible to 5th avenue and Central Park. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The property and individual rooms have so much character. The only improvement that I would like to see at a future stay would be some minor cosmetic updates that keep the character that is already there.
Loves our room . We had a studio with 2 Queen beds . Very spacious
The property is in a great spot, very close to subway station and lots of shopping and restaurants. It’s also an easy walk to Central Park. Our room was a little dated, but super spacious. The beds were super comfy as well!
Centrally locatey
It sucked
It started with being told I had to park my own car. The bed was terrible crooked uncomfortable and I couldn’t sleep. The hotel does not offer coffee in any way nor is there a coffee maker. The heater was either too hot or too cold.
I stayed here with my 1 year old daughter and the staff treated her like royalty! It was so sweet. Great place overall!
We were in the city for 2 nights at Thanksgiving. This was a great spot for shopping, walking through Central Park, Broadway, and trains for everything else. Great stay!!
My favorite place to stay in NYC
The Lombardy was a great place to stay! Conveniently located, very clean, and a great friendly staff!
This is our third year staying at the Lombardy, and we love it each time! The staff is incredibly courteous and welcoming, and helps us with any questions and needs. The suites are large and comfortable; it’s like you’re staying in an apartment! We love the Lombardy and look forward to going back again next year!
It was amazing to stay in the wonderful historic hotel.
Hidden Gem in Manhattan
Nice large suites and perfect location. Does not have the frills of a 4-5 star hotel but we find this a hidden gem in terms of value.
Loves the Large rooms like an apartment and big flat screen tvs in each room
We love the Lombardy hotel. It always feels like we are coming home while in NYC.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room.
spacious rooms and well kept with the pantry. excellent location
Place was great. Very spacious and staff very pleasant and helpful
I will be returning! I loved this hotel
Great hotel for a weekend getaway, in a great location and easy to walk everywhere. A subway stop 3 blocks away and close to a CVS. Staff were friendly and accommodating, would definitely stay again!
Safe area and good place with family
Excellent service and perfect roo
Great room, staff was excellent. I arrived earlier than check out and they worked to get me in a room early as I was meeting people.
The rooms are larger than any I have stayed at in NYC for the same price. The room was clean and well cared for. Most of the rooms I have stayed while in NYC show sign of high usage. Our room here did not. We will be back.
Large rooms ; quiet ambiance
Overall, very Homey vibes!
The property was absolutely gorgeous and the staff was incredible. They exceeded all of our expectations.
Amazing place to stay!
Nice customer service.Clean rooms.
Great value
Great location and great value.
Everything about the Lombardy itself was joyful. The only possible negative was construction down the block on 56th, but that is certainly not within their control and was in no way more than a minor detraction from an otherwise splendid experience.
Great stay
Wonderful. Lots of space.
There is a doorman at the front door but couldn’t figure out what his function was other than to watch you struggle with your suitcase going down the stairs. Front desk staff was efficient in checking you in and out. Place is kept clean.
Good location for Central Park, mid-town attractions and easy access to subway on Lexington ave to all other areas Disappointed there is no breakfast facilities, however plenty of Deli options nearby
It was ok

Always a great experience. We love that each room is different and uniquely decorated. Staff is friendly and helpful
