Excellent breakfast buffer!

Absolutely recommend. Very nice staff. Very nice and large room, very nice bathroom with shower and bathtub. TV had English channels (CNN and HBO). Pool was nice (don’t forget head cap). Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Internet was limited. Hotel is next to the Metro station exit. Note: to go to the Terracotta Warrior will take 2 hours from the hotel door. Take Line 2 (Red) go South 2 stops to Beidajie, then take Line 1 (Blue) going East 9 stops to the terminal station Fangzhicheng, then take Line 9 (Orange) West 11 stops to Huaqing Pool. Forgot the Exit number, but it the South East. There was Bus 613 (I was told you can also use 602), will take half an hour to reach the site.

Amazing hotel to stay

Friendly hotel with a handy location

We had a wonderful time at the hotel celebrating our grand daughter 100 days old. Had an upgrade to the executive apartment which was enormous. The Chinese restaurant is one of the best in Xi’an. Highly recommended is their signature deep fried flounder dish. The decoration of the fish was a piece of art. Would stay there again next time when we visit Xi’an

Excellent Hotel

I liked how close this hotel was to the metro. This made it very easy and convenient to get around. Also, there was a Starbucks a block away. It doesn't open until 7:30am but is good size and has friendly staff.

Mr.zhang is well trained. Expert with knowledge and experience. He helped us planing our trips and saving our times. We will stay there again next time.

Sheraton north city Xi An

It’s downright next to a train station which is 2-stops away from Bell Tower. Very accessible to malls, eateries and supermarket. Feel very very safe in this area.

Stay at your own risk

I only chose this hotel due to the brand. It was in a favourable location, and with my previous excellent experiences with Sheraton brands I chose this hotel immediately. However my stay was worse than any other hotel stays I have ever had in my life including 2-3 stars hotels. First, the room is filthy. There’s dust everywhere in the room, especially collecting at the corners, near doors, near walls, on lamps. Secondly, the person manning the eggs section at breakfast gives such an attitude and acts like we murdered her family. She made our breakfast experience such a poor one. Also, the breakfast is terrible!!!! We go down for breakfast around 1-1.5 hours before it ends everyday AND THERE IS ALWAYS NO FOOD LEFT. This hotel does NOT replenish dishes/fruits when it depletes so you either go for breakfast Super early or you are left with the scraps. It is so ridiculous I wonder how can the manager let this happen? I have never experienced this before. We pay for breakfast and there’s nothing to eat! Even the tea is stone cold!!! So Everyday all we drink is cold tea and we had to make do with whatever little that’s left. Then there’s one day where we had to leave the hotel early to go for a tour. We missed the breakfast so we asked to have something to take away with us. We specifically asked for some fruits e.g. banana. There are 3 of us and all we got is a little brown bag with one yoghurt, one croissant and one sandwich. Not even one banana. Lastly, wifi is unusable

My family stayed this hotel for three nights. Location was good, just near the subway station. My problem was the hotel amenity. The description of our specific room at Expedia included the following sentence: “Practical - Sofa bed, safe, and free newspaper; free cribs/infant beds and rollaway/extra beds available on request”. The room did not have a sofa bed. There was a plain sofa that did not covert to a bed, but was sizable for an adult male to sit, especially not acquainted for sleeping. We were a three people family and booked for three. We clearly asked for sofa bed or a rollaway bed, but no requests were fulfilled by the hotel. The hotel was available to provide us with extra bed, but only with a heavy extra charge, 350CNY(50$)/night. I have requested to Expedia for a reimbursement for extra charges that was supposed to be included in our hotel amenities. I’m still waiting almost a month for a response from Expedia.

Recommended hotel in Xi'an

The hotel is located in central area and the entrance to the metro is just next to the hotel. It is along the metro line 2 which brings to most of the tourist attractions within the city. We booked a suite and it was very luxuriously furnished. For the price we paid, it was excellent value for money. This hotel was noticeably old. The spread at the buffet breakfast was decent but they constantly ran out of utensils. Also, towards the later half of the breakfast, some of the items were not topped up. The Wifi was ok but from time to time was slow. The service staff was warm and prompt. So, overall the stay in this hotel was great.

