The motel was clean & staff were friendly. No bedbugs :). Nothing fancy, but serves its purpose
Not for handicapped people at all.
ZERO handicapped access !!! There is no first floor. From ground level,There is a half a flight of steps down to a floor, and half flight of steps up to another floor. Then there is a full flight of steps to the second floor. There are no luggage carts. I could find no way to get a wheelchair to a room The room was very clean and freshly painted. The carpet was new. The bathroom looked new. The bed was quite comfortable. The air conditioner remote was broken as was the temperature control on the AC unit. However, it kept the room cool. Breakfast was a joke. I saw no fruit, no cereal. There were no hot options. I didn't try the coffee. The staff spoke barely understandable English but tried to be helpful.
Worn
Very worn and dated. Dusty. Bathroom had water stains on ceiling. We were barely there so it was fine.

Old, outdated, gross!
It’s disgusting! Smells like stale smoke with hints of rubbing alcohol. The rooms are old and decorations are even older. The furniture has staines all over it (not just food stains but bodily functions). The bathroom was the worst part. We handed our keys back with within 10 minutes and left. We were also told we would still be charged. It was also JMU parents weekend and the price was so inflated. The hotel is probably a 50 dollar a night room and we paired 238 a night! Ridiculous! My advice pay the extra on parents weekend and stay somewhere else! Not here!
pick up parking lot. filthy

Cable went out at 1600 on Thursday & was still out at 0700 Friday.
This hotel was conveniently located for visiting our daughter at JMU, but so bad that we ended up not going back the second night. The staff member was on a personal call on his cell when we arrived (it sounded like a job interview). He shushed us and continued his conversation for 10 minutes while the weary travelers waited. The property was littered with cigarette butts and guests smoking right outside the main entrance, while an unattended child played in a drain next to the dumpster. The room had stained chairs and smelled like residual smoke. It was also very damp. There were 2 doors on our floor that were propped open with people coming and going.
Staff was nice and helpful. Wish the JMU Family weekend price gauging was under control. A room that is typically $178 per night for Friday and Saturday, was $499 a night for Friday and Saturday. I can understand it being a little more expensive, but this is ridiculous. That hotel is not a $499 per night hotel.
I had a room with two queen beds. BOTH beds had stains on either the underside of the bedspread, or the sheets themselves. I asked the front desk to switch my room or change them. They came and added more sheets above the stained ones on one bed. They said housekeeping would change both beds in the morning. They showed up as i was leaving for the day. When i returned they only swapped out a towel, but the sheets were still the same and the beds were never made up. Disgusting. I sent pictures to my wife who was glad she didn't join me for those nights.
Easy to find off the highway. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Worst Hotel ever.
Cleanliness was horrible. Bed sheets, bath, shower towels were dirty and discusting. The pictures on the site do not reflect the reality. The Hotel need to be renovated.
Dated property. Water dripping in the tub all night. Ok value for the price
My room smelled musty all the time. I had to leave my window open plus the air conditioner. The breakfast was not good. Bread with 1 - 2 slice toaster to share with everyone. It kept making the smoke alarm go off. The coffee was cold. Stale raisin bran cereal was the other option. No PB or jam for the toast. Just butter. My shower was so old the gloss was gone in the tub. The hotel is located in an Automotive district. No shopping. No place to walk. No sidewalks. My positive note is the room was clean and the beds were comfortable and it is located right beside hwy 81
Would Not Stay Here Again
Ok stay, just one night. The hotel itself looks like it hasn't been updated since the 1970s. The staff was neutral. I wouldn't stay here again.
I reserved 3 rooms exactly the same at the same price online but when I arrived the rooms were higher rates and all different rooms. They claimed that’s all that was available but there were hardly any cars at the motel
Wasn’t the cleanest. Shower head was terrible. Needs new tub.
New England Family Trip
Last night of a long family road trip before heading home to south central KY. Satisfactory and nothing to really complain about except no elevator and we had to lug our luggage up 3 flights of stairs.
Couldnt give us military discount already processed online reservation.
