Not the best
The hotel is ok, but a bit dated now Check in is unusually late in the day at a strict 4 pm in the afternoon Lady at check in was horrible. Strangely unfriendly for a hotel staff. I went to the pool and just kept being followed by a security guy until I left Room was dated. A few broken bits and the shower was broken and a bit of mold on the head All in all. It’s just the unfriendly environment And having to pass through prostitution ally to get to the main entertainment area didn’t help either
Rooms very sparse and basic. No tea / coffee facilities in room. Didn’t find staff that friendly. Chairs in bar area seen better days. Breakfast okay ish….Lifts temperamental, a very long wait during busy times, ended up taking stairs to the 12th floor! Great spot for the main strip and beach front so ideal if you’re looking for a cheap ish holiday stay!
Perfectly placed for the strip and big nights out. Food not so great and no kettle in the room is a big disappointment
Stayed in room 1031 which had ants. Breakfast rather poor.
Highly recommend
We had an amazing stay. Staff were exceptional. Especially Ana who went the extra mile to welcome us and to make our daughter’s birthday special. Rowl also was fantastic with Rose spending time helping to keep her entertained. We will definitely be back. Thanks so much.
Average to good hotel. Nice pool area. Comfy beds, clean. Good breakfast.
The pool is absolutely amazing.
Rooms were really clean and serviced daily. Beds comfy and spacious. Mini fridge which is always handy and wall mounted TV( mostly Spanish channels) but not a deal breaker for us. Main Pool is beautiful ( we counted 2 in Pelicanos and 2 in Ocas) and a diddy pool for toddlers. Sunbeds plenty. Few taggers as usual but really no need. Food was nice and options for all pallets. Great bars all close by and short stroll to beach. 3rd visit here and definitely return again.
Very nice staff very clean 10 out of 10 from me definitely 👋
nice
I booked this hotel mainly for the pool. It's excellent and has to be the best in Benidorm! The rooms are fine the beds are comfortable. Good location to not be in the whole Action however only down the road from it.
Lovely time, had by all!
Really lovely time! 3 year delayed 40th celebrations, due to lockdown. Great location, lovely, bar and reception staff. Clean rooms, made up every day.
I stayed here because its famous from the TV show. I knew it was not a 5 star resort but was still a little surprised how free for all the place is. I found it hard to relax. I am used the the higher class resorts so it was a culture shock to me. I do believe many off the staff do there best but the nature of the place makes any real service standards impossible. I had a pool room view and that was very nice. The location was good for me. There was some mix up with the all-inclusive but as i later found out its not so worth it anyway. But it was an experience i will never forget so maybe I should just take that for what it is.
For a Sol hotel it was poor, food was very very poor to the point we stopped bothering, room was clean but broken bathroom door we could not close.
Hotel was nice good location and the pool was the high light it was lovely. Plenty of beds around the pool.
Clean but tired
Very clean but the rooms are a tired, the lifts are terrible, so slow and unresponsive, good breakfast selection.
Will return.
All good. Will stay here next time.
We liked how clean it was and helpful the staff was .some times. It was a bit rowdy
Great location
Had a great stay, clean and tidy hotel
Lovely friendly staff
Very happy with our stay, staff very friendly and helpful rooms were clean, apart from booking two singles but getting a double everything was great
Great location the half board option was perfect for our needs.... 3 in the room but wasnt cramped.... Pool area is fabulous really enjoyed the view from the 14th floor..
Pool area
Pool area dirty and needs attention. Tiles around pool a death trap as very slippery
Really good hotel in a good spot
clean and tidy, spacious and friendly hotel.
.
Good clean hotel.would recommend.only not so good part was the bacon of a breakfast
Good to go
The hotel was very good the pool was excellent but the food was cold at times the rooms was ok
Good food, excellent maid service, cleaned room spotlessly
Not good food
The food really isn’t that good plus you only get wartered down orange juice
Stayed here in February off peak season for my 40th birthday. We liked the hotel and it was booked mainly because it was where they filmed the TV series ‘Benidorm’ which I enjoyed. The pool area was nice but obviously the pool a bit chilly because it’s February! However, the pool is open if you want to use it. Have to be brace as it’s a bit chilly! And the pool bar was shut as off peak time of year. Makes me want to come back in the summer! Hotel was nice and decent rooms with balcony we had one overlooking the pool. Was all good for the price! Friendly staff too and helpful. Great snack bar with HUGE portions of food. Was pleasantly surprised. We only saw the hotel entertainment once as we usually visited the Morgan Tavern over the road. The hotel entertainment on the night we went was ok, not really for us. All in all, nice hotel and staff. Nothing fancy but very suitable for what we wanted for a week in Benidorm in February.
