Lovely comfortable hotel
Lovely comfortable hotel with very accommodating staff. We felt very welcome and well looked after . The beds are fabulous - supportive but cloud like. Fir the first time ever I was able to successfully cast my phone to the television
Love the place. Our regular place to stay.
Meh
Great location. Large rooms for nyc but lots with club. Clean gym. Broken and unusable shower amenities (soap) wasnt fixed after request which is disappointing for the price.
A very small guest room with minimal facilities, right in-front of a noisy construction site that worked all night and prevented us from sleeping, in addition to a very loud heater that we were forced to shutdown in such cold weather.
Great stay
Loved our stay great place and always my go too for soho!
Been here a lot. Love the ambience
Great location
Staff was accommodating, great service and very clean.
We got booked in a room on 4th floor and could hear the party music on 2nd floor until 2. Could not sleep until then. I’m sure others have complained but we should have been warned. Would have booked different room or hotel
Such a cool vibe. I’d stay here again. Great staff. Quiet for NY. Walkable to the great restaurants and galleries.
Very helpful and welcoming staff. Wonderful location and very comfortable room.
Highest marks, as usual
I will come back. The hotel is gorgeous and the room, deluxe king, was spacious and had a coffee machine in the room. Great location for walking to shops and restaurants. Pricey, thought the price was what was given me on Expedia…. The hotel tacked additional fees. Any who, it was worth the money😊
Love the location, staff welcoming & helpful.
Great hotel with spacious rooms
Been coming to NY often and always stayed in the SoHo area. This has been by far the best hotel I have stayed at so far! Love the spacious room, the location and the decorating accents of the hotel. Totally staying here again next year when I come on my girl’s trip.
I have stayed here over 8 times over the course of 4 years and the service is always consistent. More than pleased with my experience here at the SOHO Grand. As a woman who sometimes solo travels I feel safe here. The doorman is always courteous and friendly. The checkin staff are very efficient. Will stay again on my next trip to New York.
Lovely stay
Enjoyed the hotel and its location. Easy access to Canal St subway and bars/restaurants. Very comfortable room and bed and well stocked minibar. Nice diner on site too for breakfast.
All staff was friendly and helpful
Wonderful property and value for the area
Love this hotel
My experience at SoHo Grand Hotel was incredible. The staff was very friendly and helpful with airport travel logistics. The hotel was very clean and in a great location. The spaces attached to the hotel (SoHo Diner, and the Club Room) are wonderful. Unfortunately, my visit was in late November and Gilligan's was closed for the season but I plan to be back soon to enjoy Gilligan’s. SoHo Grand Hotel rocks!
Great stay!
Always prefer to stay here
Nightmare of a stay! Hotel had a private party and we heard the music until 3:30am. Unable to sleep all night and hotel didn't do anything. All we got is sorry. They were aware of the noise and didn't do anything about it.
Great place!
Great service and great design of hotel. Extremely centrally located in Soho amidst the best of shopping and dining! Great choice.
Love staying there. Always great for a quick getaway.
Amazing as always
Expensive but good
Wonderful hotel and staff in great location
Great hotel. Awesome ambiance.
Great place to stay in nyc!
Our room was clean, spacious and quiet. I would stay at the Soho Grand again when I'm in NYC.
great location, nice rooms, loud at night though
Raoul, the bar manager, was terrific and even helped us get a dinner reservation elsewhere. The valet directed us wherever we needed to go with a smile and warm greeting daily. Great location, fun vibe and very comfortable bedding! After staying in midtown nearly a dozen times we wanted to experience SOHO. Will definitely be back!
Great location and nicely appointed rooms
I thought this was a classic New York hotel. Very elegant and timeless. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The rooms were comfortable with many amenities.
Recommend it highly, been going there over 10 years and its always been exceptional.
Soho Grand great location
The location is excellent. If you love Soho like i do you are in the perfect place. The problem is the air con is cold and its right next to the bed. The gym is poor. Otherwise lovely stay there. Avoid the juice bar across the street. I think i had fraud on my Amex from there.
Really nice. Upscale but not pretentious.
