Evening Bar staff is horrible. I mentioned it to the day staff how horrible the experience was. Lunch staff amazing great service. Some front reception was also great. Others made you feel like they were doing you a favour by being there. Pool area not taken cared off Lots to improve

We stayed at the Terra Nostra Garden in Furnas and we were very impressed. The Terceira Mar staff could learn a few things from their sister hotel. The staff was very rude, especially the front desk staff.

Perfect location to walk into Angra or hike Mount Brazil. Beautiful large swimming pool. Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet. Big breakfast buffet with many choices.

Lovely hotel with a nice pool and a beautiful view. Just a few minutes walk into town. Tours pick up at this hotel. Restaurant was buffet though smaller items were available in the bar.

Good location. Room has a gorgeous view. Hotel in general seems like it can use some TLC. Room was clean. Bathroom could be updated. Bar/Snack terrace service was ok. Served both the soup not hot, and same thing with the grilled cheese.

Wish the hot tub looked better and water was cleaner. Pool looked wonderful but it was a chilly week so didn’t go in.

Our hotel room was clean and spacious, but the patio furniture had bird poop all over it. When we told the front desk about it, they sent up dessert and wine which was very nice but we just wanted to sit outside. There is a terrible air freshener in the common areas that we thought was axe body spray from the gym at first but then noticed the misters all over the property. The property was in a great location. Walkable to downtown and with views of the water. But the decor was outdated and had charm similar to a nursing home.

The view and the pool were amazing. There is an onsite gym that has every modern and advanced option including pickle ball.

Very nice place, beautiful grounds and pool, located walking distance to many restaurants and shops. We stayed the the hotel before the season so the was a lot od cleanup going on (for the most of the week worker was pressure washing pool area, very noisy). Staff was really friendly and always very helpful. Our room was amazing, very spacious, bright and super clean. I was very happy with my choice of stay to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary (hotel surprised us with bottle of wine and cheese tray) and would highly recommend it

We stayed here for 3 nights after being on mainland Portugal for a week and it was a nice vacation from our vacation. Good stuff: comfortable beds, view from our room, food and drinks in the bar. Just ok stuff: breakfast buffet, dinner buffet. Not good: jacuzzi smelled and was luke warm.

We especially liked the view. Also, the parking was easy, and the location was close enough to town to walk. We wish that there had been the ability to make coffee or tea in the room. The only option was to purchase it in the dining room or lounge.

One of the best properties in the Archipelagos

The customer service was excellent, very helpful. The property is beautiful and easily accessible. We only wish we made our reservations for additional days. We tried to stay longer, but the hotel was booked. We will definitely recommend to others and hope to return.

Beautiful hotel, our room balcony had ocean outdoor pool view, as I believe all the rooms do. It was spacious. Staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast in the hotel was delicious. They also have an indoor pool and fitness center. Ample covered and uncovered complimentary parking in the hotel. Downtown was less than 10min drive away. What a wonderful location for a stay on Terceira Island, would definitely come back and stay here.

Amazing stay

This hotel is awesome! It appeared that all the rooms on the ocean side had a small balcony to enjoy the views & sea breeze. We basically had the pent house room/suite & it was phenomenal 😊 The infinity pool & pool bar are so enjoyable & the staff were all very kind & helpful. I hope we get to come back some day.

The front desk staff and cleaning staff were fantastic and quick, always friendly, helpful and our room was always spotless. The hotel was conveniently loacted near 2 swimming areas, an ice cream shop and a grocery store. A nice 10 minute walk into the centre of town was also convenient. The pool was beautiful and the views were amazing. We appreciated the robes, slippers and welcome fruit tray. As a vegetarian, we appreciated the options that were available to us..though not alot of options, what was available was very tasty and affordable, we can not say the same for the price of hotel cocktails which were very expensive. Other than that, we loved staying here and would highly recommend. 4.5 stars.

Terceira Mar Hotel is a short walk from the heart of Angra de Heroismo and yet the views from the rooms and front of house areas are quite simply stunning. The food was good, standard buffet fare, however, the bedrooms are very nice, all seaward facing offering good space and in my case an enormous bed which I loved. I found the staff friendly and attentive. This hotel truly earns its four stars.

We didn't receive our free bottle of wine. We had to ask for it and got it a day later. Other than that, completely fabulous in every way!

We loved the swimming pool, and the large twin beds room! We enjoyed the location and friendliness! Breakfast services are awesome. However, we think the hotel needs an updates!

Gorgeous property, amazing pool, friendly staff and yummy food.

Beautiful location for a very nice hotel with magnificent ocean views. The reception staff was absolutely outstanding. The hotel is located within walking distance of the town, but a taxi ride was only five Euros in August 2022 if one preferred to ride. We would generally walk to town during the day and then take a taxi for dinner at night. We would definitely stay here again.

Excelente hotel and location very peaceful with great views. The only drawback is the restaurant which had bad service and subpar food. The breakfast Buffett was good.

The location is excellent. Close to many different restaurants and sight seeing. The pool is beautiful and the view from the rooms. The bartenders are such experts in the making of fine crafted drinks.

Spectacular Setting!

