This property is not anymore my favorite in Mumbai after the experience this time. The furniture is tired with stains, customer service is not consistent - the worst are the front office people. I am not going to stay here anymore.

They messed up the room allocation at check in and took ages to sort this out - it was 5am and became annoying. Service was otherwise good. Great location for T1 direct walk way or buggy to T1. Food is extortionately priced. Otherwise a clean comfortable and relaxing hotel. Great view's of the runway

Great experience. But charged extra

It was great as they gave us early check in. I m here for my kids. They wanted to stay in this property so booked it for a night. The koi fish feeding etc was good. While i was told on hotel.com thta the room will cost me only 11000 i was charged 15000 at the hotel ...saying it was about taxes. This is the part i didnt like. There should be complete transparency

Amazing property, right at the airport, all rooms are like suites… probably the largest hotel rooms in Mumbai.. amazing view of the runway…. Great food and wonderful service.

Wonderful hotel!

We stayed here for a night with children. There were electricity problems from 12.30 am for about 4 times. No electricity for more than an hour. All contact numbers to staff immediately went busy. The rooms were not ventilated and we felt suffocated. Next morning, no apology from staff, no check back if we enjoyed our stay. Overall poor value for money. Cafe service extremely slow. Order did not arrive for 35 minutes - when it did, they erroneously made two club sandwiches instead of one. Wish they told us it comes we get fries on the side, as we ordered separate fries! Pricing quite exhorbitant - INR4400 for one club sandwich, one fries, one hot chocolate and two coffees. Macchiato was served in large cup filled only little more than quarter way up. Was changed when we pointed out. Way to swimming pool was through a banquet area privately booked by someone else. Felt weird. The property is not of the standard as other Taj properties. On positive side, the light entertainment by way of singers at dinner and Santoor player at breakfast were good. The spread over dinner and breakfast was good. Swimming pool was maintained at good temperature. No mosquitoes.

The room was disappointing: booked a twin runway view but half the view was obscured due to the building design itself. The furniture was stained and it seems only the visible areas cleaned, e.g., I dropped a pen which rolled under the bed, when I reached to retrieve there was dust, hair etc. Bath plug got jammed, had to call maintenance to open it. The rooms aren't well soundproofed, easy to hear neighbouring rooms and corridor noise. Food was okay, breakfast the usual buffet spread plus some made to order items. Staff were hit and miss, pleasant and consistent at Tikri, elsewhere not so much: ignored by the concierge; when my sibling checked in a day after me rather than checking their ID asked to see mine again, when I asked why, as mine should already be on the system he started shouting at me. The hotel is very busy with high turnover of guests, there seemed to be some people sneaking in: over my 2 night stay I noticed women hanging around by the lifts waiting for others to get in and swipe their key cards. Due to our terrible stay at taj palace, the GM treated us to dinner, nice gesture but unfortunately ruined by chief nitin: he claimed that taj helped guests during the 2008 attacks due to their branding, "guest is God". I couldn't believe he used that incident in an attempt to protect the taj brand. Hugely disrespectful to all that lost and sacrificed and highlights how unscrupulous taj brand is.

The Taj Hotel is excellent, I gifted this stay to my parents on their Wedding Anniversary, they loved it, Taj offers Birthday Cake service so I opted for it. but there was no way to tell them it is not a birthday, when my parents arrived the entire room was filled with balloons and Happy Birthday messages, I wish they could reach out and ask for more details. or if there was a way to tell them that the cake is for anniversary or other function and not for birthday so that they can decorate the room appropriately. apart from that the rest of the stay was excellent, my parents were happy with their experience.

Good overall experience. Staff were friendly and helpful, especally in the start. Towards the end, some of the concierge/front desk staff were providing wrong information and did not seem very keen. But overall, a great hotel.

Everything was great. Our only complaint was that the airport transfer vehicle did not have enough space for our group and luggage. There was no option to get a second or larger vehicle.

My 2nd time staying here. I love the rooms. I stayed in a 524sq foot “city view” room. I love the layout as there is sooo much space. There’s enough space to do yoga and there is a hallway that separates the bathroom from bedroom and even the closet and vanity. I really like the rooms a lot. My only issue this trip was the place was incredibly busy. There’s a wait for check-in and is very hectic & feels like people are on the wall street floor! Thus sometimes the front desk takes hours to return your call! I had to call many times over course of 3 hours just to extend my stay. Morning of checkout I couldn’t get thru to the bell hop that morning and had to lug my own heavy 40kg worth of suitcases downstairs to find there was only 1 guy working and checkout was also a madhouse. While they have a lot of staff they need to hire double. I also was turned off by the expensive food menus which seemed even more expensive than US hotel dining. It only encouraged me to leave the hotel and eat or I ordered from Swiggy. But they need to really lower the prices of their dining bc I’m a high net worth individual and did not think it was okay.

Amazing service, well trained staff sweet and welcoming!