Great hotel and area
Nice old hotel. Overly expensive. Getting the shower to run at a steady temperature was impossible. Takes a long time for the water to get hot also. Lots of overpriced drinks and snacks in the room. The refrig is so full, had to remove items to get medication in there. The area immediately in front of the hotel was good and the staff outside was great. Area in either direction from the front door was trashy.
Not for us
Check in was delayed by 30 mins. When we got to the room it looked liked cleaning had been rushed. Water rings still all over the nightstands and coffee station. The air conditioner was not working, but they did send someone and he got it working. The layout was interesting as well, the check in is on the 2nd floor so it makes things tricky when traveling with dogs. The rooms are small and the music is VERY loud and we were on the 4th floor. We normally stay at the Roxy and that will be where we go back.
Location
The hotel was clean and everyone was nice
Fabulous hotel! Great bar and great staff. Right near the canal street subway station and down near all the shopping.
Soho (not so) Grand
We have stayed at the Soho Grand many times. We stay here usually because of proximity to family. I falling out of love with the hotel. While the service is good (although morning waitstaff is not fast enough with coffee), there is no place to get a civilized late night drink and nibbles (the DJ and the Whisky Bar that’s 10 people deep is not conducive to conversation. The health club is the size of two small hotel rooms and not sufficient. It’s totally fine, but will probably stay elsewhere next time.
But Lacking This Time
Had some issues on the service side including missed/mistakes for requested room items. Typically our go-to spot for short stays.
Okay I guess?
It was okay, the food was not very good, the breakfast lackluster (concentrate orange juice, overcooked omelet, confused service for very simple and basic orders).
Great location in Soho.
Hit and miss for reception, one lady was really friendly the rest were quite frankly terrible. Hotel was ok, the room cleaners were great but it was very very noisy the hotel gym was terrible, the breakfast was average and the staff were barr the one lady receptionist, the room cleaners And the doormen - terrible. Would not stay again
Pretty Good but Bad Pillows & Cold Showers
The stay was fine, the service pretty strong but the pillows are not that soft and our shower didn’t have hot water 50% of our 5 day stay. Great location at times loud
Went on a little couple gateway and we loved it! Highly recommend. I don’t typically stay in the same hotel in nyc cause I like to try new ones but this one…. Will be a rebook for sure!
Great staff, easy location. Will return.
Great location in SOHO
Good location in SOHO, high energy neighborhood with great dining and shopping
Amazing visit to this historic hotel. Every detail was thought of and executed!
Disappointing is the word
I stayed for a week, it wasn't my first time but on this occasion it was disappointing. When I returned to the hotel on Wednesday night there were crowds of people waiting to get in and thumping music, lively, that's great, I'll have a whiskey sour I thought. No problem if I want to pay a $300 minimum. Of course my room was only on the 6th floor over the entrance so I could here the thumping music. I went downstairs twice in an attempt to find a solution but the hotel was full. The duty manager confirmed he had my email and promised to propose a solution via email, the email never arrived. I did however finally get a whiskey sour the next evening although was a little surprised at the cost. The barman chose to use a single malt without checking so they were 30 something dollars each pre tip. Finally, albeit my fault, I left my washbag in the room and emailed them on the way to the airport. Again no response. Not really good enough for a $6,000 stay.
The staff were friendly and professional and ready to help with whatever you needed.
Wonderful.
A great place to stay in SoHo! The staff is lovely and the neighborhood is exceptional.
I can’t say enough about the staff. We were warmly welcomed, and every person we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel at home. You don’t always find this in New York hotels. We will be back!
Great
Charmed
Hotel is charming, a little dark but nice, bathroom needs a lighted makeup mirror but other than that all is great! Service was exceptional! Location fantastic!
Comfortable bed and pillows! Good size room. Room service was quick. Staff was very friendly!
Very nice property
Woukd be better outside of NY fashion week.