I think the fixtures and fittings are now quite dated, the rooms are basic and functional. The food is mainly average quality but lots of variety and some things were very good. Staff are very helpful and that does make a huge difference to your stay. I would visit again
Nice hotel
Great Hotel, good value
Very nice clean hotel with great pools
Very nice hotel with no issues, wouldn't allow us to upgrade to all inclusive though :( Good value and nice pools
Short break with friends
Good location and overall a decent hotel for a short trip. Staff all very friendly and hotel is clean. One criticism is the check in process, took over an hour and there wasn’t even a queue to hold things up. No real complaints other than that and would go back.
Clean quiet
Nice hotel but wouldn’t stay again
Room was lovely clean and modern . Location second to none poop clean but very very busy . WiFi didn’t work , shower wasn’t very powerful and the check in and out experience was horrendous up to 2 hours both times check in and out …. Absolute chaos
The venue is exactly what you’d expect for its location in Benidorm. Pool area was nice and so were the rooms. Didn’t use much of the hotel apart from that. Check ins look like they could be problematic if the hotel is busy as I did see queues but I left checking in till late to avoid it.
Better hotels for cheaper
Room was really basic food was terrible checkin was a joke 3 hours stood in a que The only good thing was the Wi-Fi was fast
STAY AWAY!!
Horrendous - staff were rude and not bothered whether you were happy or not, cleaner couldn’t be bothered only made half of our beds one day, drinks were expensive and we asked for a kettle for our room in order to take medication and they charged us for it and took and extra deposit in case I stole it and the food was inedible also the lifts always seemed out of order or only a few were working also entertainment was poor and nothing for the children kids club was closed for our whole stay lots of rowdy large groups of adults in entertainment room on an evening we had to take our children out away from them bar and checkin and out service very slow I would advise other families to avoid this hotel
Rooms were very well laid out. Good shower. Areas clean and tidy. Slightly disappointed with the dining experience. There were no drinks available at dinner unless you paid for them.
Brilliant hotel
Amazing helpful staff
Nice short break with freinds
Was quite good with freind and meet a freind not seen for 10 years
Great 3 nights
Read a few reviews but a grear stay staff nice hotel clean .food fine overall no problems at all
Not for family's great for hen and stags
Paid around £500 for a 3 bed, for a 3 night stay 1 adult 2 child, was a 2 bed no settee & broken put me up with a rounded angle and bed squeezed into the space that didn't fit, 2 out side chairs for the family of 3 The put me up bed collapsed as both legs buckled so had to get both children up out of bed in the night, they demanded we wait in the hallway due to covid whilst they searched the hotel for another bed and changed it which was a good half hour. They then forgot to to leave us the bedding so young one had to share My bed, The balacany door was broke had to have worker to fix The bathroom door was broke and wouldnt close had to have that sanded down, loads of hammering and noise again a late night call by the maintain guy No entertainment programme as said wasn't enough children or it would start after 10pm if there was enough turn up No kettle they said we can upgrade another 200 if we wanted one House keeping didn't change bedding or towels but make The old bedding & would turn air con off, would be hot on return and personal Items moved, wall grotty stained or patch work paint 9th floor balacany wasn't ideal with young children trying to climb and a broken door was a constant risk Lots of mosquitos biting us and others in the restaurant would leave the pool side windows open, by last evening they was spraying the mosquitos but late for us with over 20 bites Wouldn't move us room or listen to complaints was rude once got yur money basic 3 star
average at best
The sol pelicanos is in an excellent location, a short walk from shops, many bars and restaurants and the beach. The staff were great and welcoming however on checking in we were given a room which had not been cleaned so we were then given a second room. This room had been turned around but the cleaning of the room was far from what I expected as over the first day there I found the shower tiles covered in dried shower gel and the balcony furniture had what appeared to be dried ketchup on it. The air conditioning was leaky dripping water all over the floor but I could not be bothered with the hassle of going back to reception with my bags so just accepted this wasn’t the quality of hotel I thought I’d booked. The entertainment was good, especially for children leaving many a parent free to enjoy themselves. The pool is excellent, only marred by the pool bar not being in use, I expect due to Covid restrictions which is out of the hotels control. We were able to keep our room until 2pm free of charge which was nice allowing us to sleep in and not rush to leave. Overall this is an average hotel at best living off its name. At around £140 per night, there are better hotels for your money in Benidorm.
