Most amazing very quite very private place just what we like. Views are out of this world. Less hassle and fewer tourists than other two villages. Staff friendliness is amazing. Breakfast is 5 out of 5 and dinner options also very good. Every meal we had on our private terrace with view from heaven. Had one hell of a wonderful time. Will come back if we come to this region again.
Beautiful room fantastic service. Would highly recommend
Anna did a great job. She is wonderful
My family and I stayed at the property for 3 days. When we booked our room, we mainly booked it because of the 3 hot tubs being private for us, as well as a private backyard. Once we arrived to the villa, there was someone in the hot tub we thought we had for ourselves. Which wasn’t the case, we only had one hot tub for ourselves. As well as other rooms next to us which we thought it was a whole private area for us. The kitchen was also right next to our room so employees would walk around our “private” area. The descriptions were a little misleading when booking the room. The view was beautiful but the area outside the villa wasn’t the best. Overall we were just there for the view.
Great stay at the Crypt room for 4 nights. Breakfast was delicious and lots of options. The staff was wonderful and available in person or via cellphone easily to answer any questions or book shuttles etc. I would easily stay here again for a luxury get away.
I recently stayed at the Sophia luxury suitesl, and it was a delightful service from start to finish. I would not suggest this hotel for disabled or physically impaired people as the hike to the room is an exercise in itself. What annoyed me is that neither Expedia nor the hotel mentioned that this is not suitable for people with disabilities which is a Legal requirement in the United States Upon arrival, the friendly staff greeted us with warm smiles and provided quick check-in assistance. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking ocean view. Each morning, we woke up to the sound of waves crashing and stunning sunrises that painted the sky in brilliant colors. The balcony was a perfect spot to enjoy coffee while soaking in the scenery. Just didn’t realize that it was a shared space with two other room. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, featuring modern amenities that made our stay comfortable. The hotel also offered a plunge pool area overlooking the ocean, which was a great place to relax and unwind. Dining at the hotel’s restaurant was complicated but the staff was very very attentive and had great communication via WhatsApp. The service was prompt and attentive, enhancing our dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend the Sophia Luxury Hotel for anyone looking for a serene getaway with stunning views and excellent service. However if you have physical disabilities, go elsewhere. The staff is amazing
The hotel location was great. We really enjoyed our time there.
The view is beautiful
The most obvious is the unreal views that this property offers. Best sunset views compared to anywhere else on the island. Really loved the decor of the Enigma suite. We were there in July so it was extremely hot and I loved the cool interior due to it being inside a cave. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. In general nothing but great hospitality around the island. I will definitely stay at this property again.
Not Amazing
Staff and Service and Location are all Amazing. What wasn’t amazing was having the kitchen and housekeeping areas sharing the patio with our room. It broke the spell of the beautiful setting with people noise and smells we didn’t need. Avoid rooms 101, 102, 103.
This property is the place to go for a special occasion. It is safe for solo travel. The beautiful views from this property are amazing. I expected to wait until check-in, but the room was ready and they allowed me to go in super early. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and to have an enjoyable stay. I highly recommend Sophia Luxury Suites for your Santorini stay.
Beautiful views. However, too many steps if rooms are located below upper suite and no restaurant on premise. Room service available. Very nice breakfast options.
Honestly, it was so bad we lasted one night. Best way I can describe this hotel is camping in a RV for $600/per night. We will never come back to this place and do not book this place. It’s not worth it at all. It’s gross dusty so small can’t even put your luggage down. Also, the toilet doesn’t have a door. The shower you can barely turn around in and I’m 5’3. You know the feeling of when you shower when you go camping you don’t feel completely clean this is exactly how I felt here. We checked in around 4pm and we left by 8am the following morning. Also, lots of false advertisement on amenities and they claim private this private that and then you show up and that’s not it at all. Would not recommend at all. Do not come here. Also, the toiletries isn’t changed after each guest. It’s like a communal
We had booked a 2-night stay, but due to my husband's cardiac condition, we could only stay one night as it was difficult for him to move around in the area. We informed the staff of our situation at check-in. Despite this, the hotel refused to refund us for the second night. I would never go there again. you can never trust this hotel.
