Best Brittanta Hotel
I was solo security Liam excellent to be fair all employees very friendly and accommodating Tommy and Adam reception professional and helpful we cannot forget the ones that keep the rooms spotless or Holly Chief lasagna my favourite thank you and Anthony for good tasty meals
Bed was too noisy and bathroom was dirty….
Staff very friendly Pool was lovely and changing room clean Good value for money on evening meal
Off-season, midweek, peace and quiet
It wouldn’t be the case for everyone, but it was perfect for me. I was taking time out to do some business planning. There was a lovely large desk, an inspiring view, friendly staff, straightforward food, peace and quiet. I don’t expect it’s the same at weekends
Lovely hotel plenty car parking space
We had a sea view asked for a room near lift and got 1 .bed wasn't very comfy this time anytime we are in bpool we always try their first to stay
Stayed at hotel a number of years now for the pigeon weekend and this time I took my wife booked an executive suite Bar shut early on Friday 10.30 no bar snacks available no room service restaurant food looked awful so didn’t bother charged for parking the car room was not at all clean not staying there again
Very polite, friendly and helpful staff over the weekend. The room was clean and suitable for my stay. Perhaps more coffee, tea, milk and sugar could be provided for arrival. 3 tea bags between 2 people is not really enough. The food for dinner was very disappointing as we could not eat until after 7pm as we hadn't booked with the reservation. There was hardly anything left and it was basically that or nothing. It looked as though it had been under the warmers for a couple of hours and was just leftovers.
it was the worst place we have ever stayed on drive up we thought it was nice looking from the get go we had someone come to car and ask us for money and when we said no got quite angry security were aware that car park had this going on but did nothing there was people doing drugs also and the place was dirty doors lobby and then you get charged for leaving your car in their car park while all this is going on and they are meant to watch also the rooms on photos are not what you get ! we had the worst room cracks in wall and walls paper thin could here people fighting and all sorts bed was terrible got a spring in my back and not clean ! bar is well over priced and staff are no help police called people taking drugs in lobby and on stairs just overall not good !!!
The room I got there was a very bad smell of smoke as I have a lung condition they moved us. Unfortunately the window in the room was screwed screwed shut. On our second evening I was struggling with my breathing as there was no air in the room. So we decided to book out at 3 in the morning and go home.
Looking tired in the rooms
Nice and quiet
We booked executive room and the hotel new yrs eve as it advertised a pool and spa , when we arrived it was all closed for our stay , this information was not on the booking. The breakfast in morning was not very nice no coffee machine it had broken , food running out. For a large hotel very poor
Disappointing stay. Far too long to check in. The room was basic not helped by missing curtains so the light pollution outside could not be prevented.
Place was clean bed was so comfy staff were friendly . Was unsure what to expect by the reviews but was totally surprised loved it would certainly stay again .
Good for a night out stay
Reception staff great. Room had brand new headboard, rest of furniture was tired, stains on the carpet and bathroom could do with updating. Stayed for NYE, close to town.
Amazing staff was great
O
It was a lovely clean hotel. The staff were bery friendly and couldn't do enough for you. I didnt like the beds though theyre sprung mattresses and very hard . Although they were a very decent size. The rooms were modern and very comfortable .
Great 3 nights which could not be faulted.
We got an upgrade on our room which was lovely.
Great hotel - dry pool
Disappointed to be told swimming pool & facilities closed for the day of stay :(
Realy good stay nice room and a lovely big breakfast. Ideal for the tram to travel around and nice relaxing bar to sit and have a drink friendly staff nothing to much to ask for. Stayed many times and look forward to going back.
Had to request a change of room, first room given was right at the front of the hotel with horrendous noise of wind coming through the windows.
Worse Stay I've ever had
Check in was fine however our room was filthy. The bath tub was so dirty it looked like old mop buckets water was thrown in there. We asked to change room which we did to go into another horror room. The toilet was filthy with urine stains all over the seat and bathtub dirty. Requested to change room but there was none available. The room was cold due to it being central heating and our radiator did not have a thermostat to adjust. We paid for breakfast and this was not noted and we were refused breakfast twice even after showing our booking receipt. Worse stay ever
Great room.
Excellent staff excellent customer service
Very good
Weekend
Good value for money, good location and all the basic services available
Awful hotel, rude staff, rotten food
This hotel is the worst hotel in Blackpool, the staff have no concept of customer service. My room 615 had a terrible smell, which the accommodation staff would know about. Whilst having a shower, a spider came out of the air vent in the bathroom. The breakfast servings were extremely unpleasant. Guests smoking outside the hotel door leaving it unseemly especially if you have a health condition. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel😡
Terrible if you want to eat. Breakfast was available but other than that the restaurant was closed and no bar food either. Also only 2 draft beers available. Property tired and in need of replacement
Nice room comfy bed. Dog friendly.
