Went to San Antonio for a football game and the stay was awesome, the staff was friendly and even gave us some great places to eat… will rebook soon

Loved the location and cleanliness of the room

It was just ok. The bathroom did smell like mold. It made our stay comfortable and there was breakfast provided. Make sure to go early because they will run out if the hot breakfast.

Hotel was very clean and breakfast was good. Staff were very polite and friendly.

The entire staff throughout the stay were polite and accommodating. The breakfast was better than expected considering the other reviews. The sitting areas were very comforting. I had everything I needed and would stay again if in the area.

Great stay

I really like this property. Of course, it has all the basics down pat: It is clean, quiet, safe, convenient. The water is hot, the a/c is cool. The bed is comfy. The linens are clean white and fluffy. The breakfast was better than most! I love the covered parking for no additional charge. The only negative was the closet was poorly arranged. As long as the price stays affordable, this will be my new home in San Antonio.

The only thing we didn't like was that there is no room service on weekends. Found the room was not serviced the night before and it was dirty with glasses and bottles.

The stay was horrible I would not recommend any one to stay here. The carpets need to be shampooed. I had to purchase my own vacuum because the hotel host would not send anyone to do this for me. The place had a terrible smell. I always enjoyed the staying at Staybridge but this one by far was the worst. This hotel is not a 3 or 4 star its more 2 star. I feel like I was ripped off with the amount of money I paid for staying here it was dirty and nasty. The staff was not helpful whatsoever. I am very disappointed with my stay. The Wi-Fi was no use we couldn't even connect. The place was very outdated. Most channels were auto only so you couldn't watch a movie. My son was bite up from bugs. This place needs serious upgrades or lower the price and tell people what's really going on here. Close it down until it has a proper inspection!!

Nice parking, and nice perks for meals mid week.

Our initial part of the stay left a lot to be desired. Long story short, there were many issues with our room with missing items, worn features, etc. I talked to the very sweet front desk lady and she did what she could on a weekend evening. The next day, many things remained unresolved. I decided to write the manager whose name was provided and explain our situation. By Monday morning, she was on it. Compensation was made in a number of ways, including providing the majority of what the room was missing. A housekeeping crew was even sent later in the day to see if we needed anything. This speaks volumes for the management, and I must mention that every staff member encountered was very friendly and kind. This is not always the case these days! Beyond the room, the facilities were nice. The fitness room had adequate equipment, breakfast was nice (although the dining area was hot), the pool appeared nice, and the parking garage was so nice to have to keep the car out of the sun. Other family staying had better experiences - their rooms were fully fitted and fine. Again, I have to highly commend Jen the manager and her staff for doing all they could to rectify the unfortunate situation. This Staybridge is very conveniently located for hospital purposes, the airport, and in general for the Stone Oak area. I would stay here again if the need arose.

Worst stay

Spectrum had an outage but once back up and running my TV was still not working . I made several attempts to get assistance but no one wanted to look into it. They kept blaming outage but all the other guests tvs were working so i just gave up. Tried to warm up my food and microwave was also not working. Sheets also had a stale odor to them. Worst possible stay.

I always stay at Staybridge when I travel but it’s the first time staying at the one in San Antonio this one in particular is a little dated but still good , I needed an extra blanket and they didn’t have any , still enjoyed my stay got a good rest ,

Decent place!

We checked in on Thursday and out on Friday. Our stay was pretty good only a few complaints - #1, pool was closed and there was no notice for this online or posted inside (we booked due to pool for the kids). We were dressed and went down to swim and opened the door and pool was nasty green and said out of order. We got a two bedroom suite and it was spacious and comfy! Cleaning lacked quite a bit. Beds were okay. We found left over food in fridge, a hairbrush with nasty hair in a drawer, and a Target receipt in the cushion. There were some (possibly chocolate) stains on the side of the bed (mattress, floor) Hotel staff were friendly! Had a little market to get snacks/drinks. Breakfast was put away at 8:50 when it said till 9:30… so we went somewhere to eat.

The rooms were spacious. Things were not taken care of, such as lights in the shower.

Breakfast was scrambled eggs with bits of hard stuff (not sure what it was) in them, burnt pieces; French toast was overdone, could not cut with a fork; the potatoes were undercooked. This was an issue on all three mornings we were there. The front desk staff insisted we pay the pet fee “in cash” and they were very reluctant to give a receipt for this - said they always collect this in cash with no receipt - we requested a receipt be typed on letterhead and given to us which it was done with great hesitancy.

Mediocre stay.

Bathroom sink was clogged before we used it. Front desk was informed 3 times and it never got fixed. Common areas of hotel like halls are not very clean. Carpets are dirty and stained all over. Breakfast food is not very good.

