Very friendly staff! The pool area is amazing. Great breakfast for a small fee. It was right near the beaches, stores, and restaurants. I definitely recommend, especially for the price.

Lovely, basic stay

We stayed here for the full moon party and had a cute cabin style room on the hill. We had a lovely big balcony area with an incredible sea view with a dining table. The area wasn’t the cleanest but we got used to it after the first night. The bathroom was brand new and lovely! Bed was pretty comfy but you’ll have to get used to a few ants on the floor, but wasn’t too bad. You’re practically in the jungle so it’s expected! We even had a monkey swing past our balcony. Bed sheets were clean and pillows were nice. Infinity pool area was amazing. The view was insane! WiFi up there too with choice of soft drinks and beer.

Over all the room was nice and clean. Their were 2 problems though, One the room did not have a lock on the door which made me feel less safe to keep things unattended in the room. Two their was no toilet paper in the room. Over all still pretty ok value for money, a lock on the door would have made it perfect.

Beautiful views

Stayed here for 4 nights over the full moon party. Awesome views overlooking the haad rin pier and koh samui. Basic cabins but everything you need. Could use a bit of up keeping seems like the staff are just lazy. The toilet wasn't cleaned there's broken shower tiles lying all over the shower floor. Simple things that coulda been swept up and cleaned when cleaning a room. Beautiful view from the pool and the restaurant. Again lazyness at the restaurant. We sat down for breakfast and the lady just sits there watching her tablet. I had to get up to ge the menus. The she points to the pad of paper on her desk to write my order down. She soul don't even get up to take our order. I ordered poridge and my wife orders a omlette sandwich her food comes out and I sit waiting for 10 min for my.poridge it came after she was done her food. Oh and no house keeping either if you need anything you need to go to the front desk to get it yourself. The place is also under contraction though that didn't affect or disturb us.

Isolated and unloved

Upon arrival we were greeted with smiles, we took our reservation confirmation and the lady simply asked "where is name" because she was too lazy to find it herself. We were taken to our bungalow, and it was good because we were given the choice between two bungalows. The first had 2 levels but the mattresses where on the floor, so we chose the second with bed frames. Once we were in the room we quickly realised the unloved state of it. The wooden cladding on the wall had holes in it, and the glass panes in the window were sealed using what appeared to be wet toilet paper that had dried. Despite this the place was generally okay in terms of cleanliness, apart from a big build up of limescale on the taps. We decided to walk down to the pool and restaurant area. This was about a minute from the bungalow. We had to walk through a building site where it looks like they were constructing some new bungalows and these were elevated, so we had to walk under these down some steps to the pool area. This site had no health and safety signs and we had no previous warning as to the building work that was happening very close to our bungalow, this resulted in a lot of noise the next morning so no hope of a lie in. The pool area was clean but there were no staff in the restaurant area. We never saw any other guests or saw any other lights on in the bungalows, so we didn't feel safe and decided to stay the first night and then we moved. I can imagine during full moon the place is more lively

Great place for the price. Just as all through Thailand mosquitoes everywhere. At least clean the guts off the wall. The room had ac and the staff was friendly. I would stay here again.

my friends and i stayed at suncliff for 5 days, 2 before the full moon party and 2 and a half days after. i really enjoyed my stay here because it was so close to restaurants and bars and only a 5 min walk to the full moon beach! i liked the fact that we had our own bungalow to ourselves. the condition was mediocre, lots of bugs because the balcony door was wide open when we first settled in. a/c only blew out cold air every so often so during the day the sun made the room super hot. eventually we asked for an extra fan and they took the time to look for one. they dont clean your room but you can go to reception and ask for extra towels or toilet paper to be delivered! we had to sweep and take the garbage out ourselves but that wasnt a big deal at all. very spacious room with a front foyer area, huge bathroom (lots of little ants), water pressure couldve been better but there was hot water and cold (for a nice cool shower on a hot day), balcony with table and hammock and bedroom had very comfy beds. we locked the roomkey in our room by accident and reception was closed but we called and they came back to give an extra key so another plus. i would definitely come back and stay at suncliff during the full moon party. it was more of a diy stay as in we took care of ourselves such as the sweeping and refreshing towels etc but i still recommend staying there!