The staff where very nice and very polite. The hotel was clean. What I didn't like was that it is now contactless payments for everything in hotel. Also it was cold in the bar and only had plain crisps which are very expensive. Also limited bottle of beers which where not very cold.
Loved the swimming pool and food in restaurant wasn’t too bad
Realy good stay friendly staff quick check-in good location for all the attraction had a car in car park but used the local trams very frequent and tram stop outside the hotel.
The area xx around the hotel is a little rundown and could do with some TLC. But it is Blackpool after all
A very tired and worn looking room, with carpet stains etc. ok for a overnight stay
Lack of maintenance all over this hotel. Buffet breakfast very poor quality lack of food dirty tables and counter's
Health club closed at 5pm so was unable to use the facilities.
The room I had was much improved from those of previous stays. Some effort had been put into redecorating and refurbishing. Very pleasant stay. Well done!
The room we stayed in looked clean on arrival the bathroom smelt of phoo and the sink had brown stains all in the sink , the head board was so dusty and stained carpets . The bed was uncomfortable and stained bedding when we pulled the cover back slept on top of the covers and we both ( myself and wife was itching all night we got up and left at 8:00am we definitely won’t be returning
Basic but ok.
Tried ringing on route as we were scheduled to get to the hotel a bit earlier than 3, but no one answered my calls. Arrived to huge queue and one chap trying to sort everything out. Room wasn't ready and vague answer of it'll be ready sometime between 3 and 4 despite advertising check in at 3. No where open for a cuppa or any sort of drink until after 3, so we waited in the reception. Finally got to room. Very tired and basic, needs money spent on it.Daughter's bathroom door was locked so had to get someone to open it. My bedroom window catch was broken off so couldn't open it to let any fresh air in. Mattress was rock hard and very creaky bed. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty of it. Although queues were long Not really enough staff to go round though. It did us for one night on the way back down south, but I wouldn't rush back.
The staff we're very polite and helpful and I liked the room
Check-in was awful. Booked a twin room reception didnt know ended up putting us un a family room, which was miles away from the lift to which my 90year old father struggled. The curtains didn't fit the window they let the light in. You could see light from under the door, which didnt lock from the inside. One of the bedside lamps didnt work. The bathroom you could write in the dust. The breakfast the bacon was overcooked, the black pudding was over cooked the scrambled egg was dry 2nd day the breakfast was cold
Blackpool North Beach
Had a very late check in and this was agreed with the hotel which was great. The only issue was the room we were given had not been cleaned but this was resolved very quickly. The hotel is in a good location with a tram stop nearby and about 15-20 minute walk to North Pier. The hotel feels a bit tired and in need of a freshen up. However no complaints, it was what it was and I'd stay again.
Disappointing
Hotel room was clean & comfortable.Customer service was ok/average. Went to bar on arrival to purchase coffees. Bar man did not seem knowledgeable or interested. Ordered two cappuccino’s which my friend paid £7 for. Took 10 minutes to make and was more like instant coffee with an awful after taste. Returned to the bar with coffees & told him they were undrinkable. He offered to get someone to make some more to which we replied we didn’t have time as we needed to get ready for our evening so requested a refund to which he said it was company policy they don’t do refunds. Then re-appeared 5 minutes later with 2 coffee machine cappuccinos with chocolate thrown on top. When we later complained at the reception we were told there was a form to fill in, which we did & the would refund the following morning. No apology was offered. Breakfast was pre paid for with our booking & was awful also. Tasteless & unappetising. Paid £167 with an NHS 10% discount for 2 people. Overall very disappointed with the whole experience, especially as this was a birthday treat.
I stayed for 2 nights (18 & 19 Oct 2024). Parking was easy. Check in was quick and efficient. Room was clean, spacious and in good condition although the mattress was a little lumpy. The bar had a decent range of drinks at reasonable prices. The buffet dining was a little limited but ok and good value for money. All staff were friendly and helpful.
Great hotel
Staying in Blackpool quite frequently, so my expectations weren’t too high. I’ve been actually surprised that despite average reviews I’ve read online I was actually happy about our stay. Considering price it was perfect!
Had the upgraded seafront double room which was ok the problem was the whole hotel was freezing. 6 degrees outside and felt colder inside. Did raise it with reception who was aware of problem and not new. Radiator did come in in room for about 45 mins but was then went off again. If I stayed here again I would bring my own heater! Heating is a added option it should be included
Friendly and helpful staff.
