The location is excellent, with all the main attractions within walking distance—and to top it off, the beach is just around the corner.

It's all good but the room is too small for us.

On a quiet street, walking distance to major attractions and the sea broadwalk. Reasonably priced. Its an old boutique hotel, rooms are small but clean, staff is friendly, decent breakfast custom omlets and coffees. We used card to keep ac running during our stay.

The pics look good… but the fitout is 10 yrs old.., everything is wonky wobbly… they moved me to another hotel on first night because there was an electyproblen… then I checked in and discovered the problems… I requested a refund and they agreed but haven’t done it yet….,disaster!

Beautiful hotel with a very authentic touch.

I missed my flight to Minsk and had to stay overnight at Istanbul. I booked this hotel last minute from the airport without much research and never regretted. They made me feel very welcome even though I was a solo traveller, signed me up for an awesome dinner on a boat (I definitely needed it after two flights). Next day I was able to walk around the city for a little bit because the hotel is 7 mins walking distance from the Blue Mosque. The breakfast at the hotel was absolutely delicious. The rooms are very clean and you feel like a royalty staying at this hotel. Highly recommend.

Very Nice

Nice place to stay while in Istanbul. Very close to the boardwalk outside the busy city, on a quiet street. Close enough to walk to absolutely everything and far enough away to escape the chaos that is Istanbul. Really enjoyed the breakfast and the tea and coffee, lots of recommendations on places and things to see. The one thing is the rooms are small, but there is a closet to put stuff, and they are cozy.

Great little hotel in the heart of Istanbul, all within a walking distance. Fantastic service, we even had breakfast included in the price. Room was bit smaller than expected btu all basic ameneties worked. Call the hotel direct for a better deal.

Lovely little hotel in the heart of the old town

The over-the-top opulence of the hotel is very much a matter of taste - we thought it a perfect fit for the old town! A little worn at the edges, but it's a lovely place, with very helpful and attentive staff and a massive breakfast

I was good experience. I feel as I am at home.every morning I had a good breakfast. At from desk guys were helpful and they gave me some good advises. Some tips. Never-never take a transportation from hotel. Only Take a yellow taxi.

Location is great and reception staff very friendly

We enjoyed the hotel and staff very much. If you want a boutique hotel that is designed in the Turkish style, you’ll love it. Orhan was top notch and helped us around the hotel, talking about the city, and is connected throughout the city. The hotel also coordinated our round trip airport transfers.

The room was so small. The front desk wanted more money. The design was not comfortable. Location was good but we will not stay there again.

The location in Istanbul was unbeatable. Truly amazing; however, the hotel was average. It wasn’t as clean as I would have liked and it was a bit dated. Also, we were placed in the bottom section of rooms which only had a very small window, so no sunlight. Also, during the night there were kids playing until 2am which kept us awake. It was a bit frustrating. Lastly, the breakfast was good and the staff were awesome.

The staffs there are nice and helpful. They helped me to book different tours and activists around Istanbul. They also helped me to arrange transportation to the airport. The room is nice and elegant. The location is quite convenient and walkable to some of the major tourist attractions in Istanbul.

Good and warm services from the staff. They helped me book different tours and events. Also, they assisted me to travel around Istanbul and the whole Turkiye. The room’s decoration is nice and elongate. The location of the hotel is quite near the plaza containing the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.

The location was perfect about 10mins walk max from the blue mosque, topkapi palace n Hagia sofia 5mins away from Arasta Bazar. Lots of places to eat out. The rooms were very differently decorated ottoman style. The staff Emre, Orhan and Hurside were totally amazing. They were amazing, nothing was too much for them.

The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was a good one. The Buffay breakfast was a lot of fun specially, for the kids they get to order their own kind of omelette It’s a small boutique hotel with a very traditional feel. It is close to everything. I love the old style roads leading up to the hotel.

We had the most wonderful time at the hotel. Each one in their staff were very attentive and they made me feel welcomed at the hotel. They were warm and friendly and they were always ready to assist with guidance and suggestions to visit the best sites and restaurants in town. I recommend this place highly as it is safe, it is clean, and super close to historic sites. The staff made me feel like I was part of their family.Their hospitality went above and beyond my expectations making my trip to Turkey a great and enjoyable adventure. Charming hotel with wonderful staff

We stayed at the Sultan Tughra Hotel for 5 nights. The hotel staff are very helpful and the service is amazing. When we are back the manager Yildiz often serves us hot tea. Yildiz has done the above and beyond to help out when I need some help with the Turkish Airline. I will definitely stay in this charming, old-world mansion again. Anne

Highly recommend

The staff on daily shift is very very friendly and welcoming, always willing to help and give advice on our travel plan. Made coffee and cake upon arrival. The rooms are geogerious though amenity a bit worn out. We really enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend

The photos on the Expedia site and Google are misleading, the rooms are so small two people struggle to fit in the room the room they gave us was underground with no windows no fresh air and the hotel had a very bad odour all around the bathroom facilities are disgusting and no employee speaks english so communication is impossible. I had booked for 4 nights and literally 5 minutes after check in had to leave the property it’s not fit to be a hotel and trying to get a refund you get sent from the hotel to Expedia and back 100 times and the hotel refuses to give the money back even though we were there for 5 minutes.Please think very carefully about wasting your money in this hotel the condition is very very poor and you will regret it.

