The hotel is not convenient and clean.

Its very tired property although its in progress of renewal customers should know. For a Ctiy break its ideal but need to be Clean. Corridors were TERRIBLE Toilet was Terrible in my room White towels gone grey.

Everything is good

I have stayed at this property previously and am finding now it seems to be going downhill. The old staff have gone and the new staff don’t seem that friendly. We were however given a suite this time which was value for what we paid but carpets were terribly stained and room not cleaned properly. Breakfast has also gone downhill.

I love the pool

This is not a 5 star hotel - perhaps 2 star at best needs complete renovation. That said bed clean and pool was good. I paid very little for the room so good value overall. I found all staff pleasant although they forgot my wake up call!

Nice hotel

Good for the price. Nice staff and breakfast. Very nice view from hotel room. Even though the building is old it’s clean and nice. Only minuses were no air condition even though the booking site said so, and hard mattress. Also pool was not open, which was not informed when booking. Still a good stay.

A bit disappointing

The location is good. breakfast was wonderful, however bathrooms weren't tidy and stuff weren't friendly...

Great Hotel

The hotel is in a fantastic position in the centre with buses, taxis and shops outside the hotel. The staff are very smart and welcoming. The breakfast was good with lots to choose from. The hotel room was clean, the bathroom excellent with a Bath and shower above. But in need of some repairs to the floor in the lounge area. The room was designed for twin beds so the light switch was behind the pillows in the centre of the bed. The first 2 nights in the room were comfortable but unfortunately the air con was changed to fixed heat option and the next 5 nights were uncomfortable having to sleep with the window open which made the room noisy all night, we did ask the lady on reception to change this but was fixed and we asked for a fan but didn’t get one. Had a great time and would recommend and return but would check the room before unpacking in future.

No way this hotel is five stars , this is very old hotel ,the room and special the bathroom are in bad condition you can see mold and A lot of scale ,The bathroom is old and in terms of room standard it is at the level of maybe 3 stars. I think that at the price I paid ,there are better 4 star hotels in Adana

Hotel in the heart of the city and pool to get out

Been travelling around Turkey during the heat wave so it was fantastic to be able to go to a place with a pool on a budget. Simple facilities and nice staff, it is also in the heart of the city so it is great to get out and walk around and see the sights

It was quite nice to live there with the family.. Clean rooms.. Nice lobby; cool outdoor swimming pool.. Reach breakfast .. Kind staff... Very difficult to communicate with the staff there because they don't speak any other language but Turkish.. Very little and not enough English... I would really recommend to try to reach a receptionist called " kürsad" he actually spoke the best English and was so kind and helpful; used to work at night when I stayed there.

When is a five star hotel not a five star hotel?

Receptionist could not interested allocated wrong room type then spent 15 minutes trying to get me to part with cash to upgrade to a suite I had already paid for. Hotel has no air conditioning in any of the public areas and it was 42 c the elevators only hold 4 people the restaurant staff think it's ok to drop food on the carpet then scoop it up and place it on the buffet for consumption by guests with no consideration for guests health. Met the general manager who apologised the room aircon could not reduce temperature below 28 c They fail to point out that the hotel is 100 metres from a mosque so no need for an early morning call.The windows in the hallway have mirrored film fitted because if you open them you discover that the can only be opened 12 inches otherwise the hit the wall of the building next door.

Great hotel with great staff :)

I had a good long 10 day stay here at this hotel great staff with front valet parking no need to worry about parking... Rooms are good with cold air conditioning for the hot 44 degree summer time massive outdoor pool and bar.. Over all 8/10 a little more aircon in the hall ways would be better but free wifi can't go wrong

Good hotel as long as one doesn't expect a 5 star

I often stay in Adana on my journey trough Turkey and this time I thought i would try the Surmeli since they had a swimming pool where one could relax since the weather would be too hot for sightseeing. The location is great and there is also a covered car park which is a bonus in Adana. It was clean,the rooms were fine and the beds very comfortable. . I enoyed the breakfast which is typically Turkish with a good assortment. the only thing missing was fresh juice which is usually found in 5 star hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful and nothing much to complain of except the premises don't meet up to 5 star standards mostly because of Tacky decor , badly stained carpets, and shoddy workmanship.This place could be great with a bit of renovation. All this in mind, It was fairly priced and served the purpose well.

Classic European Charm

This was a nice hotel to stay in. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel restaurant and many of the other amenities seemed to be closed or not functioning during my stay. Not sure what that was all about.

Not a 5 star hotel...the service was good but the hotel is not well kept. The hotel needs to be upgraded. The food was good.

Good, clean and generous in quantites and qualities of food

Hotel was fine. Food was excellent . Language barrier was slight problem in restaurant. Noise from traffic was a nuisance at peak times. Overall though we all had a good time.

The hotel and service were fine. Our only significant complaint was that the room was very hot when we entered and the air conditioner was unable to cool it to a comfortable temperature the entire night.

