Dissappointing

There are two things that disappointed me about this hotel. First the lack of cleaning and maintenance in general. Dirty windows and loose taps. Second, they told us that we could use the services and then they charged us an extra 20 dollars that they never notified in advance. I wouldn't go back.

Disappointing. They have really old tvs but front desk confirmed they do nothing. So you can’t relax in the room or connect your phone to them. The blow dryers don’t work. The tub is very old and looks rusty yellow. The robes need softener urgently. The staff hung up on me twice on random situations I had with the room. I wasn’t even arguing about them. Just very poor experience for a Sheraton. Expected something better kept together.

We had such an amazing relaxing time. The rooms were big and cosy, everything you will need. The things to do around the resort were fantastic options galore that you don't need to leave.

I was expecting more from the hotel being a Sheraton hotel. Also the bed quality Was not good. Room also a bit worn out.

Wonderful - needs updating on decor and furniture

The hotel is very nice, however it is worn out and needs refurbishing for soft goods. The beds are amazing! The lobby and spa areas were really nice. The decor in the room is non existent, the carpet was really really dirty as was the chair. The service was excellent and very friendly. The grounds were really nice including the pool area.

Disappointing stay at Sheraton.

Disappointing overall. This is a hotel we have stayed at many times ten years ago when we lived in Buenos Aires. The hotel was quite avant- garde in those days. It was new and had few rivals. We were amazed to see there has been no up-dating during this ten years. The hotel is mainly coach load orientated. Everything is an extra these days except one small bottle of water in the room which is 'gratis'. Frustratingly, the internet is an extra which is ridiculous these days. The use of the indoor pool and spa is an extra and it was too cold to use the outdoor pool. The food was not good. They used to have some smoked salmon in the average buffet breakfast but even that has now gone! The bar food is limited, poor and expensive. The hotel has a feeling of general decay and lack of investment. I have a feeling we shall not be going back anytime soon!

Good hotel in a great location close to Colonia

This is a lovely hotel with excellent common areas and beautiful scenery! The rooms are large but have a smallish double bed and are slightly old fashioned. Breakfast is average. Staff are extremely helpful and pleasant.

Great for kids too

This was not the first time I have been there, actually I have gone there many times. One of the great things about this hotel is that is also a great hotel for kids. Besides the outdoors installations, the hotel has a Kids club where they can play and do all kind of things, always supervised by professionals, They also organize activities outdoors for the kids, which leaves grown ups times to enjoy themlseves.

Luxury near Colonia

We were visitong the area on a long weekend, my wife and son. No places available, except this great hotel. Not cheap, but excellent. Excellent food, pools, landscape, spa

Very good hotel to enjoy family vacations

Sheraton Colonia is a very good place to enjoy vacations with your family. The Sheratoon kids club is an excellent choice for your childrens from 4 to 12 years old, the staff of the Kid club are very professional and great with the kids, giving them all different activities during the day, including the lunch and dinner is available for the kids on the kid club. The pool facilities are great, an excellent place very well located and much activity. The rooms are comfortable spacious but the beds are not same size as other hotel from the same chain. The gym is very good, with excellent and new machines. The golf court is magnifique. The gastronomy choice is the weaker point of the hotel, the options are not so much, the prices are a bit expensive and the size of the portions are small. A couple of tennis court will be ideal and they are missing.

Nice service oriented staff

Hotel staff ready to attend to all your needs with a genuine smile. If you stay over the weekend, there will be a lot of families with children running around the halls disregarding the "quiet pls" sign you place outside your door. It would be nice if they had coffee and or tea in the rooms. There isn't anything close by at a walking distance. To go to the Colonial town, your have to drive or take a $10 taxi. They do rent bikes at the resort @ $4 an hour.

Great hotel in beautiful setting!

the hotel is beautiful and the views of the golf course and the gardens over the river are great. Staff is friendly and breakfast is perfect. I didn't like to pay for the Wi-Fi connection! it's an expensive hotel and it should be a service provided to the guests!

Nice hotel, needs more maintainance

The hotel is very nice, great pool areas, very nice for playing golf, near the beach. We had a bad experience ar checkin because the hotel assigned an special accesibility room and we asked for a king size. The accesibility room is prepared for wheel chair use, like special bathroom without bathtub. We must go to the lobby to ask for the manager and later after some minutes they assigned a standard king size bed room as we booked.

Nice outdoor facilities.

We only stayed one night but if I had to go again I would not stay there as it is not the closest hotel to the old downtown, you pretty much have to rent a car or take cabs.

Wonderful staff and views.

Wonderful hotel. Beautiful views of the River Plate. The staff was very helpful. I ended up having to deal with some work while there and the staff graciously scanned and emailed papers for me since all I brought on my vacation was an iPad. I would stay again without hesitation. Very enjoyable.

