Good overall but not having access to ice except through bell desk was not convenient. The phone did not work in the room and there were no directions to connect to Chromecast (had to have engineering come up and teach the ācheat codeā on the remote). The room was not serviced by housekeeping by 4:30, even though I specifically contacted guest services at 9:30 am to confirm service. As a result, we did not get to have our room cleaned and had to just get extra towels.
We had a great time and we will definitely be back again .. š
We loved the location and access to the beach. The room we booked was less than average: we were at the end of a hallway through a door near the stairwell to the kitchen. The odor was unpleasant upon opening at the stairwell. We felt secluded. Our phone didnāt work in the room. We were thankful our request for an extended check out was accommodated though when our toddler caught a cold the night before our flight. Every encounter with staff was very positive.
Poor customer service
The hotel had cancelled my room and stranded me. I had to spend the next 3 hours searching for a room at midnight. I will never stay at this property again.

The location of the Gabriel is incredibly convenient, the breakfast was amazing & the rooms were super spacious and clean. However, even though it says the rooms are soundproof they are not & the location on ocean drive gets pretty loud after 6pm. I recommend good earplugs!
Noisy, bad smell in hallways
Older but renovated building. Small rooms, slow elevator but good location if you like the beachfront vibe. The staff makes the stay; all of the staff were outstanding.

Check-in was a mixed bag, as we had not one, but two employees cut us off as we struggled with our bags up the entrance stairs. One waiter actually let the door close in my face- really in my face. Check-in after that was great, but it was not to last. The phone in our room did not work, and the shower was downright flooded when we used it. The hotel reception did not answer the phone while we were there, and when we called before we arrived to confirm our reservation, the hotel phone number was downright disconnected. I ended up having to call Hilton proper, and their excuse for a non-functional website phone number was that āthey were in a shift changeā which apparently lasted from 7am until sometime after 11. Furthermore, our room door didnāt close properly, and we had to slam it with force when leaving to secure the room. Iām sure our neighbors were thrilled. Donāt get me started on the view. For the amount we paid for this room, I expected the barest level of luxury, and the Gabriel staff (other than strictly the reception desk) failed terribly. My āfavoriteā experiences included a housekeeper, looking my partner in the eye and closing the otherwise empty elevator, and we nearly tripped on a broom on our way down the hall to leave. I come from a hospitality background, and I know what the level of service and amenities should be for a hotel of this class and price point. This property should lose their affiliation with Hilton, because it really felt more like a Motel6.

South Miami Beach sampler.
Our room was a roomy suite with a great view of the beach park and a little ocean. We did not like the two short flights of stairs we had to take to go to and from our room. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The lobby was comfortable and well thought out but I would make the upper area more inviting and multi purpose friendly. We enjoyed a nice outdoor restaurant and the lobby bar. The outside patio was not inviting to use and looked closed? We would have gone there with a staff present and lights to show it was open.
Lipstick on a pig
I expected more for a boutique hotel from Hilton. These types of hotels are hit or miss and the rooms here are in the ālipstick on a pigā category. It was like a cheap house flip, where they used the cheapest material and labor possible, making it seem nice for pictures, but reality is far different. Practically falling apart everywhere. Donāt be swayed by the nice lobby. Itās fine for a few nights if all you need is a bed. I wouldnāt stay again.

When we checked in the room keys could not be created, we had to be escorted to our room each time we wanted to come and go. They never even asked for an ID to get into the roomā¦. Just tell the bell stand a room number and they let you in. The hotel was in a good area, but felt very cheap and dirty. Resort fee with nothing to show, food was not good. And we could not get ahold of a manger or front desk.. had to go down and wait for someone at the front desk⦠it was so bad we left 2 days into our stay and booked another hotel. With no refund or resolution from the hotel. We are so glad we left when did. Even if it cost us more. Read the reviews for this hotel on other platforms and you will see.
Great location!
Great value. Pretty clean, some furniture (couch in room and patio furniture) had many stains but the washrooms and bed were very well kept. Perfect location.

valet was not located where hotel indicated in previous email. valet was not at curb and did not bring car when asked and operated by independent company. room was not clean and not cleaned by house service as requested. room next to noisy old-fashioned elevator door that slammed as each guest used it making uninterupted sleep impossible. room on second floor too close to loud music on street outside and without soundproofing windows. food selection limited.
Iāve stayed at this hotel several times in the past, and it was always a little gem. The staff was friendly, the service was excellent, and I felt at home. Unfortunately, this most recent visit was a big letdown. Hotel Facility: Albeit the rooms are nice, the outdoor furniture, which used to be a highlight, has clearly been neglected. The chairs and tables in the common areas were worn out, faded, and in poor condition for a Hilton property. It was surprising to see this level of neglect, especially considering how well-maintained everything used to be. The indoor facilities also felt a bit dated, and the upkeep just wasnāt there this time. Restaurant: The restaurant was another disappointment. It used to be managed by the owner of the Byblos restaurant in Miami. The food quality has dropped significantly, and the menu seemed uninspired. I remember dining here with pleasure during previous visits, but this time it was underwhelming at best. The bar used to be inviting with a great atmosphere but this is all gone. The service is still friendly but everything else is just terrible. Not what youād expect from a Hilton brand. Itās really unfortunate because I used to love this place. Iām hoping this is just a temporary decline and theyāll address these issues soon. For now, though, Iāll be looking elsewhere for my next stay.