Grotty place
Truly disappointing experience dirty badly maintained and ruined the weekend
Convenient for tram stop and Blackpool tower Hotel maybe a little tired but I would stay here again parking , good breakfasts and the shower was good
Poor quality for the price and area
The hotel is in very poor condition, or at least the rooms are. My room had a sea view, which I think from the layout they all do. The carpet was threadbare and dirty, the bathroom has had bodged repairs and the bed wasn't particularly comfortable. It was very hard to locate reception staff and I had to use my phone to call the hotel to get service at reception a number of times. The pool is however nice, well maintained and clean. It wasn't busy and it's actually a nice way to spend an afternoon or something. That said, the price was very cheap, at least compared to somewhere like Liverpool or Manchester, so it could be a case of you get what you pay for. It was one of the more expensive options for Blackpool though. We left early and got a much nicer place for the same and then lower rate though.
Bar much to be desired, tables not cleaned, slow service.
So good points - location and seems clean if a little tired in some areas. Breakfast was good if fairly standard as to what you would reasonably expect. Bad points - reception staff not the most enthusiastic I have ever had the pleasure of meeting but will let that slide. Booked a twin room and was assigned a double at check in - said would give me a twin but if you count a double bed base with 2 single mattresses as a twin then yes I got what I wanted. Noise - everywhere including thin walls so you can hear everything inside and out. Bathroom was fine except toilet flush handle almost does a 360 turn and can’t decide sometimes when to start or stop flushing. Main problem was the fire alarm going off at 3pm - never been so rudely awakened in my life and I know not the hotel fault that someone smoked in their room and I believe you found the culprit but perhaps an apology to the other hotel guests when checking out may not go amiss.
Very comfy, slept like a log. A bit dated…but still my first thought when staying in Blackpool.
It was okay and the view was lovely - nothing great nothing terrible - could hear neighbours next door.
It’s a beautiful property with amazing facilities and staff.
Great location
Great service
Road noise is an issue but no fault of the hotel!
Mid week break
Room was nice. Big bed and lovely sea view. Lots of amenities. However WiFi signal very poor and drinks at bar not good. Disabled badge gave us free parking and swimming pool was great.
The bar had no beer unbelieveable .
Just all round a dirty room and hotel bed sheets where all stained, no towels had to ask for some and the towels that where given were hand towels, just will never stay their again
Clean, huge bed, good value.
Shabby
Great and awesome services.
Check in process was not too bad, friendly and polite staff. However the condition of the room was terrible. The beds creaked very loudly with every move that they would wake up the other person in the room, they were terribly un comfy and one had stains. All the art had been removed from the room so there as random screws and nails hanging out the walls. The shower rail was falling off the wall and was held in place by a tiny screw which kept falling. The desk and cupboard was all scratched and falling apart. There was friendly staff at reception the 3 times I went down, (check in, to ask a question and check out). There are lifts and plenty access for individuals with reduced mobility. There is a pool and it costs £2 per adult and £1 per child however we did not use it as it was closed during the time we were there. Parking is £7 per day and that’s paid at reception. The car park is filthy, full of potholes and rubbish everywhere. Smallish spaces so not east to access the likes of back doors or car seats. Bus stops and tram stops almost across the road from the hotel which was quite handy, only a 5-10 minute tram from Blackpool Tower.
Stayed here between 13-09-2024 to 15-09-2024, from parking up Friday night to having breakfast and evening meal on Saturday this was a hotel which I would have rated excellent, very quiet, relaxing, calming hotel, the hotel is very clean, the staff will do anything for you and its generally quiet. The food is excellent. The rooms are everything you will need. No issues with parking or access to local tram route. Then this morning the hotel is taken over by children running around, I believe there was a dance class or something, which just led to the calm and peace and tranquil to become stressful, noisy and unruly. Shame really as I would really rate this place had this not happened this morning. I believe this is a regular Sunday thing, so be aware.
Excellent value.
Stayed as husband in local hospital and used as base. Would have preferred it if there had been a coffee lounge to have a drink in instead of having to drink on room. As a senior on her own clubs and pubs not an option and didn’t find anywhere local for refreshments. Having said that I would stay again but be more prepared. Corner room but good view of sea. Room spotless. Bed comfy.
Staying for three nights was told at reception that towels and bedsheets would not be changed. Beds would not be made up as no room service for less than four days. Buffet evening meal was tepid and poor selection. Gave it a miss on the second day. At the bar there was no bitter available only lager. The pool charged £1 to use a towel and £2 to enter the pool, sauna and steam room for 30 minutes. The room its self was ok, just, but the carpet was stained in several places (room 370). The three lifts were good but one was out of order. We didn’t know that dogs were allowed and the room opposite had a dog barking at night. Had to ask for more tea and coffee, but was told that we couldn’t have extra biscuits. Great view of the tower and sea in 730. There were notices explaining that service was not up to normal standard, but no reason why. It seems that the management were trying to cut costs to boost revenue. Will not stay there again. I guess when it was a Hilton, it was a good hotel, but it’s gone downhill now.