The staff at Sultan Tughra went above and beyond during our stay to make us feel comfortable in Istanbul. We had to check out early for our flight to Kayseri and they arranged breakfast for us at 5 am. We have never experienced such kind of service before. Thank you.

A wonderful place to stay in ☺️

The staff of this property is most hospitable and welcoming. We have enjoyed the stay. The room are much smaller than they appear in pictures but cozily accommodated 2-persons per bed. This is a "boutique" hotel as they describe it. Breakfast is served daily. The location is perfect wand walkable to the historic sites, with many dining options within a walking distance. We had an issue that A/C was not available for the duration of our 2-weeks stay, we think that they should have compensated the guest for the missing A/C, but other than this isuue, the stay was pleasant.

It’s a hotel that is made to feel like the Ottomans. It’s not a ritz Carleton but it’s not trying to be. It’s staff are very very helpful and get to know you and try and give you tips. The breakfast is good and you can get coffee or tea any time of day or night. I would highly recommend. If you are here, you are within walking distance to every major site.

This hotel was neat and clean located in a convenient location. There's a sweet helpful lady "Yildiz" who's very cooperative and accommodating person. Very very helpful and would explain anything you would ask in English.

Manager off the hotel was very polite and helpful with oll the request, always asking if everything was ok and if is posebel to duing better. I have stay for 4 days the hotel is on the quiet and very clean was a lovely experience i will stay with pleasure for next holiday i recommend

A nice and cozy place

The staff were very helpful. The location is alright. The room was clean. The only disadvantage was that we were able to hear people talking in the lobby even on the floor above. I believe it was a good stay for the price.

Staff were good and welcoming, Apart from that the carpet unpleasant with stains, air con was not working, the room was very small, staff kindly moved me to another room next day. I was surprised I got charged £8 for the bar while I only used it for drinking water that was available in fridge only.

Pleasant stay

The room was very clean. Staff very helpful. Pleasant place and nice breakfast. I didn't find anything wrong with the place.

The reception guy was nice and friendly even gave us upgraded room to suite for free! But the hotel wasn’t how we expected to be. No room service u have to walk for a restaurant. No tissues for room. No iron for clothing. Heaters smell horrible like rotten food! No wall outlets near bed to charge phone etc. the room was so tight u can’t even walk around the bed! no parking. I dunno how the rate of the hotel is good maybe cause it’s close for all the historical places. I didn’t even stayed there i just left with no refund and booked other hotel! I recommend for everyone GLK premier suites and spa!

I had a great time here. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from all the main tourist attractions such as the Blue Mosque etc. The hotel manager, Mert is very welcoming and helpful. He can provide tips and directions for all of Istanbul. The rooms are so beautiful, with a uniquely Turkish design and a modern bathroom. Whilst checking in, Mert was kind enough to bring a complimentary drink up to my room and made sure I had no problems with the room. Everything was clean, the wifi works quite well and I had no complaints. I had to leave quite early on my last day to catch my flight. Breakfast usually starts at 8AM but Mert happily arranged breakfast to start one hour earlier for me! Breakfast included juice, tea, coffee, pastries, cereal, bread with cheese and meats and also omelettes on request. I highly recommend this hotel . The location is very convenient for sightseeing and also not far from other parts of Istanbul such as Taksim. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and made my stay very memorable.

Beautiful property in a very close area to all of the sights you would want to see. The square, blue mosque etc..... Staff are very attentive and can’t do enough for you. We had a lovey upgrade to a fab room right at the top with a bubbly bath (even tho we didn’t use as only 1 night here). Bed is very comfortable with classic and lovey furnishings. Mini bar should you want and tv. Great hotel for a few days stay in a fabulous city. Thank you for a lovely stay and will defo be back.

It is very close of all the ottoman sites. You can visit all of them saving time and taxis

Location is great that all about this Sultan Tughra Hotel. The property is very old smells moldy. Manger, Mert KILIÇÖZ was very difficult to relocate me to another room due to my Asthmatic Bronchitis issues. WiFi signal was poor. Teşekkür Ederim

The hotel is small and has a nice turlish athmosphere. Some rooms are very small, but the use of many mirrors makes it feel less crampy. Location is very good at just minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and many restaurants.

Hospitality At Its Best At Hotel Sultan Tugrah.

We had a great time staying at hotel Sultan Tugrah.The place is clean ,the staff is very helpful and polite. All the sight seeing is easily reachable walking ,and the bus,tram and the boat trips all near by.If you have mobility issues it is a little difficult on the cobble stones,taxis are reasonable.Lots of choices for eatting, big portions. On the whole a very friendly place.