I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. From day one they were so welcoming and helpful. They offered wonderful breakfast every morning, with a great array of options and also made me a to-go breakfast early in the morning before I headed off on an excursion. If you like being active, it’s a great walking distance (30/40min) to Fira, the hub of the city, and just off the hiking path to Oia. Beautiful terrace and nearby restaurants if you prefer to stay close and just enjoy the view. Thank you so much Sophia Luxury Suites for making this a lovely first trip to Santorini!
Amazing location and great service.
Great place. Alex, Max, and Cristina where awesome. Would recommend Sophia to anyone who wants great service, beautiful views, and awesome Villas.
Beautiful experience!! Very good & helpful staff! Beautiful view!! Lovely best breakfast
Beautiful resort very good experience!! Very nice staff very helpful & quick service Best experience
This was a great property and the service was incredible. I definitely recommend it
Everything was perfect The staff the view the property Thank you for everything
Like the surrounding hotels, the steps/stairs are not for the faint of heart. The view of the caldera is AMAZING. The staff is AMAZING. The included breakfast was always brought to our room fresh and hot. This is the hotel dreams are made of!
The room had a constant banging noise prohibitig us to sleep. I recorded it but they would not credit us after sharing video. Don’t book through expedia.
This place was perfect for our family. The staff are very friendly and accommodated us very well when we needed extra beds (even included a free dinner for the inconvenience). The hotel dealt with all of our transportation and the free breakfast was wonderful. Absolutely beautiful view and perfect for families looking to relax and sit out in the sun. Also very good for sunset and sunrise if anyone is concerned. Would definitely recommend again!
Alexandra is the best hostess ever. She is absolutely committed to make the guests welcome and always tries to provide the best service possible. She always has a smile in her face. The view of the rooms is to die for. Very few hotels in the world can provide you with such a dramatic location. One of the best experiences in our life!
Incredible views!! The room was unbelievable. I want to stay there next time I go.
The location of the property is awesome. The view from the front of the room is breathtaking. Sunsets here are incredible. To try to get there with your luggage is VERY tricky. Alot of steps, rocks and very steep. No signs, you can get lost very quickly. Once you get to the room though, which is a small house, you’ll love it. It’s very cute. The bathroom though is in desperate need of repairs and remodeling, old, outdated, there’s no shower head, so it’s very difficult to shower. To me the views compensated everything!!
We arrived to this property on our honeymoon for three nights. The staff greeted us and showed us to our room, which was VERY tiny. Bathroom did not have a door, only a curtain in the unit that we had. There was a screened opening (could not be closed) in the toilet area that was directly connected to the neighbours pool, which allowed zero privacy and kept us up most of the night. We asked for a refund for the next two nights but they denied us and told us we can be moved on the third night only. Thankfully we were able to have a normal hotel room with privacy for our final night. Be aware that breakfast was also late every morning and freezing cold. This experience gets a 3 star because of the views and the third night stay only.
Great view and confort. People are friendly too. Unique !
Great location, great views, great service, absolutely fantastic hotel!
Nice staff, helpful and friendly. I will definitely recommend others to stay at Sophia’s
Amazing
I’ll give a honest review based on our stay. We were suppose to stay at Sophia luxury suite Fira but the day we landed, we got a message the room is not available so shifted us to a different property, called Sophia oia view. We checked in late, and literally had to carry four suitcases a flight of stairs on our own that too in the rain. Ok! So the view was very nice but no sunset view from the room. The room is located legit on the street where everyone passes by ( no privacy what so ever) definitely NOTTTT a honeymoon place. Outdoor hot plunge pool was not working ( which was a main reason we spent so much money). Had to ask to get breakfast everyday ( SAMEE exact meal every morning). WiFI for the most part was non existent. No reception desk, you have to contact them only through whats app, in return with passive aggressive replies. And be careful, cave is with asymmetric low ceiling and you can bang your head hard. All in all, Housekeeping was great! Had to check out to a different more welcoming resort.
The views were to die for! The staff was so friend.y and helpful ,
Loved our time at Sophia's!
Brilliant place to stay! Amazing views, great facilities, great food and very friendly staff! Would highly recommend.
Awesome place!!! The service is incredible! The view of the Caldera is spectacular!!! The only recommendations is to fix the steps going down to the reception kinda dangerous.
Beautiful hotel! The location was nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We got the room with private indoor and outdoor pool, it was perfect!
