I love the place really quiet,great staff,great location and really clean

Worst bed all time, no hot water….

Positive—lady at desk helpful and friendly. Needs improvement—no Wi-Fi. Tv very limited. Not enough towels, cups, supplies. No ice. Bathroom door didn’t shut all the way It was a bed and nothing more

Had to pay for ice and didn’t have a fridge in the room nor a safe box it was a mistake staying there never again and won’t recommend it to no one

Solace after storm

Simple and quiet. Staff was helpful in finding local places to eat. Relaxed by the pool with wild parrots and magpies singing nearby. An lone outpost surrounded by a hurricane destroyed waterpark. Locals play pickleball and volleyball there, so it has its own noncommercial community life. Truly restful and quiet.

They didn’t have hot water in the hotel for showering so we had to shower with cold water and they did not lowed the rate for the inconvenience, I asked for a manager and never talked to them the employee only offered a compliment breakfast or two drinks, lots of insects inside the room, the room smelled like humidity and everything was old, also, the sink was plugged, we couldn’t even brush our teeth in peace.

When I arrived i was not comfortable the area was under construction

My stay was ok , because it was just sleep and shower. It was for family matters.

There was a larger than usual presence of stray dogs. The facility looked a bit rundown, like it promoted itself online with pictures from 10 years ago.

Completely dirty a lot of street dogs ,mosquitos and the room smells bad like humidity.Bad quality of bedding,not enough towels.And In top of that I get sick in there .False advertisement with the pictures .

Avoid at all costs

Do not stay here under any circumstances. No wi fi. No hot water. Beds are rock hard. Air con unit is so loud it made me jump every time it turned on. Stains all over bathroom. This place has clearly not had a cent invested in it in decades. Sleeping under a bridge is preferable to this place.

A lot of dogs outside in parking lot and also on the porch where the rooms are located and where the pool is located as well

El personal es excelente, desde recepción , los empleados de el restaurante (barra) el joven que mantiene limpio los alrededores, en fin todos. Es un lugar acogedor q cuenta con dos piscinas (una para los niños pequeños y otra para los adultos y jovenes) cancha de baloncesto y volleyball. Le hace falta cariño al edificio como tal , el area de la piscina esta disponible hasta las 12media noche q es muy bueno.

It’s nothing like the photos. The pool was dirty and had 3 dog poop around it. The room was dated and smelly. It smelled like mold. It made me feel sick. The surroundings are abandoned and it’s isolated. A lot a dogs walking around. The place overall looks abandoned. We checked in at 3:30pm, went to the pool 15 minutes, walked around a little bit and the 4 of us showered and I I was checked out by 5pm. It was non refundable so I lost my money. $120 for an hour and a half of frustration. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. The only good thing was that the receptionist was friendly, but nothing more.

El hotel necesita una renovación urgentemente. Los baños carecen de limpieza y están muy deteriorados. Camas, gaveteros, etc necesitan renovación también. Habían cucarachas y arañas por el cuarto.

The room smelled musty. Shower was dirty and the water was not draining from the tub. Broken room window. The pool was cloudy. The hotel looked VERY abandoned. This place has potential BUT it has been very neglected and it shows.

DO NOT Stay here !! The rooms were disgusting ! The sheets looked like there were not cleaned and just placed on the bed full of stains . The toliet bowl was filthy and the place was full of spiderwebs . The place is over run by a bunch of stray dogs. The place is in some sort of abandoned property. It’s horrible . I couldn’t stay the night and I left. The security guard said he was in charge and told me he couldn’t do anything except give me another room. The pool was cloudy and probably the stray dogs bathe there . Avoid at all cost. Run down , shady place.

Al llegar al hotel se ve peligroso por la noche porque no hay iluminación. hicimos el check in nos dieron dos cuartos que estaban ocupados por otros huéspedes. El tercer cuartos que nos dieron estaba sucio y al segundo día de la estadía llegamos al cuarto y estaba inundado por filtraciones en el área del baño así que nos mudan a una cuarta habitación y para colmo esa misma noche se fue el agua y no llegó hasta la 1 am del otro día. Es una pena porque el hotel está ubicado en un área bonita pero lamentablemente el hotel es muy viejo, no lo mantienen y el servicio de los empleados fue terrible.

Property was nice, could use a freshening up. Was left without water twice for a couple of hours on my two nights stay. Apart from that pretty nice , kind of old style. No laundry, no wifi.

