Clean, affordable, friendly staff, and not far from train and bus stations.
Cheap for city centre . Staff could be happier and more pleasant
Smelly room
Room dated had a horrible smell which didn’t go away glad were only there to sleep
Quite disappointed with the quality and cleanliness of the property. Mould in the bathrooms showing quite poor ventilation. The walls are thin and it’s difficult to block out the noise from corridors and other rooms. All throughout the night there was a constant beeping sound that made sleeping difficult. The bed was comfy but didn’t make up for the hairs I kept finding on and in it; the bathroom was the same, kept finding long black hair stuck around the place. Overall it was fine as a room/bed for the night but it wasn’t the most pleasant of stays. Wouldn’t want to stay longer than I did.
Good hotel near Grand Central Station
Good hotel which has seen better times and a bit tired Staff very helpful
Good value basic hotel
Good basic hotel. Central location, not far from Glasgow Central station. Clean but a little shabby and dated. Price okay. Didn't see any evidence of eco-friendliness, just normal hotel stuff.
Hotel was average overall - not a bad place to stay in Glasgow however it is located near a few pubs so it did get noisy at night.
Staff on reception where very professional excellent very helpful. Clean rooms. .comfortable bed . Good house keeping.
Solid base
Hotel was cheap so for the price it was great. Close to everything, train station, cinema, food and plenty shops and activities. Hotel was cleaner than expected for the price and area. It is glasgow as a local i know its a colourful nightlife in the area. Hotel bed was two singles pushed together when we had a double room. The springs were super uncomfy like ive never had such a cheap mattress before or broken one, but it was the only bad thing we had to deal with, tv didnt get a good picture either but we werent too bothered about that but others might be. We only stayed one night for closeness to a concert so id say its great as a cheap base but anything more id have rather paid more for comfort. Building is very secure which i liked, you need keycards for elevator and stairs so only guests and staff can access where we were. Did not try the food sadly we wanted to try other local eats instead but seemed reasonable pricing.
Overnight stay
The hotel was fine for an overnight stay clean, central location and beds were comfortable. We arrived early due to travel and got into our room early which was good. The lady on the reception was very polite and welcoming. The only down side to our stay was we were in a room with an adjoining door to the next room. The couple in the next room were very vocal and noisey so you could hear everything they were saying and came in at 2am singing! Needless to say we didn’t get much sleep.
Great place you visit Glasgow from. Comfortable bed and great staff. We were also able to store our bikes at the reception. The price was also good for a big city.
The location is great the beds were comfortable and clean staff were excellent but the rooms and public areas etc are in need of cleaning up and painting place looks a bit run down
Stay far away from this overpriced dump. Wi-Fi never works, keys stop working after one use. Super unhelpful stuff. Take your money elsewhere.
City break
Excellent hotel Fabulous location Stayed here before and Will again Excellent value for money Exactly what you need for a trip to Glasgow
Perfect location, friendly staff, top service
Great location
Good location, nice staff
Happy with our stay at the Clyde. Really good location, nice comfortable room and lovely, friendly staff.
The pluses: Clean hoteld and very friendly receptionists. Minuses: 1. Asked for a quiet room and was allocated one overlooking the inner courtyard, which was very noisy with large machine motors. 2. Breakfast: Unfriendly service. I was forced to pay £9.95 for a slice of toast and a coffee, there being no possibility to pay less for a very small breakfast. In addition, the coffee machine was not working so I was reduced to a Nescafe packet. No apology and no reduction.
Not what I expected
Hotel is not in a good state, very slow elevator, noizy room and old bed and sedding. The shower was very outdated and not clean. For the price they charged I expected more. Staff not friendly.