Good
Great
Good value
Room was hot even with the window open and the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever had to sleep in Can’t comment on staff as didn’t need them for anything the hotel itself was nice and clean so apart from the uncomfortable bed not too bad maybe better in the winter as the rooms will be warm
Reception and the restaurant areas were excellent, but the carpet in my room was dirty and threadbare in places.
Rooms get clean only every 3 days. Cleanness is overall bad. You have to pay for to use the pool. Food was really bad quality and very little variety. Staff nice and friendly. Close to town, around 15/20 mins walk.
Never again
Crap room
Asked for a disability room when I booked none available the room I was given was on the 6th floor the carpet was filthy dust on the head board never again will I stay there.
Pillows on bed extremely uncomfortable
i very much liked the location
The property loaction was ideal, the hotel standards are dyer, food choice is limited if you can get a seat and no one is throwing up. Rooms are old fashioned and dated need attention from cleaning to reparis. Banging doors all night and wind was a nightmare.
The Hotel is okay. But we went when a Dance contest was going on in a few days. And the hotel was packed with people. These dancers also took it upon themselves to rehearse outside, very loudly in the car park Only 3 lifts available for the whole hotel, with one broken. And people kept clamouring for the lifts, to the point we stopped waiting and went up the stairs. And continued this way throughout our stay, as the lifts were always packed with people. The rooms are very clean and tidy. The bathroom ceiling did have mould on it. Which was sort of to be expected, but it does need some sort of extractor in there for steam from the shower. And the flush on the toilet was temperamental at times. To the point I fixed the handle... Very expensive for drinks. And the staff in the bar were very laxed at times. I would go again though. As the cleanliness inside was superb... But will go to the COOP for drinks.
Nothing grand about it any more
The bar ran out of drinks, the lift was broken. The pool was closed. There were no towels, the buffet looked like it had been sitting there for hours, you could barely see out of the windows in the rooms through dirt. Thank god it was only one night...
The mattress on bed cheap you could feel every spring spoilt our sleep
Nice friendly staff, clean rooms only downfall is stay overs dont seem to get checked/cleaned.
Ticked all boxes
Not the hotel treatment I expected
The hotel isngoing through room refurbishment. I felt the reception staff not very professional. Just felt like they were all on the first day of the position! We booked for 5 nights and our rooms were not cleaned once. We booked a late check out and we were asked twice what time we were leaving we booked the room til midday and awoken at 9.30am.
Windows were broken and couldn't open,no maintenance after 5pm to fix them.lipstick mark's on the wall, asked for a second fan as the room was like a sauna, never received it. We were supposed to stay 3 nights but we had to check out after one night. The staff were helpful but I feel sorry for them working there
👍
Hardly The Grand hotel anymore.
Tea cups still got left over drink in them from previous occupants along with a dirty sticky spoon. Hairs all over the bed and also all around the bathroom, minging!! My room was 302 and my neighbours decided to have a bit of a party from around 1.30 till 4am in between having a bath. I’ve stopped here on numerous occasions but definitely won’t be doing again. So old fashioned. Needs a total makeover.
Restaurant only opened for breakfast
Would have been lovely 50 years ago. Now not up to the name of Grand! Nothing grand about this hotel.
10 out of 10
Room lovely
Hotel was ok for the bargain price we paid, didnt think charging £12 per day for parking was good though. Area is a bit run down but then again most places are when you are near centre for easy access. Beds comfy, bathroom adequate, bit noisy in area around hotel from early morning so if you like to have a lye in choose somewhere else
Big clean room hot shower good bar area buffet breakfasts was good will stay again
Was a nice enough place. However didnt expect to have to pay to use pool and the gym as you would have thought that would be included.
clean tidy room helpful friendly staff
Nice stay however no soap or shampoo in the room Cleanliness questions Terrible coffee on breakfast Otherwise ok
Very noisy, outdated furniture and decor

Dirty rooms
The reception area was beautiful and so was the dining room. However when we got to our room we were sorely disappointed. It was very dirty, dirty windows, frames, bath, shower curtain, carpet, light fixtures, lamps. The bedding and the towels smells if grease and we had to spray aftershave and perfume in everything! Only good thing was breakfast and some staff members. There wasn't anywhere to buty and coffee, juice or food and just sit. So disappointed is an understatement. I for one will not be back at that hotel! I even heard one couple complaining due to finding someone else's underwear in the bed! Unfortunately it wouldn't let me attach photos cause I have a few
