This is the second new years I stay at the Sheraton and will likely be my last. We checked in and the room key stated we would be in room 794. After over 30min of trying to find a non exist room, we learn it should have been 724. The bed was hard and the sheets/towels were rough so if you value that, this is not a good hotel to sleep in. We check out and our bill is charging us $64 for valet parking. I asked the person checking us out why it was $64 as Expedia notes $59. She said it changed like 2 months ago and the website is not updated. Its only a $5 difference, but its about the principal of what you advertise and there was no intention in making it right. Afterwards, I review my bill and its further charging us $54 dollars at the 19th Commons Bar. I had to go back as it also was not accurate based on the bill I signed. The last person that helped me was at least helpful and removed the charge after looking further into it. Look at your bill closely after check out!
Bringing in 2025
New Years Eve! Amazing stay. Some road construction at the entrance which makes check-in process challenging but staff was very welcoming. I would stay here again definitely!
Great hotel. Convenient and close location.
We were in Denver for the Christmas market and lights at the Capital. The Sheraton was a great choice, very easy walk to all the events. It was nice to come back to a clean and quiet room, great night sleep! Would recommend and go back next time we are in Denver, Thanks!
Great stay
Totally recommend
We have a great time beautiful hotel , excellent service and walkable distance to restaurants and shops
Everything was amazing and all the staff was so helpful
Great place to stay, not much more to say. Can’t go wrong with this place
Decent overall stay in Downtown Denver
Overall the stay was fine, the two buildings wasn't as great dealing with up one elevator, across a skyway, and up another was annoying to get out, and to pay $55/day for breakfast? Not that great along with the $25/day 'resort fee' that every hotel seems to use nowadays. Otherwise, the employees were great. Very friendly, the construction sucked around town, but otherwise close to everything needed.
Property is fabulous, just been numerous years of road construction.
Would stay again
Loved our room, lots of space, clean, quiet.
a lovely hotel
Great service, attention and comsideration. Perfecrtlocation to see mountains and hike.
It was freezing in the hotel is the only complaint.
Nice place. Spread out over two buildings. Lots of construction. Nice pool.
Fantastic hotel
For $500 a night, it could at least offer free coffee. The Yard House restaurant attached had amazing food!
I really enjoyed the quick, easy check-in. The front desk staff was very courteous and friendly. Everything was amazing, and the bartenders, especially Vin at the lobby bar and Paola at the pool bar were amazing, a great representatoon of the staff at this Sheraton. One of the managers, James, came by to make sure everything was to my liking, and I assured him it was. This was a special occasion for my 60th birthday, and i couldnt be happier with how it all turned out. Thank you to everyone at the Sheraton Denver Downtown for helping this be the perfect weekend.
The staff was incredible. The construction around the hotel was noisy and disruptive.
Room type that was reserved was not available at checkin. Received an "upgrade" with two smaller beds versus the King reserved
I liked that the hotel was close to many good places to eat. It was also very close to the venue we were going to for a concert.
Very nice hotel! The pool is clean and quiet. Rooms are great
I booked this property because it stated a roof top pool, luxury, but the pool is located on the 5th floor in between buildings with no sun. There is a bar at the pool but there was no staff to assist. The king bed rooms are extremely small. Our refrigerator smelled horrible and didn’t keep our drinks cold. The a/c does not work well and the room was kept pretty warm. There are 2 buildings that you have to travel back and forth to get to the pool or the bar or your room and parking. Overall we were not satisfied and will not be returning to stay any time in the future.
Great experience for the price
Great place!
Beautiful views all around of the tall downtown buildings, staff were super helpful despite confusing parking situation with the construction areas, and superb rooftop outdoor pool.
Great Staycation
Great staycation for a concert in town. The property was nice and upgraded. Only bummer was, the in room phone didn't work so all questuons had to be asked in the lobby. And we couldn't get pillows for our sofa bed after 2 calls from our cell. But we enjoyed the F&B credit, great location and it was a great lobby area with lots of action happening. We've stayed at The Crawford, The Brown, The Oxford and we were surprised that The Sheraton was so modern and kind of cool. We'll make sure to stay here again because you cant beat the price.
16 Street was torn up. Not your fault. It made accessing the hotel inconvenient.
Excellent stay! Friendly staff, clean room, great pool!
Awesome hotel. Will most definitely be staying in the future!
Great stay! Loved the pool day - was very fun - bring chairs just in case if you can.
Bad service
This is the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel. The first time was for the Taylor Swift concert and the service was poor, but we gave them a pass thinking it was a busy weekend. This stay was just as bad. There won’t be a third.
Nice place
Bad experience. We were placed in another tower at the reception far from the hobby. Air conditioning didn't work properly for our taste. Small room. The front desk staff were not friendly but polite, they are not oriented to solve problems. We needed an hour more to pass the checkout and they couldn't extend it. The manager didn't take us.