Great stay for the seaviews

A lovely bungalow with a great balcony for stunning views over the sea. The pool area was also amazing for views where you can also eat and drink. Only downside was our room wasn't cleaned once in the 5 days we stayed

Amazing

We stayed for 5 nights. Very close to full moon party but far enough to avoid noise at night. The swimming pool has best view in koh pangan. Everything was close, also if you want to go Koh Samui, there's is small pier 5 mins away from this place. Staffs were so helpful and kind. Will stay here again!

Nice Hotel, Pleasant Stay.

We reached the hotel a day before FMP. The staff were very helpful, where upon arrival parking for our car arranged at no cost. The check-in was very smooth. We traveled in small group, hence we took 2 rooms and both rooms were in great condition. The location of the hotel quite strategic and quite near to FMP. Despite all the comments about the security issue at the hotel, we found the security level quite good where u can place your valuables at special locker area, but the flaw part it is only accessible till 10 at night. The other part u need to get own pad lock and we were carrying one as part of travelling kit, so we found no hassle there. There is guy who taking care the hotel were very friendly and he gave us some good guides and tips. We rented the motorbike from the hotel people itself. Although in the beginning we were worried with all the scams warnings about charges for the damage you dont cause, all were smooth and they were so honest. Only suggestion that I could think of is maybe could make the locker room accessible 24/7. We placed most of our belongings and went to the party, while partying we got separated and few of us needed to access the locker room for key and money but we couldn't. Overall we enjoyed the stay and looking forward to stay again in this hotel in future.

Great location for the full moon party

The hotel is close to he full moon party but you do not hear all the noise from it. The staff is not friendly but they will answer whatever questions you have. The pool view is great.

Ant Infestation

While the hotel owner was very friendly and helpful, the room left a lot to be desired. We had issues with water pressure in the shower and a major ant infestation. There were ants crawling everywhere! I know that Koh Phangan has a lot of bugs since it's basically jungle, but setting out a few things of ant poison in the room could make a world of a difference. Also, you had to ask to have your room cleaned and for fresh towels and linens, but when you do ask, they do clean it within 24 hours. The beds were really comfy as well, and the location was great-right in the heart of Haad Rin.

Nice hotel

I stay at this hotel whenever I travel to Ko Phangan. The rooms are nice, clean, and secluded from the noise, for the most part, of the full moon parties. The staff is always helpful and I always get a good room for the price.

Great location

Stayed here loads of times. It's great being away from the madness of Haad Rin but within a 5 min walk to the centre. It's old school quirky rooms which I love with great views to the gulf. Good but small pool helps.

Great location and value

Had a great stay at Suncliff for the full moon party. It is very central and ideal for everything you want at Haad Rin. Staff don't clean/give new towels/toilet roll unless you ask - which was fine for us. The pool is a long enough walk from the hotel but very pretty views and nice food.

Great for the full moon party. A 10 minute walk to the beach. Pool is nice with restaurants bungalows are nice although some are nicer than others

CONFIRM BOOKING WITH HOTEL

Arrived at 9pm after over 24hrs of travel only to hear they didn't know about our booking! I had booked 2 months prior. We were here for the Full Moon Party and I was thinking everywhere else would be booked. I showed them my email confirmation and it seemed like 15mins of them searching and finally they said they found it. The basic room we booked were all taken so they upgraded us to the last bungalow for the stay...we got very lucky! The bungalow had a balcony with a beautiful view of the sea and sunset especially enjoyed on the hammock and lounge chair. It was a bonus to see the view from bed! The bed sheets were gross looking, I was surprised the fridge even worked (looked so old!). Very basic. Enjoyed the storage area with a little closet where you could hang clothes and the full length mirror is always a plus! The walk to the bungalows was 'hard' (5-10)mins from the main rd, especially in the heat and uphill

Ich hab einen bungalow gebucht mit meerblick und wurde erst umgeleitet zu einem zimmer direkt an der strasse mit aircondition was ja schon ein upgrade war aber dennoch wollte ich nicht auf den ausblick verzichten. Habe dann ein ganz alten Bungalow mit fan bekommen der war sehr rustikal nicht gerade sauber aber für mich hat es der ausblick komplett entschädigt! Das Restaurant also die Küche hat täglich bis 17uhr geöffnet, was ich etwas zu früh finde. Das Frühstück bei so einer Kulisse ist wirklich traumhaft und es schmeckt auch ganz gut!

Beautiful but warm.