Reserved a room that we did not receive. Spent one full day waiting to get moved to a suitable room. Front desk and manager were rude and condescending. Location is fantastic. Amenities are fantastic. They need to find better help at the front desk.

"I had an amazing stay at this hotel The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure all my needs were met. The room was spotless and very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the city. Has a kitchen area with a fridge.The breakfast is very delicious and healthy which is free. Make sure to not miss it. They make good breakfast!!The location was perfect, close to all the main attractions. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Valet parking is amazing!!! Canāt wait to come back again.
Broken little things
For a $300/night room, there were things that were broken like our side table lamps, floor lamps and USB ports on the wall.
Everyone on the staff went out of their way to make our stay both successful and more enjoyable.
It was a wonderful spot! The front desk people were great, very helpful! It was quite a shock to find out that it was $50.00 a night just to park my car. When I went in the front desk said that I got a king size bed I could have a queen size double. I said we were mother daughter so the king bed was fine, but I would love the double queen! He checked me in, gave us the king bed room and not the step up room we reserved. We went back down, had to prove what we reserved, we showed him the reservation and he told us they donāt have those rooms and get with Expedia. He told me he offered the queen double but I didnāt want it, that was a lie. We went over it and he just stopped talking and would not acknowledge me. He said he would upgrade for the 2nd night and never did. We did love the place, just not the welcome
There was a lot of things wrong with the stay. First off how does a property take customers if their elevators arenāt working, walking up flights of stairs with baggages with no help from the staff. Then lets talk about the ice, Iāve been to hotels all across the country and this was the first time Iāve had a hassle getting something as simple as a bag of ice, every single time Iāve asked for some ice there seemed to be an attitude about it ālike this guy againā type vibes. I only asked 3 times before giving up before they got me out of character. This is South beach and it is hot and the fact that you got a tiny fridge doesnāt help especially when its fully stock with overpriced things that arenāt needed. The whole stay there was a hassle
Loved the service and the pools!
My stay at the Gabriel hotel was magnificent. It's my favorite hotel to stay in on south beach by far. Everything is so close and convenient. They had 2 amazing pools. One in the heart of the hotel and the other on the rooftop where you have a nice view of the city. If you're not a pool person then the beach is literally steps away! The bikes are a great way to get around and explore the city. The staff were very polite and helpful. They were always available when needed especially the front desk team. Mathew, Ryan, and Timothy were all so helpful when it came to asking them for suggestions they knew exactly what places were good to go to. The valet team was excellent they made sure to always had my car outside when I needed it. No complaints whatsoever I will definitely be back. Thank you all for the wonderful stay.
The hotel staff were all very helpful and courteous. We arrived early and we were able to check in before 12! The hotel's bar and restaurant areas were very pretty. We ordered some food to take out and it was very good. Our room was so spacious and spotless. They even had an umbrella in the closet which came in handy since it rained most of the time were there. The only thing which was a negative were the pool lounge chairs. The cushions were left out in the rain and they were stained.
At checkin I wasnāt greeted & the staff is slow. No help with bags & it was a few steps to carry bag up. The room is extremely small. We didnāt feel safe at the hotel or in the room. The room was dirty & it appeared there was vomit on the wall that was not cleaned well.
Room is very small. Bathroom on with very small shower that does not have a vent, so the floor is always wet, and room is always humid. May be because of that, the bed sheet is feeling wet, and cold. Location is great, but parking is with third party that charge $52/day. Staffs are great, but maids are not good. Left messages for decaf, ended no coffee package in the room at all...

The staff is great. Swimming pool is dirty and water is colored blue. The furnishings are cute but, stick to mid century and donāt mix in whatās trendy, doesnāt work. Less is more. The walls are paper thin. You can hear the downstairs music into your room so thereās no good night sleep. Bring your own pillow

Perfect location right across from south beach walkable to the ocean. Multiple onsite restaurants, two pools, cabana and beach towel access itās amazing. I will stay here again.

Amazing location opposite the beach, the location is the reason we booked here. The room itself was lacking the finishing touch, there were no shelves at all in the bathroom so our products were kept on the floor under the sink. There is absolutely nowhere to hang swim wear or anything wet, most hotels have a pull out line in the shower, simple yet effective. Overall nice stay but not outstanding x
The property is cute and quaint. I didnt like how small the room was and we did not have a long mirror (full body view) as we were usually used to when we stay at hotels. Overall we had a great stay and return again but would consider an upgrade next time.