The mattress is so hard that trigger my back pain.

Good property and the staff was very polite. Pool is 24/7. You are closed to very good facilities and destinations

This property should be shutdown. It’s not safe don’t take your family here. More than 30 stray dogs on property, dirty, the sheets are made out of some type of paper. The pools is the dogs drinking fountain. Mosquito hell

This is a run down cheap motel not a hotel. Pool area was dirty. The beach is not within walking distance as advertised. Also there’s no fridge or microwave in the rooms. No ice vending machine. This is by far the worst place I’ve been & did not feel save at all.

It seems that you are entering an abandoned hotel, we had a bad night, the air conditioning stopped cooling and with a constant noise you could only see a local channel, not cable TV, it needs urgent renovation and more cleaning. Parece que estas entrando a un hotel abandonado pasamos una mala noche el aire acondicionado dejo de enfriar y con un ruido constante solo se veia un canal local no cable tv, necesita una renovacion urgente y mas limpieza.

Definitely, this hotel needs some work

No hay nadie en recepción para recibir a los huéspedes. Olor a perro, cinco perros en la entrada. Llevo 10 minutos esperando para poder hacer Check In a las 11:31 pm. Gracias.

First we booked solace by the sea in which EXPEDIA should of been knew that the hotel is closed luckily after waiting for about 4 or 5 hours the manager appeared and helped us get another hotel that is unacceptable so if anyone booked Solace by the sea please do other reservations this hotel is going to be closed for a long time

The hotel is in VERY BAD condition, neglected, there are many dogs loose in the areas, the pool is hot, and there was no water after 6 pm, the restaurant closed at 6 because of the water, there are no options for dinner, beds very hard, not at all comfortable, there is NO wifi, there are a lot of mosquitoes, I really don't recommend it, there are better options for the price.

I never got to stay here lookedike a good place when i booked but i'm totallyi dissapointed i was never informed there was no water for a few days before Arrival Remind u it was 315 am when i found out in person @Solace ofcourse i could not stay and then had to go to a neighbor hotel where they sent me.

Solace cancelled my stay the day before, and transferred us to another hotel, it was very upsetting for me and my family, my sister came from New Jersey, I had paid for a 3 bed, bedroom and was transferred to a 2 bedroom, so we were uncomfortable with everything… I will never try to stay at Solace again!

El hotel necesita mantenimiento porque es lindo, solo que hay que pintarlo, la entrada está abandonada, los jardines secos, la picina sucia, tiene potencial, pero necesita cuidados. Los cuartos estaban cómodo pero el piso sucio, nunca pudimos usar el tv, no hay Wifi.

The property is unkempt, dirty linens, broken pipes, water leakage, dirty toilets, no wifi, TV and remote do not work, no TV channels that work. start dogs all over the property that get into the room if you leave the door open.

Good for the price, but the rooms smells humidity, the beds need better mattress. Don't have Wi-Fi. The staff was nice

Numerous large wild dogs were found at the parking lot and inside the hotel facility. Rooms were humid, in poor conditions. Mattress was old and hard. Reserved a queen bed. Got a full. Had to check out and leave due to the unhealthy and unsafe conditions of the hotel.

Need more updates, and take out the Dogs , lot of Dogs around .

The hotel had no internet, room dirty and sheets had stain , had bugs, outlets not working, has mold on ceiling.outside facilities are in horrible conditions, no room service , over priced,room had no phone to call front desk.

First, the entrance is going beyond a weird tunnel that looks very sketchy and with lack of light. The place looks more like a very old motel 6, and the property you are greeted by dogs. I didn't mind the dogs afterwards as they were friendly, however, it does take away even more from the property. When we checked in, the guy made the comment that they stay for four days is around $200 and through expedia, we paid almost $700, i felt ripped off, specially because the place was not even worth that. The photos show similar, however, when you walk in and you are able to see the details with your eyes, is even more depressing. An airplane’s bathroom is bigger than the space for the toilet in this hotel. The hotel was previously another one, and they didnt even update the name of the emergency evacuation plan. This place looks and feels very depressing, and I wish I would have booked only one day before booking my whole stay for the four days. I suggest that if you are looking for a place to stay, and nothing else available, don’t do more than 1 night, and if I were you, I would get to the hotel instead of booking through Expedia, it is rip off for this below 1 star hotel

Not a great property. When we reached here the reception room was closed and it took around 15-20mins for us to reach the receptionist to get the keys. The room seemed clean but as soon as we increased the room temperature we could see couple bugs creeping out. This place is not according to the postured posted.