Clean quiet
They were so attentive to my family. Whatever we needed we just asked for it and the receptionist made it happen. Affordable and close to Luray. Small hotel and affordable
Never again
I stayed here for 2 nights during JMU graduation weekend. Hotel prices were horribly over-inflated so I took a chance staying here. Never again! The hotel is dated and questionably clean. The sink/tub seemed clean but the bathroom floor itself looked dirty. The sink lacked a stopper and I crossed my fingers I wouldn’t drop anything! There was no hair dryer in my room so the front desk clerk allowed me to go into an empty room to use that hair dryer. No conditioner provided (shampoo only) so I was glad I brought my own. They provided bar soaps for the sink, but no soap dish so the wet soap sat on the sink. The sheets on one bed seemed clean but on the 2nd bed they looked wrinkled like someone had slept on them, and both mattress protectors were stained. The beds have a sheet and a very thin cover only and were not comfortable. Lighting in the room was terrible. I tried to call the front desk once but the phone wasn’t plugged in and there wasn’t even a phone jack to plug into! Noisy neighbors are easily heard; my door had a gap along the side so it’s definitely not noise-dampening or fireproof. The continental breakfast consisted of weak coffee, juice, bananas, a tasteless dry pastry and cereal. Avoid it. Actually, just avoid this hotel all together.
Friendly

Room smells like cigarettes
It was really such a poor quality property. It smelled of cigarette smoke. The rooms were unsleepable. Bad location and felt very unsafe. I couldn’t even walk in the room. I had to leave and cancel my stay. It left me unsettled.
They serve Breakfast in one tiny room. Very limited choice.
I paid $10 more to upgrade to a queen bed - the room I was given was a double size bed
The room iis ok, the bathroom definitely could use a update
Breakfast did not have yogurt that other Super 8s have. Truck noise was very high.
Great stay. Only disappointed in Breakfast. No fruit. Only toast, cereal and hunny buns. Coffee and tea. Every else great. Friendly and courteous staff
Excellent communication and clean room for price point.
Mattress like a board. place clean but worn. Breakfast sad

Was the right pace for me,
The upgrade was a downgrade
They "upgraded" us from a queen to a king. That would have been fine if the bed hadn't had all the springs busted out of the middle and cigarette burns in the comforter. Seriously, there was a huge saggy hole in the middle of the bed and the lady at the desk made such a big deal about no smoking in the rooms, but there's burns in this blanket... Srsly? The bed was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Also, LOTS of tweakers on this property. The guy across the hall was in and out of his room, slamming the door each time, every 5 minutes ALL NIGHT LONG. Very unrestfull stay, would NOT recommend for anyone decent. The real kick in the teeth is that they had the nerve to charge us a damage deposit!!! For a room that was damaged already!! They had some nerve. Will NEVER stay here again, would rather sleep in my car!
Needs up dates
I won’t stay there again
Chair was dirty the tub was worn out and water pipes in shower were moving when tuning shower on needs to be cleaned and up grade badly
Served it's purpose.
Was looking for a place to sleep & shower. Room was clean. Needs new electrical outlets & refrigerator was not the cleanest but we didn't have any use for it anyway. I'll stay here again
It was as good as any of the hotels I have stayed at in Harrisonburg and much less expensive. It was quiet inside the hotel and clean. It's in a busy area which I did not like but most hotels are.
As soon as we started going up the stairs there was a moldy smell that carry to our room. In the room things didnt get better. Microwave wasn't working properly, a lot of spots in the room were damage and/ poorly repaired like shower head, walls, phone, etc. I do not recommend this place.
The guy who checked me in was very rude. Like I was bothering him by trying to check in. The room was mediocre, and the bed was super hard. But what really bothered me is that every time I went outside to my car to smoke another guy who works there would come outside and stare and just watched me, literally EVERY TIME, I even moved my car to a different spot in the parking lot, but he still showed up. As a woman traveling alone, I would suggest NEVER STAYING HERE!
B+
The location was perfect for our trip and convienent to restaurants and gas. The room was clean and modern (except the bathtub was “peeling” and the bed sunk in the middle. We had to walk up to the 3rd floor (6 flights of steps) due to no elevator which is difficult for us with back issues amd luggage. All in all it was quiet relaxing night
I've stayed there probably 8 times over the years and they always are very accommodating.
You get what you pay for I guess, I would not recommend this hotel if you are traveling with children or any at risk individuals. Staff was warm and friendly, room door lock was inadequate, bedding was full of cigarette burns despite being a smoke free room, PTAC ( air conditioner) was very noisy but it helped cover up the highway noise a bit, breakfast was laughably paltry, no hot food only coffee, bread, cereal and prepackaged sweet bun, “juice” machine was out of apple syrup and orange seemed past expiry. I payed $56 so hard to complain much.
The manager wouldn’t allow my daughter to check in because her boyfriend wanted to make sure she got in her room safe. Very discriminating against them. Said he was not allowed to stay, which he wasn’t. Just all around rude
It was ok. Not much dealing with the staff, breakfast was blah. Served its purpose.
The heat wasn’t working
Section 8
Asked for parking in cash
The place it’s ok
De super lujo. Entrada privada muyyyyy buena noche q pase
Was asked to provide an additional credit card, even though I paid online. Was warned several times including via email of the no smoking, not pets, policy. Even though my room smelled like a chain smoking Great Dane took a smoking dump! On the bed. Light bulbs blown in the bath room. Door won't close.
