Great Birthday Weekend!
We had a great stay, went for a birthday celebration with a friend and loved that we were so close to so many things. We were there to catch some Broadway shows and see the sights and the location of the hotel was perfect. The rooms were spacious and clean. The elevators were a little small and slow but it was a beautiful hotel. Would definetely stay again.
Nice hotel. Convenient to lots!
I like it very close to Times square. Like everything about it just only one thing is hard to find the parking lot.
Great location. Close to time square.
Property location is good but the property itself is very outdated. Standard rooms are old and there are thermostats to control the temperature. Got upgraded to a better room making the second half of our stay comfortable but would likely not book again.
Great Hotel & will stay there on my next trip to NYC!
Made this my home for almost a week and the staff was 👏 amazing. The door men greeted us daily and were so kind to us. Housekeeping was friendly and great at their job! Front desk accommodated our late check in and were so nice which is a big contrast from the rest of the city. Definitely will return. Great location to the studios and broadway and times square. Great location 👌
Have stayed at The Belvedere several times, love the location and size of the rooms.
HIDDEN FEE UPON CHECK-IN FOR "FACILITIES" usage. They charge you an extra 21 dollars a night to use "facilities" when their water fountains don't work, the gym is smaller than your bedroom, and I can't even tell you what they even have for facilities, and they can't either.
3 star hotel. Everything was just average. Check-in was slow. Maids would knock and walk-in without waiting for us to answer. Morning coffee was not very good. Hotel was close to several of our Broadway shows.
Love my stay
Nice theater district hotel!
We greatly enjoyed our one night stay at The Belvedere! The location could not have been better for a night at the theater. The outdoor facade and the lobby were pretty and nicely maintained. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was nicely sized for a NYC hotel and well appointed with comfortable beds. My only complaints were the clingy, torn shower curtain, the wall mounted toiletries that were very difficult to squeeze, and not enough towels in the room and poor condition of some of them. The bathroom was otherwise clean and in good working order. The complaints were minimal and did not greatly impact our stay. We would consider staying here again!
Great convenient location!
No AC? No kidding!
We have stayed many times at the Belvedere Hotel. We have always been impressed with value it offers. However the last stay was disappointing. We checked in at midnight due to a late flight. The front desk said they were not full, but we were given a room right next to the elevator with no thermostat to control the temperature. We asked if we could upgrade the room, but he said there was an upgraded room available but we would have to wait until morning.. He said he would have to send an engineer up to turn off the heat. We had to sleep with the window open and listen to sirens and traffic all night The bathroom had mismatched handles on the shower faucets and the cold water leaked down the wall when you turned it on. We were charged a per night service fee at checkout even though the listing said all fees were included in the rate quoted when booked. We purchased the least expensive room, but the rate should not be based on any of these maintenance issues.
It was near everything and we were able to get an early check-in.
Didn’t like bed and I wish there were duvets instead of thin blankets. Not a fan of the soap dispensers.
Great hotel spacious rooms
I love this hotel, New York City hotels tend to be small. For the price it was a very large room. I’ve stayed here five times already and I will continue to stay at this hotel.
All good and would recommend.
I got unlucky with the room assigned to me. I did not get enough rest in the morning. Room above or beside me I think is undergoing renovation. Too much noise. Constant pounding and construction noise.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, and EXCELLENT location!!! I would definitely recommend them.
Very convenient to attractions
I liked how close it was to every place I wanted to go especially Radio City Music Hall. The staff was very nice and helpful as well even upgrading my room for free. Thanks again!
Not good
This is my fourth stay. Alwsys a good experience. Very convenient location with food and shopping c lose by.
Our room was very dusty the was dusty all over the curtains. It was so dusty you would smell it. The tv doesn’t work! I didn’t make a big deal out of it because we were only there for one night
Great location
Clean, comfortable room, perfect for theater and concert venues
comfortable clean without friendly frontdesk staff
comfortable and clean but front desk staff seemed unhappy or negative. not friendly
A
Staff are nice and friendly, the place is like a two minute walk to Times square. Clean room aa well. Would stay here again.