It's disappointing that we checked out 1 week ago but have yet to receive the email copy of our final invoice or have the final amount settled to our card. I've chased guest relations via email 3 times but have been ignored. Unknowingly, we booked to stay at the start of NY fashion week. If you are not part of the fashion week crowd then this is a big mistake. The road outside of the hotel is continually blocked with large black SUVs catering for the fashion week folks and the traffic trying to pass is horrendous. In typical NYC fashion there's a lot of honking of horns in frustration and this carries on into the early hours of the morning. We were on the 8th floor and would wear ear plugs to bed to try and block out the noise. It also makes getting a taxi or uber from/to the front a bit of a challenge. Noise travels from room to room a lot and we had to call security on the first evening due to a massive row taking place in a nearby room. Credit to security they did arrive very promptly and dealt with it professionally. We'd often hear music or the TV from adjoining rooms. The doormen and concierge are excellent. Gilligans is an excellent place to relax, have a few beers and enjoy a snack. The Soho Diner provided an excellent breakfast. Staff in both venues were superb. We had a disappointing experience in the lobby/bar area where we were pretty much told we were unwanted by the bar manager as our tab had been closed out (as the previous guy's shift had finished).
Everything you could need for your stay is provided. Service is friendly, professional and prompt. Many walkable dining options and convenient to transit. The area is obviously popular with young adults on the weekend for dating and partying, but the noise and hustle of the street and onsite club did not disturb us in the room. 10th floor Room was very nice, good size bathroom and great city view.
Best hotel in manhattan
The property was great, it was just as advertised. We did not get to use all of the amenities, as our stay was short.
loved everything about Soho Grand! will definitely be returning
Great location and excellent service
Great location. Wonderful customer service. Love the bar/lounge for morning/daytime coffee/snack as well as for nightcap. Such a comfortable bed!
Dark, room upgrade to a worse view Lower floors and was not notified Had corner room w glass on each angle was given a room and was told it is an upgrade to lower floors and view of a wall
Great location - lots of dining options, shopping, close to subway stations, safe and lively neighborhood. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful.
Super service great location nice rooms
NYC
Staff always remembers us. We enjoy the property a lot.
Just a brilliant hotel in the perfect location.
The hotel is superb. New York City and general is filthy.
Great customer service. Big comfortable beds. Convenient location.
As always. Best experience and great people.
Good, room was dirty upon check in
Amazing
Perfect location and everything was great at the hotel. Will be back next time I am in New York.
The hotel is fantastic and then the staff are the magic. Marcus , Danny and Kevin were so attentive to any of my families needs and wants and made it an awesome experience again!
The elevator and hallways were not at clean as expected
It's our 4th time staying here. It's our "go to" hotel in the SoHo area where we like to stay in New York for the shopping, strolling, people watching, cafes and restaurants. The hotel is more structured for adults as it has a "mature" ambience. Perfect for my wife and I for long weekend getaways to the city.
Fabulous as always!!!!
We stayed here for one night and had a very easy checkin where we were able to get into our room a little bit early. They gave us drink coupons for the club room which gets packed at night! Room was clean and straightforward, fine for two people. Only issue was body wash in the shower pump took a few tries to get out. Overall great and will come back!
The rooftop pool was awesome and the service I received from Adam was Top Notch
Fabulous stay !
Great spot
It was a nice property but was thrown off by the lack of a few basic things that I would normally expect from any hotel, let alone one as expensive as this. No blackout shade was the worst part about it. Seemed like they are wanting to sell you more stuff than provide some basics like tea and water, unless I miss this. Gym was ok.
Awful hotel and reservation manager really unprofessional. For a NYC hotel there are so many better options. They will take your money and that’s about all they do. Nothing Grand about RBI’s property coming from an experienced who is not unrealistic. So many other hotels available that have great customer care. Stay away from this one!
Staff were very pleasant and hotel had a nice vibe tobit
Loved everything!!!!
Perfect!
Had a five night stay at the Soho Grand from start to finish everything was exceptional, there is no other place to stay now when visiting New York!
The location of this hotel was so ideal and safe. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.
First the luggage took forever to get to oir room after 3 callls... Unfortunately the next room to us had a big fight and hardly could sleep. After i call front desk it took an hour to get them to quiet . MN
We love the dog park around the corner. Clean, beautiful, and secured for guests only. For guests with pets, this amenity is priority. Only suggestion would be to have extended hours prior to 7am and beyond 7pm. Wonderful stay and central to the subway straight to time square!