Outstanding

Absolutely superb hotel and was a great price. In Beijing now and staying somewhere much more expensive and it's not even close to the Sheraton in Xi'An. Cracking hotel. Only minor thing is that it's a bit out of town, but subway and taxis are easy. Recommend if here, and good access to roads to the terracotta warriors if you're going there. Concierge was excellent, perfect English and extremely helpful during our stay. Overall one of the best hotels I've stayed in, thanks to the team for making it an enjoyable stay. Just wish we'd stayed longer to enjoy the pool and hotel some more. Thumbs up for sure!

Was pleasantly surprised to get a upgrade when we checked in. The executive suite was very large & grand. Definitely worth the price. The front desk staff were very helpful & made our stay extremely satisfactory.

Good location and spacious layout, comfortable beds. Next to subway station. We wished the air conditioning was cooler as it wasn't cool enough and we had to open up the top window and light traffic noises can be heard.

3 days in Xian

The hotel is located right off a subway station, so it is very convenient. However, there is not much in the neighborhood. The hotel is nice and clean, people are friendly, and overall service is good.

Great stay

The location is very good with a metro station right next door. There are a few malls around including a supermarket. Hotel also upgraded our room. Apart from the unfunctioning wifi in the room which resulted in having to change to another room, everything else is great.

Typical Sheraton standard hotel, with good location, next to metro station. However they have weird policy of no photo taking in their restaurant, and staffs were quite rude when conveying the messages resulting in very bad dining experiences.

Double charging. We have booked thru expedia, fully paid online while booking. Upon checkin at hotel, reception asked for deposit and we gave our credit card. We did not consumed anything in room. After 2 weeks, I find from my credit card statement that Sheraton also charged for my stay. Reported Expedia, few days later they inform me that they could not speak to hotel staff as no one in hotel could speak English. Still pending follow-up from Expedia. Don't how long this issue will drag. Just few days ago, a popular flight ticket platform Zuji has closed down. Disappointed with Expedia and Sheraton and keeping fingers crossed.

Nice clean hotel near transit, restaurants, city attractions. Concierge, reception & room very good. Stay spoilt by morning call last day at 4:30 am instead of 5:30 am. Manager apologized personally. Overall reccomend hotel.

Decent hotel outside of the city walls and next to a underground rail station. Bed was not of a comfort level I expected of a Sheraton and the water pressure in the shower was lacking.

There is not much around the hotel

If you go to Xian as a tourist, I would recommend staying within the city wall. Sheraton’s room is excellent (we got a suite with a living room) but not many staff understand English that is a bit disappointed

Just perfect!!!

Great Hotel, Great Location

Very stylish high end hotel, with amazing lobby, and clean, spacious rooms. Check-in and check-out were seamless, with a very efficient staff. The breakfast buffet was on par with other international hotels, with a large variety of food. It can get busy, but the buffet is large enough to easily accommodate the occasional rush. The location is great with good restaurants on the top floor of the mall across the street. TIP: Use the city subway! they offer an unlimited ride one and three day pass which is not advertised much, and the hotel is literally steps from the Longshouyuan stop, "B" exit. There are only 3 lines on the subway, so its easy to navigate. It can be crowded, but the crowds are generally orderly and quiet!

This hotel stands out for me because of the staff. I had a minor medical issue one night and needed to locate a pharmacy. The concierge had a bellman walk me to the hotel and stay with me while we had a 3 way conversation by cell phone of my problem. I was able to quickly resolve the issue and return to the hotel with the medication that I needed. These guys are awesome.

Excellent base from which to experience Xi’an. Marvelous breakfast buffet, and I am not one who generally likes buffets. Large room at great price. Hotel changed money at extremely fair rate. Would definitely stay at again.

A bery good hotel in Xi'an central

A very good hotel near the metro. Easy to reach from the trainstation. Good wifi and very good rooms. We had a free upgrade to a family room. Very good!

Beautiful hotel near subway

Beautiful hotel! Also right next to subway stop. Only three stops to city center. Pool and hot tub was out of order. After much asking for some compensation, management offer complementary happy hour buffet. Very nice buffet in quiet, business-luke surroundings. Happy Hour staff outstanding. Very helpful and nice.

