Clean, good location, quite, beautiful hotel. We had a good 6 nights stay.
Nice and clean place
Hotel was ok just to sleep, staff was ok not that nice
We loved the blossom hotel in Kyoto!
Great place
Wonderful spot to stay in Kyoto
Love the Blossom. It’s my second stay there. Quiet hotel with wonderful lower level onsen. Nice snack bar for guests. Location is convenient for transportation and walking/biking. I’d love the bed to be a bit softer, but the rest makes up for it.
Amazing value, felt very luxurious and everything was super clean and thoughtful to the smallest details. The onsen was clean, they provided a lovely welcome drink, free snacks, and a great gym. Decent location. Thanks for the stay and will be back!
The blossom hotel exceeded our families expectations. We typically stay at 5 star hotels that cost triple the amount, but I can say our stay was as enjoyable as any of those properties. The breakfast is good and the location is convenient. The guestroom was immaculate and the bedding was comfortable. Our only complaint was that the pillows were hard and they didn't have an option for soft pillows. If we go back to Kyoto, we will definitely stay here again.
What an amazing hotel. This just felt luxury as we turned into it! The staff were amazing, the rooms were amazing and then the added perks of a guest lounge with free snacks/soft drinks and the amazing hot bath/onsen. We will definitely reccomend this to anyone as it’s a 6 minute train/walk from Kyoto station and a 20 minute walk from gion.
A lot of amenities, nice bath area, on site laundry machines, drinks and snacks all day, welcome drinks and light meals
One of the best hotel stays
Great
Friendly, helpful
Hands down one of my favorite hotels. The staff was extremely accomodating. Room was quite large by Tokyo standards. Onsen was fabulous, clean, easy to access. Downstairs there is a gym I was able to get a morning workout in. Also have free coffee and snacks in a communal area, great place to eat snacks from outside. Convenient area, close to train station, easy to catch a cab. I read some of the (few) negative reviews and I have no idea what people they are talking about. Room had good lighting. Not a great view, but who cares? You come to Kyoto to see the sights and eat the food. Would stay here again and will definitely recommend hotel to friends.
The property was beautiful. The rooms were nicely laid out and spacious. It is amazing especially for the price point. The staff is very helpful. They set up our taxi for the train in the morning.
This is a very beautiful hotel! One of the larger rooms we’ve stayed in while in Japan. Everything looked newly updated. Near Kyoto station and an easy train ride or walk to popular tourist destinations.
One of my favourite hotels of all time. Beautiful and clean rooms with Tatami mats, although it is a bit small. The room really felt premium. Basement had access to free soft drinks, coffee, tea, ice cream, and small snacks. Paid laundry machines are available 24/7 and you can check the status and remaining time on all machines on your rooms TV. Only thing is it does not do a great job at drying. Location-wise it is close to the subway and has a bus stop nearby that takes you to the downtown area. Staff is friendly. Would love to stay here again!
Very clean, breakfast is excellent, stuff is amazing and easy access.
This was a great stay. Room was spacious and clean, great amenities, and really enjoyed the public bath. Definitely recommend.
A very unique hotel. Complimentary snacks, big gym, and friendly staff. You get a welcome drink as soon as you check in, I opted for the matcha and it was amazing! Shopping areas are walkable, 711 is right across the street. Would definitely recommend.
Really enjoyed the Blossom A truly beautiful hotel with a lovely Onsen. Would highly recommend this one due to the really nice touches from the welcome drink to the buffet breakfast and midday snacks
Would definitely stay again
Great hotel. Try to avoid rooms on the south side as it faces the fire and ambulance station— especially if you are a light sleeper. Otherwise and even including this, it’s a great hotel.