Enigma suites aren’t as described
Very misleading photo and description of enigma suites. This was not only a shared terrace between 3 rooms, but it didn’t have anywhere to lie down and was the main walk way from the kitchen and staff toilet so it was very busy and noisy. We booked this last minute and when we arrived and realised it wasn’t what we expected we asked if we could cancel as the room didn’t match it’s description but we weren’t able to, which felt quite unfair. The manager moved us along one room which helped a little (as the first room opened right out onto the kitchen so was very noisy. The staff we’re very kind and friendly though. It was just a disappointment versus the description and photo.
Looked nothing like the pictures online, the room we got was more like a 2 star hotel. We got a $1300 a night Crypt Suite and it was worse than anything I’ve stayed in and I’ve been around the world all over. It was run down, smelled, and old. Only thing was some of the staff and the view, but you can get that anywhere else. We saw much cheaper hotels around the same area with much nicer accommodations, do yourself a favor and don’t get cat fish by the pictures.
the view was breathtaking, the indoor and outdoor pool was fun , and the set up of the room was beautiful
Cheap room—RIPPED OFF!
The room was just awful! Very cheap mattress thrown on the floor (no bed frame) and the bathroom was in the room separated by only a plastic curtain. Additionally, when the windows were closed, the room would start to smell like urine, which I emanated from the toilet. Left the room for another hotel after 1 hour. I was told by the hotel on Friday management was not available to give me a refund but somebody would be in the office on Monday to call me. Nobody called me.
Do not recommend! The good: breakfast is nice and has an amazing view (but all other hotels around have that too) Th bad: 1. our pool (room 207) was dirty - full of yellow/green stuff. We complained on the first day - reception staff look surprised and careless and quickly just said that pool staff will look into it. Nothing happened. Next day we sent an email with pictures of dirt and our coloured swimming outfits - nothing happened, they didn’t even acknowledge the email. At the end of our stay someone from the staff who was passing by said “just bleach it and will be white again”. We didn’t pay this amount per night to be told to bleach our swimming outfits. Shocking. 2. Room service (food/drinks) is very slow (c.1h wait) and mixed our drink orders few times. 3. We asked for recommendation for the best boat trip as the one they offer was booked out - they said that they can’t recommend as we don’t want to book theirs for another day… 4. Decoration and Champagne package they offer for 150EUR - they gave us sparkling wine (costing 9EUR according to google).. not even sure this is legal to sell one product and deliver something else. So overall - very disappointing experience, staff couldn’t be less helpful and careless about the guests and the rooms are not amazing either (not even talking about dirty pool and having to through away our brand new swimming outfits). Highly recommend looking into other hotels around (Tholos, Astra, Kapari) as the location is amazing.
Luxury at its best!
Beautiful views!
THIEF’S, DO NOT STAY OR BOOK THIS PLACE!!!!
Worst experience of my life, I’ve traveled the world over and over and never have been treated so poorly by any establishment. THEY STOLE MONEY AND REFUSED TO REFUND ME. Never stay here, worst customer service ever. I hope they go out of business for being crooks. Extremely unprofessional and of all times during a pandemic and while trying to support businesses that were hit hard they incorrectly charged me over $1,000 and refused to give back.
We spent most of our time in Oia, Santorini (at Sophia View) but wanted to try somewhere different - so happy we decided on coming to Sophia Luxury Suites, which is in a prime location with great views and not much hill climbing. The transfer from another Sophia hotel was also complimentary. The highlight was enjoying the sunset (over Oia from afar) from the comfort of our private area (best sunset we had seen on our whole trip despite braving it out at Oia, and also on a yacht). Don't bother booking dinner, the room service is excellent and you're protected from the wind in your private area. We at out and regretted it. A shoutout to Bianca and Elpidak, the friendly staff at reception who were super friendly and helpful.
We had a great stay thanks to the customer-centric attitude of the management and the staff whom accommodated all and beyond our needs. The property has stunning view over the caldera and we could enjoy the sunset from our private pool. Breakfast was great; the staff did routinely check on us during the day to insure everything was fine. There is countless options of cave boutique hotels in Santorini, the majority of which with comparable properties, features and views over the caldera; differentiation is in the service; in our experience the manager Mr Yaqis and his staff get it right. We feel recommending this hotel and we would consider returning if back in Santorini. (Stayed for 2 nights in Oct 2019 with a party of four).