The best hotel choice in Xi An.

Love this hotel! Besides the excellent service Sheraton provide in every other locations, the staff members in this hotel are very polite and helpful. It is located across the street from several major shopping malls and is super convenient. It is right next door to the subway station. Many good restaurants and local delicacies are within walking distance. Will definitely come back.

the positives: close to the metro station (long shou yuan station), easy access to sights via metro, excellent wifi connection, good coffee provided in the room, clean rooms Improvements: staff could be more courteous in assisting guests, bell boys could be more helpful with the luggage without having us to get them to help, housekeeping staff should be more aware in providing sufficient towels, waters etc for the room considering it is a family room with 3 people, water from the shower room leaks to the toilet

To meet a mother and a 7 months infant

Extremely happy with Sheraton Xian North City Hotel. The guestrooms are extremely spacious and clean and comfortable for both leisure and working purposes. Room rates are also fair and reasonable as compared to their competitors. I will definitely repeat my stay in this hotel again in the near future.

Very welcoming and friendly staff at check-in. Hotel is next to Exit B of the Red line. Room was quiet and nice size. Only negatives were that we couldn't get the AC to get any cooler than 22 degrees Celsius and the swimming pool was disappointing.

The hotel is fantastic. We stayed in the executive floor. Food selection in the executive lounge was good. Hotel is located right next to the subway station and opp a very big mall.

Hotel room good, service a little more interesting

Sheraton Xi'an Sheraton North gave us a nice impression upon checkin, my travel companion even received a rose, and we got a really nice room that was really spacious. The concierge also arranged a private car for us to the Terra-cotta warriors, despite proclaiming it was too late in the day already, we were fine! We were dropped in the city itself for dinner, and had a very tough time finding a cab to bring us back, despite our little piece of paper denoting the hotel name in chinese. After a couple of calls the hotel would arrange for a pick up, but that never came and we eventually found our way home ourselves. That night we requested a normal cab to take us to the airport the next morning. The next morning the same private car was there, they didn't arrange for a normal taxi, despite us explicitly asking for one. In the end that car brought us to where we needed to be, albeit at a way higher price, but in addition it's not the customers wish. Overall I'd say the hotel room is good, but everything surrounding it could benefit from listening to customers and getting what they requested.

Next to the subway station, helpful staff, comfortable room, fantastic breakfast, refunded deposit without hassle after 1 day late arrival due to flight cancellation, upgraded driver's car without charge from car to van due to snow for safety, all around pleasant stay.

Great Hotel in a Thriving City

After visiting Beijing, Xi'an was such a pleasant relief! Staff was very helpful and had set me up with an unexpected upgrade to a suite. Subway system is only a few years old and access is right next to the hotel.

This hotel was our best value on our entire China trip! We clicked Big Smiles in all categories. An unbelievable value. And it's a Sheraton. You just can feel the CIA guys meeting with who-knows-who in the recesses of the lobby. Back in the day. I would go back to Xi'an just to get this hotel again, and I'd stay for longer. I do not speak Chinese. But the concierge and desk staff were most capable and helped us. For example, if you do take a cab, you need the destination written in good Chinese. They could handle that sort of thing. And our room was on the club level - just outstanding with all the sliding panels, toiletries, dark wood, etc. If you come from the bullet train station, just hop on the subway. Six exits or so - you're there. We took a cab, which was fine but it took forever. Subway makes a beeline for this hotel.

Xian, a once in a lifetime trip

It was a wonderful experience. Xian is a wonderful city with lots of attraction - The terra cotta Wariors, the Bell Tower, The food market and to cap this visit, the water fountain show. The hotel was centraly located to most of the sites.

Good location but grey towels and bath robes

The towels and bath robes really need to be replaced. It's difficult to imagine how dirty they are in such a 5* hotels until you see them, worst I've seen in any hotel I stayed for many years.

Staff were very professional, room was luxury and the hotel itself was great, the only issue i had was one of the reasons we booked with the Sheraton was they offer shuttle pick up and drop off from airport ect but on both occasions we were told it was not available.