The staff was great, however we had some bugs in our first room. I took some pictures and showed them to the front desk who gave us another room immediately. That's not a great way to start out a stay at a hotel because you feel like if bugs are in one room they are probably in another. But we didn't have any problems in the new room. Both rooms however were in desperate need of replacing all furnishings, needed paint and repair jobs and just needed a general refreshing of the property. I did love the parking garage and security for the parking areas. Again the staff was great when I had issues they were addressed, but I wouldn't stay here again until they redo the room furnishings.

Never ever again! The room we had booked “wasn’t available “ The room they put us in was musty it smelled terrible and the bathroom needs a good cleaning. The tub and shower curtain was stained. Sadly because we were there for a medical procedure and many other people were there for the eclipse, we paid 4x more than the regular price. The young lady at the front desk was less than pleasant, but I hope it was only because they were busy.

We needed a more centrally located hotel for our trip, and this fit the bill nicely! It was easy to get to downtown or the local amusement parks. Grocery stores and restaurants were nearby. The suite was clean. We has everything we needed for our stay!

Friendly staff! The rooms are clean. Free breakfast had a variety of options. Secure parking! I was very happy with this hotel. Close to Mellow Mushroom and a fantastic Colombian restaurant as well as grocery stores; easy access to 1604 and 281!

Everything was very clean all the staff was very friendly, we didn’t have any problems. The only thing was there was 3 towels in the room when we got there when we were a family of 5 but we just asked for more towels and they were provided. We will definitely be staying here again.

In town for Family Event

The staff was great. The property overall is very comfortable & well taken care of. The property has secured parking for your vehicle which is amazing and not seen at many properties. The beds are very uncomfortable. That’s probably the only complaint I had. We had 3 suites for a family event in town. The overall comfort was good.

Staff was really responsive. Building is showing a bit of wear. Furniture in living room of suite was very worn but everything worked and was comfortable enough.

The location is great and for the price offered it was a good deal for the space and type of room!

Pick another hotel

We had called 2 days before our trip to let the hotel know we would be checking in late as our flight did not land until 12:30 am. We had booked a room that contained 2 separate sleeping areas. We got there and when we entered the room there was only one bed and no other area. We went to the front desk, was given a second key to another room for my son who is a minor. Their solution was to place us in separate rooms, not even adjoining rooms. The room was not clean. I was stepping on things that were left on the floor, the bathroom was nothing I wanted to use, there was some kind of stain/substance left on the night stand, curtains were falling down, and the light looked like it could fall from the ceiling at any time. The pictures online were NOT what it was in person! SIDE NOTE, Hotels.com were amazing and helped us switch hotels. We were able to actually speak to someone at 3:00am and had everything worked out by 4:30am. Thanks to Hotels.com our holiday was saved

Super quiet and good facilities and clean

The trash bin on the floor made the entire floor smell unpleasant. The rooms are halfway clean. There was dust on the furniture and the fridge had spills that weren’t cleaned up. Breakfast was mediocre.

This hotel is a bit beat up. Rooms are average.

This is my fourth time staying at Staybridge, and probably the last. The room had it's bathroom sink clogged and cannot be used until the morning of our first night. The bathroom wasn't obviously cleaned before we checked in, it took them 24 hours to send someone to clean the bathtub so we can use it. The front desk is not able to help and the property is understaffed

Exceptional Customer Service

Friendly staff from check in, housekeeping to maintenance. We booked this hotel for a soccer tournament in the area. After an unexpected game schedule change, we arrived at the hotel well before check-in time. The front desk representative made arrangements to accommodate us and allowed an early check-in. We were provided an available room that unfortunately had an AC mishap. Housekeeping and maintenance were dispatched to the room and found that the issue was not going to be quickly resolved. We were then escorted to another room where the AC was already on and cooled the room for us. The staff acted on this mishap quickly and with courtesy- which was very much appreciated. The rooms were comfortable, clean, spacious and suited us well. The day of checkout, we needed ice for our coolers. A staff member by the name of Daniel went above a beyond to help us fill our ice chest to ensure our players were taken care of! (It’s the little things that matter most.) We travel to San Antonio frequently for soccer and will most definitely book this hotel going forward, solely based on the exceptional customer service we received from arrival to departure. Additional plus: -Washer and dryer available for guest. - Breakfast did not disappoint. -Plenty of common areas for downtime. - The hotel offers “happy hour” in the evenings as well!

Nice clean a few spots that needed repairs in the bathroom. Beds fairly comfy. Breakfast was ok.

