Not a lodge

This is NOT a lodge. It is in an area of new buildings/houses which are designed into individual units. It is an area containing many of these not a lodge. The area is under construction and is a 5 minutes drive from the town. The unit is well appointed clean and quiet but for the average Kiwi be warned, it is more like social housing thanna lodge.

Great place to stay

Great location, lovely property. Perfectly suited our needs.

Very clean. Great accommodation.

It’s digital check in so make sure you get the room Information before you arrive. Contact the property on their phone number and they will text it to you. If you find it difficult to call from your non-New Zealand phone, go to a bar in town and ask the bartender how to make calls in New Zealand. Worked for me. But without this knowledge you can’t get the room information! So do it early and not at the last minute!

Clean and convenient

Amazing stay at Skyrim. Quick 15 mins into the main restaurant area or a quick 5 min drive in. The lodge is brand new and very welled thought out. Great location and beautifully decorated. Communication with hotel made the checking process easy. Love the dark sky experience and glad we stayed at Skyrim since it was close by. Walking distance to lake Tekapo is also a huge highlight. Thxs Skyrim.

Great location very quiet

This was a great find! A 10-minute walk into the town, our cute 2-bedroom apartment was perfect for two couples traveling together. We loved it!

It had everything we needed. We found it a bit small for us.

We expected to have some kind of view of the lake... the photo of the building was the local iconic CHURCH on the lake... we thought it was actually the lodge. Once we got there it was fine enough but we expected more upscale experience. We enjoyed it enough but for us would not choose to stay there next time.

Property did not meet vision as shown on website. Basically a donga hut split into 3 rooms. Had to get manager (off site) to come and program TV. No iron or ironing board. In the middle of "no where".

Property was lovely and clean with everything provided, location great but cant see lovely night sky as all surrounding properties had full outside lights on so i found price excessive

객실은 비교적 좁은 편이지만, 주방과 욕실은 깨끗하고 사용하기 편리합니다. 침구류는 깨끗하게 정리되어 있었고 객실의 전반적인 관리 또한 훌륭했습니다. 특히, 숙소의 위치가 조용하고 한적한 주택 지역이라 편안한 휴식이 가능하고, 집 밖에서 바로 별도 볼 수 있습니다. 유일한 단점은 객실이 다소 협소하는 점입니다. 그 외 모든 점이 완벽합니다.

The room (at least the 2 persons rooms) can be small and can be quite hot if you don’t want to open windows or aircon. There is no front desk so you just have to self check-in with the code provided. There’s onsite parking and it’s nearby to a lot of restaurants.

The property was presented extremely well with good cleanliness. Facilities were also good. Location was ideal being in a quiet area of Tekapo but close to it.

Clean bedding excellent easy booking

Lake Tekapo was great, and Skyrim was a great place to stay. Very bright and spacious. Parking was confusing (who is supposed to park where?) but adequate. The kitchen was big and useful, but we suggest adding some cutting boards, and maybe an oven. We bought frozen pizzas for our first meal, and we were disappointed that we couldn't cook them. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our apartment, and we miss it!

Great place for exploring lake Tekapo. Room was nice and new with everything you’d need for a sleepover.

Small place in cookie cutter neighborhood of rental properties. Tiny bedrooms and kitchen without adequate cooking pots and pans. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Basic housing in a fairly new property. It's prefab bulit, so it's not fancy. It's on the smallish side. It's in a new section of town. There is no view of the lake.

Misleading pictures on the listing and title

The listing is very misleading. The property name is “one bedroom suite” and the picture shows one bedroom and it also has full size kitchen and laundry. However it is actually a studio with a small kitchenette with no laundry. I’m really disappointed by the misinformation

Great apartement for a short stay.

Our stay was great. All necessary items in the kitchen and bathroom.

The simplicity and ease of access. Unit had everything we needed.

Fresh and clean. Great facilities. Very comfortable

A most helpful and accommodating manager. Beautifully clean and well appointed apartment - which had all that we needed. Queenstown is incredibly busy but very beautiful. Several choices for eating out and a good supermarket for cooking back at the Lodge.

Beautiful room, but no view

We were very impressed with the room and how nice it was but can't help but feel misled by the pictures in the original post. There are a lot of new developments in the area so the pictures shown on the listing are not the view you will get. I'm not sure if any of the rooms have that view. We booked this place solely on hoping for some mountain views, but instead we were looking at another unit. Also went out to look at the stars but all of the motion lights kept turning on so we had to walk quite a ways away from the property. Again this place could sell itself on how nice it is and we would stay again but I hope they can update the photos so no one else is surprised. Thanks for a great stay anyway.

We had a lovely one night stay at Skyrim Lodge, it was well equipped and very comfortable. We hope to stay again in the future.

This is a busy location with people arriving at all hours - the units themselves are efficient however there seems to be minimal sound proofing from people going about there activities - People smoking outside was so intense they mights as well have been in our room The use of lights outside during the night by the accomodation was frustrating when we had come to enjoy the night sky - perhaps with some vegetations established over time this may reduce it While the unit has all you need there needs to be some attention by the cleaning crew - pots need screws tightened on handles and the the shower trim inside and grout on tiles in shower were pourly managed by the cleaners the orange mould could be rubbed off with toilet paper and this whole base of the shower and panels were needing some attention - the wet floor drain also emits an odor. When you are in a small space it’s hard to get away from.

