Clean room.
Clean and comfortable, but very noisy
Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was great. My only complaint is the walls are really thin. Every time someone flushed a toilet, closed a door, had on a tv, etc I was woken up by it. By 6 am I just gave up on sleep from all the noise.
I like this place I stay here every time I go home. I know it’s clean n safe. Lots places to eat. And there breakfast is good.
Very nice hotel with very nice staff.
Great price, great stay
Room was clean, comfortable, quiet, everything working well. Very efficient and friendly front desk staff. Thank you!
Due to hurricane Helelne coming ashore, we checked out at 6:00PM. after checking in after 4:00PM, then going to dinner and checking the weather report. We decided that the storm may cause us travel issues the next day. So we checkec out and drove past midnight to avoid wind, storm and flood issues we may have run into if we drove the next day. We purchased an expedia travel insurance policy and filed a claim with them for the room charges.
everything was easy, well maintained, clean. there was an elevator. really good breakfast. close to restaurants. good bed, good shower. I think it was the design of the room. simple. everything worked, the TV remote, the lock on the door, the curtain pulls. I am writing this from a dump where the above is not true and the price was more
It was convenient, clean, and a good value. Thanks for being there!!!
It was okay
Hotel needs updating, bedding was pilling and made me concerned for cleanliness
Should be better
Need was terrible! Total of maybe 15 guests yet when we arrived we were given a room on the 2nd floor. While we didn't specifically request 1st floor it would seem common sense to give them out first.
Overall a good stay, friendly staff, felt safe walking the dog at night, good breakfast & plenty of parking. On this stay, my room probably should have been cleaned before i checked in- cob webs in lamp shades, at base of the wardrobe & floor, on light fixture over sink and two towels appeared to be stained.
The service and the accommodations were fine. We were a little disappointed that the pool water was not clean.
The pool did not work. They had an option for us the: we used the pool at their sister hotel down the road. A minor inconvenience they did their best to resolve.
The room was clean, in reasonably good condition for a hotel in this price point and location. The grounds surrounding the hotel were non- descript and the area not very attractive. However the location was highly convenient especially to Summersville Lake and the New River Gorge area. Overall acceptable if you don’t plan to spend a lot of time in the room. Forget to mention that the staff were friendly and attentive.
The staff were very nice no complaints there. However, the room smelled like cigarette smoke and the pool did not look very clean and it was starting to have an algae bloom.
They do not have automatic doors at the hotel entrance. I had a luggage cart with my pet in a large crate, along with my luggage and a cooler. I had to struggle to get the front door open and maneuver the cart in and out, which was pretty difficult. Also found several dead flies in the window and on the floor. The fridge also needed cleaning - something from a previous guest had dripped out in the fridge and wasn't cleaned up. Despite this, I will stay here again for one reason that's super important to small pet owners - they have barriers up underneath the beds which prevent the pets from hiding under them. My cat hates traveling and I've had a difficult time getting her out from under beds in other places.
Fine, long check in, very unnecessary. Room was prepaid. ID and a credit card provided and still 900 questions. Nonsense
Bugs
My daughter got bit overnight by fleas or bedbugs. Several bites
The decor is kinda like IKEA furniture, but really nice room and facilities.
There was just a lack of professionalism in the people. There were kids crying and running in the hallways and it just wasn’t the normal super eight type of hotel.
Clean, convenient stop over, pets allowed, good value, Stayed at Summerville Sleep Inn many times over the years. Always well maintained and clean.
Excellent I love this hotel each time I come.
Friendly staff close to everything
The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. They also have breakfast. The cons were: Our room with a queen size bed was small. Seem cramped for my husband and I. There were no directional signs on the walls. Hard to find your way around. We had to walk up and down the hallway to find our room. The vending and pop machines were empty and the ice machine on the second floor was broken. For the price there definitely needs improvements.
Summersville
Very clean, staff was very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Building is older with a good bit of wear and tear. Our room was very damp and humid, and the carpet always felt wet,had to keep the air on cold, which was uncomfortable.
When I initially booked, it did not give me a pet room. Front staff was accommodating and easily able to switch it to a pet room. The room was okay, reasonably clean, but did smell of old smoke. It was quiet. There were some grassy areas around to walk my dog. I thought the breakfast was pretty good.
No issues!