Terrible experience. Claustrophobic place. Deceptive photos. We booked a Family room that was not given to us on arrival. Instead we were moved into very small rooms on two levels i.e. at ground floor and first floor of the hotel and was advised that kids can stay on ground floor room. Never experienced such thing from any hotel EVER. No satisfactory explanation given. Continued noise all night from outside hotel, couldn't sleep.

Nice place

The rooms were clean and well decorated. It’s close to the Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque. Easy access to many shops and restaurants in Sultanahmet. The staff was terrific and very helpful.

Sultan Tughra Hotel

Hotel Sultan Tughra is located in sultan ahmet with 5 minutes walk to blue mosque and hagia sofia. The rooms are small but you cannot find a big rooms hotel in such vicinity. The hotel Manager Mr. Mert is very helpfull and very kind in arranging tour and guiding about the visits. 5 stars to Mr. Mert for his help at every stage.

This hotel was not how they showed in pictures. We got their Jacuzi suite and it was way below 4 star hotel standards. 1) There were mosquitoes flying in the room. 2) Noise of passing by vehicles, kids playing & people selling random stuff was coming from the street even when all windows were closed. 3) Toilet flush noise was coming as well even when we didn't use the bathroom. 4) AC did not cool the room at alllll 5) Couldn't black out the windows. You would literally wake up with sun due to the day light in the room. 6) Could not sleep properly. 7) Cheap interior, only looks better in pictures. 8) We booked it for 3 nights but have to change the hotel immediately due to the above issues. Lost all our money and paid extra for the other hotel. I understand I made the non-refundable reservation but I should still get my money back since the hotel was way below 4 star standards which I made the reservation for, but both hotel managment and Expedia denied to pay me back. 9) Their night receptionist said all hotels in this neighborhood will have above issues but the second hotel that we got was a few blocks away from this one and didn't have any issues plus it was cheaper.

Perfect for your Istanbul sightseeing

Fabulous tiny hotel in Sultanahmet near the main sights. Awesome breakfast including freshly made omelettes. Fun decor. The staff, especially Mert, was extremely friendly and helpful.

Good hotel in a good location for the major sights

This is a budget hotel so we weren't expecting five star luxury and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the place. The rooms are a bit cramped but very comfortable and the showers are excellent. The cleanliness cannot be criticised and they would change the sheets every day if you let them! The staff are very welcoming and helpful and the breakfasts are perfectly adequate and tasty (as well as the cold selection on offer there is a small hot selection and he will cook you an omelette if you wish). At times, the street outside our window could be a little noisy but there is not much the hotel can do about that and the location is very good for getting on foot to the Aya Sofia, Topkapi, Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. For locations further afield, reception can order you a taxi (which at very good value) if you wish. I would certainly recommend this hotel..

dirty small room rude staff

Arrived and entered an extremely small room with a filthy shower although ordered a delux room. Talked with the reception that explained that the pictures and descriptions on Expedia are oppcianl and not correct and that I should see the description of the delux room on booking although I ordered here...asked Expedia to help but the money for two rooms 4 nights were already transferred to the hotel. As punishment fro calling Expedia the rooms were not cleaned people were smoking in the hall and the ac didn't work. Awful experience.

Terrible experience. Dirty rooms,rude hotel staff

We rented two delux rooms for 4 nights. One room was as promised the other was much smaller no bathtubs which was promised and very noisy. People smoke in the hotel and the brackfast was horrible . We complained and was told every day that tomorrow we will be able to move to a new room. We calledexpedia to change hotel but was told the hotel cashed out money and there is nothing they can do. After the complain the hotel stopped cleaning our rooms and stop even putting soap in the rooms. Highly recommend to stay anywhere else

Living in a historical artwork.

The hotel looks unique externally and internally. The room is nicely dicorated and furnished and cleaned daily. The toilet provided with shower and hottup with quality shampoo and conditioner and body lotion. Widerange of choices for breakfast with an open buffet with an offer for cooking omelette.

Good Hotel close to Main Attractions

Hotel staff friendly always helpful and polite. Breakfast buffet very good. Locals very reserved but 1/4 mile up the road towards the blue mosque the place comes alive with bazaars and street vendors. When shopping beware the price will always be double so be prepared to barter. Full on experience nice holiday would visit again.

1. Tacky interior, smells of mould. 2. Very small rooms. 3. Photographs very misleading. 4. Very cold, and unhelpful attitude of the manager Mark, behaved as if he was doing a favor even on small things asked. 5. breakfast very average. 6. Area very inaccessible. 7. nothing in this hotel is 4 star or 3 star standards. the building very old, interiors tacky wall papers, area very shoddy, 8. Five stars in Takism and Galata cheaper than this, with better breakfast, friendleir staff and higher amenities. will never want to go back here because of the attitude of the manager Mark. The most awful customer service i experienced. :( when the checkout time is 12. they ask you to checkout at 11:45. Wouldnt expect this from a five star hotel. Call it a 3-4 star hotel is insulting good hotels even without any stars.