The outside of the hotel and the lobby look OK with an art deco style, and can be a bit deceiving as you expect the rooms to have a similar vibe. However, we got a double room on the third floor, and it was very dated in terms of the furniture the decor, and the bathroom fixtures. The wallpaper was peeling and had stains. The water coming out of the shower was too much for the drain to handle, you were flooded within a couple of minutes of getting into the shower. There was a strange, clanging noise coming from between the rooms, it sounded like someone was climbing stairs with steel toe boots, it was very loud and it woke us up several times a night during our stay. The bed was comfortable, but each bed only had two pillows which were quite flat. Overall, the room was not a place we wanted to spend any more time than we needed to and I would not recommend this place to friends or family
Friendly service. Clean rooms . Parking available
Great
PLEASE PUT NON SLIP STRIPS IN YOUR BATH TUBS! I slipped twice and almost fell. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Other than that I love the Belvedere!
Awesome place and staff!
The price was reasonable and it was a convenient location
Perfect location!
Location is fabulous! Within walking distance to all the broadway shows and Times Square and easy subway access!
It was a very noisy property. A lot of noise when the heat kicked on and you could hear everything in the hallways and everything outside.
Close to all transportation options and in the theater areas.
Entire staff made me feel very welcomed from the time I stepped out of the car to the time I got back into it.
We had a great stay. This hotel is in a very walkable area and close to the sights we were interested in--Broadway, Times Square, Moma. The room was clean and quiet. The staff were helpful. The hotel was safe. We would absolutely stay again.
I am a doctor so I can vouch that they Definitely have bed bugs. Staff and location is stellar. Have to work on bed linen and possibly change the mattresses etc.will I visit again? For a short trip definitely, location is way too good. Privacy, amazing helpful staff, just wish they upped their house keeping materials.
I loved that we were able to check in early without a fee. We stay here everytime we come to NYC and love the facility and closeness to timesquare and multiple subways and bus stops. It is always clean and the staff are always so nice. The rooms are also a good size.
Love this hotel
Best hotel best personal love evryone there I will be back again
Great stay
Super affordable, very clean, staff was kind & helpful and the views from the upper floors are absolutely amazing!!!!
Very helpful and attentive staff. Room was nice and clean. No problems at all. Any need we had, it was met. Definitely an overall great experience and great stay here at the belvedere
Best personal in city
The Belvedere hotel is beautiful and I love area very close to everywhere and personal front office they are best love u guys thank u for ur amazing personality they are all eveyone amazing ppl very Freindly and very kinde and they are helping evrybody and love to come back again
Hotel was on a cleaner side Absolutely zero support from staff No water, no coffee nothing at all for $300 Awful Pathetic Neighborhood border line ghetto Check I. At 4:00 pm, but room not ready Do you do the math If it is worth it the money
Average hotel with potential
Loud heating / cooling unit Subpar coffee and Tea offered
Requested “adjoining” rooms at the time of making the reservation, when I got to the hotel was told I needed to request “connecting” rooms & that would cost more… One staff member did try to accommodate us, another did not.
Great staff and a common sense elegance to the place.
Very rude staff
Check in was terrible. The lady at the front desk us not friendly. The man Jose who worked the front entrance was very rude. Rude to me and my kids. Not nice at all! He should not be working around people.
I loved the style of the property! My husband thought it was "dated", but I felt like the style was intentional and liked it. We asked for extra towels and pillows, and those were brought in a timely manner. Room was clean. Had a hard time in our particular room regulating the heat...it was way too hot so we kicked on the air occasionally. The best part of the Belvedere was the doormen! We had great interactions with them from start to finish!