Loved the location, ambience, onsen, amenities
Loved this hotel! Very nice clean, staff was great. Location was central and easy to use subway, trains, or bus around to different parts of Kyoto
Although everything is rated high, keep in mind that they have smoking bins I believe inside the elevator. the smell was strong and for a non smoker it caused a headache and the smell traveled a bit out to the exit of the elevators. other than that my stay was great and enjoyed it a lot. if they can help with the smell I will definitely return again
It was a good stay in Kyoto. Property was very nice, and while I was pleased with the condition and the staff, there were a lot of minor things that made me feel like they did not have the Western-style accommodations down completely and it felt like I was straddling two worlds sometime. Mind you, this hotel caters to Westerners and the alike, but if you are over 6ft, please watch your head when entering the rooms-- my 6'2" spouse kept knocking his sunglasses off his head when he would enter the room because the doorway was low. Also, there was no view from our room, just other people's personal home balconies. Woodfire smells coming from those homes at night, right into your room. Lots of sirens at night (I did not even hear as many at my stay in Tokyo). The elevators smell like someone has been smoking in them constantly, which really bothered my asthma, as did the incense at the front entrance. The location was very good, and there is a grocery market and restaurants right next door. There is a restaurant on-site, which I only had breakfast at, but having to bring two breakfast coupons instead of them being able to look up my room number was slightly annoying. I also felt very, very rushed at check-in and check-out, and when I requested a water at check-in instead of the tea or alcohol drink, I did not get one. Those are pretty much my only complaints. Hotel was actually very beautiful. And the antiques ceramic shop nearby was great. Restaurants nearby were great.
The hot spring is great
Excellent staff and facilities. Rooms were large and clean. Had a great time and would visit again.
Very easy to travel around areas close to Kyoto.
- Staff were very customer service oriented - Property had a complimentary snack area - Location very convenient to shopping and eatery area. - Transportation such as train, bus, taxi, and Uber are all available.
Stay in Kyoto
I had a wonderful stay at THE BLOSSOM KYOTO. The hotel was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The attention to cleanliness and comfort made my stay truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto!
excellent
No.
This hotel was so nice! I loved the tatami mat floors and the breakfast was amazing. The staff was also very kind and helpful as well!
The Blossom Kyoto was a lovely hotel. Very nicely appointed, good price and close to the metro. We particularly appreciated that the restaurant in the hotel was so good and convenient. Restaurant reservations for tourists are hard to get so it provided a great alternative. Really enjoyed this hotel.
Excellent staff, amazing value
Beautiful hotel with stylish design and comfy rooms. Good location with lots of dining options within a walking distance and it’s also right next to the subway station.
Public bath was very nice. Snacks were good and plentiful. Shared microwave was a drawback. Service was excellent.
nice experience
Overall a great hotel, with a couple of issues: Pros: Beautiful entrance and lobby Friendly and helpful staff Clean, comfortable rooms Free drink and light lunch (with the breakfast package) Good variety of breakfast options Cons: Rooms lack a view and can be a bit noisy at night (possibly due to nearby emergency services like ambulances or fire trucks) The food quality is mediocre—despite the variety, the taste doesn't stand out. One staff member in the restaurant (during breakfast) was less friendly than the others. When we asked if we could sit in a quieter area away from the breakfast table, he seemed hesitant and unhappy about accommodating us. However, just a couple of minutes later, he seated other guests right next to us, which was confusing and made the interaction feel a bit awkward.
A great stay at Kyoto
a clean new facility at a great location for sight seeing transportations and shopping. enjoyed the stay a lot.
This hotel is very well managed, it provided all the facilities I need for travel. The hotel is very quite, room is very clean, and location so convenient.
No customer service. Better off staying closer to Kyoto station
Super delightful stay. Close to everything - on a busy street but very quiet inside the hotel. Public baths and gym were very nice and relaxing. Free hot drinks, sodas, and popsicles for the kids on the lower level. Breakfast was great and staff was super helpful - we were so bummed to leave!!
This property is beautiful, very helpful staff, wonderful breakfast, nice restaurant, lovely room, super quiet- must say it was such a nice surprise and such a great choice!!
Onsen was perfect and convenient!