Stayed for 2 nights during the Full Moon Party (excellent experience) and we rented the cheapest bungalows with a single fan. It became a bit to warm for us during the 2 nights. The hammock outside the bungalow was a pleasant asset. The pool area however was one of the most beautiful places we have seen during our trip. They also serve good food in the pool area for a decent price. We did not get housekeeping during our stay, so that was disapointing. The staff was very nice to us and the area was calm even during the Full Moon Party. Nice place, but would get a bungalow or room with AC if we ever go back.

Very good Stay

It's a quiet place but not far to the sunrise beach. The staff is very nice and helping. The pool is small but with a very nice view. I so not rocomend the fan rooms though. It is too hot at night. Usualy i am fine without airconditioner, but here i realy sufferd at night although the bungalow was very nice.

Allemaal bungalows naast elkaar. Zwembad ligt wat verder van de bungalows 300m ongeveer. Het uitzicht van het zwembad is echt zo mooi als op de foto's.

Lækkert og hyggeligt

Her bor man i små Bungalows, hvilket er så hyggeligt. Man skal selv bede om rengøring, men det vidste vi fra start og det passede os fint. Poolen er helt fantastisk, med udsigt over havet. Dog er poolområdet lidt småt og trængt, da vi ikke var de eneste som fandt den fantastisk. Det er lidt svært at komme rundt i området, hvis man er dårligt gående, men det er generelt for øen. Vi "mistede" desværre en parfume her, men selvom det er mest logisk at den forsvandt under rengøring, så kan vi ikke være sikre. Der er til gengæld mulighed for, at låse værdigenstande inde, hvis man medbringer egen lås.

Mitten im Geschehen und doch ruhig abgelegen

Waren mit unserem großem Zimmer sehr zufrieden. Das Resort befand zwischen den zwei Stränden der Fullmoonparty und gegenüber. Kurzer Fußmarsch zu beiden. Nur der Resort-eigene Pool lag etwas abseits, dafür war die Aussicht wirklich schön - abends einen Bier zu trinken und vor sich hin schweben ;)

Bungalows mit Meerblick sind ausgezeichnet!

Nach erster Nacht in kleinem Zimmer (nicht sehr schön gewesen) upgrade auf Bungalow mit Meerblick (kostet nur ein paar Euro mehr), dieses war ausgezeichnet, großer Bungalow, Terrasse mit Hängematte und Meerblick

Bon séjour, personnel très sympathique, très proche de la plage et des restaurants...espace piscine au top. .un petit peu bruyant le soir (semaine de la full moon).

HÔTEL EN DÉSUÉTUDE

Gérante très accueillante mais pour le reste c'est pas terrible !!! Tout est vieillot,( bugalow, frigo, bouilloire, draps, rideaux, serviettes de bain, matelas dur( horrible) etc...sans compter les pauvres chiens érants qui cherchent désespérément de la nourriture.

Nous avions peur d'être dans un bungalow de moyenne qualité, ça a été tout l'inverse, ben galop très calme bien conçu climatisés avec une vue magnifique sur la mèr et les vagues qui viennent casser sur les rochers

Wunderschöne Bungalows in toller Lage

Diese Unterkunft hat mir bei unserem 3-wöchigen Thailandaufenthalt am besten gefallen! Obwohl wir sehr spät dran waren mit der Zimmerbuchung, nämlich erst 2 Tage vor der Fullmoon-Party und Haad Rin bereits zu 95 % ausgebucht war, haben wir diesen wunderschönen Bungalow sehr günstig bekommen. Die Preise sind vergleichsweise sehr hoch in Haad Rin im Zeitraum der Fullmoon-Party. Wir haben einen frisch renovierten liebevoll eingerichteten Bungalow bekommen, der Besitzer sagte uns er hat uns seinen schönsten Bungalow gegeben und das für 30 €/Nacht. Das war wirklich das beste Preis- Leistungsverhältnis, das wir in Thailand bekommen haben. Eine riesige Terrasse mit Blick auf die Bucht von Haad Rin. Ein schönes Badezimmer mit Stein und ein gemütliches Bett, ebenfalls mit Blick auf die Bucht von Haad Rin. Die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Ich würde sehr gerne wieder kommen und kann es nur bestens weiterempfehlen! Man kann den Hafen in 5 Gehminuten erreichen sowie zahlreiche Restaurants, Shops, Bars und auch den Strand (der Strand, wo die Fullmoon Party stattfindet!). Alles innerhalb von 5 Gehminuten erreichbar