The staff were all super friendly. The location is very convenient to everything mid-town. The hotel is dated. The light in elevator is dim. I didn't appreciate the extra charge for coffee and use of gym, neither of which I used.
First time staying at the Belvedere and it was great!! Perfect location.
Staff was great and the rooms very clean and spacious. The TV in the room did not work . The bed only had 2 small pillows on it with only one extra in the closet. The bath towels are super small and felt like they needed replacing. The heater in the room was very loud . Every time it kicked on it woke us up. For the price we paid I have had much better for much less. Also we booked a high floor with a view of the bridge and we didn’t get that either. The location is great tho. Close to time square. And a great breakfast place called Mom’s.
It was dirty in the lobby elevator crack heads was in front of the building people sleeping on the sidewalk it’s was crazy then I had to have them clean bathroom because it had hair everywhere
Old and Ran Down
Photos online where decieving, room was old and ran down. There were no power outlets availible in the room, much less near the bed to charge phones, had to unplug tv and lamps in order to plug anything in near me. The lamp that had plug sockets on did not work and would spark. The ironing board was broken and couldnt iron clothes. The elevator kept not working, was broken the majority of the weekend with no notice, just waiting 15 minutes to realize it wasnt coming, all the hotel had to use a single tiny elevator that needed special access to function. My hotel keycards stopped working for no reason and the replacement key cards given didnt work either. Outside looked amazing especially with the fancy vallet but its all a scam
Hotel served its purpose as I needed to stay close to midtown. The room smelled old/stale. I had to spray lysol and body mist to freshen the room. The carpet under the desk had food particles at the far end near the wall which was nasty. Also, the rooms are old...they need to be upgraded to have more outlets in the right places.
No issues
It was extremely clean. I had a very pleasant experience at the Belvedere and hope to return again.the only negative is that they charge a resort fee. There is no reason for that expense.
Overall was a very nice experience, enjoyed my stay there .
I loved the bellman staff! Some of the elevators were not working but luckily there were two additional elevators (somewhat hidden) at the sides of the building that were reliable to use. Some of the front desk people were interesting to talk with, though I am known to be weird west coaster in my style of communication so no hard feelings there. The hotel phone lines were disconnected on the one day I tried making a call. Those two criticisms should not dissuade anyone from staying here! This place is awesome!
Friendly staff. Very helpful. Room very nice. Reasonably priced.
Great location and clean large rooms
Hotel location is amazing. We got a free upgrade, room was great with a decent view and very clean. Had read elevators were slow but with 2 operational we never had to wait long at all. For $139 we got an amazing deal given the size of room and location, understand it's way higher in high season.
Okay
My stay was okay. The elevator kept going out of service at very optimal times during the day. My room was on the 8th floor which was a hike up and down the steps.
I’ve stayed here many times. Location is wonderful. Staff is polite, welcoming and always helpful.
Beautiful hotel amazing service star front office staf is amazing the area is best love it here
What an unusually perfect hotel for Manhattan. It's clean, classy, calm, family friendly, and next to all the stuff you love about New York, from Italian joints on 9th Ave to Broadway theaters around the corner. I've stayed there multiple times now and it's better each time.
Front desk lady very rude, does not have people skills.
Very nice classic hotel and location.
Easy access to Broadway
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Belvedere Hotel in Times Square, and it exceeded all my expectations. The location is unbeatable, offering easy access to iconic attractions, theaters, and dining options. The staff was exceptionally courteous and attentive, ensuring a seamless check-in process and providing valuable recommendations for local experiences. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and impeccably clean, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the city. The amenities, including the fitness center and complimentary Wi-Fi, added to the overall convenience of my stay. I highly recommend the Belvedere Hotel for anyone seeking a memorable experience in the heart of New York City. It combines comfort, hospitality, and a prime location, making it an ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers.
no heat the first night, broken elevator not great
I liked everything. Very comfortable and clean. Very good location, everything close
Great clean hotel with a microwave and fridge! It was great!!!