Very reasonable pricing. Three stories with no elevator i could find. My window was o fre feet from a highway, so lots of vehicle noise. Cockroaches in the bathroom. I would pay more for a better place next tomw.
This room was disgusting!
I was there for JMU Family Weekend. The condition of the room was horrible! Stains on bedding, water stains on light shades, dirt & dust build up on outlets, dirty walls. I did not want to touch anything. Of course the room rate was insane for the room. They offered a breakfast, but there was no way that I would even try it, given the state of the hotel. I will not be staying there in the future.
Awful
The hotel conditions are really awful. This hotel needs major major upgrades. The carpets are dingy the coverlets are dingy. We received two thin towels for our double queen room. The bathtub and shower is degraded so that there’s no finish on it. My husband advises people on their franchises that are multi million dollar franchises. Wyndham and super eight should not allow should not allow the name to be on this hotel. Also, this hotel probably charges $65 at any other time of year. On parents weekend we paid over $250 per night.
Staff was cordial , condition is "worn" , but clean enough.
Good
Off Highway
Don’t stay here!
At check in front desk staff was rude (lady). At check out had to wait more than 5 minutes for him to show up. Breakfast was horrendous! No protein at all! Coffee awful ! Hot water for tea Luke warm at best had to microwave! Literally bread, dry cereal, and prepackaged honey buns.
We had to switch rooms because the first one smelt. They were very accommodating when I requested to switch rooms. The hotel is on a busy street but in the hotel we couldn’t hear the traffic. They don’t offer decaf coffee with breakfast. If they did offer; the canisters were not labeled. I didn’t see any flavored coffee creamers. The gas station across the street didn’t offer decaf coffee. It must not be common in the area where we were staying. They had apple and orange juice. Apples, sliced white bread, boxed honey bun’s & two types of cereal. For the price, nothing fancy, hotel was good enough for a one night stay. We would stay there again.
It was only OK. The noise from the Air Conditioner made sleep difficult.
Room smelled weird
My error!
I accidentally booked a smoking room ( who knew they still existed) and receptionist was kind enough to allow me to cancel my remand I rebooked to have a non smoking room!
Nice rooms and friendly staff. Will be back. 👍
Hotel clerk was AWESOME
Nice property but they have extremally limited items in breakfast (only bread, frosted bread, milk and cheerios which is even lesser than other super 8 hotels). Staff management is good.
Very old. No elevator. Desperately needs renovation.
Just ok.
Easy to get in to off freeway
Rooms were prepaid and had two different names for two rooms. Could not get my room key until my daughter showed up, because somehow both rooms were under her in their system or something. I paid for rooms and was called by motel as if my number was my daughters, needless to say no room key until my daughter showed up....weird rule for prepaid rooms.
This property was old and not updated. The bathroom was awful and in need of repairs. I was also price gouged for graduation. $560 for two nights. That is the same price a friend paid for a hotel on the beach. I was in rural Harrisonburg, VA with a view of the road and the air outside smelled like manure.
I didn’t like having a $100 deposit sprung on me at checkout.
Only thing negative was the the even # rooms facing street, truck stop across the street, soooo noisy. No real breakfast, buy your own. Staff is very nice, room, bed, pillows very comfortable. I'll be back again
The front desk staff was rude, they would not supply us with enough towels. The room smell was stale cigarette smoke, the air conditioner quit working, no sheets on one of our beds, and our key quit working on our second night stay. Will not stay here anymore.
Nice an clean for the area
Nice rooms, an all around good place to stay at a value price. Breakfast room had cereal, honey bun, or toast. There is a Diner right across the street. I would definitely stay here again👍.
Very friendly staff. Convenience to good food. Easy access to and from interstate
The property was ok. Not a large space but enough.
Overall very old and bathtub was so dirty. There was no Wi-Fi as they said router needed to be replaced.
I was asked to put $100 down on my card for incidentals and I tried to explain to the person at the property that I wasn’t in business of loaning money to her for a few days. She was put off but really it’s not the type of property that needs to worry about such a thing because it was not in great shape. I can understand if you have amazing things in your rooms but I would rather just give $50 in cash and get it back the next morning once they look at the room. It really didn’t make any sense to me and the person at the desk made me feel like I was not heard which is not good customer service
The manager assigned me a room that had been treated with chemicals and had a terrible odor. When I complained, an assistant later assigned me a clean room. The manager later told me I had to pay extra for the new room.
Road trip out of town for the night.