The worse, dirty, horrible, stinky hotel stay in my life.

En la oficina de servicio al cliente nos trataron muy bien, fueron muy amables. Saquen los perros realengos. Pongan música en la entrada o en el área de la piscina, sobretodo ahora que es época navideña. El hotel está bien sólo para pasar la noche. Luce desolado.

The facilities are alright, but our A/C didn't work and the location of the hotel has absolutely nothing nearby.

Sabanas sucias, piso sucio, mucho ruido, muchos perros en el eatacionamiento. Falta rotucion e iluminacion en la entrada. No limpian los cuartos. Muebles y matress necesitan ser renovados. No es lo que demuestra las fotos.

Deception

The photos presented in the Hotel promotion are a hoax. The cleaning is terrible, the facilities are lacking maintenance. There is practically no service. I paid for the stay through Hotel.com and the Hotel did not have the information for the app. I prefer to sleep in the car than in that Hotel.

The hotel was nothing like in the pictures. There were so many stray dogs everywhere and they follow you around, they sleep on the chairs by the pool. The room was average but clean. The Wi-Fi was not available during our stay and the service at the pool bar was poor. They took forever to make drinks and food which I guess I understand if they’re under staff. It was not the greatest place to stay overall.

There was just one other couple staying there. The entrance does not have a sign to indicate where the hotel is located. The place felt abandoned. The staff lady was very polite and helpful.

Desde que llegue con problemas hice check in y no me dicen nada, entro a la habitación y no hay agua, voy y me dicen que estan trabajando con eso, ok, al dia siguiente eran las 11am y todavia sin agua, me voy a trabajar, regreso a las 10pm y el cuarto inundado y cayendo agua del techo de la habitacion de arriba, voy al front desk donde una empleada poco tolerante y no me quiso ayudar, que no habian habitaciones y el gerente por telefono le dijo que no podía resolvernos nada que si queria que llamara el lunes para ver como me ayudaban, un mal mal servicio y tuve que arracar a las 12am para Bayamon porque no habia nada disponible para volver y virar al dia siguiente a las 7am. Desilusionado total con el servicio

Beds are uncomfortable, only 2 thin pillows. I asked for 2 more pillows from the cleaning people, I never got them. No fridge in the room. For a tropical island you need a fridge. The workers were very nice. I wouldn't mind staying again if they put a fridge. Otherwise this will be the 1st and last time

The area is terrible and depressing, full of debris and stray animals. I am a owner of rescue dogs so it breaks my heart. This is a motel as it best, personnel is great but all looks so old and broken with a coat of fresh paint. The bathroom door was broken, people arrived drunk at 2 am at the pool. People smoke and litter the floor just beside your door! The poor strays behave better than the guests. What is good is the staff, very friendly in spite limitations. I was not expecting much but it was very poor. Very hard to find too, it looks like you are in the middle of nowhere or at very cheap horror movie!

NEVER AGAIN! Stayed for 3 days, they never changed the beds, didn’t changed towels, didn’t give you coffee. The bathtub was spray painted and was peeling. I would not recommend this place. By the way no WiFi either. Some of the amenities are false. Once you go into this place you’ll be greeted by dogs. Again NEVER AGAIN!

The property needs maintenance

The pictures make the place look beautiful however there are mosquitos every from the entrance , to the pool area to in your room. There are stray dogs from the entrance of the hotel to your very pool side on a chair. The dogs look to have a rash or some skin condition. The room bedding is horrible , very old school. Not all rooms come with a refrigerator. I had to request for one.

The front desk was ok but the room smell so bad and the lights in the room doesn’t work properly and I went to the front desk ask for change , the woman didn’t want to change me the room , so I left the hotel .. the front desk person switched me the hotel … Hotel Fox was amazing very clean etc

The hotel itself looks like it could be nice if taken care of. The window in the room was broken and was taped up. The dresser was broken. The door was flimsy, and barely a door. The lock to the door was flimsy. The room felt unsafe.

It was a very peaceful and quiet environment, does a beach near by.

The place quite lonely, full of abandoned dogs. The room lacked cleanliness, stained towels, dirty bathroom, the air console felt like it wasn't clean, I had allergies. Overall quite disapointed. Not recommended.
