This hotel is pretty good overall - very big rooms, big bathroom, and quite clean. The subway is about 10 minutes walk. There are a lots of small restaurants nearby. The only thing I'd complain about is the cigarette smell on the whole floor where our rooms were.

Best place to stay Hi recommanded

Older property that is in good condition but a bit worn. Breakfast assortment is large but the taste not so great. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Lot's of mold around the shower and tub reflecting the property age. Location is very good for Canton Fair. It's an OK place but I will look for alternatives for next years trip.

I like the room design. I liked having a bath and seperate shower. The gym was very good, especially for a hotel. The swimming pool was decent and they had a jacuzzi. The breakfast is okay. I like that they have a convenient store located inside, close to the reception.

I have been traveling all over the world for meetings and exhibitions and vacations. When booking flight to Guangzhou i was very concerned about where to stay, checked all reviews and hotels and decided to book with the Soluxe. Folks, this place is amazing, with great staff and polite people who shows absolute care. Whether it's helping you call the taxi and assisting when you return back. The dinning options are equal to none, room services is impeccable, a great sense of security and incredible street life around the hotel. I will always stay here whenever i am in Guangzhou. Thank you Soluxe for making this trip worth it for me

The property is nice older but well maintained. Everything was lovely, especially the service and the view. Cute perks in room, lobby and somewhat sustainable rules. There is a Metro stop and cool play area, garden—good for walking and sports about a five minute walk away. Challenges: They require a deposit but seem unsure when it is returned. Only two channels in English. The key may or may not work when you leave the pool and need to re-enter the hotel or the spa. The tub fills slowly but the water stays hot so enjoy!

Great comfort and loved the view

Good location for me (exhibition centre). Very happy with room, superb view and very comfortable bed. Interesting gadgets for lighting, curtains, bathroom took a little getting used too but enhanced the stay/comfort. Buffet in restaurant was great value for dinner. Limited English speaking counter staff but got there in the end. Would definitely stay here again

Internet access was free, but it was the Chinese internet. Their network would not allow me to connect to any USA websites. I’m from America and cannot read the Chinese language. Therefore, the free internet access was useless! I stayed at this same hotel about 4-5 years ago. I remember it being much nicer back then! I could not believe how dirty and run-down this hotel is now! The walls in the hallways were stained. The carpet was stained. I had mold on the ceiling in my room. My shower had dirty & moldy caulk. The entire hotel smells very old and mildewy. The concierge, bell hoppers, and front desk receptionists spoke very little English but they were all nice and pleasant. It was a struggle trying to get help or info. I did like that room service is 24 hours. I stayed here for 10 days. I won’t be back.

It is a bit of a mausoleum , very 90's Vegas vibe, but the biggest glaring error is no bar..... The rooms are dated, nice views, dining in hotel is good but super expensive. There is a local market just across the bridge which is great, and a few very good local restaurants including a Japanese and plenty of ducks options. For what we paid it was ok but not 5 star

When you get there buy the vip package for $410. That will give breakfast buffet and Dinner buffet, chefs are great best food.

Fine hotel at a convenient location. Nice breakfast! And the restaurants at the hotel are great! Fine gym and pool. The room was spacious, but the smell was not pleasant. It was a bit difficult to breathe, possibly because of the pollution. Would be great if the staff could speak at least a bit of better English. It was tough to ask for anything.

Property was very good value for the price. It had a great view over Guangzhou and was right beside a nice park. Metro was very close. Breakfast buffet was excellent with a lot of choice. No pool in winter.

3 Star Quality Hotel

No aircon in our room, too hot to bear. They didn't prepare the extra bed and baby crib inside room as we communicated in advance through email. Good they had a baby bathtub, but no bottle sterilizer. Pool was messy and not so well managed. Breakfast variety was good, but quality wise not so. 1 of F&B staffs there refilled salad leaves that fell on the floor. He just picked it up from floor and put it on the bowl of buffet!!!!!!!! Terrible.