Amazing spacious rooms staff is great and always clean, complementary coffee and snack lounge is an added bonus
Really great hotel. Nice and clean. The team there were super helpful
Loved this hotel. Room was fantastic!
The Blossom is a beautiful hotel from the moment you enter and its decor. Rooms are more spacious than other hotels we stayed, only down side is no tub just shower. Breakfast Buffet is great and alot of options. Second time we stayed and will stay again if in Kyoto.
The welcome could not have been better... felt very welcomed after a long journey.
Good for families
Comfortable, firm beds and pillows. Good breakfast buffet with both western and Japanese options. There are free snacks and coffee in the lounge area, and you have an option to get a light early afternoon meal as well. Hotel is next to a grocery store, where we easily picked up anything else we needed. Staff are courteous and very helpful. Our 8-year-old loved the hotel. We would stay there again.
Pleasant stay. Professional, competent staff, but they could have been a bit more friendly.
Excellent
Excellent experience of hospitality, very good communication from staff. Good location, quiet area. 15 minutes walk to Daimaru area
A little oasis in Kyoto!
Great experience staying her for 5 nights. Staff is friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable and the location is good. No complaints other than the WiFi was a little spotty at times perhaps they can work on improving that. I would definitely stay here again!
Everything was great but the beds were extremely firm.
Awkward Staff Interactions + Strictly No Tattoos
We gave this hotel a solid 3. While the bed was comfortable and clean, the service was pretty awkward. Check in and check out was stuffy and strange. There was some weird vibes overall. It felt like the restaurant staff was hovering or starring at us throughout our meal or when selecting buffet items. The breakfast itself sort of lacked exciting options. Very limited choices and a lot of the food felt cold. My partner did enjoy the croissants. We were unable to use the onsen due to having tattoos… the website does not mention tattoos are strictly prohibited. I wished they had special hours for tattoo’s guest to use the onsen, even one-two hours where tattoos could be allowed would be a nice offer. The room had no windows to open so after showering it was very hot and steamy in the room. The location was close enough to some hot spots like Pontocho. Great neighborhood for drinks and food. We probably won’t stay at this hotel again unfortunately.
Wonderful
Friendly staff and the room was great. No view from my room though.
Really nice hotel. Clean, friendly staff. Felt safe walking around the area.
Great location.
This is a wonderful hotel. The staff was very hospitable and made us feel welcomed. We arrived at the hotel early and they held our luggage until check-in and delivered in our rooms when we came back later. They provided all the amenities we needed and free snacks. Onsen was very relaxing. Very good breakfast. We would stay again next time we come to Japan.
Multiple beds, clean
It was great. The room was cozy and has 2 beds for my person family
Awesome staff. Clean room and shared areas. Delicious food. Great overall service. Perfect illumination. Onsen is awesome.
The welcome drinks were a nice touch!
So far ok
Great location, easy access to gojo station, 15 min walk to Nishiki market and shopping centers.
Good contemporary hotel in convenient location
Good location as close to station, restaurants and shopping. Room was comfortable and spacious. Guest lounge was soulless so didn’t use it.
This Hotel exceeded our expectations and was very accommodating to us during our travels.
Loved this spot and would definitely recommend it to travelers. We arrived and felt welcomed and staff was both helpful and friendly.
Loved the hotel. Staff were extremely helpful on everything. Very relaxing. Location was good. A delightful place to stay.
Amazing staff and location. Food, attention to detail, and room was outstanding. Really recommend it. A
Great and Attentive Service
Wonderful one on one service. The guest lounge Snack and beverage offerings were the most generous unattended service I have ever seen. All staff members very warm and friendly.
Good location…
it is fine property though wouldn't remember it in a few years; bldg itself is nice, entrance is great with zen-like atmosphere; rooms are ok
Great location great staff great breakfast. Overall. Very good. Loved it and Kyoto!