Beautiful view of sunset at jaccozy. Nice and helpful people. The pool inside cave is very romantic designed, but with a poor workmanship quality. Water can over flow to everywhere and into bedroom. It course the room becomes very humid, even with 2 dehumidifiers running all the time. The night we staying, the jets of the pool is unable to stop. This makes us unable sleep due to the noise. The maintenance people is unable to fix it. Finally, At 2 o’clock after midnight, the night shift manager turned off all system. Also, the sink draining pipe is broken while I try to drain the water from the water bucket of the humidifier and cause water flooding again. I am unable to believe that a soft plastic pipe used for as a drainage pipe I’d sink. What a nightmare.
Nice rooms with amazing views all day long, and great staff.
Best Hotel, Best Views, Best Staff
My wife and I stayed at Sophia Suites for our 1 year anniversary and were blown away by the whole experience! Our room was amazing--it had a jet tub on the balcony and we had an amazing view of the caldera. Anna and Maria were unbelievably helpful in answering my many questions before and during our stay. They were very prompt in responding via email and during our stay, they helped arranged taxis, a massage, and a catamaran ride. We will definitely be coming back! 10/10
View amazing.. Staff amazing.. Food amazing. Interior pictures online are not accurate as far as updates. Room is out of date.
Stayed for a week. The staff could not be more accommodating and you felt a genuine want to help you get the most from your stay. The Suites were perfect. Spacious to be able to feel like you were not trapped in your standard sized rooms, the amenities were impressive too. However, the best thing about the room is the view. The sunsets were beautiful and we got to watch them from our room every night, whether it be with a glass of wine in hand or in or pool...or both!
must stay here for at least one night!
Our stay was amazing; the experience felt like a dream. Maria helped us throughout our stay and booked all of our excursions, made arrangements for our friends on the other side of the island to be picked up, booked our massage and checked in with us to see if there’s anything else we needed.
Honeymoon destination
Our stay at Sophia Luxury Suites was amazing. The view of the caldera was spectacular and great for sunsets. The room was very clean and comfortable. The service was also great, theyrend to your every need and bring your breakfast right to your room. Highly recommended!
Amazing view amazing people. Expect a lot of stairs (it is on the cliff) and rustic decor (the room is dug into the rock). Well worth it!
Spoke to EXPEDIA who we booked through. I specifically kept saying I didn’t want a jacuzzi I wanted the pool outside - even had the man ring Sophia suites to make sure we can get that specific room before I paid out £4600. Guess what? The room looked absolutely disgusting! The floor was filthy grey with sunken dirt marks, the “JACUZZI” was full of dirt, didn’t smell of any chlorine, and to add fuel to the fire, didn’t function properly. The man who brought us to the tiny balcony saw our faces drop. He started smiling as if he knew how many people don’t get what they paid for and he asked us if something was wrong?before even going inside the room we were annoyed and said this is not what we paid for! He then said, don’t you want to see inside the room? He attempted to open the door which was jammed! Another member of staff came to help him and it took two of them to open it!! The handle of the door was falling off, I have pictures, and the attitude of Atis, the manager was condescending, slimy, and full of lies. He’d said that no one rang him about the room, our contract is with Expedia not him, the pool is dirty because the wind blows dirt, the floors are “brushed floors” and that people like that, the door handle he can fix right now, the picture on the website shows what we could have and is repressive of all seven rooms - Aurora cave suites, and then goes on to say “I don’t know what you’re complaining about, a famous footballer used to stay in this particular suite”
Zero Compassion & Not Easy to Deal With
Unfortunately my review is solely based upon dealing with the hotel, and not getting to enjoy this trip. Myself and my wife booked this trip and hotel months ago, as a "bucket list / wish trip". I was diagnosed with aggressive Stage 4 Cancer, and we booked this trip as a once in a lifetime experience with the time I have left. When booking, we also paid extra to be able to cancel the room if needed by a certain date. As luck would have it, I became extremely sick due to my cancer and treatments the day after the cancelation date. After much back and forth with Hotels.com and the hotel itself (on a side note, Hotels.com helped as much as they could)...in any case, Sophia Luxury Suites would not work with us at all. Ideally, we were trying to get a refund of some sort...they were NOT willing to give us "credit" to be used at a later date (which we thought was more than fair). No partial refund, no date change for the trip, no credit, nothing. As I mentioned in my title - ZERO Compassion! I might also add, that all other aspects of the trip - Airfare, Ferry Ride, etc...they all worked with us, and were willing to refund us. It's really a shame that we didn't get enjoy this trip, and unfortunately because of my cancer, I'm on somewhat of a limited budget, and the fact that they wouldn't reimburse the $3,800+ for the hotel room, definitely sets us back on planning or booking another trip. We are not talking about a small amount of $. Book somewhere else - not here!