Power went out in the middle of the night. The room became hot and it was dark in the hall no elevators working and there were no emergency lights. Only light was from my phone. AM clerk said she knew nothing because she wasnāt working and quickly dismissed the situation. Very Scary and I have terrible PTSD - NAVY Vet
staff is horrible. looking at my skin color, the hotel manager thought I was a "foreigner" and started treating me badly. they didn't have room available even at the check-in time. The room that they were planning to give me, didn't have AC working. They gave me room in a next-door building that didn't have an elevator. Very poor experience over all.

It was a nice property and great location but the room for 2 queen beds was toooo small for 3 adults.
The hotel was very nice and clean. Everything was modern and the rooftop swimming pool had an amazing view. The staff there is very nice and accommodating. We also received a complementary 2 hour extra check out time which was very thoughtful. There are cvs, walgreens, and targets around the are within a walkable distance. The valet parking is not free unfortunately. The middle of the building where our hotel room is all open, so the bar can get quite noisy at night around 12-2 am. Early and light sleepers should reconsider this hotel due to noise, but everything else was amazing.

Beautiful property half ocean view is not even half itās more like, hereās the view of a roof and a slither of the ocean. Either way you pay for a nice sleep not to stay in the hotel all day so it wasnāt that bad. Area is south beach, need I say more?
Wanted to say that the hotel reception team was excellent and it happened to be both their Birthdays Aug. 15th. Great customer service and itās a beautiful hotel. Will stay here again.
The location was perfect. Right by the beach and awesome. The only issue was the valet parking issue we had where a imposer had us pay cash for valet and still was charged by the hotel. I told the hotel staff what happened and was not even compensated for it.
Our room was spacious and the hotel amenities were great! The restaurants served delicious meals. A couple of things to keep in mind: there are no microwaves available if you have leftovers from a meal & the resort fee adds up, so make sure that you get your moneyās worth by using everything they offer!

Lovely hotel
Hotel is in the heart of ocean drive where there was lot of activity going on and very close to the beach. lobby and the restaurants are really good. Had a complimentary electric bike and the room was cleaned everyday. Not sure the type of room I had the bathroom had only half covered with glass and all the water was spilling out and the bed was not that comfy. And the WiFi was not working well. Other than that really enjoyed the stay. Would go back

The hotel has everything youāll need. The rooms werenāt too bad. The floor isnāt clean, they donāt switch out the sheets when you ask for the room to be cleaned, and there were stains in the room. I also had a staff member walk into my room without knocking on the door. I just got out of the shower when this happened. I was so scared and it made my stay here even worse. I told the staff at the front and they called the manager over and he said he would start an investigation.
Nothing Special
The front desk representative wasnāt helpful, he spoke low and fast. He didnāt care if we understood what he said. The elevator wasnāt working. We had to walk up multiple flights of stairs. The rooms are small and overpriced. There was nothing special about the hotel.
The staff at The Gabriel Hotel is amazing. Timothy and Tiago greeted us when we arrived and made sure our stay was beyond perfect. We extended our stay and Timothy was able to accommodate us in the same room for a great price. Second day of our stay we decided to eat there and Balil, Lucas, Omar, Sofia and Deniz treated us like family. We will definitely be back and stay at The Gabriel Hotel again.
Loved the property, but gave it a 3 on facility cuz the elevator was broken the whole time we were there. Hard walking up 3 flights each time.

Such a beautiful Hotel and it was decently priced. I loved the location and the beach view. Very comfortable beds and clean room! It was the best experience. Food was wonderful and came out pretty fast. Drinks were amazing and the pool area was super comfortable and it was a nice area, it also has a rooftop pool one building over :) The electric bikes were a nice addition as well :) Will be coming back to this hotel when iām in south beach the next time! 10/10 recommend!
Just dirty. The floor in my room was so dirty. Like they need a good steam cleaning they were so dirty. The grime was visible on floor. Every pool cushion and pillow had visible grime and mold stains. For the amount I paid for a 4 star hotel I could have stayed at the Hyatt which is actually clean.
Property was nice and in a good location. The staff was amazing. The room did have a sour smell but was clean. We had a beautiful view of the ocean.
Food was great. Service was great. The elevator was very slow and always full but honestly the hotel was worth it everything was great no complaints.
The property was clean and the location is great. The front desk are rude and they made me fell unwelcome. We stayed for two nights with valet parking. I went to do the check out end the lady ask me to print the receipt and I accept, but going out I found overcharged un valet parking night with the amount of 3!. I went back and she told me that was an error (I felt cheated). And then charge me 1 valet cost ($51.36) but I have to wait 4 more days to get my refund ($205.55). I recommend ask for print receipts.