Colonia, Uruguay....Where?

My wife and I booked for 2 nights there. Food is okay, staff is friendly and hotel is decent. But $500USD a night if you add your meals...in Colonia! So if you have money to waste, give it to charity, you'll feel better.

I spent three days at the Sheraton Golf in the city of Colonia The hotel is amazing, the staff is very helpful and kind The Resto at night is a perfect option if you are tired and prefer stay al the Sheraton The food is excellent and prices are ok About the outdoor activities this Sheraton is surrounded by a golf campus and that create an amazing landscape The pool is perfect and you can have a drink in the pool bar At last but not least everything in the room is perfect and comfy

Great during the day. Lacks dining alternatives in the evening

The location is very peaceful and quiet, excellent to relax. Since there are no restaurants within walking distance, the hotel should offer more dining alternatives for the evening. There is one restaurant which is extremely expensive (food is good but not as to justify those prices) The alternative is a bar offering only hamburgers, pizza and snacks. They should have something in between (brasserie, bistrot) at more reasonable prices. Of course, the restaurant will then probably be empty.

Great for families

Great hotel. They have a huge room dedicated to kids (videos, tv, wii, computers, piong pong, chairs and tables, etc). ery good service and food.

Bad service, inconvenient location in Colonia

Very bad experience at Sheraton hotel in Colonia. The hotel has nice grounds near the river, an inconvenient taxi ride from the city. Dinner at the hotel bar featured greasy enpanadas, a dirty glass and indifferent service. The room was large however the shower was broken and despite a call to the front desk we could not get the air conditioning below 23 C.

Very nice hotel, warm architectural style. Great kids club service. Very bad restaurant and room service. The food is good, but the waiters are not properly trained.

Winnter week

The hoteles is beatufull but, Food and Bebberage are realy Horrible. One day i'm wait 20' minutes to order an then 2 houers until see food. For kids is exccelent!

Not impressed

It was our second time in Sheraton Colonia. It's the best hotel in Colonia. The indoor pool is great and you have a lot of activities in summer. The wrong thing is the bad location, so far of the historic centre of Colonia, and the food, that is expensive in the hotel. But we can recommend this hotel to other tourist.

Excellent Hotel - Not in downtown Coloni

The Hotel was excellent. I didn't play Golf, or use the spa ... And the restaurant ...well it was fine.... If you like eating surrounded by families on vacation. Screaming children, awkward teens, grandparents holding court ... And parents trying to endure the weekend. It's that kind of place. The facility itself was nice. The staff spoke excellent english. Certainly enough to enable me to check in, eat, sleep and checkout. My two reservations about the facility? One. It's a 10 minute cab ride from the Buquesbus Ferry terminal. It's NOT downtown. Bear that in mind if you want to be car independent. (200 pesos) Two. There was no in room wifi.

ett nydelig, gammelt hotell som forlengst burde fått en oppgradering, restauranten var stengt i november, de forsikret at de hadde samme meny i baren som de ellers har i restauranten. Føltes mer som en barmeny på ett tre stjerners hotell enn en fem stjernes opplevelse. Frokost var inkludert i prisen, men det inkluderte ikke kaffe som kostet USD 7 ekstra!

Muy dusfrutable

Excelente el personal del hotel, siempre dispuestos a hacernos pasar una excelente estadía. Para disfrutar en familia con muchos entretenimientos para los chicos.

Muy buen hotel en Colonia, que requiere un mejor mantenimiento general, ha quedado un poco en la historia. Aún así es un excelente lugar para pasar unos días y disfrutar del lugar.

O Hotel fica num local lindo mas tá velho é decadente. O serviço que presta não está a altura de um hotel 5 estrelas.

Decadente num lugar fantástico

O local do hotel é magnífico! Jardins, campo de golf e piscinas porém, os quartos são escuros, decadentes e poucas tomadas disponíveis. O secador dava medo de ligar por causa do estado da tomada. Ao abrir a cortina encontrei uma teia de aranha enorme o que demonstra que a limpeza deixa a desejar. Os funcionários são atenciosos e prestáveis. O café da manhã (Tem que marcar a hora de véspera) é bom, porém se você pedir para fazer um simples misto quente tem que pagar por fora já que só tem torrada disponível no salão.

No volveria

Al ingresas no pudimos descender correctamente del auto porque un remisorios obstruía sin pasajeros, luego nadie vino a recibirnos: En la conserjería no nos esperaban y que decir, la carta de la cena de 2 platos es muy poco; Mi esposo no durmió porque las sabanas estaban usadas

Me gustó que está armado para chicos pero no me gustó qué hay muchas instalaciones que están sin mantenimiento (ej máquinas del gimnasio), las habitaciones (teníamos hormigas); no me gustó que te cobren 60 usd la noche por una cama catre adicional

COBRAN EL USO DE LAS INSTALACIONES....