I loved this hotel. It has a priceless view. The staffs are unbelievably nice. They upgraded my room without me even ask for it only because they wanted to cheer us up since we had a rough day because of ferry delay due to the boat strike. They welcomed us with champagne and fruit plate. They also gave us a very beautiful goodbye gift which included a bar of soap, olive oil, a bracelet, and earring. I highly recommend this place.
Amazing views, very sweet staff, great breakfast in the morning, private balcony, could not ask for more on a Santorini vacation! I would definitely want to come back here!
Perfect stay, wonderful memories
Amazing view, amazing staff and services, perfect breakfast, room was clean and tidy. Many thanks to Giannis the Hercules who helped carrying our luggages all the way. The toilet was inside the cave with the indoor pool so it was pretty humid, but no big deal. Best place to enjoy sunset as the suite is located at the top part of the island. Neighbourhood is quiet, unlike the busy and noisy fira. Great place for honeymooners. There are a few steps from the main square to the hotel, and it is not easy to find the reception. So make sure to contact the hotel before arrival so that they assign a staff to carry your luggages, otherwise it would be a disaster if you take your luggage to your hotel on your own!
Great hotel
Excellent hotel with an amazing view of the scenery! Enjoyed the in room Jacuzzi!
Very nice room. Could have been cleaner. Pool was a little dirty but it is an island it happens with all the wind and dust. Excellent view location service and food. Highly recommended.
Exceptional views, great staff, good location with outstanding restaurants within walking distance.
I visited Santorini first time with my husband, we absolutely loved it. Sophia suites are truly Luxury! Exceptional service given by the staff at Sophia, Nefeli & Niovi made us feel so special! They were always ready to help & made sure all my special requests were met! Big thanks to Stello for helping us with our luggage & for amazing service. The Magic 0 is definitely Magic! The room was so beautiful, a cave with stairs going down & our private pool outside on the terrace! We loved the pool, we would love for it could be more warmer however it was still perfect! Hats of to the team for 5 star service! I would definitely recommend and We are most definitely coming back! Thank YOU! Mr & Mrs Yamin ;)
Santorini sunsets
Amazing.... Is probably the best word to describe our stay in Sophia Suites. We had an Aurora suite which was comfy and spacious, hot tub on the terrace to sit in with a glass of prosecco in hand and watch the sun go down, priceless. Would not be suitable for the less mobile as numerous steps to get down to our suite but once inside you just picked up the phone and everything and everyone came to you. Breakfast on your own terrace freshly cooked and delivered at a time of your choice, what more could you want. Highly recommended
From arrival to departure, our accommodations was fully exceeded. Picked up at the airport (additional fee but worth it, especially when traveling with family) without any issues. Greeted by a nice gentleman who carried our heavy checked in luggage like it was nothing down numerous flights of stairs. Promptly showed our room and all the amenities inside and within the property. All the staff were extremely kind and accommodating. The cleaning woman was the kindest woman we met the entire 3 week trip across Europe. The private indoor pool in the bathroom is a huge benefit and my less than one year old daughter loved playing inside a pool for the first time. Several other outdoor pools were a nice feature to watch the sunset and enjoy the outdoors. I would say the only downside is that having a heated pool in your room makes it really humid and the room does not have air conditioning. Luckily it was cool when we were there but was still crazy humid inside. Small flaw that is overshadowed by the great experience we had. Thanks Sophia Luxury Suites!!
Stunning place
This was amazing, I stayed here for a couple of days, the room, place, and view make a real luxury experience, for anyone who wants to have a blast vacation I really recommend booking this hotel.
Honeymoon Stay a Must!