I love this hotel. Positive Sides; Generally, it's well managed. The rooms are spacious. Clean Enough, staff are friendly, they serve fruit in the room. Minibar choices are plenty and prices are cheap. The gym room is so spacious with many machine choices. The pool is enough and instant saunas next to the pool are super helpful. Couples and friends can also use it at the same time. Negative Sides; The pool and jacuzzi sides are extremely slippery, I was about to fall badly. Pool sides must be stuck with anti-slippery stripes. Otherwise, someone will be hurt. Lifts are sometimes slow. But, overall it's 8 out of 10 for me. I will stay again. Thanks

Old, time for upgrade and rejuvation

Aircon was not cold enough and could not be adjusted to lower temperature. Everything looks old. Mattress in my room was already sunken in on one side. Didn’t sleep well throughout my 4-night stay

When arriving they upgraded our hotel as they sold out of the one we booked. Hotel was 43rd floor, very high. The shower was not good and you had water up until your ankles when showering as it’s blocked. The shower hose is very small so not much water. Breakfast was not included and we decided to pay one time, mostly pork as a Muslim was unable to eat. It’s not a bad hotel but it’s not amazing, very pricey. Used for canton Faire.

Soluxe Hotel is located right next to the Tianhe Park metro station (exit B) which renders the location as top notch. The people working behind the counter had a very good English. Breakfast was great too. Good food and great ambience. The pool area could use a good update since it is a five-star hotel but the jacuzzi area is probably a 3-star at best. Overall, a great place to stay. Views from the top floors are spectacular.

Stayed in Soluxe Guangzhou for 3 nights with my family during new year. The location is great with metro nearby about 5 minutes walk. However the hotel is not up to the 5 star standard by far: air conditioning was not working, and the front desk kept changing room for us without telling the cooling air was not even opened for central system; smoking smell in the room even it is non smoking facility; very poor sound proving between rooms, there were loud talking midnight and hotel couldn’t stop them even after complaining; power outage in one of my rooms without any notice from hotel... overall I am very disappointed and feel the service of the hotel can only be zero star and staff are not well trained. Will not recommending to others if you are looking for good services and quiet sleep night.

Soluxe is unique and unlike any other chain hotel, rooms are clean and uniquely and lavishly styled, bedding is optimum and so are the soft sheets, even the carpet has a great velvety luxurious feel, nothing and I mean absolutely nothing has been left to random, thoughts, experience and devotion have been put towards this to achieve such a superior outcome. o WiFi during my stay for canton fair

I booked this hotel for the canton fair. WiFi wasn’t working. Front desk said they would send a technician to our room but never did. I tried tethering off my cell phone and the data was slow/not working because we were staying so far up. I wanted to work downstairs in the library hoping the WiFi would be better but they said it was for vip only and it was closed. I tested baidu and American sites both loaded really slow/ not at all. If you require access to WiFi, especially for a business trip, I do not recommend this hotel. Book another hotel

Ok accomodation overall, but received food poisoning from a meal in the bar. Sausages were the source. This was confirmed by my colleague travelling with me. Almost 9 days later and still suffering. Expect no reply as this must be frequent complain but my health situation has effected my ability to function effectively.

Overall good. Near to tianhe business district and canton fair. However, nothing much in the vicinity within walking distance. Great view though from my room at 40th floor and appreciate the early check in. Service can also be improved. Property wise i also suggest to put sofas at the lobby for guests to rest (like most hotels).

Room smelt very musty and the internet was diabolical. Normally I would use my phone but on the 39th floor I couldnt get reception. So I had no internet. Also a couple of English TV Channels would be good. Seems to be going down hilol this hotel, my 4th or 5th stay

Nice little strip outside you can get late night snacks or drinks. If you speak mandarin or cantonese because its 50 50 in the area.

I am supposedly a silver level member and when I was booking the hotel 1 of the benefits to stay Hotels.Com VIP was free breakfast included. So I booked the room without breakfast option by hotel (which was higher in price) as it was included as silver member. To my surprise the hotel declined to offer it, I called the hotels.com and was told they will email me the resolution. I had no access to gmail and when I checked after coming back the hotels.com sent me email stating they will not acknowledge the free breakfast as I did not selected the higher price room. Now the question is that why do they advertise free breakfast as a perk to silver members and to you to have it you have to select higher room which includes the breakfast by the hotel?

Advertised as 5 star hotel. Was nothing close to a 3 star. My room was in horrible condition, rips and tears and stains on absolutely every surface and material. Every single morning the entire bathroom and carpet flooded from the shower, repeatedly told the front desk about the flooding issue. All they told me was that it would eventually go away. Carpet was soaking wet at all times as a result. Overheard 3 other guests with the same issue. The hotel is in dire need of a renovation and is nothing close to being five stars in any way.
