Amazing
Wonderful experience to celebrate birthday.
City View Room
Warm welcome. Efficient check-in. Spacious “City View” room. Shame the tv is in front of the view! Comfortable bed and bedding. Our room was on a corner and the room was overlooked by the room next door and the room above us. To gain privacy we had to lower the blinds which meant the view we paid highly for was partially obscured- odd design fault! Delicious breakfast with extensive options. Pleasant, friendly service throughout the hotel.
Outstanding!!!!
Beautiful relaxing experience in a top London city hotel in the sky. Staff all very attentive and friendly. Breakfast & dinner views unrivalled as are the view from Your room and even your bath & shower! Totally recommend. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience from start to finish
Exceptional room/suite in great hotel. Reception staff very helpful. We went for light bites in The Sky Lounge. Our waiter was friendly and efficient but the food was very average and we definitely would not eat again, maybe just go for a drink as views are stunning.
Excellent
fantastic hotel
What a viee
Amazing views from an amazing hotel. Food and drinks were great. Staff were friendly and very helpful
Excellent service
I had an incredible stay at the Shangri-La, The Shard. The staff was so incredible attentive from the moment you step into the building. I especially want to thank Jehan from the front desk staff for going out of his way to make sure I stayed in the best room and it definitely did not disappoint. I was able to see a stunning sunrise over Tower Bridge and soaked it all in from a bathtub with the view. This hotel truly has one of a kind views of the London skyline— I’ve been to London plenty of times before and stayed at varying hotels and this one is truly the best out of all of the them. The staff truly makes the biggest difference. Cannot recommend enough!
Very nearly perfect.
Was able to check in early, we checked in at around 11:30am. The room was spotless and in great condition, nothing to fault. The special touch they gave as it was my girlfriends birthday was very good, we got a cake delivered to our room and a card to her which came with it. Very cute. The shower, bath, bed, curtains, comfort was faultless. Even the heated toilet seat. The only downside to our trip was finding out that the pool facilities were not open, which we found out upon arrival. This was what we were most looking forward to so we were very disappointed with that. All in all it was a special trip which we won't forget, just had a piece missing for us not being able to use all the facilities which we thought we would. Other than that, 10/10.
It is our second time to stay at shangril London and it was a perfect choice for celebrating my husbands birthday. The staff were great and thank you the celebration cake and card and bday greetings for my husband. We had an excellent stay we loved our upgraded corner room with city views and complimentary breakfast. We did however missed using the spa as it was under maintenance but we were assured they will provide us sky pass at a convenient time at some point this year. We love the breakfast choices and the views we highly recommend this hotel.
Always an exceptional experience - just wonderful
Superb check in, stunning room, fantastic cocktails and exceptional staff. We love Shangri-La and wouldn't stay anywhere else, it's just perfect.
I’ve be er experienced staff so attentive and engaging. Amazing hotel and the staff made it just unbeatable.
Stayed lots times at this hotel
Excellent stay on NY Eve
Fabulous.
The attentiveness of the staff was superb and the food was delicious.
Everything was fab
Fabulous hotel, had a super time.
Find somewhere else
Terrible service from check in onwards. Constant unnecessary interruptions. Everything we asked for was a burden to the staff. Prices has gone up, decor, service and friendliness has gone down. Many cheaper and frankly much better hotels now. 5 years ago it was something not anymore
5*
Fantastic stay. Customer service 5*
Amazing stay
The service and attention to detail is amazing. Ting in reception was excellent when we arrived and again when she recognised us while checking out. It was chosen for location (and a little treat). The views were spectacular!
Fabulous
Stunning view Large room with great amenities
The personal touches and attention to detail from all the staff is do impressive. You are really made to feel welcome and valued. The room was excellent with everything you could hope for to compliment the amazing views of London. A great experience I hope we can do again soon time.
A
It was an u real great experience. I enjoyed every minute of my stay. Great people and great staff..
Shangri-La properties never disappoint!
Overall the property was lovely as you’d expect for what it is, staff were friendly and very helpful, room was lovely and an amazing view of London. Mini bar prices were excessive for what was on offer but that’s your choice to use or not. Spent a lovely weekend celebrating my wife’s 30th birthday gift.
We felt very special, they were happy to arrange an early check in, breakfast was amazing, the views were lovely and it was a great anniversary treat. Thank you!