Everyone always friendly
When we entered the room, it had a strong musty smell. The carpet was also damp in the room.
Would stay again
Great desk greeter. Very clean room. More than adequate breakfast offering. Smooth, friendly check out. Good location.
Friendly staff both front desk and at breakfast. Their key fob wasn't working that day and staff took extra care to manually lock and unlock doors multiple times despite their other tasks they had to attend to. They even sent someone to repair the key fob. This gentleman I am sure had an extra long day working on all the doors!
Very quiet, one of the best hotel breakfasts we've had in a while, many options.
I will stay here again.
Bad weekend to choose Sleep Inn
If you are staying at Sleep In, please call them. We discovered at check in that the card reader unit was broken with no chance of it being repaired. They offered to let us in our room every time the door closed behind us. Additionally, the outdoor pool was shut down. Once I voiced my frustration, they offered us a room at the Quality Inn.
This was the best hotel that we have stayed in in a long while. That was comfortable, pillows were great. Breakfast was Hot and staff was super friendly. Room was extra clean.
One of the best status we've had in the awhile. The rooms were clean and updated. Needs comfortable. Lots of pillows and comfy ones. The best part was the amazing hot breakfast that actually tasted good! Waffles, pastries, potatoes, eggs, sausage links, bacon, sausage and gravy, cereal, juice, coffee, and more.
Brown carpeting looked like it needed shampooed.
.
Charged premium prices but poor upkeep, needs remodeled; Doors stick, wash room out of order, key cards don’t work =|
The original room we were in had an air conditioner that just was not cooling our room so my husband asked at front desk if something could be done & they moved us to another room and it was excellent!!! Front desk guy was great!!! Very happy. Room was clean & comfy beds!!
stay
was very. lean
Second time at this hotel while traveling north from Florida. Nice to know we can expect a clean, comfortable room and good breakfast before we continue on our way.
Ok for a one night stay!
Convenient to where we were visiting. Comfortable bed. Quiet.
cleanliness very clean.
Overnight
Always like staying here. Everyone is very friendly. Plenty of places close by to grab a bite to eat. Very easy to get to off of 19. Good hotel if you’re going to explore the northern part of New River Gorge National Park (highly recommend!)
Excellent breakfast menu. Clean, quiet and convenient.
Great place to stay in Summerville
We enjoyed our stay at the sleep Inn in Summersville. It was clean and quiet. The staff was courteous. The breakfast buffet was hot and plentiful. We would definitely stay there again.
Very clean. Staff was very friendly and professional
NY Bound
I will 100% stay here again, very comfortable and clean
Clean and well organized rooms, excellent shower, friendly staff, good breakfast.
I gotta tell ya. I've stayed at this property a handful of times over the past 20 years and the biscuits and gravy in the morning have been worth it every time. Best sausage gravy I've ever had!
Wonderful night sleep.
Wonderful room clean and comfortable. Morning breakfast was great with just about anything you would asked to be served. Would definitely stay at Sleep Inn again.
excellent value
No opinion, only stayed overnight
A few concerns but otherwise comfortable stay…
Overall, my stay was fine. The desk gentleman was very nice and helpful. He gave me a room at the end of a hall which was convenient when traveling with my dog. I did have 2 issues that made me uncomfortable during my stay, however. The key did not work well with the door. The first time, I went back to the desk. The gentlemen then came to assist when I still couldn’t get in. After that, it took a minimum of 5 strategies attempts every time I tried to re-enter my room. As a solo traveling woman, this did not make me feel comfortable. Secondly, while being near an entrance was convenient for my dog, the door was always propped open with a rock, leaving the safety net of needing a key useless. I did call the front desk about it, but there was little he could do when working solo up there. He assured me it’s a safe area, but again, as a solo woman, if anyone saw me exiting or entering through that door, someone could have easily waited for a chance to enter.
Great value, clean and comfortable hotel room
Always enjoy staying here going to & returning from Florida. Best breakfast I have ever had. Rooms are always clean and staff are excellent. A hidden gem.
One night stay with morning breakfast was a wonderful experience.
Staff very nice. Breakfast wonderful. Obviously an older hotel, which has been updated. Bed was very comfortable. And although the set up the room was still out of date, it was clean and comfortable. Lots of parking. Very safe.. Lots of restaurants with a very short drive. Would come again.