Absolutely amazing!
View was spectacular from the Aurora Cave room we had. Yes, an actual cave renovated with some of today's conforms. Quaint, private, and comfortable. Staff was wonderful: very attentive and friendly.
This was the absolute best hotel we’ve stayed at. The room was perfect and the view was breathtaking! The staff was respectful of our privacy but very accomadating of whatever we needed or wanted. The breakfast was simply amazing. I can’t say enough how perfect this hotel and staff made our stay in Santorini.
This hotel is so welcoming, cozy and the views are absolutely spectacular. The hotel staff really made our stay so special. They made excellent recommendations for places to visit and great restaurants to eat at. They were attentive to any issues we needed handled, which were very few, and room service was excellent. The food was delicious and every night they baked a yummy sweet cake, which was delivered to our room. Such a nice surprise. The location of this hotel is perfect. It is between Oia and Fira, so you really escape the crowds when the cruise ships come in, but yet, it is so close if you want to go into town and shop and eat. The hotel also booked our rental car for us, excursions and mailed our postcards. They were awesome! When we return to Santorini, we will be staying here again. Thanks Niovi and Katerina and Adonis for making our stay so warm and welcoming and special.
The staff was super friendly on arrival and the service we would request was always prompt and good. My only issue was I booked the Crypt Suite for the private pool but the water was super cold with no way of heating it that it didn’t make the pool enjoyable at all.
Sophia Luxury Suites were beautiful, but overpriced. We enjoyed the amenities, but it did not match up to how much we paid to use them. Also, we were looking for a secluded place and tourist stood in front of our suite right in front of the sunset and the hotel staff was not able to ask them to move. Sill a beautiful space!
Best place to stay in santorini
The place is amazing, great views probably the best onbhhr island it’s very quiet, food from room service was really good, the staff is super nice, the pool was the perfect temperature. If you have the means stay there, and thy gave a great going away thank you gift.
This place was so charming. Each room is unique. We stayed in the Enigma suite and it was perfect for our four night stay. An amazing breakfast is delivered to your room every morning and your personal patio pool is kept at a slightly warm temperature at all times. We loved the location in Imerovigli, which is slightly more quiet than Oia and Fira. Views were incredible. You do get a bit of a workout walking along the windy paths.
All of the staff go over and above expectations. We left there spoiled and no other hotel will be the same after. Thanks to all the Sophia staff.
We didn’t like our room, but the staff, specifically Tony and Vivian (the manager), were extremely nice and kind enough to change our room based on what was available at the time. They went above and beyond to help us immediately. Amazing view with great breakfast and nice surprises everyday by the hotel (you’ll have to find out yourself ;) ). Nice location, near Fira, with a nice walk experience, very clean rooms with super nice staff. Hotel’s food is good quality with reasonable price compare to nearby restaurants.
Great people great room.ake sure to take the aurura cave if you want privacy
Stunning hotel, GREAT location
My wife and I honeymooned here this past week and the beauty of this hotel, hospitality of the staff and views were indescribable. Immediately we were upgraded to a larger, more private suite because the concierge noticed we were the only couple next to a group of families in a not-so-private group of rooms. It was incredibly romantic. The breakfast was delicious and conveniently delivered to us at our chosen time each morning. Two thumbs up!
Magical
Initially there was a minor hiccup with our pickup arrangements from the port however upon our arrival to the hotel they managed to make it up to us tenfold. From that moment on our experience was nothing short of amazing. First off: the views! They're everything you have ever dreamed Santorini to be. You will not be dossaponted with the views in any room you choose. Second: The overall guest experience is phenomenal. Everyone is so kind, and they really go above and beyond to ensure you're stay is perfect. We greatly appreciated the desert places in our room every night (nice touch) and the sweet little surprise at our departure. Last: The rooms! Oh my goodness gracious! We were quite impressed. One thing is seeing them in photos but in person they're just perfect. We chose to stay on the Efhari Suite and it was the most magical, romantic, experience of our lives. We would definitely return without a doubt! Highly recommend this location. Note: The town this hotel is in is absolutely perfect. We had contemplated between staying here or in Oia but after having visited both towns we are so happy we went with Sophia. Not only was the sunset more stunning but Oia was full of tourists climbing the walls of everyone's hotels and apartments with no shame whatsoever that the guests staying in hotels there had no privacy whatsoever. Imerovigili was less crowded, and had more privacy amongst the hotel rooms.