Almost great but not quite

Generally this is a lovely hotel but a few things would have made it so much better. We were given a room on the 4th (top floor) which was incredibly disapointing. There are only 8 rooms on this floor and they are the only rooms without balconies in the whole hotel. We asked to move but were told the hotel was full. I would strongly recommend you specify you dont want one of these rooms. The room itself was fine, large with fridge and hairdryer. No coffee/tea facilities though. The pool is lovely but the pool bar was never open and there is no pool attendant to help with umbrellas or towels. I dont understand this given it was July and supposedly the hotel was full. Likewise the restaurant was shut for the whole 5 days though you could order some food in the bar. The bar was nice but short staffed. Location lovely, 10-15 mins walk into the old town. We would come again but not in a 4th floor room.

Great hotel

Amazingly beautiful location within easy walking distance to downtown Angra do Heroísmo, walking/running trails, ocean swimming. Stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and Monte Brasil (dormant volcano) from every room.

Terciera is a small island and you get a small island feel from the hotel. The property itself is in good condition and the food was good. Service was a bit slow, but that was expected given that most of the bar staff are brand new. I would return again to this hotel.

Not that good

It can be seen that the hotel has a good hardware and had a good service before. But maybe because of the off-season, it seems that the service can’t be guaranteed. The WiFi in our room was bad, which was not a big problem for us, because we can use our phone data. The reception was good, but the restaurant was not that good. First , there’s a confusion about the dinner buffet price. First time we were asked to pay for €19 per person , included drinks. Second time , we didn’t ask about the price because we think it should be the same. But this time we were told that €19 doesn’t include drinks, if we need drinks we have to pay 25€per person, although we just asked two cups of juice and one water. Second, the food is not various. There were a lot of vacant space on the food bench , which should obviously be more kinds of food. We left our bath towel and kid’s vest. The cleaning lady would find it easily after we left room but still in the hotel for breakfast. But we didn’t get any remind. We didn’t found it until we were back to Lisbon. The staff of the indoor swimming pool is indifferent 😐

Wonderful hotel with amazing views

We had a wonderful time at Terceira Mar. The hotel facilities are fantastic, including a top of the range fitness suite with indoor pool and saunas. The outdoor pool is one of the largest I have seen with amazing views of the ocean and Monte Brasil peninsula. The breakfast was excellent also.

Hotel looks jaded lovely setting but some renewal in communal areas would not go a miss.

The view and staff, great facilities and perfect for kids

The view from the hotel is excellent. Most of the rooms has a view of the outdoor swimming pool and ocean. Plenty of parkings. Price included breakfast and the quality is good. Waiters clean up the table and get it ready for next guest. They have musician playing piano in the bar at night. The lounge has a great view of the ocean and an outdoor patio. The gardener did a great job maintain the grass. The buffet dinner offer a variety of choices. While we were there in February, they are renovating some of the rooms on the 4th floor, you might hear small noise during the day. The staff at the front desk is friendly and have patience to give us information on where to go. No long line to check in, checking out is a breeze.

Terceira MarHotel was exceptional. The staff were phenomenal. I had a special to have two documents printed from my email and the gentleman at the hotel front desk was so helpful in printed those for me. We will be back to Angra and this is now my hotel.

Excellent Hotel

All in hotel is amazing

Excellent bed, amenities, bar service and restaurant. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was very good. The only drawback was the young man who set up our guided tour simply wrote down our names and told us to be in the lobby at 9:30. More explanations should be given. Also let people know that Roberto’s does not take credit cards. Otherwise, fabulous!

The property was very outdated. Old carpets, etc. looks like 1970s. I was traveling with two older people that were not able to bathe because the tubs had very high sides that they couldn’t get in. I had a hard time communicating with the staff, resulting in confusion with a trip booked with them (whale watching, sent two elderly people in a cab that didn’t speak English and didn’t specify which company, total chaos) and the onsite rental car. We couldn’t find the indoor pool, the property is very large with dark hallways that have lights that flicker + made me think it would be a great location for filming a horror movie. If we had been on the island any longer than 2 nights I would have changed hotels.

Awesome view from the room. Great breakfast. Free parking in front of the hotel. Walking distance to the city center. The hotel also have groups as guests. Indoor swimming pool is accessible with a swin cap (that you can buy at the reception).

We loved how the property was within walking distance to a lot of shopping and dining, however we were pretty disappointed that being so close to the ocean it was inaccessible for swimming. I love the fact that breakfast was included with our stay however the selections were extremely limited and unfortunately never changing. Unfortunately the coffee had too much of an "instant" taste and was not enjoyable. We enjoyed the fact that you had a pool table but were shocked to find out we had to pay to use it. The bed was comfortable and I felt I was able to get a good night's sleep until about 4:00 a.m. when the local rooster decided to sing. I feel the hotel could use a lot of updates, and staff could be a bit more sociable and welcoming. Not a terrible stay, but could have been more pleasant.

Best on island, friendly and here to serve. Only bad thing is some Europeon guest smoke cigarettes on the outside balconies, the raunchy Turkish tobacco wafts into our room.

Great property, the only problem was the built in alarm clock- the roosters, too noisy.