Rooms were very clean. Has microwave but no cups or any utensils. No coffee or coffee pot. Most hotels have this as is basic for most of them, but not this hotel. Coffee is available downstairs on for a little while in the am. No food, only granola bars. No coffee or tea eat rest of day. Rooms need furniture updates. Elevators are slow or out of service.
Very nice clean deff a good place to stay
Nice clean rooms with ample space!. The main elevator was out of service and our TV didn't work (despite an engineer call). But the staff were most pleasant and the hotel is so well located to theater and restaurants. I would stay again
We loved our room and the bathroom, really comfy beds and nice shower / bathrooms. Only thing I would say is I missed tea and coffee making facilities in rooms. We could also smell quite a lot of weed smoke in the corridor, it doesn't bother me but it may do other customers. The reception staff were nice when we checked in but fairly dismissive after that, not particularly friendly when we checked out. We will definitely stay again as the rooms were way better than we expected, and such a great central location in Mid town.
Not being able to adjust heat stinks and very dry heat. No remote in room but they offered to bring one up asap
Would definitely stay here again!
I have been to NYC many times and have always stayed at a different hotel. This is one that I will book again - great location, nice size room - actually has a fridge and microwave - well-appointed
Very friendly
Just an overnight stay with 2 friends. Staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful. Elevators a little sketchy.
Excellent location, no frills hotel!
This Hotel is in an excellent location and the staff are great. It just needs some sprucing up! To list a few things, the window shades are all frayed, the cabinets at the fridge area do not close properly and the pillows on the bed were horrible. I would still stay here again, it just needs some attention to the details.
What a gem! Took granddaughter to NYC for her 10th bday and this was the perfect place to stay. It had been 25 Myers since I was in NY and remembered the tiny rms with barely room to walk between the beds. The rooms here were spacious, comfortable and came with fridge and microwave. Housekeeping staff wanted to please and the front desk had answers for all our questions. Definitely will stay here again1
I did not like the beds that were given to me i had a room with 2 beds and one had like a hole in the middle.
Deluxe room was about the same size the regular room, but more money. The bath tub was rusty and unclean. Staff said we needed to wait until the morning for anything to be done, but we were leaving in the morning. There was no compensation nor accommodation offered for our inconvenience.
Convenient location, easy check in/check out
Loved the lication, excellent value
Staff was very professional and helpful. The gym was great — lots of equipment to choose from which is rare for a small space in an older hotel. My room was spacious and comfortable. The only drawback was that the morning coffee setup was somewhat lacking. Coffee came from a machine and it was pretty bad. But there are plenty of coffee shops nearby so the problem was solved easily.
We had a great stay! All the staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay here again!
fridge microwave in room
Good budget hotel.
An old hotel centrally located on a quiet street. Near everything. Hotel could use a face lift but quite functional and staff made stay pleasant. No coffee in room and free lobby coffee is an instant machine. They need to up their game on that one. Nice steak house on ground floor that gives hotel discounts.
Close proximity to a lot of theaters and restuarants. Comfortable and clean.
Very quiet 2 blocks from Restaurant Row
Okay but woke up cold
The room was larger than we expected and hotel and room was nice enough. However, no thermostat and no blanket. We were freezing at night that we had to get up and drape our jackets over ourselves to stay warm. Not a good experience. Would not recommend paying for a hotel room where you have to dress up to sleep comfortably.
i would like thicker blankets. coffee in rooms..
First room the electricity DID NOT WORK! we could not charge our devices. Second room (for which we had to go back to the front desk to get new keys) tub did not drain (fixed a few days later), and when we wanted heat sometimes we got cold air. No sheer curtains in this room and the phone did not work.
I wish the rooms where a bit more updated or maybe had a more retro vibe.
Valentine’s Weekend Stay
Great location! Good size rooms
Nice and close to everything

Very nice old style hotel. Slow elevators but helpful staff & decent views