Super breakfast, great wait staff. Felt ambushed by the "resort" charge. Nice guitar player at the bar from 5-7.
Nice
My favorite stop in Denver
I have purposely selected this hotel since I stayed there for the first time. Service is amazing and has everything you need all together.
Excellent stay. Spacious clean room. Excellent food. Pleasant staff. Great amenities. Close to lots of sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. Would definitely love to stay here again.
I stayed two days but no room cleaning the whole time there
Fun
Such a nice property. Love the bar, reataurant and perks. Sucks you have to pay to park.
Super clean, comfortable and the staff was friendly. The restaurant had a wonderful breakfast, the waiter Juan was very friendly and attentive.
Nice stay
Hard to get into property
Good location and comfortable stay.
My husband and I had a wonderful night's stay. Will totally stay here again when visiting Denver.
Terrible valet service waited over 45 minutes each time
beautiful hotel with thieves.
Everything was great until my purse was stolen and so were all of my things i had just gotten from target because the front desk lady wouldn’t allow me to go back up to my room when I had to get new keys from them dying next to my phone, then they don’t have any cameras and no one helped me. it truly almost felt like it was set up.
Staff was very friendly. Food for convention was well prepared, delicious and presented nicely. Cocktails were delicious and a nice variety.
Too pricey for lackluster service
The only great service was on arrival, Jay was super friendly and helpful. The lackluster service at common area and valet ruined it. Too pricey for mediocre service and accommodations.
Fast and easy check in. Staff is friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and the bed was comfortable. Highly recommended.
No hot tub, only an outdoor heated pool. No view of New Year's fireworks display even though the firework are launched from the hotel roof.
The amenities provided on the property make an excellent experience. The rooms were clean and neatly arranged, the valet parking was extremely fast.
There was a banging all night long
Booked a “1 bedroom executive suite (corner)” for a great rate. Beautiful suite with whole window panes along both exterior sides of suite. The bathroom was bigger than a residential “guest” bedroom. Will definitely be staying again.
Great place
Treated like Royalty
Last minute book. Treated like royalty. Alyssa at front desk was amazing
Excellent Service
Our stay was wonderful. We had a blast. We asked for late checkout which was granted, however our room key expired prior to our extension time so we couldn’t use the elevator from the pool to get back to our room which was a process of about an extra inconvenient hour which included some stairs. The hotel itself is fantastic. The pool and dj was great.
Good
Dining
No hospitality, but we’ll take your money
My reservation was for 9/7-9/9. My travel plans didn’t go as planned so I couldn’t check in until the evening of 9/8 and I didn’t expect a refund, I just wanted to check in. The young lady at the front desk was polite as she informed me that my room was no longer available because I didn’t check in on 9/7. As we were discussing the situation and what my options were, the manager on duty was listening to our conversation and decided he would handle the matter. He was not as polite, professional in an AI sort of way. He didn’t try to help the situation, but repeatedly told me that I didn’t check in on the 7th so we gave your room away. Before he butted into the conversation I was inclined to pay the walk in rate for a room for the night, but his callousness of the situation was only making the situation worse. The young lady was attempting turn the situation around and get me a room. The manager acted like a snotty little kid that was given some authority but knows nothing about hospitality. When booking the hotel I don’t recall anything about having a responsibility to check in by a certain time or I would be charged in full and my reservation canceled. I was planning to arrive 9/8 around 7am, get a shower and head to the convention. I got in later than expected so I checked in the evening of 7/8. I fail to see the issue with this. My room was given away I was charged the full amount and treated as though I had done something wrong.
Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in
Front desk staff "promised" my room would be ready when I requested an early check-in at the time I was making my reservation. Front desk staff, upon checking in, just shrugged their shoulders and were extremely unsympathetic when I was informed my room was not ready. I then waited 2 hours in the lobby. Room was very small with just enough room for the king bed and a small table with one tiny chair. Had to take 2 different elevators and walk across a skyway to reach my room.
Excellent hotel.
The hotel was beautiful and was in a perfect location.
The staff was extremely accommodating.
Very beautiful building. You can tell the building is old. Some parts falling apart.
Went for a Taylor swift concert. The staff was great, hotel was decorated and playing swift music. Was able to get an early check in!!! Will be going back. The room was very nice too
Great check in staff
Booked a King room for wife and myself anniversary we checked in around 630 pm and they said they had no king room available! Was given a double queen room they offered no compensation or explanation room was clean and neat the downtown area is a mess not easy to get around with all of the construction and streets being closed or down to single lane on checkout called for bellhop to bring down luggage told it would be about 15 minutes after about 45 minutes and no show went down to bellhop desk and asked again told it would be at least 30 minutes as they were busy he said I could take a cart and bring it down myself which I did
very large property. Rooms comfortable and well appointed
Loved location for dining. Weird layout of room.
The staff was friendly and it was in close proximity to restaurants and points on interest.