Clean and quiet
Very friendly staff, especially the lady in the breakfast room. Good breakfast selection and the rooms are very clean. Our first time at a Sleep Inn, we will stay there again.
Clean and comfortable. Had noisy neighbors. Shower and toilet area confining. Good value.
The Girl at the front reception checking me in was great. April 7, 2024 10 pm.
Clean comfortable
It is as good as it was the first time I ever stayed here.
Older hotel in Summersville
Older hotel but pretty clean. Beds were comfortable. Good breakfast. Quiet area. There wasn’t a lot of guests. Had a room at the end of a long hallway. Exit door did not work. Bathroom fan was very loud. I told them when we checked out it needed replaced.
Nice quite stay.
The room was clean and quiet and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Nice property for an overnight stay
Basically a nice hotel for the price point. The staff were very courteous and we enjoyed the breakfast. There was enough area around the property to walk our dog.
Excellent room and breakfast!
Very gracious and polite front desk staff. Room very comfy and clean. Above average breakfast included with hot and cold choices, also very polite dining room staff; it was a pleasure
Great
Was great
Great stay
Always stay here on my way home from down south. Great location and hotel is always clean and staff very freindly
Convenient location.
Been there before. Excellent half way between Toronto and Hilton Head Island.
Old , tired. Too expensive for what we got. Charge for dog and didn’t even tell us they were going to.
It was good overall but we got a double bed instead of the queen we booked and the heating unit was making a lot more noise than it should and we didn’t sleep well as a result.
Value for your money
It wasn't a bad hotel. Comfortable a bit on the small size, but for the price, it was good. The breakfast was very good, I enjoyed it. It was ideal for an overnight stay. I would stay there again. Staff was friendly, it was clean and offered everything for a overnight stay.
On our way to South Carolina. A good place to stop for the night. The property itself is run down and smells but the room is clean and the breakfast was decent. Good place to stop.
Great location and decent price. Breakfast was good.
Bed was uncomfortable. Noisy, my room was 1st down the hallway. Breakfast was decent for the type.
The only real negative was that we booked a queen size bed and got a double. We were too tired to go down and complain.
Satisfied customer
Perfect for an overnight while traveling with a pet.
Chris at the front desk was excellent to deal with. Very helpful and professional.
The gentleman who checked me in was very pleasant and helpful.
Clean, quiet, updated for the most part. Good breakfast and value for money. Travelled with a small dog and senior parent. It would be helpful to show a floor plan when discussing room access to outside doors - . where we were placed was not as close to an exit as it was made to seem. Please consider adding an exterior garbage can by the front door (all doors would be good) for pet waste disposal (and trash) - taking bagged poop back into the hotel seemed very unsanitary and unappealing for other guests, esp for a pet friendly hotel. Lastly, I stayed at this hotel 2 weeks prior and was not advised/charged the “pet surcharge” so I was quite surprised to be charged $15 at checkin. I understand a damage deposit may be necessary but this seemed to be an unexpected cash grab. With that said, I will happily stay here again on my next trip through the area.
10 out of 10
It was a fast check-in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was amazing. The lady that was working in the kitchen was so helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
The room was quiet and clean. The bed was comfortable. Very nice selection for breakfast and very hospitable staff
Just arrived and dropped bags off. Now enjoying dinner at the local pub your employee suggested ✔️
Road trip stop
Comfortable clean room with very nice breakfast and friendly staff.
Great Value
Clean comfortable room with good breakfast.
In what seemed like a relatively non busy night we were placed in a room right next to the dining area. We were awakened at 5 am by staff preparing the breakfast service.
We stay at this hotel every year when heading down to Florida but this is the first time we’ve heard the traffic along Hwy 19. It was quite loud. Usually we are on the second floor but this time we were on the first. Everything else was good…staff, check in, breakfast but the constant traffic noise did bother us.
Excellent desk service
Great staff and check in experience. Clean room/facility. Good variety for breakfast. Comfortable beds. Quiet despite being close to highway. Would definitely stay there again.
Breakfast items were cold
Checkin was very slow. The hotel had 1 front desk clerk working, with a major wrestling tournament in town and she was very overwhelmed. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were okay, nothing great but not terrible. Breakfast was great.
Nice clean rooms, great staff and a better than usual Continental breakfast. Also like that they have assigned pet rooms and not have to take the chance of smelling Fido from the last visitor all night.