All i have to say its WoW!!!
I was in love with the resort the treatment from the staff its amazing Mira was the best ive ever experience on customer service she was very helful and sweet i would def recommend this hotel Perfect location perfect view! You have your own pool very private and you can watch the sunset from the your pooI am going to come back and i want to stay here in Sophias suites
Beautiful!
It was beautiful and the staff is beyond accommodating! It made the beginning of my honeymoon a fabulous experience!! The view of the Caldera and breakfast on the balcony cannot be compared to any other hotel!!
NIGHTMARE HOTEL!!! Stay Very Far away!!!!
When we first arrived we were told there was no public bathrooms and told to go to a nearby restaurant. Mind you we spent over $1200/night for a LUXURY hotel, so we were SHOCKED there was no lounge. BUT we’re in Santorini, so we try not to be bothered. No one called us like they promised to tell us if our room was ready. When we arrive we find out they left our black bags out in the full sun baking and most of my wife’s toiletries had melted. Then we arrive in our “Luxury” room. What looked AMAZING on the website looked drab and old in person. The magic of photoshop and staging I guess. The linens were dingy and showed wear, the umbrella outside was broken. The AC in the room was broken and no one came to fix it. It was over 100 degrees outside, and inside it was even hotter. Then we started getting itchy and looked around and realized we were getting bitten by these little spiders! After that we simply decided to leave. They refused to issue a refund. With no other rooms they expected us to stay in a room without AC and get bit by spiders? We lost over $4700 and went to the Andronis Boutique in Oia and the Andronis Concept in Imerovigli instead (real luxury hotels). Let me say, you simply can’t compare. The Sophia is a 2-star hotel at best. They have a great view, it’s a pity to be paired with such a poor scamming hotel. If they had any decency they would convert 1 unit into a lounge of some sort with bathroom and bag storage but of course they are greedy. Go elsewhere.
Perfect location, awesome architecture
We stayed here only one night -- in one of the cave rooms. It was such a cool space, and it included a plunge pool. We were there in August, but it still got a little chilly at night. It would have been way better if the plunge pool was heated. But still, the staff at this place were among the nicest we met. If we go back, we'll get a more expensive room that has a balcony.
Incredible views and great hotel staff!
My mother and I traveled to Santorini to celebrate her 60th birthday - I could not have picked a better hotel! The views were AMAZING! You're paying for the view, not for the actual room (so use your judgement). The hotel staff was super accommodating and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting.
The staff was super friendly
The staff was super friendly and geniun. When they cleaned our room and they go the extra mile, even mopped our front porch and folded our clothes.
Nice hotel in Santorini
This hotel is one of the nice hotels in Santorini. The price is good, but there are many more nicer hotels in Santorini to choose from. I stayed in this hotel for one night. The location was perfect, but the hotel has no restaurant, or bar area to eat from. You must order all the food to be served in the room. Unless, you go and eat on other restaurants near by, which you may have plenty of choices, but most restaurants require reservation. I also stayed at the Andronikos, which was a much better and nicer hotel with amazing views as well. Andronikos did not have a restaurant, but they contract with another nice restaurant for breakfast. When, looking for places to eat, I found that the best place was Tholos Resort, which is in walking distance to both Sophia and Andronikos. Tholos Resort has a wonderful open restaurant area with killing views, and the guys that work in the bar/restaurant are the nicest people ever. So, if I go back to Santorini, I will stay at Tholos Resort, it has everything you need: beautiful location, nice restaurant, nice bar area, and the most friendly staff. The bar area is very relaxing and quite, it is not a party location - just perfect for a nice out for dinner with killing views. All these hotels are located in the Imerovigli area, the best location in Santorini. I visited Oia, and it was a zoo of people, Imerovigli is quite and it has the most amazing views of Santorini.
Nice enough overall facility
Avoid rooms 101, 102 and 103. They are on the same level as the kitchen and cleaning areas and are noisy and very busy.
Great view, great staff, great place!