The location and disable facility, food and roomswere excellent
Excellent location. Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff Very large bathroom
Location is very central to bars and restaurants. Room we had was fairly modern and presumably refurbished in the last few years. Breakfast is absolute chaos in March so god only knows what it would be like in the peak season. We had though we had booked the Pelicanos but were put in the Ocas building next door unless we wanted to pay extra which we didn't.
Sol Pelicanos
Great hotel, great location, great service, great staff....have you guessed yet? It’s great great great. Even surprised us with a bottle of birthday bubbly. Muchas Gracias
Would ensure has air conditioning in hot periods, as door open was noisy. Ear plugs came in handy. Excellent location with Neptune’s just Accross the road
Cleaning and reception and restaurant staff were so friendly but the bar staff should be sent back to school to be thought how to smile and be friendly. So rude. Real shame as this is a fab hotel
We felt the rooms could be improved. A bit dated.
The hotel was busy. But the pool was spacious . Staff were helpful and friendly
What's not to like? Fast check in after a long journey, straight to a clean tidy room. . Food had an excellent choice, and never ran short, tables cleared and cleaned quickly. All staff I dealt with were happy and helpful. My only down side was the product they used to clean the rooms was very strong smelling and I had to open a door till it cleared
Paper thin walls and inedible food. Hotel 2 stars
The hotel and room were clean and staff friendly but the food was awful. Pizza looked anaemic and left out under a lamp for hours. Other hot food barely hot at all. Breakfast was inedible with overcooked eggs, sausages and bacon. Fresh fruit section was OK. I would clasify this hotel as 2 stars approaching 3 and a major issue for us was that the balcony was unusable due to smokers both sides of us. Also always a crowd of people smoking directly outside the revolving doors so smoke would enter the hotel lobby. Finally forgot to say that walls were paper thin, especially in the bathrooms where we could even hear next door using the loo. In all we spent £300 for 3 nights including secure parking for a delux room (was travelodge standard) so I suppose you get what you pay for.
It’s location to all amenities and the beach and selection of food etc was superb.
Assistants with attitude
Hotel fine service in the restaurant very poor at times.management need to do moor than just walking about tidying up the food service area and looking at what is going on on the tables, the two assistant managers project an air of “look at me I am one of the bosses”
Good location pleasant staff clean rooms ...........
All good
Room insulation not great which made it slightly on the noisy side. Pool area lovely. Bar staff not overly friendly. reception staff and housekeeping lovely.
Perfect for the strip
Perfect base just far enough from the top of the strip and 2 mins from the beach.
Dirty room on arrival
Hotel reception said room was ready but when I walked in it was still full of the last persons rubbish and the room stank
Rooms clean and tidy, breakfast good and staff very accommodating
the hotel is very well located with a wide choice of quality hot and cold items on the breakfast buffet. the noise in the corridors from the late night party people can be annoying and could be better policed!
Rooms updated since our last stay - basic simple modern and very clean! Superb pool complex. Great breakfast selection of hot and cold dishes. Friendly helpful staff, we would recommend it!
Location is poor as there is noise from a nightclub at one side of the hotel and bars/restaurants at the other
We was pleased with the room, but a little bit disappointed that we didn't have a balcony
Excellent Christmas Experience.
Our stay was very good. The food was excellent with friendly helpful staff.Your new policy of not using plastic worked very well and is most commendable of you.
Excellent food, varied cuisine.Rooms looking a little tired, could do with updating.
Golden oldies but young at heart.
We are both o.a.p. and some times find hotels a bit noisy, but Ocas was quiet and very comfortable. Location is excellent, plenty of bars and entertainment. Suitable for every age group. Would go again.
Excellent hotel, good location and nice food, bar a little expensive, can’t say a another bad word about it, stayed twice before and would definitely stay again
Booked to stay at Sol Pelicanos but was given room in sister hotel next door the Los Ocas. Dining room in Ocas only open for breakfast and had to walk across to Pelicanos for dinner. Stayed here about 5 years ago and food this time was nowhere as good as it was then. Don’t think I will stay here again
We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful and food really good. The only thing I wasn’t happy with was that we paid for three adults to stay in room as my son is 14 and the third bed was to small for my son as he is 6ft
Food became repetitive, pool staff very Barry rude entertainment finished too early at 11pm
Love the location, near enough for the night life, but just far enough away from all the noise. The choice of two pool areas is good, quiet and relaxing or in the thick of pool activities. The staff are excellent.