We reserved the room online thru Trivago. The process was quick and easy with confirmation within minutes. We showed up and was greeted by hotel rep. She was friendly and easy to deal with. The access to the room from outside was a little out of the way. With only one other entrance other than the front desk location from what I could find. We wanted to park in a well lit area so we had to go around to the back side where lighting from an adjacent business was available. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would have liked to have a usb/phone plug in along the wall or at the bedside table, as I have used in other hotels. We were needing to charge 2 phones and a computer. We made do. Accommodations in the room were basic, nothing more than the bare minimum. Could have used at least 2 more towels per guest, body and hair towel needed.
Confused about if was going clean room while we stayed. Had ask twice about towels. A lot of construction and remodeling the hotel. Got bit in room so left early. Itching a lot.
There were bed bugs, we had to leave the property before planned and of course it was not refunded
The front desk attendant was kind enough to stay up a little later than necessary so i could use my booking still. SO NICE!!! It made my Thanksgiving!!
Everything was great except the bed. It was really pretty hard , but overall nice stay.
There were roaches in our room. We killed multiple. They didn't properly clean the toilet seat and we used the one towel that was in the bathroom to clean the seat ourselves. I had to go ask for more towels and washcloths the next morning so we could shower and some of them were stained. I got us ready and packed up the next morning and moved our stuff out on the sidewalk to wait for my husband to finish working and pick us up so we didn't carry any bugs home with us. All of our pillows, blankets clothes and bags had to be washed when we got home to ensure we weren't bring any bugs into our home.
Super8 harrisonburg..dont do it
The hvac filters..dirty. the pillowcases had not been changed and the fridge was filthy. The lady at the front desk did switch rooms but this extended cleaning comment on the facepage is nuts. We couldnt get a refund so we stayed overnight in the second room, which was borderline. This is the second awful experience at a super8 that claims they have extensive cleaning practices due to covid. Uck.
Never again
When I got here I was told they didn't have cribs or pack and plays for my baby, even though the website says they do. So because of that i got no sleep because my baby had to sleep on the bed. Went to my room, and the door was already left open for me so anyone or anything could've been in the room before me. Then, our tv wasn't working but thankfully I brought batteries with me and that's all the remote needed
No chair in the room.
There is no chair in the room, not a single chair.
Mold in bathroom
Advertized full breakfast had only toast and fruit. I have stayed in Motel 6 in better shape. Viewed what looked like mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, chipped furniture, beat up doors and scratchd up walls. I can say the bed was comfortable.
Need some cleaning
That building and room need some cleaning.
zero stars DUMP
This Hotel should never be on a Wyndham Hotel it was the worst hotel I ever stayed in, I had to sleep with my socks on because of the stink of the carpet and didn't want to pick up something. The hallways stunk of cigarettes and looked like 1965, AC didn't work, will never stay there again
Disappointed
This place is really run down. Everything smelled horrible. No smoking signs everywhere but nobody seems to care. Fridge, freezer and microwave where terribly dirty. Bath room had a musty smell. There was hair from previous person still in the bathtub - yuck. And a piece of old soap. When I opened the window it smelled like a rotten dumpster outside. Beds were ok. Surroundings of place was not inviting. Across from huge truck yard. Would not recommend to stay there with children. Could hear music from other room at 4am. Super 8 used to be decent, reliable brand. Breakfast had ridiculously little choices. I can not recommend this place. Only highlight was the really friendly staff.
Typical 2 Star Hotel.
First the good. Very friendly check in service. I forget her name but she had a large friendly dog in the lobby with her. The room itself was relatively clean and the hotel as a whole was quiet. The bed was comfortable, wifi and TV worked fine, as did the in room coffee maker. The buffet was bare bones, coffee, toasted white bread, apple juice and a honey bun--tasted fine. The issues I had--during my 2 night stay, a lady on the second afternoon barged into my room without knocking and said it was time to spray the room for pests. Incredibly unprofessional. She relented when I told her I didn't want my room sprayed with insecticide while I was still in it. Also, the shower knob was lying on the sink when I entered. I was able to reattach it and use it, but also requested that someone come in and fix it so I wouldn't have to do it. This was never done at least while I was there. Overall, you are going to get what you pay for, I would rate my stay a 5 out of 10 overall, would have been an 8 if not for the employee that opened my door without knocking.
Bad Stay
Not a good experience. Bathroom had a bad leak in the ceiling from the toilet in the room overhead. The odor was very bad. Room wasn't cleaned well. Breakfast was donut, juice and coffee. Walkway around building needed cleaning.
The fire alarm went off at 5:45 a.m. and no one seemed concerned or told us anything. The staff was friendly.
Bugs everywhere in my room