Berry nice place. Thank you!!!
Modern, clean, great check in, walkable and great pillows!
love it so beautiful is hard to find parking tho
The property was clean and in a good location. The room was adequate but not superb. Clean and tidy but set up in a non-efficient way with no drawers for clothing etc. Also, we found it very odd that the safe was not securely anchored. Could very easily be walked right out of the room. When we mentioned this to the front desk we were told 'every room safe is like that'. Another thing that is not clear in the descriptives of the hotel is that there are two buildings to this property. Of course we were in the building without the restaurant and bar etc. A bit inconvenient. There is a skyway that joins the two buildings, or you can cross the street every time you want to grab a bite or get some coffee etc. Valet folks were great. Juan in the restaurant - great. The hotel is quite and again, it is very clean with change of towels and room clean up daily, which is also a nice plus.
There was a conference going on so the rates were higher and the front desk upgraded me to a awesome room and threw in a bunch of bennies. Free drink, free food. Highly recommended.
I was there for a conference and it was so frustrating that the internet didn’t work properly at all: in either the conference rooms or the guest rooms. It was painfully slow, took forever to connect (would just freeze), and got disconnected in the middle of a task for no reason. To add to my misery, the Verizon data signal was not great in the room too, so it was extremely difficult to get work done. I missed so much of the conference because it took much longer to finish simple things like sending emails, downloading clips etc. My own presentation also suffered greatly. The other thing that annoyed me was that the hotel didn’t offer a shuttle service. Most big hotels have shuttles to and from the airport, but when I inquired here, they said they don’t “but you can take a taxi” (which a: obviously. B: I had to and cost $100 with tip).
Property was nice but I had to deal with way too many mistakes upon the check in that needed correction. Too much time spent on that!
good location
Dislike--I am unable to receive a statement, either paper or email, of my room charges.
.
Everything was great. Thanks!
I was double booked at this property. I was charged by Expedia and then charged again by Sheraton. They charged me for booking in advance with Expedia. They also charged a miscellaneous $100 charge to my card without explanation. They also had me stay in their abandoned tower which doesn’t provide room service. I couldn’t get into the building I was staying in without going through another building.
Great customer services.
Not very clean sheets have a sweaty smell, nice lobby many places to go around easy access to the bus and a lot of restaurants near by .
One of the front desk receptionist “Connor” was very welcoming and helpful along with the rest of the staff. Staff exceeded things we asked for and allowed us to late check out with no charge. Very clean and comfortable stay
Hot
I appreciate that the hotel has tried to update to more modern looks, but it doesnt matter if you havent also updated the heating/ac unit. We had the room set to 65 for the weekend but the temp never got below 74 in there. It was clear the hotel knew the unit was not working properly because one of the panels around the unit was ajar - im not sure why you would rent out a room that you know the air isnt working in.
Location is great. Pillows are great. Breakfast could be better.
Very good
Ashish, who checked us in, was fabulous. Very accommodating and friendly. 5 Star employee!
Basic Conference Hotel
We were disappointed with Sheraton. Upon our arrival, the payment machine (necessary for a safety deposit only) kept asking us to tap, swipe, and enter the card, saying it couldn't read the card and the employee kept telling us to try again and again. Well, finally the employee said 'The card doesn't work anymore. Your bank must think it's fraud since you tried so many times. You'll have to call them.' We obviously used a different payment, but we asked about the machine saying we had just paid the taxi without problem and the employee said she had checked in 500 guests just that day and the machine worked fine. Obviously, it would be physically impossible for one person to check in 500 people in the span of a shift so why lie to a guest in such a way? Laura was simply unpleasant, and I'm sure we were unpleasant right back as we simply wanted to get away from the check-in desk. The room was large and clean, but the bed was far from comfortable, and the pillows were as thin as pancakes once our heads hit them. The bedding consisted of two sheets, which seems to be the standard in most American hotels now, unfortunately. The room was so dry we had to hang wet towels in the room before going to bed. The work table was crooked, and my laptop kept sliding when I tried to work on it. And to top it all off, my wife went in to nap one afternoon (with the do not disturb sign on the door) just to be woken up by the electrical crew who needed to check something... twice!
Excellent service and very clean and hospitable
the motel was very nice and a great place to stay, however the 16th st mall and surrounding area was full of homeless people and hoodlums, not a family friendly area like it used to be
service at front desk
I ordered on the food up a bottle of Prosecco and a soda… An hour and a half goes by and I have not received my order. I go and call front desk and they said oh will send it up to you. I ended up getting just a bottle of Prosecco, another 45 minutes later and no soda. The room has a refrigerator which is great but there’s no microwave. I had to call the room service and ask him to bring me a microwave.
parking is fast and easy. check-in was smooth. right on 16th street mall for shopping and dining.
There was a very helpful manager named Brian. Everyone else…meh.
It was beautiful and more than we expected!