The Surmeli Adana Hotel is horrible for a 5 star rating hotel! Definitely this is a 2 star hotel. Everything was stained – from carpet, to walls, bed sheets and towels. Horrible! I was very disappointed. There is another nearby hotel called “Mavi Surmeli Hotel” that is SO MUCH better! Please use the “Mavi Surmeli” Hotel. Unfortunately, the 2 names are so close (the Surmeli Adana Hotel and Mavi Surmeli) that one can easily choose the bad one (The Surmeli Adana Hotel ) thinking that it is the good hotel (Mavi Surmeli Hotel ); that is what happened to me. The irony is that both hotels are rated the same, the price is the same but the quality has no comparison.

My stay was comfortable with friendly service - buffet breakfast was good; in short an enjoyable stay at a reasonable price.

the hotel is in the middle of town close .the town is quite old . good value for money and good service and nice staff. i came in before check in time and i was asked to go and eat breakfast buffet while i wait for my room to be ready. the hotel is a good 3 star

Loved the Adana Surmeli Hotel. Staff was plentiful, helpful and not intrusive. Buffet breakfast was outstanding!

Pleasantly surprised

We had a trying time getting to the hotel as our tour bus broke down about an hour out of Adana and we spent the next 5hours trying to get there. After reading mixed reviews we were abit worried about what we'd find, but were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Check-in was a breeze and we even managed to squeeze in half an hour by the pool that evening! The pool area could do with some work, but it does the job. Breakfast plentiful but average.

It served it's purpose.

Hotel convenient to places I had to go to. Good breakfast and internet access was good. One thing I did not care for is the power went off in the room when you left and removed your key card from the slot. With Adana being in the mid 90's F. the time I was there, I would come back to a very hot-stuffy room that would take almost 2 hours to be comfortable in. Also considering the stars, the reception desk people should have a better grasp of English -

Hoping to visit Adana again

The Adana Surmeli lived up to its 5* rating. It is an excellent hotel with comfortable and spacious bedrooms - modern furniture and well kept. The breakfasts were very good with a reasonable choice of warm and cold fare on offer. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well situated in the city centre and is convenient for shopping in the excellent shops who have generally very good offers. The parks in Adana are beautiful - well planned and laid out. A very enjoyable stay and Adana and in the Surmeli in particular and we can thoroughly recommend it to others.

Otelin bir zamanlar ne kadar iyi oldugunu bilip, eski ve yipranma ihtimalini goz onune almistik ki oyleydi. Ama maalesef odalardaki temizlik ortama beklentimizin de cok altindaydi. Resepsiyon, karsilama, kahvalti servisi personeli elden geldigince yardimci ve guler yuzlu iken. House keeping ekibi ya da servisi konaklamamizi "kirli" hissettirdi.

We asked for double room, but given 2 single bed. Room and bathroom were very old and dirty. Valet service and location were good.

Otel 5 yıldızlı görünüyor ama bence öyle değil. Öncelikle spor salonu aktif değil. Bu önemliydi benim için. Banyolar ben hijyen konusunda eksikti. Lavabo kenarları vs sarı siyah gibiydi. Musluk yerinden çıkmıştı. 2 tek yataklı odada kaldık arkadaşla o da küçüktü. Ama lokasyonu iyi otelin.

Das Personal und die Lage ist super! Der Pool ist toll, doch lässt das Frühstück und die Einrichtung der Zimmer zu wünschen übrig. Beim Frühstück hat man keine große Auswahl, das ist nicht landesüblich. Die Einrichtung der Zimmer ist sehr veraltet und wirkt dadurch nicht sehr rein.

Otel odası inanılmaz şekilde sigara kokuyordu. Havalandırmadan sigara kokusu tüm gece geldi. Odalardaki eşyalar(havlu,nevresim vb) eskiydi. Tek iyi yanı kahvaltısıydı; doyurucu ve güzeldi.

Eski bir otel olmasına rağmen odaları banyo yataklar çok temizdi. Samimi bir karşılaması vardı otel personelinin. Ayrıca merkezi bir yerde de bulunması ekstra iyi oldu.

Oda gayet temizdi ancak otel günümüz teknolojilerine neredeyse hiç ama hiç ayak uyduramıyor. Adana gibi sıcak bir yerde klima yetersizdir. WI-FI İse kullanılamayacak kadar yavaş sadece WhatsApp mesajlaşmalarınız için kullanabilirsiniz. Havuzuna da girmek istedim ancak havuza giren girmeyen herkes havuz başında sigara içiyor rahatsızlık verici bir durum.

Das Hotel ist renovierungsbedürftig. Zimmer sind groß, auch für einzelne Personen. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend. Aber leider nicht mehr. Bspw. keine Brot-oder Teeauswahl. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Personal im Restaurant dagegen furchtbar. Kein „Hallo“, kein nichts. Weder Lächeln, noch irgendeine andere Geste. Die Blicke der einen Servicekraft Merve war abscheulich. So einen auf „steh endlich auf“. Abends mal den Zimmerservice nutzen wollen, auf der Karte stand bis 22:00 Uhr. Um 19:00 Uhr war es schon nicht möglich. Der Spa-Bereich war ok. Nichts besonderes. Die WLAN-Verbindung auf den Zimmern ist auch verbesserungsbedürftig.