This incredible lodge blew our expectations. It was warm, comfortable, clean, new, well-appointed, and in a fantastic neighborhood. Checking in was a breeze (just key in a code) and the owners/managers were very responsive. It was a 1-minute drive to a strip of restaurants, shops, a grocery store, and Tekapo Springs Hot Pools. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat and definitely stay here again.

Lovely accommodation on the edge of the village,

The property was clean and had basic amenities. However, it is on the smaller side making it not as comfortable as other accommodations. The location is okay, but a car is needed to access the area.

Perfect location to do the activities in and around Lake Tekepo.

Lovely wee gem in Tekapo

Even though it was a brief overnight stay with an early start in the morning I was very impressed with the property. There was just one wee housekeeping issue of finding a few hairs but apart from that the property is clean & the room was comfortable. Excellent location & quiet. Will use again as I often stop over in Tekapo. Thank you

Modern facilities

Really nice room and great view.

The rooms were spacious, warm, comfortable. Lots of little amenities such as shower cap, toiletries. Furniture was very comfortable, high quality. Sky view from the rooms was awesome.

In a newly developed area so not safe for kids to roam around freely. Curious layout wit doors linking to other rooms otherwise a very spacious unit with plenty of amenities. Interior lights are on the bright side all in all great stay the area is still in active development

Very nice, modern accommodation with no in-person check-in required. Several car spots, easy to walk or drive into the centre of town.

Tiny cabin in Lake Tekapo.

Good location. Note room was very tiny suits solo traveller for work abd attached to 3 other cabins. View was builders rubbush site and looking directly into another house could see some mountains out of window which was gorgeous. Clean with lots of cooking utensils .Just to note .Shower is also not designed for a small to medium sized person

Very nice property - everything was new and modern! Would highly recommend if staying overnight at Tekapo.

Everything is good, except of the pillow is too high and uncomfortable. I didnt have a nice sleep.

Lovely property for a family, with everything provided. Two bathrooms is particularly useful. Well presented and clean.

There was One major thing That made our stay uncomfortable, and that was that they were blood on the walls and on the bed sheets in the room with the two single beds. Otherwise, it was a really nice place to stay at and will probably use It again

The location is good and quiet. Can see nice sky. The rooms are spacious and clean. Two rooms with their ensuit. Pretty good set up and the kitchen hv everything u need. Love the stay and will sure come back again.

Really a nice place to stay! Definitely would recommend to others!

Fantastic for family. Very clean. We booked 2 Bedroom suit. It has kitchen and 2 bathrooms which is really good for family with kids. Enjoyed the stay.

The condition of the room itself was quite poor, damage in bathroom due to condensation. Shower not properly cleaned, condom wrapper under the bed. Just needs more attention in the cleaning department… pretty average for the price. Housekeeping at 8:30-9am. We got in very late at night, they need a do not disturb sign. Great location though

Clean, warm and very good access to Tekapo

Excellent, clean and spacious lodge. Ensuite with every bedroom. Kitchen, washer and dryer. Will stay again :)

The shower seal was broken the holder for the toilet paper was very sharp and be a hazard .. there was dust behind the bed side tabe. The bed side table was positioned the wrong way. It will be nice to have more plates and cutlery. And dishwasher could have been perfect. Bed very comfortable.great communication and easy access.

The property was neat and well-maintained, which made us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout our visit. The parking was easy, which is always a plus.

A dark sky above, warmth within

Very nice place to stay. Bed is super comfortable, heater kept the place nice and warm when below freezing outside. Big tv with Netflix, very nice and heated bathroom with great stand up shower. Is about a 15 minute hike into town, but goes by fast as you find yourself staring at the mountains encompassing the town. Kitchen area had tools and utensils for two, ate most of our meals in house. More apart hotel, hotel communication prior to arrival through this app was ok, with a direct email day of departure they were incredibly responsive, fast and helpful. We are extremely appreciative of the team for helping us out.

Very nice new build, Warm and cosy

New build. very nice and warm. close to the Lake. We are lucky that we have an overnight snow and the area had a layer of snow making it look so nice. Kids loved it.

It’s new and clean I like this house so much

I called the day before we arrived and lucky I did as she now had my NZ mobile number to send the check in details to which she did after my call. The unit was accessible by code only, very futuristic and worked perfectly. We were very impressed, not only was the unit accessible but had its own parking spot on concrete and a wooden ramp to walk up to to the back door. Even accessible with my wheelchair if necessary. The unit is fully equiped with all luxury you can imagine, even stoneware for cooking. The bathroom was accessible and had a detachable shower head but also a lot higher a rain shower head, perfect to wash all your worries away with beautiful pressured water. The next morning someone came by and offered service for the unit and replenished our milk and coffee, what a service. All in all a perfect stay with a perfect view of the snowy mountains from our lounge, in Tekapo.
