From start to finish, the hotel and staff were amazing. We loved our stay at Silks Club. Looking forward to our return visit!!!

Stayed at the Silks Club for 3 nights with family. We all loved the modern, clean and spacious rooms with very attentive and helpful staffs. The location is good too - a short walk to shopping malls and restaurants. The only minor issue was noise - it was a little bit noisy on Friday night outside the hotel till 10pm or so.

Very comfortable hotel with attentive staff. Pool area and hot tub was wonderful to cool off and soak after long day sightseeing. Longer walk to MRT, but easy.

If Silks Club isn’t the best hotel in Kaoshiung, I would be interested in who is. In the heart of the city with convenient access (~USD5 taxi or Uber ride or less ) to outlets, Dream Mall, famous bakeries and night markets. The rooms are huge with equally generous bathrooms and showers that you won’t bump around in. The decor is modern, clean and simple lines. The atmosphere is serene. Wi-Fi is reliable and fast enough for all my needs. The included half buffer breakfast is gourmet with western, Chinese, Japanese and vegetarian selections. Service is impeccable and thoughtful. Need an extra soft pillow? Ice? A hair salon reservation? Every arrival is greeted warmly with multiple people helping with luggage or any other special needs. Definitely willl be back again if and when I am in Kaoshiung again.

The hotel is ok, and in a ok area, but the staff are rude, and they did not help with any of my requests.. I have never felt so much like a hotel didn’t care! And I travel a lot

Silks Club is a quiet and comfortable urban oasis. This was the third time I stayed at the Silks Club. The facilities and the staffs are 10/10. Very welcoming and helpful staffs, they deliver quality work, and you can see they work nicely as a team. The bedroom is comfortable, the amenities are quite thoughtful, providing a positive effect on sleep quality. The gym and the pool are usually quiet as well which is great for a peaceful time. Overall a satisfying stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay for a night at this hotel. The room and the bathroom are both spacious and in-room movie entertainment has a great selection. The hotel amenities were great and we especially enjoyed the pool and sauna. Will definitely consider staying there again in our next visit to Kaohsiung.

It’s more environmental friendly if not to use bottled water but drinking water dispenser.

The Silks Club is an artful, modern, and serene hotel in District 1 of Kaohsiung. It is tastefully modern and is elegantly simple with respect to the rooms. The bathrooms are quite spacious and gorgeous. The gym facilities are excellent, and the pool/spa areas are serene. The pool has a view of the city towards Love river. The staff iarehelpful and professional.

This hotel is stunning! This was my first time to Kaohsiung and this hotel really impressed me. I would describe it as Scandinavian modern. The hotel is characterized by a simple, effortless elegance. The artwork throughout the hotel is very tasteful and the mobile artwork in the lobby is quite intriguing. I stayed in a suite, which was very spacious and serene. The bathroom was like a high end spa. The staff were incredibly pleasant, gracious, and helpful. The restaurants are all quite good - excellent quality and preparation. I wish I could live at the Silks Club! If you have a chance to stay here, do so!

Top 10 hotels throughout our travels.

One of the best hotels we stayed at from the modern technology of the toto toilet to the comfort and space of the room and bed. The service was definetly 5 stars and worthy of hotels such as the four seasons, shangri-la, intercontientals and fairmonts we’ve been to. Although some may say the hotel is pricey at $200+ usd a night, I find it fairly inexpensive for what we got. The breakfast was also very delicious with 5 different set menus which can be interchanged with other sets. For example my wife wasnt fond of the soup from the japanese set, so we were able to replace it with the soup from the taiwanese set without any pushback. If anything, the staff was happy to replace whatever we wanted. I’ve once stayed at the Fairmont in Lake Louise Canada for over $1000 a night and they would boast how great their service was, but we would get “no’s” everytime we asked a simple request. This hotel’s service is far beyond that Fairmont at a fraction of its cost. Yes, the location is different. Maybe we pay for the location’s cost, but no, I highly believe in value and this hotel will be the only hotel I will stay in whenever I visit Kaohsiung. I’ve been to Ambassador and Grand Hi Lai and even though those hotels are half the cost of this one, I will still stay here. Definetly one of my top 10 favorite hotels. Because of this hotel, we have booked at their other locations throughout Taiwan. I hope it wont disappoint me. I have some high standards.

A gem!

It was an amazing stay from the time we made our bookings to the time after our departure. We were celebrating my older sister's birthday in Kaohsiung and was referred to this hotel. As we were traveling with our 93-year old mom, we requested for connecting rooms for two of the four rooms that we booked. Shortly after making a booking online, I received a call from the Silks Club, confirming our request and reserved a room with a huge walk-in shower, extra safety handle bars,.etc. as one of the connecting rooms. The check-in process was a breeze, it took less than 10 minutes. All the rooms were amazing, over 600 square feet in size (I think these were the smallest on offer). All the furnishings were clean and modern looking. If there were any negatives, they would be the lack of drawers and relatively few electrical outlets. The bathrooms were HUGE with free standing bathtub and a separate walk-in shower. Each room also came with a walk-in closet. The bar/restaurant on the 28th floor featured high-quality and tasty breakfast. Though the selections were not as extensive as some other establishments, but everything was fresh, well made and tasty. The pool on the 16th floor was narrow, but 25 meters long, good enough for a few laps after all the food. My wife told me the hot-tub and sauna were first rate. Last but not least, the service was excellent. Attentive but not overwhelming. Special mention has to go to the bell captain. Extremely friendly + helpful!

