A hotel that reflects Argentinian vibes and has a real feel of style. The rooftop bar is a great place to chill after a days activity around this fascinating city. Breakfast buffet was standard with average choices but overall I really enjoyed my stay at Tango De Mayo.
Helpful staff, clean hotel.
Our stay was very good. The hotel was very clean if in need of a little maintenance. One thing I did notice; our room was on the second floor and our traveling companion was on the 4th floor. Our room smelled just a little musty but the 4th floor was extremely musty. I know there is a lot of humidity in Buenos Aires but maybe dehumidifiers would help. The front desk staff was so kind and helpful. They called and arranged for several excursions for us, including an excellent Tango show. We would very much recommend this hotel.
no opinion!
Great location and helpful, accommodating staff.
Beautiful hotel with great decor.
It is a beautiful old historic building. It used to be the Singer building. Our room was very unusual. It was a triangle with beautiful floor to ceiling windows. The location made it very easy to get around. There are many restaurants in the area so lots of choices. The roof top Bar was a lovely surprise. The view from there is amazing with beautiful domes everywhere
Buenos Aires
Tango de Mayo is it older well maintained hotel in the old district of Buenos Aires. Staff tried to help us find any things we could do. Breakfast is included in the room price which was amazing.
Windows glass was not very transparent, possibly due to recent heavy rains… not so crucial…
Nice staff central location
Great location
Friendly staff, comfortable room. A little small and dated but it had everything you needed and it was all clean. A great experience. Rooftop bar and food excellent.
Amazing
Great place!
Our stay at this funky 1920’s theme and historical hotel was excellent. The room was well appointed. The staff at the front desk spoke good English also, which made our stay easier. They stored our bags also for a few days which made our side trip more comfortable. The roof top bar was very nice and looked out at many roof top domes around the building. It also served tapas. The location was good- walking distance to many attractions. The area was fine, though I wouldn’t go walking at night. Breakfast was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely recommend it to others. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay!
Great place to stay.
The Tango theme was fun to enjoy. Very attentive staff with good English skills.
Good central location
Wonderful hospitality and the staff was very helpful our entire stay. Highly recommended
Nice hotel
Very convenient to local attractions and hop on hop off bus. Nice breakfast super cute hotel
Really friendly staff who found a way to accomodate our eary arrival
Comfortable hotel Location ok
Great staff.
With the exception of Jessica, the front desk personnel are kind of cold toward guests. Thee rest of the staff are very warm and welcoming. Thank to Jorge, Camila, and especially Marisol, for making our stay a great one. The room is big and comfortable, with modern facilities, yet keeping the charm of an old building. There's a lot construction and remodeling in nearby structures (front Building, sidewalks, etc.), but the location of the hotel makes up for those inconveniences. There aren't too much dining options nearby, but you will be about 5 minutes in taxi to Puerto Madero! Try the rooftop bistro at the hotel. Great for a light snack at sunset (Ask for opening days). Overall, Tango de Mayo Hotel was a great pick. Great place to move around the city, in a very safe area. Recommended!!
Fabouloys beautifully decorated hotel . Very tango style . Loved it
Great hotel in great location
Great hotel in great location. Service was great, hotel room is big and nice
This is a lovely characterful hotel in a really useful location. There’s a great roof top bar called the Dome which is a big plus although unfortunately it closes the days we were staying on this occasion (Sunday and Monday). Easy walk to San Telmo Market (3O mins) and lots of other attractions. Staff are really helpful and rooms very comfortable. This was our third stay here and we hope to be back again.
Convenient location, walkable distance to many attractions. Friendly staff, good breakfast with a good number of varieties.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Lobby bright and inviting. Included breakfast was good. Room very nice, but a bit noisy. I would definitely come back and ask for a quieter room. Centrally located and walking distance from sites you should see on first visit.
This was a very good central location for my wife and I on our first trip to Buenos Aires. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Each of the staff members were very friendly and helpful The breakfast was good with lots of options. I would definitely stay here again.
This is a very nice hotel however it needs maintenance bathroom does not have fan paint coming off ceiling safe broken staff had it repaired next day one lamp kaput near bedside left there .. staff was nice and helpful as they could breakfast could use more fruit !
Great location!
Amazing location. Friendly staff. Cute hotel. Good breakfast. Couple of towel stains I wasn't happy about, but I would stay again.
It was good in general. Staff was helpful. The lobby pretty. There wasn’t choice for vegan diet.