USD 22 adicionales por fuera de la tarifa por el uso de las instalaciones del hotel ??? "política de Marriot" me dijeron...Te lo cobran al final con las consumiciones. No basta con ser huésped del hotel, hay que pagar extra y por fuera de la tarifa. Aclaro que aparece al final del proceso de contratación con Hoteles y lo acepté así. Pero no deja de ser antipático, poco prolijo y hasta una suba de la tarifa "encubierta"...

Sheraton Colonia

O entorno requer melhorias, acesso muito deteriorado, estacionamento é precário e insuficiente, basicamente se estaciona numa área sem asfalto e sem cobertura para todos os carros. O acesso do estacionamento ao lobby é de pedras soltas. Os quartos são amplos e confortáveis e a pesar de ser um prédio com certos anos tudo funciona. Café da manha com muitas opções. O pessoal é atencioso e organizado.

Atendimento espetacular, café da manhã excelente e com boas variedades, fiz somente uma refeição no hotel e foi um belo lanche, muito saboroso e gigantesco, a cerveja Patrícia muito boa, a única coisa que posso apontar, achei algumas coisas com falta de manutenção, mais nada que não posso avaliar este hotel nota 10

Precioso lugar para descansar y comer rico. Un entorno natural sumamente agradable. Detalle a cuidar: los mozos parecían apurados y no esperaban a que todos los de la mesa terminaran de comer para recoger los platos.

Bueno, pero le falta!!!!

Estuvo bien, pero esperaba más. Falta mejorar la limpieza de habitación y en general en todo el hotel (muchas telas de arañas por todos lados). En la piscina de adultos no se respeta el horario que es solo para adultos, habían niños cuando no estaba permitido, reclame y fue en vano. En general aceptable pero no lo deseado.

Agradable estancia y cumpliendo los protocolos sanitarios. El hotel tiene todo lo necesario como para no tener que salir del mismo. Destacar la cordialidad en la atención por parte del personal. En definitiva, regresaría sin dudarlo.

Encontramos que la habitación no estaba muy limpia, encontrando telarañas y detalles que muestran una limpieza superficial.

Genial la actividad dirigida a los chicos. Buenos procedimientos contra el Covid. El desayuno asistido muy bien, con turnos y buena distancia. Ademas almuerzos y cenas en el hotel, buena calidad y precios mas económicos que en Colonia del Sacramento. Piscinas para todos los gustos. Disfrutable jugar al Golfito con mi nieto.

He vuelto una vez más. Ha sido un excelente viaje en familia. El hotel está bárbaro. Se respetan estrictamente los protocolos por el covid 19. Las habitaciones son espaciosas, las camas sábanas almohadas y toallas son excelentes y la higiene es correcta. Las instalaciones son muy buenas. Las piscinas externas con los quinchos y las reposeras muy disfrutables. El entorno natural el campo de golf, el lago, garantizan tranquilidad y un buen descanso. La piscina interna, la sala de aparatos y el salón de juegos, muy buenos. Los niños tienen actividades variadas con animadores con mucha empatía (Sofía es excelente) que los mantienen muy entretenidos. El desayuno, bueno y la posibilidad de hacer las demás comidas en el hotel a un precio por demás razonable, hacía que no nos moviéramos de ahí. Es de destacar la buena disposición y la amabilidad de todo el personal. Muy recomendable!! .

Excelente estadía en Familia!!!

Ya nos hemos alojado en otras oportunidades en este Hotel en los últimos meses. Nos encanta el lugar,la tranquilidad, el contacto con la naturaleza, las piscinas, las increíbles puestas de Sol. Los niños pueden andar con mucha libertad sin mayores preocupaciones para los padres. Hay actividades todos los días y Sofía es una excelente animadora con quien podés dejarlos sin preocuparte. El personal siempre amable y bien dispuesto. Las habitaciones cómodas, las camas y almohadas, ropa de cama y toallas excelentes. El desayuno es bueno y las demás comidas las hacíamos todas en el hotel ya que se come bien y a precios razonables. Importante!! Se respetan los protocolos por el COVID-19. En definitiva, muy recomendable para descansar!! Volveremos seguro!!

Un hotel para adultos.

Hotel enfocado a la recreación y descanso de la gente adulta y mayor, con hijos chicos no lo recomiendo ya que la piscina exterior no tiene otros atractivos, por ejemplo un tobogán sumaria mucho en este sentido. La piscina interior es pequeña en relación al tamaño del hotel, la sala de juegos deja mucho que desear. Lo mejor: la habitación family plan muy cómoda y acorde al hotel. En mi caso, estuvo bien conocerlo pero no repetiría en un futuro cercano.

