Very nice place.
The facilities were large and well managed, so it was comfortable.
Service, facility, food and environment are excellent. Price is ressonanble. I’m
None
Great
All good except for two 1. Swiming pool hours start at 11am: 11am is time to check out. Most other hotels start at 6 or 7am. 2. Breakfast: items were rather limited both for Korean and Western. For the quality of the hotel, the guests would expect matching breakfast quality.
Accommodating and welcoming
Clean, quite, and pleasant staff.
Quiet
The pool, sauna and hotel restaurants were closed. Chose it for the pool
Very accommodating staff.
Best place to stay so far
Beautiful lobby
I enjoyed the large room size and it stayed quiet. But for transportation, I had to ride the bus or taxi to the closest subway station.
Great place
Our room met the needs of hosting 6 people. There was adequate space for each and the ability to have individual privacy when needed. Hotel staff was attentive to our needs and requests, and were always friendly and courteous. The suite we had definitely needs a remodel and we had a leaking ceiling in one room. The staff addressed the leak and helped us to utilize another room in another suite as they could not repair the leak at that time.
I booked via the hotel, ended up with an old-fashioned outdated serviced apartment away from the main hotel - this is misrepresentation of the hotel. Expedia needs to fixed this with the hotel. No toiletries, no clean-up room available. Apartment is from the 70’s, old, ugly and dusty. Furnitures were old and dirty. Aircon was not working, not cold. P No room service, lobby concierge was horrible, poor customer service. No restaurants nothing. I regret booking and staying at this hotel; the worst hotel accommodation in my overseas holidays experience.
After I reserved and paid for a executive hotel room in this hotel, they tried to put me in the residence building claiming that hotel rooms are full. I need to carry my luggage downhill and uphill between the hotel and the resident building. Worst off is that the resident building does not have internet access. After I refused to check in the resident building, the hotel suddenly had a room for me. It’s one of my worst check in experience.
Make sure you read the fine print.. Expensive place and many surprises when I arrived..
Located on a hill in a nice and more quit part of the city. Was previously a Hilton hotel.
It's high-end hotel. Little remote from downtown, but not too far at all. Very spacious and nice hotel. Rooms big and clean. Free parking indoor outdoor. Relaxing. Swimming pool was closed due to covid. But many other hotels still open pools, so I believe it's time for them to reopen that facility for clients as well. Hotel was huge but was so quiet. Houseing keeping service was great! Happy to stay there. Thank you!
Very satisfying for a weekend getaway
Great spot for a weekend getaway. Clean room, facilities, and the indoor pool is warm and easy to use. Another big plus is there’s a big CU convenience store in the hotel.
Unique stay but disappointing executive lounge
Hotel had a unique interior. I stayed at the executive lounge room was great. My only complain is the executive lounge service and the quality of the food there.
The residences were very spacious and was superb for my family. The staff were very helpful and great.
Nice, but upgrades needed on hotel
Nice time. Did not upgrade us during COVID or on Valentine's Day. Bathroom needs renovation -- bad tub in bad condition.
Was great, this time much better because there is now 24h open convinient store in the hotel
Relaxing get away
Stayed 3 nights at the Grand Hilton. Getting there from the airport was convenient on the airport limousine #6005. The staff was very friendly & the property is very nice & quiet. The fitness center is very clean. The hotel is away from the busy downtown Seoul so the shuttle service the hotel provides to subway stations & to some popular destinations were very helpful. The schedule for the shuttle service is very prompt & on time leaving the hotel. I will definitely come back to the Grand Hilton again in the future.
Great pool and fitness center. Nice buffet breakfast
Not a great choice
I had high hopes for this Hilton property, but left feeling pretty disappointed. My one big gripe was their absolute embarrassment of a breakfast buffet. For the price paid, this should have been FAR better. It was so bad that I didn't even go back the next morning. The Hilton should be ashamed of the incredibly poor offerings. From sour coffee to McDonald's style hash browns (cut in half!), it was pretty pathetic. Also, the hotel itself is quite dated. I would not stay here again, especially considering it's a bit out of the way of Hongdae.