It’s daunting to start writing this review because I only have two good things to say about the stay among a myriad of complains. The room was spacious and clean and the food at breakfast was good. Almost all the plates at the breakfast buffet had a stain or food fibre stuck to it. They don’t have options for single origin coffees. The Lavaza machine coffee was expired and tasteless. Even the decoction they use for south India filter coffee is a pre mix and tastes more of preservatives and less of coffee. Can’t believe one can’t have a freshly brewed cup of coffee here. Speaking about cleanliness, the wine glasses we asked for in the room were dirty as well. The security at the entrance flipped over the birthday cake I had with me in their luggage machine. Later, an in room dining personal brought us a cake and along with it the bill for it. Not that I had asked for a cake to begin with, but if you’re trying to make up for your staff’s mistake why would you want to charge me for it. Overall an extremely underwhelming experience.

Another pleasant 5-night stay at the Taj, this time with my 2-year old toddler. Both of us had a great time with wonderful and caring staff and good facilities. My only gripe would be that children's activities were not communicated to us so ended up missing a play time on Saturday at Tiqri and another group activity on one of the weekdays. Also Expedia clearly mentions that hotel has nanny/ babysitting services which is not the case I was told at check-in. Overall an enjoyable stay and will definitely stay again. Special mention of Tiqri staff Jagruti, Siddhi, Rahul and many others. Also shout out to the club lounge staff as well. Sonia and another lady at the reception were very warm and friendly towards my toddler and made her feel comfortable.

Great option if you need to stay close to the airport. If you can, book a room with the runway view, it is nice to watch the planes taking off… food at the Chinese restaurant was excellent, and the breakfast buffet too. 5 stars for sure!

Lovely place to stay. Away from the busy cacophony of mumbai. Only gripe - no transportation from the hotel to T2. They should make that happen. It would be a complete hotel then.

Wonderfully located next to airport terminal. Spacious rooms. However, we got a room with a window looking out to an internal wall. So, no daylight. This was NOT clear when booking. Also, the small corridor outside was used to stack up used room service trays. So, make sure you avoid these rooms. Also, hotel bombards you with messages and asks for information which they don’t check and which you need to provide again when checking in. Staff polite and not professional. Stayed this time for the convenience factor but will not stay here again.

Very good hotel and second stay

Construction all around the area makes it a bit difficult and confusing to get around.

Rigid hotel. They offer lower rates on OTA than on its own website and still expect us to book from their own website. Have experienced a very busy tone from them and makes it feel as if it is purchase that we made by putting up a request.

They have become quite rigid. I am a platinum with them - they offer lower rates to public on OTA than they offer it to me directly on their own website. They have become too busy to respond, never senior would intervene inspite of highlighted issues.

Probably the biggest room I've stayed in a long time! The rooms are thoughtfully designed and great for longer stays with a full desk that is perfect if you want to work for a few hours.

Everything was great from checkin to breakfast. Hospitality at its best, amazing staff. Small gestures make a big difference.

Wonderful stay at a wonderful hotel!

2 nights here on our trip back to US. Stayed in luxury suite with king bed as my chosen option for dual twin wasn’t available. Room was spacious and the complementary bed helped the 4 of us be comfortable. Checkin process was slow and mediocre. No welcome beverages, no overview of property services and options was provided.Service is slow and poor. Had to remind 3 times before a bed was placed at 10:50 pm. On the positive side property is clean and well kept. Hotel has good options for transportation as well . You can rent a cool cab( which would have been good to know at checkin). Buffet spread is good but taste is not that great compared to Trident or other 5 stars in the area. For the price paid overall we were disappointed.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed in in my life! I’ve been traveling non-stop for 15 years and can’t believe a hotel like this exists under such a fancy brand. Please don’t believe the hype - the other Taj’s I believe are nice and nothing like this one- but this one needs absolutely everything changed about it. Firstly it is an airport hotel. Why would you have live music until 11 PM that can be heard from basically more than half of the rooms until 11 PM every single night when people are probably transiting through and are extremely tired. There’s absolutely no peaceful place in the entire hotel. Also there must be some kind of ventilation issue. The entire hotel smells like every perfume in the world was sprayed inside of it. You can actually smell it already outside on the street when you pull up out front the hotel. I actually threw up. It ruined my mood for two days since I couldn’t leave because my suitcase wheel was broken. The only good thing about this hotel was two employees that really helped me, Niyaz, how right away organized my suitcase wheel repair, and Diki, who gave me the best massage I’ve had in a very long time. This hotel it was an absolute nightmare I couldn’t breathe outside of my room and I couldn’t sleep inside of my room because of the music. When I left and I told the taxi driver what happened, and other people as well, they all said “yes I know this hotel is very bad and everyone says that. It’s just a good name.” Save your self the trouble.

The staff are exceptional. Our most memorable experience was with Anuj with reception. He was so helpful. He even helped us get some yogurt when my toddler was having stomach issues. He was attentive to all our needs. We enjoyed our stay very much.

I booked a non-smoking room we were only going to be at the property for 4 hours to rest before our early morning flight. We were charged $232 for 4 hours and still got a smoking room. We couldn’t get any rest because the smoke smell didn’t let us sleep. I complained to front desk and they said they could only spray more air freshener.