Great location. Rooftop bar and reataurant were very nice. Front desk staff were very helpful.
This was a nice property to relax after a long flight.Clean , spacious ,helpful staff and good value.
Very stylish. Great staff.
Good value.
Nice hotel, although a little old-fashioned. Would have liked a coffee maker in the room. Rooftop bar was very nice. Food at the restaurant was reasonably priced.
We had a great time!
The staff were very friendly. The location is great and very walkable to all the main attractions.
This hotel was charming! Super comfortable beds and pillows, amazing shower with fantastic water pressure, quick service when I asked for an extra towel, front desk was helpful in telling us where to eat close by, centrally located to everything or you can easily snag an Uber right by the front door. I was sad to leave and wish we could have stayed another couple of days in Buenos Aires!
Enjoyed the roof top lounge and had dinner there one evening and was tasty. The hotel is close walking to hop on hop off buses. Would recommend for 2 night stay.
Tango beautiful
This is a boutique hotel. The decor is all about tge tango. It is in a historic building in an off the beaten path area. Easy acces to uber or taxi or bus. The Staff is friendly and speaks good English. The breakfast is excellent. The only downside is the air-conditioning is spoty. It has a hard time maintaining a constant temperature. The bed is very comfortable bathroom was large and had everything you could want.
Lodging central to explore
The hotel was conveniently located near many sites. Easy walking distances to visit restaurants and shopping. Staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely a lodging to return.
Very convenient and great roof top bar
Staff was very accomodating Price of stay was excellent for for quality of hotel. Good breakfast.
I didn’t encounter any problems, so I can’t complain.
Convenient location, great breakfast, roof top meeting area and bar, helpful staff. It’s in a older area of Buenas Aires, lots of interesting bars and restaurants, and parks. Excellent city walking, and transportation. Very comfortable room, a bidet in the bathroom and cascading water in the shower. We were very pleased!
Liked the breakfast buffet and the rooftop bar and view. The staff was very helpful
酒店位置较好,出行方便。
Cute boutique hotel.
This is a place with its great location and easy for public transportation. Its breakfasts is good enough for us. I will recommend this place to my friends for its location.
When visiting Buenos Aires one would be well served by staying at the hotel and trying the dance that share a name: “Tango”!
Great service and the location is perfect. Near major attractions like el obelisco.
better hotels near if you spend more time in Palermo area
Rooms were unique. Could use some shelving in bathroom.
The building was built in 1913. Beautiful architectur of the building and the neighbourhood. Good location for a lot of the points of interest of Buenos Aires. Medium priced shopping close by. Lots of medium priced restaurants and cafes close by. If you are looking for great gourmet offerings you need to go else where. Good value considering everything. Great friendly staff.
Beautiful, old style, hotel.
Beautiful hotel. Very good breakfast. Friendly reception. TV decided to turn on at 6am, by itself, on the third night, and woke me up from a sound sleep.
Location is very centric on the main Avenida de Mayo which was once elegant with beautiful architecture. However many buildings are in need of repair (many ongoing). There is a lot of traffic. We walked down Avenida de Mayo to casa Rosada and took a lot of pictures. Do not venture to the side streets around the hotel. The hotel is beautifully renovated in Art Deco, rooms are spacious and clean. Nice breakfast, simple but good. Lovely roof top bar.
My husband and I enjoyed this hotel for our 2 nights in Buenos Aires. They stored our luggage for us when we arrived at 8am. The included breakfast features hot eggs, sausages, fruit, pastries, bread, cereal and more. Everyone at this hotel was very accommodating. A subway station is located just steps from the hotel. We enjoyed the rooftop lounge both times and were the only people up there. We took a bottle of wine and 2 glasses and enjoyed the view. Would recommend to anyone.
Very attractive and convenient hotel!
Nice hotel; good location, walkable to many points of interest…
Staff were all friendly. Property was clean. Property was in a good location for sightseeing.
Very nice! Great location as it’s central to everything and within walking distance to everything. Staff was very nice. We were able to get a late checkout at 5pm that was only $50 extra as our flight was at 9pm. Only bad thing was the shower drained very slowly and the room didn’t get as cold as we would like. But overall 8/10
Fabulous Hotel in Buenos Aires
Absolutely loved this hotel!! The decor was awesome, tango-inspired. Our room was so beautifully decorated and so comfortable, also spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the breakfast room. There was also a gorgeous rooftop bar with amazing views of the most beautiful buildings in Buenos Aires, such as the Palacio Barolo. The hotel was also conveniently located, walking distance to many sites and not too far by public transport, such as uber, to many other places of interest. I would highly recommend this hotel👍👍
Great unique hotel!