Lovely hotel. Very modern
Amazing hotel. Loved the Onsen. Stayed 2 extra nights because of the hotel
We had a very comfortable stay here - the room was beautiful and very comfortable with a little seating area which was nice. The blinds were blackout so we had complete darkness if we wanted it. Loved the tatami floors - was a nice touch. The bathrooms were also very comfortable and amenities were very thoughtful too! It isn't quite in the hustle and bustle of the busiest areas of Kyoto so you do have to walk a bit to get to places, but there are bike rentals nearby and we really enjoyed getting around the city on bikes!
Great place
Think this hotel was decent. Not anything to rant and rave about but also not something exceptional either. I did love that they had coin laundry available the check in staff was nice but all in all I would say the rooms are average. WiFi didn’t work the first day told the man at the desk and he never came to fix it, called again the send day lady fixes it, 3rd day stopped working again. tv not turning in in my friends room. No view. The lobby area and down stairs public bath all look better than the actual room. Hotel location close to public transportation so that was nice.
Rooms are not clean and there’s an issue with ventilation. There’s dust everywhere and the beds are very uncomfortable.
Nice hotel, great service
Gorgeous
Great place to stay. The hotel is very clean and offers a delicious breakfast buffet option which is great considering a lot of things in Kyoto open later around 10/11am. The bathhouse in the basement floor is a great addition. They offer robes and slippers and snacks and beverages. They have a laundry mat with six machines and you do not have to worry about laundry detergent or dryer sheet although there can be a long wait for laundry. Everything is done through the machine and even washes and dries in the same machine so you don’t have to worry about switching the load to a dryer after the wash. The place is about 15 minute walk from Nishiki market. They have a large lobby space with many seating area which is nice so it doesn’t feel so crowded as a lot of spaces in Kyoto are small. Would definitely stay again next time. Everything was provided and convenient.
Thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect and everyone was so helpful, nice, and accommodating. The washing machine and dryer were great for a quick wash (wouldn’t recommend for more than a couple shirts but you are able to add more drying time if needed). Will be back. Everything very convenient.
Great place
Would stay here again.
Hotel decor was phenomenal. It made you feel like you were staying at a hotel double the price.
My favorite hotel out of the 3 I stayed in Japan.
Such a lovely hotel. Smells so delicious and the staff was so kind. Rooms are more spacious than other hotels in Japan. Would absolutely come back.
Very clean hotel. Service was friendly and the room was a great size for my husband and I. The location is great and close to shopping. Would stay here again.
Loved staying at the Blossom. The facilities seem really new and clean - love all the thoughtful touches such as (1) quiet close sliding doors (2) no touch elevator buttons, and (3) adjustable layered windows (blackout curtain options). It was nice to be a little further off from the main touristy area, but easily accessible via a 15 minute walk. There are several affordable, casual restaurants nearby, which made mornings amazing (breakfast is hard to find in Japan if you're jetlagged). The staff was very helpful, including helping us get cabs early in the morning to get to Kyoto station since we had heavy bags. The only downside is that it IS situation on the main road, so if your room faces the front it can be a little noisy - but we didn't find this disruptive. During normal hours you can hear the traffic and any sirens, which tend to be rather mild noise-wise in Japan anyway. We found this to not bother us, one of our more sensitive sleepers would use her ear plugs and be fine.
Second time staying here, wonderful
Everything was great!!! The bathhouse was amazing!! The only thing I could complain was the window view hahahahaha! We didn’t get a view sadly, only the view of the building next door.
everything is good.
Really like this hotel on our trip, will visit again in the future, thanks.
Nice and clean for customers
Excellent hotel and location. I would highly recommend it. The staffs were very nice and helpful! Loved our stay at this place.
Loved this hotel. Beautiful hotel that was classy and elegant. Great customer service. Large rooms and spotlessly clean.
Great property, super convenient to the subway system and easy access to some touristy sites. Only downside is that it’s close to a fire station so dependent on what’s going on you may hear some sirens now and then.
Really great. Wonderful breakfast and bath house. Rooms are perfect.