We stayed here in May 2017 and it couldn't have been better. We were away on a baby moon, and on my birthday (also while we were at Sophia), the staff brought us cake and well wishes. This was characteristic of the staff - every member of the crew would say hello, stop to chat and even taught us a few things in Greek. Breakfast, daily, was on time, plentiful and delicious. The bed was comfy and although the room was relatively small (we stayed in the Cave Aroma), we were comfortable the whole time (noteworthy, the cave and structure make the bathroom the opposite of soundproof - shy folks beware!). We had a few relaxing days, but also took advantage of the easy access to hike to Fira, Oia and up Skaros rock. Every bit of our stay was outstanding and unique - we loved it here!
The best vacation of our lives.
Santorini Greece is truly amazing. The hotel staff were amazing. The hotel itself was awesome. The breakfast was beyond delicious. We can't wait to go back!!! It was the best vacation ever, and we love to travel.
Amazing in every way
We absolutely loved this place and would stay there every time we visited santorini. We got the honeymoon suite with the cave pool and pool outside. First, the location is amazing for romance. Breathtaking views and with views to the volcano and sunset. It's in Imergovila (I'm sure I butchered the spelling) but in this area, you are close to Fira and right in the middle of the island. It's very quiet and romantic. If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Fira and oia, this is the area to be in and the place to stay. The staff there was more than accommodating. They were very knowledgeable and available any time you needed. We rented an ATV to get around the island. I suggest going to Jimmy's rentals to get it. It's walking distance from Sophia suites. I still think about the breakfast there. They have these cinnamon honey doughnuts that are to die for. The rooms were immaculate and the turndown service was first class. Thank you to everyone at Sophia suites from making our dreams come true
Wonderful and attentive staff!!!
We chose this place for our honeymoon and we are glad we did. Our driver from the hotel picked us up and even dropped our bags in our room. The manager was there to welcome us and tell us about all the activities that we could do. They also had fantastic restaurant recommendation. Try Anogi if you ever stay, walking distance. Everyone was just so friendly and breakfast arrived on time everyday. On the last day I lost my wallet and was in panic. They went above and beyond to help me find it. The next day right before we left, one of the ATV that we used that they recommended brought it back with everything in it even all the cash. I had left it in the storage space. George the manager made sure we got everything back. My husband and I were very impressed that they were so honest about it and returned it. I would recommend this place and would stay there again.
Perfect choice
Highly recommend the Efhari suite. Lots over privacy and the highest room overlooking the caldera. Hotel staff is very professional and friendly. They always ask how you are doing and are able to give suggestions for your day. Breakfast is included, delicious, and delivered right to your suite.
Perfection in Imerovigli
Sophia Suites was, from the moment we landed in Santorini, absolute perfection. From giving us a room to crash in when we arrived super early in the morning to a surprise cup of coffee and light breakfast when we were checking out before the kitchen was open, everything was beyond amazing. Would stay there again in a heartbeat and will recommend to all our friends.
Nice hotel, great views, in a central location
My wife and I had a great time at this hotel. The staff were friendly and very respectful. They were also very helpful with helping us book events during our stay. The service there was amazing. It wasn't located too far from the main city of Fira, which we were able to walk too multiple times. There are also plenty of eating options around.
All about the view
The Sophia Luxury Suites is the place to stay if you're going to Imerovigli, Santorini Island. Upon my arrival, I was greeted with a fruit platter, & choice of wine or juice. George, the manager, was kind enough to share the points of interests on the island in a matter of 10 minutes. After doing so, he kindly walked my luggage up 112 steps (George gave a heads up as to the walk from reception) to my room. The property is spread out, so be prepared to climb stairs to and from any & all venues you chose to visit in the area. Highly recommend getting the complimentary breakfast. So many choices & each guest can chose an item from each section (eggs, breads, juices, etc). Make sure you have the menu in your information folder so as to give to the the night before. They're very prompt on setting table & delivering to room.
Couldn't be better
Great choice for a little escape and relaxing, amazing place, view, staff, interior and price! You get what you are paying for or more!
great hotel, great view
The hotel provided breakfast included which was a major benefit, the location of hotel was also very great!
Authentic Greek styled rooms with a great view
Had a lovely experience, I was able to get to know the staff and they were very helpful at setting things up for us to make our stay enjoyable. I disliked no door on the bathroom/ toilet, however, they provided great amenities being desert every night complementary! I would highly recommend this hotel to friends.