Great older hotel in good location. Very comfortable and wonderful staff. Highly recommend.
Very nice, tired elegance, lovely roof bar, city view was of an ugly building.
The rooftop bar was fabulous. Great view of city, etc
No problem here. Everything great. Breakfast buffet awesome.
The staff was very professional and so nice. Any request I made was accommodated. Also loved the dome bar on the roof. Again, everyone was so nice.
The reception person went out of their to help us get an early check-in and make us comfortable. Kudos for the staff.
All good. Great location, great staff and nice room
We were looking for a cultural hotel. Unfortunately, this building is 100 years old, but needs to have hotel renovations. It is in a bad area...traffic vibrates glass windows, homeless people scream throughout the night...the outside streets reek of urine...it could be smelled on the roof top bar while we were eating appetizers. I did not feel safe walking the streets. Disappointed.
very convenient location
We stayed only one night because we had other reservation and I regret not staying more days. Really nice hotel and staff was super friendly (And that is a big thing to say considering that People in Argentina are not as charming as other LatinAmerican countries).
staff is quite helpful
I'm a solo female traveler. I chose this property to be able to stay on property after sunset and enjoy their rooftop. But the night I stayed, the rooftop was closed for a private event. So if you're choosing this property for their rooftop, it may not even be open to you. The neighborhood didn't feel safe to walk alone in. Everything had bars on windows and doors and I was instructed not to have my phone out in the open. If you're looking for a nicer neighborhood, stay in Recoletta instead. The hotel itself is very charming and unique. They stored my luggage while I waited for an evening flight after checkout.
Everything went by as we expected.
Everything went by as we expected.
Everything are perfect! We will back and recommend to our friends!
Property almost doesn’t fit in area. Some of building s in area appear, dirty, old and one of building s across way appears abandoned. Heard barking dogs and traffic during night. Hotel itself is clean and mostly in repair.
I liked that the front desk staff all spoke english so were able to help with our questions. We had a very early start so was very grateful the hotel had prepared a breakfast to-go ready for us to take
Excellent location for walking, shopping and dining. Staff are amazing. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Very friendly and accommodating. Definitely would stay here again.
A front desk should ne more cardial.
Only good thing about this place is that it’s walkable to a lot of sites you’d go to while in BA. Most of the staff is rude, and the rooftop was booked for outside parties so you couldn’t enjoy as a hotel guest. Plenty of other hotel options in the area that you should stay at.
The AC and Wi-Fi were substandard.
Location is excellent The interior environment is also very nice and elegant.
Great staff, very helpful!!
Tango to this hotel in buenos Aries
Great location Easy to get around to theatre district restaurants parks. Fun hotel … friendly staff. Dining room … good breakfast and the friendliest staff. Also rooftop bar for relaxing and great service.
EVERYBODY WAS SO NICE AND HELPFUL, ALWAYS WITH A SMILE SPECIALLY THE GIRLS IN THE FRONT DESK AND THE GUY IN THE RESTAURANT FERNANDO
This hotel is in a busy neighborhood with road noise in the rooms. It’s a bit dated with stained carpet and curtains. The bed linens were clean. We found it easy to walk to places. We were there over a weekend and the restaurant options seemed limited and very similar.
Maintenance of broken devices are a bit lacking, room seems having some stale smell all the time. Other than that, it’s great
This is an atmospheric heritage era hotel , overpriced for the standards' offered . Reception staff were cold Restaurant staff were warm and friendly
Everything was a very high standard, although a lot of traffic noise.
beautiful deco, friendly staff, tasty breakfast. Strongly recommend.
Incredible concierge staff. Great morning breakfast. Fun rooftop bar.
Fantastic Hotel, would absolutely book again.
The staff was incredible. Attentive, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is outstanding, rooftop bar as well. Csmt say enough goodnthings about our entire experience!
We were upgraded to a beautiful corner room, which was large and had an especially nice bathroom. Comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They have a lovely rooftop bar where you can share a bottle of wine at sunset. The included breakfast is excellent, with a tasty array of hot and cold items.
Nice Paris feel to the lobby and dining room
It was a beautiful historic building in a great area of Buenos Aires. Lot of restaurants and it was a very walkable area. The staff was wonderful. The roof top deck was a nice surprise:)