Amazing!!! Will definitely be back, and will recommend to people. Myself, my wife, and daughter stayed for 4 nights and had a great time.
The 12 noon check out was a good help as we had a late flight
Central location. Hotel clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast good
Jolly Boys Outing 2019
Food was good staff helpful had a loverly time brilliant overall
Perfect
Friendly and helpful staff, great location and the restaurant was amazing
Clean tidy hotel food excellent will go back going back xmas and new year
StAy was ok. We didn’t have a balcony and looked over the indoor market with very noisy pubs below.
We liked everything about the hotel except for some of the staff & security. In the evening we had until 1am to drink in the in/out bar. Ever evening at 12.50 am we were told we had to go into reception by 1am, they even closed the doors on us & security then made us feel uncomfortable by virtually standing over us for 10 minutes in reception by making it clear that they didn’t want us there. To summarise the staff & especially the security need to be trained to take into account that there guests have paid for a holiday & they should act accordingly
Food excellent, super friendly staff. Clean. Bar and pool areas superb
Brilliant stay
Love this Hotel, had two trips to Benidorm already this year in the same Hotel our 11th visit to Sol Pelicanos Ocas. Staff always very attentive, pool is amazing just a shame about the smokers who will drop their "butts and ash" where it drops and not in the ash trays as provided. Pool always very clean and plenty of sun-beds always available. Food is excellent always a good choice and very well presented. Chef's are always willing to accommodate any restrictive dietary requests. Entertainment team excellent.
Great place great location great for familys and couples
This is an excellent 3star hotel I’ve stayed previously in the grab Bali which is a 4star and it can’t come close to this hotel. The pool is amazing however how the hotel runs it is the issue. Towels are left on sun beds all day with no one using them at busy times this is sooo frustrating. Secondly there seems to one set of rules for English guest an another for Spanish, (giant inflatable ring/unicorns are allowed) inflatable beach balls are not, there needs to be one rule yes or no are inflatables allowed??? Another frustrating thing the swim up bar... on 3 separate occasions we were sat trying to enjoy drinks and had kids jumping off the bar and splashing everyone/ yes I no I’m in a pool but chlorine in your €4 beer is naf! The hotel is really good value for money but the pool needs better management else I fear it could ruin the holiday experience for everyone.
Very clean. Friendly staff. I will not berate a property for being busy on a Bank Holiday. Didn't expect anything else. Huge queue for restaurant and all the sunbeds covered in towels so I can't really review the property because I didn't really get the chance to use it much.
Everyone was friendly the staff were very helpful.the location for the beach was excellent.the hotel was very clean.loved all the pools.x
This Hotel is unique in relation to its pool facilities "biggest pool in Benidorm". Excellent facilities and services been coming here for the past eight years normally twice a year. Only fault my husband I have is the amount of people who queue to obtain the sunbed of their choice place their towel and then disappear, usually to get breakfast or to go out. Coming back from lunch one day we were overtaken by a couple with children rushing to get to the pool to overhear them saying that "we hope the pool attendant isn't there otherwise we're stuffed" they were not residents at the Hotel, but they worked out another way in via the staff/delivery gangway. Perhaps this is a loop-hole the hotel needs to review. The attendants do go around the pool leaving notes and removing towels which is a good thing but its not repeated often enough. Lifeguards also struggle to keep the patrons using the swim up bar from drinking outside of the bar area, eating food in the pool and dropping their cigarette ash. Shame there isn't non- smoking and smoking area's defined around the pool. Food is excellent with a good varied choice always on offer. The Hotel is very well situated for both the new and old town facilities with beach a short five minute walk away. I love this place.
We arrived late. Chocolate surprises left in room as well as complimentary water and soft drinks in the fridge. Free electronic safe. Use of a kettle as well as a Krups coffee machine in the room. Will definitely return
Close to everything. Lovely and clean . Great pool. Nice food
Good value for money. Younger staff in bars very friendly and engaging. Good location.
Beautiful Pools and outside space, Rooms adequate and clean but no free kettle supplied in rooms which is usually standard, this is an extra. Reception and Domestic Staff are very efficient and friendly, Dining area, most of the staff were unfriendly and appeared unhappy, no smiles.
Great family hotel
Great hotel with a good buffet breakfast the only issue we had was that you have to park up on a taxi tank and fully check in before you can gain access to the car park
Sol Pelícanos Ocas | Hotel in Benidorm | Travala.com
Fabulous stay. Nice clean room. Very friendly staff. Amazing views from my room on the 14th floor. Good breakfast choice both hot and cold.