N. American in Seoul for a night.
Property is older but rooms are nicely appointed and in good shape. Service is excellent. The restaurant is clean and has pretty good breakfast. The nearby residential area offers up good Korean BBQ and a good pizza shop. Seems to be popular with tour groups and the occasional flight crew.
I don't think it was a five-star facility. Quite disappointing.
A good place to enjoy a Christmas eve. Good decorations, good breakfast...
Hotel room was such a disappointment. There were no tissue papers, basically hotel didn’t provide a basic necessities. You could literally hear snoring from the next bedroom. Awful experience!!
Good service hotel
5 star hotel but need sone renovation.
Very helpful staff & great shuttle to downtown & the university
A convenient stay. Comfortable room and clean facilities.
Very nice hotel with comfortable beds which is hard to find in Korea.
Expensive, but terrible room service food
Ordered galbitang from adult menu Pizza & fried chicken w/ fries. Cost me 72,000 won & yet, the meat in the gal bi tang was hard as chewing a tire from your car. Did not eat a single meat, and as for the pizza & fried chicken w/ fries, I threw out 70% of the food. How do you mess up on french fries?? All was overcooked & burnt. I also had to change rooms twice. First due to the crappy view of the room they put me in, and second time, the sliding door for the bathroom was stuck. Even the 3rd room I stayed at, the USB port wouldn’t work, so I had to notify the staff upon my check out. Only thing that was nice was the staff, but it’s just normal for any hotels in Korea. Will never return & will not recommend anyone to ever stay here.
internet was not free and very troublesome although they tried to fix it.
good stay
overall good stay; no complaints. it snowed during my visit so i felt nice and cozy while inside.
Lovely hotel with good service overall. Food and amenities, however, were grossly overpriced and the breakfast buffet fair. Wifi was slow
BEST HOTEL BY FAR!
This property is very nice super clean and customer service is excellent. We had the opportunity to met General Manager who was so great to us and made our stay our highlight of the trip . Very grateful! worth everything!
Pretty average
Value for money, clean, space
Worst experiences in Hilton
Very isolated area, few restaurants nearby. Very bad services from staff. Public transportation very inconvenient.
Excellent Hotel, strongly recommend it
It is located in very quiet area, with great view but not centrally located. Took taxis easily to move around. Concierge handed written instructions for the drivers as I Korea they are few people that speak Englsh.
Nice but out of town
The Hotel is close to the mountains but its a long way from the centre and traffice was horrendous all the time .No where to walk to a night its very out of the way
Good hotel
Good hotel and great staff. Superb rooms. Good office chairs in the rooms making it possible to work. The hotel is about 10km away from downtown Seoul which makes it calm and quite. Very pricy when it comes to dining.
Too far outside on city center
The location of the Grand Hilton is its achilles heel. It takes 1.5 hours by taxi to get into the city center due to extreme traffic. It was so bad that even taxi drivers don't want to take fares there! So when I had to move to the Millenium Hilton in the center, the refused to refund my pre-paid week and then charged me again for the two nights. So poor location and management make this a poor choice. Not recommended.
Hilton? I think it's somewhat disappointing.
Good place but not the best. Unfortunately, I disappointed a bit because of the totel buffet restaurant. I have experiences staying in hilton hotels in the US, comparing w/ that, its service was not so good. It was good place to stay though.
Consistently good. I always stay here when I'm in Seoul, reason being that it always ends up meeting my expectations.
Business trips
I have stayed at this hotel on two trips so far. It's a nice hotel and the breakfast is great too. However the location is really bad. I stay for business so I'm ok with the location however, if you plan to walk our and a out I would not recommend at all. Also, the hotel restaurants are super pricey. I will definitely stay there again though since the hotel and their services are good.
Great Hotel - Location not convenient
Hotel Room was perfectly comfortable, Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. This is a little on the outskirts to central Seoul and not convenient to the Subway system; however they try and make up for it by providing shuttle services on the hour. Once you master this, it works out fine. If you prefer to walk out of your hotel and have the city-this is not the location for you.