Everything was perfect and we spent quite a few time in using the facilities such as swimming pool the sauna. However, the breakfast is a bit overrated.

Counter staffs and concierges were very professional and good service. The room and bed are very clean and cosy even though the housekeeper kept refilling us body lotion, not conditioner. Overall, we had a very great time to stay here!

The hotel is new and the room is spacious and comfortable. The semi-buffet style breakfast is very delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would stay in this hotel when I visit Kaohsiung next time for sure.

Good attention to detail, e.g. high quality slippers and robes; thoughtful birthday cake and card; clean and comfortable room, spa/steam room/pool facilities. Loved it.

A high standard hotel with large rooms

Good and polite staffs. The room is large and clean. The hotel uses organic shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The amenities are special designed. We did not use their facilities, so no comment on that. Overall a high standard hotel.The location is average, not far away from places but not too close. We also tried the Ukai-Tei Kaohsiung, it was average, not as good as we have expected.

Notice! All rooms was executive room, but no breakfast or Executive Lounge was provided. Except for additional fee. Sake was ever provided in room. Sake was not provided now, becasue reason is cost-down policy. I and sad that they silks club lose their way, because having a inappropriate cost-down policy.

Overall was good but i felt that the interior design is overrated.

This is a remarkable hotel with so many luxurious extras it was almost impossible to leave it! Everything worked at the touch of a button and something’s worked even without the touch of a button viz: the toilet seat lifted as you walked in and flushed when you had left! Otherwise we had a lovely suite...huge bedroom with curtains closing at the touch of a bedside button! The pool was a good lengths pool but not really for lounging around, the dry sauna, steam room, hot and cold jacuzzis and fitness centre were all very impressive. This is not really a family hotel with kids under ten not welcome. The only disappointment was the strength of the internet in our room but we were told they would have delivered a router to increase the speed had we asked them. The restaurants were first class but not cheap. If on a budget gonfor room service. Japanese chef. Would loved to have stayed longer!

Unexpectedly great hotel in Kaohsiung

Silks Club exceeded all expectations (well, not having heard of it before, I didn't really know what to expect :-). It doesn't feel like a chain hotel, rather it's designed to a super high spec. The lobby is sparse and high-end. The room itself was one of the nicest I've stayed in (think 5-star Tokyo benchmark). The tech (TV, shower, toilet, etc.) is also top notch, as is everything else (bed, towels, etc.). Strangely, everything worked perfectly too (usually I would expect a few user unfriendly misses). Not sure what else to say, this place seems completely out of place in Kaohsiung. I would return for the hotel experience alone!

A contemporary hotel with a class of its own

Everything about this hotel is impeccably superb. The service was top-notch and hotel staff know the guests by their names. The room was very comfortable and its amenities were great. Breakfast was choice of set meals - Chinese, Japanese or International, and every set was as delicious, not to mention pleasing to the eye. One of the most memorable observation about the hotel was that it supports local artists by having their artwork adorn the hotel rooms and common areas. The lobby was done up tastefully and the ambience was serene yet filled with warm hospitality.

Great/Centrally Located Hotel + Amazing Restaurant

A beautifully done hotel, modeled around the simple elegance of other Japanese chains. Location is ideal, in the center of the city, not too far from a subway station, and not far from the airport by taxi (~15 min). The staff were super helpful and always available. It's really hard to beat the kind of personalized service that we saw there. The rooms were clean and they came on queue for both making up the room and turn down service. The bathrooms were huge and had all the amenities that you would expect and more. There was an attention to detail that I haven't noticed in many hotels before. The breakfast offered on the top floor was delicious and well worth it when including it within your stay. We got a combination of an a-la-carte order plus some additional items from a buffet line. By far the biggest attraction to the hotel is the Teppanyaki restaurant, Ukai-Tei, by Maestro Chef Innoue. We sat in front of Innoue-san where he made everything right in front of us, including the sauces. This is his only restaurant outside of Ginza where he has opened and will be opening another one in Taipei. We were there for our 1-year anniversary and the F&B manager was there to make sure it was an amazing experience. Only complaint: They would not let us use their complimentary tea-time buffet on the day we checked out as we waited for our flight, even though we didn't use it throughout our entire stay. We pleaded with the front desk manager, but denied... Kinda insensitive.

Love every moment that I stayed

Everything is perfect, the parking lot is bright, especially with the charger for Tesla, lobby is really beautiful with Art Piece, elegant and quiet, the staff helps me to check-in and park my Tesla as well, also the front door, they will look out for you if you wanna wait for the Uber or taxi, not to mention the room, I feel 100% safe coz the room key only authorized by the specific floor, I slept very well and feel energetic when I ready to hit the gym, hit the road in the morning, there’s more, i highly recommend the breakfast time, high floor with a breathtaking view, food super duper tasty, even though I have lactose intolerance, the staff & the cooks make sure to remove the dairy ingredients, I have never felt so much thoughtful table service, and the drinks from the late-night bar, the wine choice and the cocktails were perfect as well, thanks to all of the staffs from Silks Club, your hard work makes every stay-experience hard to forget, no doubt that I’d love to come back soon.

Definitely a good place. Just the breakfast could do with a bit more internal stuff despite we were just 3 westerners in total. We are aware we are in Taiwan but one cannot become Taiwanese in one week ;) but this is a luxury hotel that should cater for all guests. One real minus; the room cannot get dark enough as the curtains have 1 cm to the floor and let a lot of light in. The staff in this hotel are just great. The guests are all upper class and we felt still home but not as relaxed as usual.