I had great experience here would stay here again

The hotel appears very nice from the outside and upon entering into the lobby. But as we entered our room (506), it had an unclean smell. It is a 2 bedroom suite and I noticed that the rooms were not as clean as they should be. There were crumbs on the sofa bed upon removing the cushions. The bathroom sinks had gunk/dirt buildup behind the faucets. The door to the bedroom on the left seemed to have been damaged and was repaired and painted over in a very sloppy manner. The nightstand on the left side of the bed had a dwar that would not stay closed. It would slowly slide back out and stay that way. The shower curtain in that room was dirty and there was hair in the tub and shower walls. As for the bed linens, ill just say that they appeared clean but they had a bad body odor smell to them. Overall, I was expecting better. Especially for the price and the competitive hotels around the area. I will more than likely opt for another hotel next time

The room was lovely and clean, the only thing that let it down was the shower wasn’t very good. Great breakfast. The only issue we has was that there were lots of dinning options however they were mainly on the other side of the highway and the hotels local bus only runs until 5pm so you need to have a car or call an Uber every time you want to go out for dinner. All in all a great hotel

Even though I asked for a non smoking room, the room smelled of cigarette smoke. Also, while walking in socks in the room, they collected what looked like pet fur. It was pretty gross to be honest.

Always a pleasure to stay here and have never had a problem. Only concern was breakfast needs some work. Keep it simple on the hot foods. Some of us only stay one night and I have no idea what they serve for breakfast on Saturday morning 4/8/2023. It had a piece of hotdog and topped off with Chile with beans. Not a good choice for breakfast.

The sofa bed was dirty, the hallway smelled like marijuana, the access door hit my car and scratched it, the bathroom was dirty and we found some dirty socks behind the door.

Staff was very helpful, they were able to accommodate an early check-in for our family. The room was very clean and the hotel was kept very clean. We will definitely be staying at this hotel in the future.

They didn’t have our room we booked. They gave us a diff room and it wasn’t even cleaned or ready. Our check in time took us almost an hour of them trying to figure it out.

I was disappointed with this hotel to say the least. The good was the staff was friendly. No issue there. The issues for me where- The small parking garage trash can was overflowing with garbage as you walked past it into the hotel. Both days. Note- This is an older hotel. There were no USB plug ins in the room to charge a phone or other electronics. The bed was HORRIBLE. Hard, worn out and just the worst I've had in a long time. My back hurt the next day after a poor nights sleep. The breakfast buffet was also minimal and the food quality was not good at all.

It was a good stay at a nice place that was convenient to anything I might want.

FABULOUS - More amenities than I was expecting!

Fabulous stay! We were informed at check in that they may have issues with boiler and hot water and offered to cancel reservation. SO GLAD I STAYED! Room was way more for the price than I expected - couldn’t find a comparable room in same price range anywhere. It was actually like an apartment with a kitchen (fully stocked with cooking and service ware and a dishwasher!), 2 bedrooms AND 2 bathrooms! Despite boiler warning, we had plenty of hot water! Supplied body wash, shampoo and conditioner in bottles big enough that it serviced the whole family. Beautiful pool with large patio seating. Staff was great! Central to everywhere we were going.

Overall room was nice and clean the bathroom shower soaps were empty, breakfast was not all that not many options at all the server at the buffet was very slow there was consistently a line waiting for breakfast she would refill slowly then it was gone by 2-3 servings, sausage was burnt the juice was watered down besides the breakfast the front desk staff was extremely nice and friendly the overall stay was pleasing Room was very clean

Overbooked - A/C made floor wet

They didn't have our and were overbooked. We had to wait until they figure this out and said this is because of third party booking and they overbook without our knowledge that does n;t make any sense.

I didn't like that check in time was 3:00, and I arrived @ 4:30 and still had to wait 2 hrs for a room. That's my only complaint after traveling for 4.5 hrs.

Older hotel

The hotel is an older hotel. The couch had a hole in the arm rest. The tub had what looked like white grout that spilled in it and stained it. The housekeeping is limited service. Every day they would take our dirty towels and washcloths but would only leave one clean washcloth for us. The staff is friendly and nice. Great area with lots of restaurants near by.

Terrible Hotel. Room was very dirty and smelled horrible. Feces all around rim of toilet. Woman’s fingernail in the made bed. Beds are springy and old. Wifi had a terrible signal, you could connect but signal was not strong enough to use on any device and you know how that is when you have kids. No wifi all weekend. Even after reporting to staff nothing was done about anything. For the price of the room you expect better. Motel 6 would have been a better stay. Do not stay here

Loved my room.

To start off there was dog hair on the couch in the room.. asked them to clean it and they gave us an excuse about why it wasn’t clean in the first place and why they hadn’t cleaned it after we told them too. Then they charged me $500 immediately after swiping my card and was not supposed to.. went back and forth about the room and my money for about an hour and Expedia didn’t help either. Definitely calling corporate. Do NOT stay here at all.. it’s not Excellent as described at all!! Facts!!

Okay, but nothing to write home about

We paid for a queen sized bed but were giving a double. The bed linens were too hot. The room was small and the TV was small and not placed for easy viewing.

Front Desk staff was very nice, room was very dirty. Lotion in bathroom was 3/4 used, mold on wall, the pull out sofa bed was so dirty (pictures attached) Red soda stains all of the floor.