No Air Conditioning

The hotel was lovely and clean, but the rooms do not have air conditioning in the winter, only heat. There is no note of this on the hotel description and I was not informed at check-in. My room was stifling hot and stuffy. I thought the AC was broken, so I called the front desk. They still didn't tell me that there was no AC. They sent the housekeeper up who just opened a window. This did cool the room down enough to let me sleep, but I had to check out early because I couldn't stand to be in the room. The front desk apologized, but could offer me no concession since I booked through a 3rd party. They said I can request a free upgrade on my next visit to the hotel, but the chances of me visiting Xi'an again are slim. Pretty disappointed about this, as the hotel listing specifically lists air conditioning as an amenity.

Luxury hotel with good location

I stayed a week in this hotel for sight seeing. Everything is good as a 5 star hotel. I just want to mention the location is excellent. It is close to the walled city. The hotel is next to Xi'an Metro Long Shou Yuan station. Few stations to reach most of attractions in Xi'an city especially the new Line 3 is just opened in November 2016. There are many restaurants and a big shopping mall nearby. My wife is happy for a birthday surprise from the hotel. We also enjoyed the in-door swimming pool and Gym. There is complimentary in-room Wifi but the speed is slow.

A refuge in the City

I stayed here for 8 days. It was a pleasant stay. The hotel staff are the real bright spot here. People are friendly in china as a general rule but the staff here goes beyond simple pleasantness with a level of personal service that is hard to match anywhere in the World. The Hotel is beautiful and excellently maintained. Just don't try to sleep in too late and make them miss cleaning your room ....they get very upset about this. Prices are reasonable, even at the Hotel restaurants. The dining experience there was also pleasant but the food just average....even the very high menu items at their Steakhouse. This was, I think, more a condition of the product rather than the preparations which were 5 star. All considered , I would pleasantly recommend a stay here.

Very nice hotel. Close to metro station which made it easy to get key tourist sites. Breakfast buffet was good but pricey. They messed up our room reservation, but tried to correct it on the back end.

Excellent Hotel with great location in Xi'an

Check in was a breeze. Everything was explained easily. Staff was more than helpful. Couldn't have been better. Hotel is literally next to a Metro stop that can get you everywhere in Xi'an.

It was a very good and comfortable hotel. Convenient in traffic, just next to a stop of MTR. The internal condition of room was well design, excellent and pleasant, particularly compared with the reasonable room charge.

A great getaway without leaving the city!

I took out two daughters there for a couple of nights. They live in Xi'an. Everything was wonderful..from the satellite movie channels, in hotel spa, wonderful meals, and great service. It was exactly what I was hoping for them...relaxing..and a mini-vacation without leaving the city. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great service

Great hotel, and fantastic service. They took extra good care of me when I had an injured leg. Upon my return, they immediately asked about my leg as soon as my taxi dropped me off. In big hotels like this one, it is hard to find such great personal service.

Sheraton North Xian

We had a couple of issues with our rooms. My parents' room had an issue with the shower that left an inch or so of water on the floor after they used it. They had to switch rooms. My room had an electrical issue that took about a half an hour to fix upon our initial arrival. The biggest issue was that you could not not control the temperature in your room. The rooms were rather hot, but we were given fans which helped. All in all it was not a terrible experience as the service staff was excellent and very friendly.

Great service and attention from the staffs in the hotel

We stayed here last year and against this year. Great location next to the subway line as we took the bullet train to Xian from Beijing. We stayed at the executive room, so we have choices of breakfast at the lounge or downstairs at the buffet, great selection of breakfast menu, indoor swimming pool was awesome, both my 10 & 8 year olds enjoyed their stay here. There's a decent hot pot place across the street from the hotel in the mall, if you don't mind people smoking at the tables around you... Minor issues with maintenance, had a light bulk busted in my parents' room, but they fixed it right away; another issue was with the shower, the temperature control knob wasn't really working as we tried to adjust the water temperature... Other than that, friendly staff, great facility!

Value: stay here for a special!; you're in china! be very clear on what "tour" you want...! the wonderful world of language can play havoc here!