Punto arriba al personal

El trato de todo el personal es excelente en todo momento, buscando solucionar hasta la más mínima cosa y preocupándose de que la estadía sea realmente única.

Pasamos dos hermosos días en familia. Todo muy organizado. Respecto estricto a los protocolos y excelente higiene en todos los lugares del hotel. Las habitaciones agradables y las camas y almohadas muy cómodas. En relación a las camas mi reserva era de una habitación con dos camas queen y me dijeron que medían 1,50 cmts de ancho y en realidad no medían más de 1,20 o a lo sumo de 1,30 cmts., pero reitero, eran realmente muy cómodas. Es de destacar la atención de todo el personal, son amables y atentos y bien dispuestos. El desayuno está organizado en horarios cada una hora para evitar la aglomeración de gente y hay que registrarse previamente. Es muy bueno y abundante. Lo sirven en la mesa (no hay mesa tipo buffet) y todo el tiempo están pasando a ver si precisamos algo. La cena la tuvimos también en el hotel y quedamos realmente muy conformes, los platos son de muy buena calidad y los precios razonables, considerando además que si se carga el costo a la habitación se exonera el Iva. Al mediodía el restaurant no abría pero hay opciones de comer hamburguesas o chivitos que los hacen en un carrito que está en el jardín y están buenos. La piscina interna está muy linda y las exteriores hermosas. No perderse las puestas de sol. En definitiva, volveríamos.

Entiendo que estamos en pandemia , momento dificil para todos, pero se nota deterioro en el mantenimiento de las instalaciones y limpieza de bastante tiempo ( vidrios y otros). Personal se nota está desbordado en sus tareas.

Me sorprendió tener que pagar un Resort Fee de USD 22. Elegí reservar por el precio, me pareció una muy buena oferta y, al menos en forma visible, no estaba mencionado. No es por el monto pero si por el hecho que protesto y espero que se me devuelva.

Todo excelente Hubo una noche de mucho calor en la que el aire acondicionado se rompió Nos ofrecieron cambiar de habitación a una con una vista mucho peor. Había una con la misma vista pero había que abonar un recargo. Siendo un problema del hotel cre que fue inapropiado También debo destacar como positivo que olvidé un dinero en la caja fuerte de la habitación y me fue devuelto por l tarde de mi partida Gracias

Pasamos un fin de semana divino, la atención, el servicio y la estadía en el hotel son excelentes! No pudimos comopletar la estadía por temas personales pero esperamos volver!

Hotel muito bom e com preço atrativo, no entanto tudo lá se cobra em dólar! São 22 dólares por dia para usar spa, piscinas, etc. O café da manhã custa 15 dólares por pessoa. É um barato que sai caro...

El mejor hotel de Colonia para descansar y disfrutar de un entorno hermoso. Muy buenas instalaciones bien mantenidas. Muy buen spa. Disfrutable!

Instalaciones y personal OK. Puntos a mejorar: KIDS Club sin luz natural. Limitado horario para los niños poder utilizar la piscina interior. Agregar más opciones de menu para cena en restaurante ya que el precio del menú único es elevado.

El hotel estaba lleno de chicos por las vacaciones, de manera que comer y desayunar era estresante. La pileta y su área, no se podían usar por el mismo motivo. Nos dieron una habitación para personas con discapacidad motriz, por lo que, sobre todo el baño, era raro, no muy agradable, adaptado para gente en silla de ruedas. Si nos hubieran avisado, tal vez nos habríamos sentido mejor y hubiéramos elegido otra cosa. Además nos cobraron USD 22 diarios adicionales a lo que habíamos pagado. La excusa era para uso del spa??? Inentendible! Además pileta cubierta LLENA de chicos, inutilizable para nosotras.... Pedimos que consultara el hotel con ustedes, pero no hubo caso, debimos pagarlo para no discutir. Seria bueno que ustedes nos reintegraran esta Plata. Cuando llegamos también debimos discutir la ‘media pension’, nos decían que era solo con desayuno. Mostramos la reserva y a regañadientes nos dieron el ok pero solo para 2 comidas....sin embargo, lis USD 22 nos los cobraron por los 3 días. En fin, dudamos en volver a contratar a través de ustedes y, definitivamente, el Sheraton Colonia será un hotel al que NO volveremos

O hotel é maravilhoso! Padrao Sheraton sempre ótimo! A estrutra das piscinas, campo de golf, entreterimento sao execelentes! Nosso quarto tinha uma vista incrivel para o Rio de la Plata, com um por do sol de tirar o folego. Cafe da manha execelente com muitas variedades! Super recomendo!