Great hotel
Nice hotel, except for the location not so central. Overall was great!
A true getaway in Seoul
Grand Hilton Seoul is a 30-minute bus ride away from most sightseeing spots in Seoul but they do have an hourly shuttle that takes you into downtown. The hotel itself is immaculate, spacious and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They also pick you up from and drop you off to the airport shuttle, which is super-convenient. The hotel is located at the base of a hill and the view is very pretty.
Not great, there are better places to stay
It certainly is a nice clean hotel and the service is fairly good. However, the location of this hotel makes it inconvenient if you are planning to be a tourist in downtown Seoul as it is far removed from the core of the city. There is another Hilton that you might want to consider with a much better location so don't get the two confused. There is a hotel bus shuttle into downtown which is helpful but the map that you are given is terrible, good luck finding the pickup points for the bus. The food prices are also quite high to the point of being absurd, even for Seoul. Beer was $18! The hotel charges over $20 for in room internet so if you care about such things you are forewarned. The rooms are nice enough but the halls smell like 15 year old carpet because that appears to be what is on the floor. I was also very surprised when I asked for a late check out and the front desk flatly refused and then only "gave" me one extra hour (oh thank you sir!) when I protested vocally. In all the hotels I have stated in (hundreds!) I have never been refused a late checkout before. I won't be coming back to this property as there are better places to stay in Seoul.
Relaxing
The Grand Hilton Seoul is a beautiful hotel with great amenities. The staff was kind but the front desk seemed very tired. I arrived at the hotel early and was allowed to check in right away. The only drawback about this hotel is the location. It is far from most of the main attractions in Seoul. Since it is far, the surrounding area is very quiet and calm. To somewhat make up for the distance, Grand Hilton Seoul offers free shuttle service in to the city. Although, you will have to find a way back.
Poor internet and decor
The internet connection is the major drawback of this hotel. You had to pay US$20 for 24 hours internet in my room but the connection was very unstable. The decor of the hotel is like late 70s. If you want to travel back in time, it is a great to stay in this hotel.
Great family condo
We rented two three bedroom suites for our family vacation. There was 10 of us and we had the entire 7th floor. The suites was spacious and comfortable
Quite and Comfy
It's located in north side of Seoul and surrounded by mountains. Nice veiw and perfect location to take a break.
Poor service, maintenance
Poor service: The check-in staff argued with me about my reservation which included breakfast. They should have just helped me check in and get in my room and resolve the breakfast issue with this site separately. Poor maintenance: The shower had mildew/mold in the corners, and the sink stopper required manually pushing down on it to "open", which is quite nasty to discover if you've already polluted the sink water and now want to rinse it down the drain.
Great Hotel for Business
This was a beautiful hotel and great for business travel. I had a spacious, clean room on the 11th floor with full access to the business lounge. The staff was very helpful and remembered my name every time they saw me. I would stay at this hotel again.
Good location
It was comfortable
Has a free shuttle to downtown
The stay is just okay, as the hotel is not close to the subway stations. The free shuttle bus is nice, but it only runs every hour starting from 8am. The internet service is super expensive, and you have to rent a router if you want wifi, with additional cost!!
Enjoy the stay in Seoul for the art fair
The hotel stay was really comfortable for the G Seoul Art Fair. It's my first visit to Seoul, which is such a lovely and modern city. I've met many interesting people, enjoyed the great food here.
Really nice stay here
It was great experience. The hotel room is very neat and comfortable. Also enjoyed very delicious food. Fantastic!
