Beautiful place

BEST TRIP EVER

Overall great!

Beautiful property with amazing views. Dining is a lil high for the quality of food. Still worth every moment and every bite. Was scouting for a wedding venue and it is still on the list albeit not at the top.

Beautiful property and well managed space, efficient staff.Mostly cruise travelers but worked well for independent travelers like us.Helpful staff, willing to give us a room before official check in time at 4. Lovely patio views of Denali and beautiful dining/bar options.

No ventilation in bathroom. Roof fan dead? Staff seems melancholy, like management isnt nice to them. Architecture is uninspired Priced far too high for the quality of experience

Nice restaurant and services.

Beautiful location. My room had Mountain View, excellent! At reception the attender had, I know what I am doing attitude. The server at the restaurant were helpful and friendly.

We paid over $500 for a room that had a broken thermostat though I have no idea what it was used for as there were no a/c or heat units. No vents in the room, very very stuffy air. They did have 2 portable dusty old fans to use. In the bathroom they provided a bar of soap about the size of a quarter. This room wasn’t rustic just old and tired.

Excellent property

The Lodge is beautiful! We were only in Talkeetna for a day, so we didn’t get to really take advantage of the whole area, but we’d definitely stay here again. The Foraker Restaurant was a delight.

Simply a great place with the most spectacular view of the AK mountain range and Mt. McKinley!!

The lodge location is good but everything else is just like any other 3 star hotel... the price is overrated due to the location in Talkeetna. The staff is great

The entire staff was GREAT, best stay so far on this trip.

I couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. The location. The staff the dining. All just fantastic. I will be returning. One piece of advice. Pay the extra for a Denali view. It’s worth it if the weather cooperates.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful views of the mountains and several areas for hiking in nature.

My daughter and I stayed at the Talkeetna Lodge for 2 nights in March. The whole stay was amazing. The lodge is beautiful! Every staff member we came in contact with was super nice and helpful, always asking us if we needed anything. From the big fireplace in the main lobby, the gift store, nice big rooms, comfortable beds, fire pits on the back deck and even a wake up for the Northern Lights if you choose!! It snowed while we were there.. the hotel had inner tubes we checked out and slid down the big hill behind the lodge! So much fun!! We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again!!

The view was excellent and the lodge was very well kept. The nicest in the area.

loved our stay. the town is fun and great hiking and other adventures available.

We had a wonderful stay. Rooms are comfortable, and the views are just stunning. We even got to see a moose right from our bedroom window.

Great views of Denali

Beautifully maintained property, food at the restaurant was excellent. All the staff were friendly and professional. I would definitely stay here again.

Don't waste your money

The main lodge is the only nice thing. Rooms are motel 6 at best and the place is over crowded with your buses full of unfriendly people who clog up the dining rooms.

Best place to stay in Talkeetna!

Our stay was amazing!! From the whole setting driving up the road to the lodge to the views to the rooms - everything was beyond our expectations! Upon checking we were surprised to find out that our friends and I had been upgraded to suites so that we could have adjoining rooms. What an awesome surprise!! The rooms were great - fireplace in the rooms, large jacuzzi tub, fantastic king size bed and an unbeatable view of Denali! To top it off we woke up to a clear view of Denali!

gorgeous views, nice property, rooms are big. only negative was the restaurant's breakfast was expensive and not very good, but we ended up at the coffee bistro by the entrance which was good. overall, good stay and location.

The views outside the lodge are beautiful. The inside lobby is grand and what you expect for a large lodge. The room was clean and comfortable. What we did not like was the restaurant (only one open due to covid effects) which we totally understand, we also understand everyone is under staffed this year. But, the breakfast was only Buffett style- very few people want to spend $26 a head for breakfast, there was no alacart offerings. The lodge had a station set up in the lobby with coffee and a few breakfast sandwiches and fruit. The line was huge. We would have loved to hop into the town BUT the shuttle hours are 10AM- 5:45PM! we had no car so this was extremely inconvenient. Most folks are up early for tours and exploring 10 is way to late in the morning. And, if you eat dinner in town and you have no car you have to walk back the 1.7 mile. Luckily we are avid walkers :). You can easily spend one night in Talkeenta to see the town. We did the fly over Denali and River float in the same day.

A beautiful, comfortable place to stay. Over priced, no amenities. No air conditioning

This lodge has one of the best views of Denali south side from Talkeetna. The Mountain View rooms are spacious and great for sunrises and sunsets. The lawns are well maintained and inviting. Wildflowers adorn the backyard and trail leading to the river. Food was good at the restaurant but there is staff and food shortage all over Alaska due to covid. It seemed to be an welcoming place for diverse groups of people. Highly recommended.

Only nice place to stay in Talkeetna

Nice resort. Nice drive up appeal. Very clean and updated. 1/2 way point to most locations. Nice blacktop trail for walking. No AC and hard to circulate air from open window. Blackout curtains needed to be longer to help block sun. I would have preferred a softer pillow.

Great view

Beautiful views of the mountains and surrounding area. Grounds were pristine. Got a rare view of Denali, which was a big bonus! Guest room had plenty of room and beds were very comfortable. Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay!!
