It was a beautiful place and wonderful staff, but the “upgrade” to have access to the lounge is not worth it. We were told there were 24 hour complimentary snacks, but there aren’t. If you miss the short window where snacks are provided there is nothing there but an apple.

Good location with a great view of the ocean. The hotel is older but very well kept. The staff is really good. I would stay there agin for sure.

Family trip

The hotel was beautiful. The breakfasts was really good and had many options. The lunch and dinner restaurant was ok. Pool bar was great with good food. Emiliano was wonderful. Housekeeping ( Maria) was great. The view of our room was fair. Everyone was very friendly.

Guest in the next room played loud music at 2am. The hotel could not handle it well.

Old Sheraton hotel Carpets dirty Breakfast is super expensive for the quality and little variety it has. My room did not have a mini bar, you have to ask for it to be installed or they will change your room, something ridiculous never seen before in a hotel. I don’t recommend this hotel , sorry

The check in and check out process is to long. They didn’t keep a credit card for incidentals and I was told that “ I didn’t have credit “ so I had to go back and ask for them to take a credit card so I could use the bars, restaurants etc!

I liked everything

I had to get into an argument due to the number of people in the reservation , according to Sheraton Santo Domingo , there is an extra charge for a 2nd person in the room , this is the first time in all my years of traveling and using marriott or sheraton properties that such policy is mentioned , even thohg I checked and expedia gives the exact same rate for 1 or 2 persons in the room !

Parking is an issue. Noise from the city is also an issue. Otherwise good hotel for travelers on a business trip or just transitioning through the city. There is a Casino connected to the property, making lots of noise on weekends.

Amazing Hotel!!!

This is my go-to place whenever I visit Santo Domingo, the staff is always so welcoming and always goes above and beyond to make my staff as perfect as possible. The staff in the Club Lounge is always super helpful and enjoyable. The views on the oceanside in the club rooms are amazing.

We are regulars at this hotel and consider it to be one of the best stays in the city of Santo Domingo. Staff is extremely professional, friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Restaurant staff is superb, food is excellent, and many options. Breakfast is our favorite! Our room was nicely decorated, included the most comfortable mattress and bedding of the best quality. At Sheraton we always feel at home. Special thanks to Mr. Cuello, Carmen, and restaurant staff. (sorry I don't remember everyone's names) Andres at check in was amazing. Also Abel, Nelson, Maximiliano, and the many others who we interacted with in this visit provided outstanding service. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again in the near future!

The rooms were average. The first room I checked in the water was dripping from the ceiling from the A/C unit. However Anspire the front desk person was very professional to provide me great options to another room. Rafael, Nelson, Maximillon, Yoheidy, and Aniala all provided impeccable services in their prospective departments.

I had been coming to this hotel for years and never disappoint me. I consider the hotel as my 2nd home. The personal of the hotel is wonderful from front desk to pool area and house keeping. Santa was wonderful

The light went out several times. The room card to control the light did not work on many occasions. The power for the entire building went out also. The amenities needs upgrade, this is Sheraton !

Bad Experience

Two issues.one, I booked breakfast for three for one day and in the resevertion appeared, breakfast for one person. I told the hotel manager, I think his last name is Santiago, to charge my wife for the breakfast, let my daughter eat at no charge. She is a minor, and in my case, my breakfast came with the booking.They did not wanted to compromise. The supervisor said, I needed to discuss it with Expedia. I didn't eat breakfast in the hotel, I should be refuned. Two, an employee from the hotel opened our room door at 9:30, in the morning to see if we consumed anything from the refrigerator. Check out is at 1:00pm. This particular employee, never knocked the door, if he did I didn't hear it. Why would go in a room at 9:30am to check if you consumed anything from the refrigerator. I paid for that room until 1:00pm. When I return to NY, I would like to know if I was changed for breakfast for three. If you did , I need to be refunded or refunded for one, as I stated before.

Santa Domingo Sheraton.

The hotel was clean, the service was good and the amenities (pool, gym) were also very good. The hotel overlooks the boardwalk - which was pleasant. We were there over New Year’s and it wasn’t loud. Our only complaints were that the temperature in the hotel (not just our room) was very cold also the air conditioning was very noisy and the beds squeaked badly, making it difficult to get a good nights sleep.

The best hotel for business in Santo Domingo

This is clearly one of the worst hotels I’ve ever seen. The facility is very old and outdated. The furniture is vey old, very small rooms with low ceilings and extremely loud air conditioner. Disco playing all night and the walls are so thin that you can hear the conversation from the next room. They tried to charge me twice for the room that was already paid in advance. The restaurant is horrible the food is terrible and servers have an attitude for no apparent reason. They substituted, cheap vine for what was ordered but charge for the expensive one. Overall, just horrible experience. I booked this hotel for three nights, but I moved out after the first night. I simply don’t understand how somebody could give it a rating wonderful.

They were horrible very bad experience I have a baby and they let me out waiting with a toddler crying after a difficult flight. The told me they couldn't accommodate me that night. When I have already booked and paid in advance. After 45 minutes they decided to give me a room with a construction view . I left to Catalonia hotel next morning.

Wi-Fi doesn’t work well at all. Very hard to find availability for dinners at the restaurant, only buffet is really available. Buffet serves the same food every day. Flies over food at the buffet. Overcrowded in proportion to the services it offers. No cams to protect the bungalows. Understaffed in proportion to he large number of customers.

I'm a regular customer at this hotel, but in this ocation i notice a lack of staff the ac and hot water did not work properly in my room. The highlight of mybstay was Yohana from housekeeping and Yohana from from desk they whre amazing.

I like the staff, great customer service from: Abel, and all the other guys that help around, the last two trips; the receptionist has want to give me rooms on the 5th floor or below! I have been común to this facility for years and never had this issues. My last three trips have been disappointing in that respect. I prefer my room from the 7th floor or above. My situation in Santo Domingo is stressful, I visit my sick mother.. I need a good view of the water!

The Early AM Customer Representative contacted a Taxi and driver service they use. y low rating for Taxi Service. My suggestion is to operate a separate shuttle service to and from the airport or screen the Taxi service. The Taxi driver at departures to the airport at 5 am charged $4000 Dominican Pesos ($75.00 US dollars) for the trip from the hotel to airport. I did not have time to argue cost because of non-resident to a foreign country and flight departure time. I was disappointed with the Taxi.

Front desk staff needs better training and Be more knowledgeable about dinning options and activities in the area.

The Sheraton is conveniently located along the iconic Malecon and is close enough to the Zona Colonial to be walkable. We ate there a couple of times for convenience outside of breakfast and the food was tasty and well priced. Would definitely recommend it.

Family oriented, all you can eat, all you can drink, nice pool and nice areas. I didn’t feel welcome on my arrival, the woman attendant was very off putting, wouldn’t let me check in without parking my car and it’s off property parking. I waited about 20-30 minutes to follow a guy a few miles to park the car then come back. Besides that woman, everyone else was very nice.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, I particular Benjamin he assisted my family every step of the way. Provided services for two handicap people in our group. Also there was Orlando, he was there to direct and inform us about services in the area, and made sure all our requests were granted. The property was also amazing 😻