Excellent business hotelwest of Seoul center
This hotel is located west of the center of Seoul and somewhat faster to get to from Gimpo and Incheon airports. Rooms have recently been totally redone. Being away from the center gives less dining possibilities outside the hotel in the local area.
misrable location and bad hotel
its a bad hotel - starting from its location in nowhere - to the stuff who are stuck up - the room service food which is low quality - only good thing about this hotel is their gym
Not up to snuff
This is a top price luxury hotel but shouldn't be. It is really a convention center. The food served at breakfast and in the lounges isn't really high quality (fruits, vegies, cheeses are all below local standards). But the service is top drawer and people are nice. Location is terrible and only partially made up by their 'shuttle' which operates hourly only and has very angry drivers. Compares quite poorly to its competitor Shilla hotel. Only double sized beds in normal rooms.
Just nice hotel
Room is a little bit old but fairly maintained. Free shuttle bus between hotel and Itaewon is available. Available one bus per a hour. Location is not very good to access big city but you can take the shuttle bus to the nearest Subwaystation(Hongje). Subway is very cheap and clean. Almost like Japan train system.
Grand Hilton Seoul
The hotel is very nice and the staff were excellent. If driving it is a bit difficult to get to taking into account the congested traffic of Seoul. For entertainment and dining it is a ways away. Itaewon is an ~40 min taxi ride and Downtown Seoul is aroung 20 min as well. Not much within walking distance.
Good hotel location away from center
I use this hotel because it is convenient to the residence of our business representative. The location is away from center and points of interest. The hotel needs some serious updating, e.g. TVs are ancient. This hotel also tends to be a bit overpriced.
Had expected more of Hilton
Hotel is too far away. It's about 45 minutes away from the Seoul (North) City & with traffic may be longer. There's absolutely nothing there except for a nice Korean BBQ place across of hotel (10mins) on foot & a specialized/customized designed Harley Davidson leather accessory store. Not suitable for tourist but perhaps for the business traveler attending conference at hotel itself. Surrounding are local shops, businesses, housing. Hotel provides a shuttle to Itaewon (it's mini America, listed as an attraction too but over rated), from there you can take underground to the main attractions of the city north & south of Seoul. Nearest underground from hotel is about 15 minutes walk but ride to any attractions will require train line hopping & time. Cab is expensive & traffic is not kind. Hotel rate is too expensive for the location & quality. It would have been bearable if the air-conditioning of room did not keep tripping. Room had no safe! Hotel staffs could not understand any other inquiry other than standard scripted information they had in hand. Ask anything else, it'll draw a blank. Plus points, the airport bus stand is 2 minutes walk away & hotel provides a shuttle. Not a choice location if your intention is to visit & move about a lot.
Grand Dissapoinment
The Lobby and Staff were what we expected from the Hilton. We began to become dissappointed as soon as we stepped off of the elevator onto our floor. The flooring was dirty in both the hall and our room. The room was a good size, but the furnishings are old,and in poor condition. Overall it seemed as if the lobby was 5 star and the rooms were 2-3 star. In addition to that, they charged for everything, even internet use in the business center!
Don't be fooled by the name
During international travel I thought it was a good idea to use a hotel name I know and trust, silly me. The Grand Hilton Seoul was a real disappointment. The grand lobby of marble and granite is impressive, but wait to you try the bed, what a huge disappointment. I think they are the original mattresses from when the hotel was built. I felt every single coil and tiny movement of my boyfriend. And the hairdryer in the bathroom was scary at least, looking like a device of torture. Any hoping that we may escape the hotel for a yummy authentic Korean BBQ dinner was a let down as well. The "concierge" didn't know where we could find Korean BBQ in Korea, WHAT!!! And what little communication we could make was extremely strained with the hotel staff, except one shining light, who spoke excellent English and was able to easily direct us to the location we wished at the time. I wish I knew her name, so I could give her proper accolades, but she was not one of the "concierge's", just a desk clerk. And to be clear on the beds, it is not just one unlucky room. We had two separate check in dates due to travel plans mid week, so we had two bad beds. We also thought the hotel was much closer to the city, but really it is a 15-30 minute taxi ride to downtown, and a 10 minute walk to closest subway.

There is no downtown area close enough to walk around the hotel.and there is no restaurants close walk around hotel .It's an old hotel, so the bathtub and other things are old.

Clean. Nice service. Breakfast is decent. Will stay again.