Staff and service all brilliant
Very expensive, but best views you get in London
My wife and I had the opportunity to stay for 4 nights at the Shanghai-La, The Shard in London, and the experience was truly remarkable. The hotel was stunning. The hotel staff were incredible. We were even upgraded to an Iconic King Room with City View for which we were truly grateful. The view from the room was simply breathtaking, absolutely stunning. The panoramic view over London, whether at sunrise or sunset, is unparalleled. Amazing restaurant with fabulous view. Breakfast at Ting was a perfect start to each day. The buffet was exceptional with plenty of choices, as you would expect from a luxury hotel of this kind. Again we must thank the staff for their attentiveness throughout. We also had the chance to enjoy the spa and pool facilities. A true sanctuary of relaxation. A true sanctuary of relaxation. After a long day of exploring, the pool and the sauna on the upper floors, with its spectacular view over London, was exactly what we needed to recharge. Overall, The Shard is an excellent choice for those who want to experience luxury and sophistication in the heart of London. It’s a place that sets new standards for hospitality and comfort. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an unforgettable experience in the British capital!
The view was absolutely wonderful. All the staff members were great. Only thing I concern was there were not enough USB outlet which was quite shocking.
The best hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! Will definitely book here again when I’m in London!
This property had the best customer service I have ever experienced. Staff were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond in every way. The view was amazing and we definitely hope to return one day
View is beautiful but hotel restaurant and bar was not overpriced and not very good.
Hotel was great overall, few minor things like slow service in the bar and giving us so many fresh towels in the pool area seemed a waste. But service overall was great and would recommend.
Amazing stay, do it if you can
It was all amazing, I have no bad feedback. We were upgraded on our room, the staff were so kind and couldn’t do enough - I would like to call out Jasmine who was awesome with our check in. She was great.
Best stay ever! You get what you pay for. I would definitely stay with Shangri-La again!
Staff treats you like royalty and the view is amazing.
Our trip started off in the countryside of London about 2 hours south in Dorset/Dorchester visiting a family member. We made it into London on Monday September 2nd and was greeted by very accommodating door men that quickly secured our luggage and ushered us into the lobby to head to the 35th floor to complete check-in. Check-in was painless and the attendant even followed us to the room and showed us all that we needed to be comfortable with out stay. From the wall to wall windows over looking the skyline of London, to the heated toilet set everything was top notch. We were celebrating our 30th year anniversary and for dinner my wife was not feeling to well during our dinner. We had the pleasure of meeting Alex Paris who was a member of the hotel staff that bent over backwards to try and find something that my wife could eat so that the dinner wasn’t a total waste. They offered to cook things that wasn’t even on the menu to accommodate my wife. The effort didn’t go unappreciated. Our last day there was just a nice as the first because the staff was very attentive even until the moment we left. We can express our gratitude to “The Shard” for making our 30th anniversary so special and we will return.
Amazing stay in an amazing hotel.
Very clean beautiful property. Rooms were nice and spacious. Staff was great and breakfast excellent. Would definitely stay again.
Extra charge for an omelette!! We booked a room with a great B&B deal through Expedia. The room was great, bathroom exceptional sonno complaints which there shouldn't be at this standard of hotel. However in the common parts some issues, and that omelette! Not enough lifts considering reception is on floor 35 (only 2 lifts). We have stayed in Shangri La hotels and similar all over the world and never been told that you can have poached, boiled or fried eggs as part of the breakfast (which is normal) but being told there's a charge for an omelette is disgraceful when one considers the cost for a room etc. at this hotel. Finally the area outside Ting restaurant stunk of fish. Unforgivable in a 5 star property. I certainly won't eat in that restaurant until they sortboutvthe extraction.
How hotels should be
Fantastic stay Room was amazing Sauna is amazing Breakfast was amazing Staff were super attentive and anticipate your needs. How hotels should be
Excellent
Everything, everyone fantastic!
Perfect!!!
Just breakfast wasn’t that good and very single thing not included they charge
5 star property, staff and amenities.
Rooms are clean, beautifully decorated and appointed
A beautiful hotel with spectacular views!

A chance to splurge in the sky
The big thing about this hotel are the views. Whether its from your room, the lobby, one of the 2 bars or the restaurant, the views are terrific and are what you are paying for. Yes the hotel is now 10 years old and is showing its age in a few places (the odd thing here and there did not work) but you would forgive it anything. And the prices mean that you will be tested for forgiveness. 50 quid for a cocktail is fighting talk. And I thought the "discretionary room cleaning" tip of 40 a day a bit sharp. But treats never seem to come cheap.
Great staff..very welcoming, friendly and accommodating..
Don't book the iconic city view room if you're planning on getting a bath with a view, this is very conveniently a mark-up item once you've completed your booking. Rooms are nice, Japanese toilets and washrooms are a high standard. Area around the Shard is London bridge, which is famously not terrific as an area, especially as far as safety goes. The hotel will charge you a £200 pre-authorisation as you check in, and there is a bag check and ID check so ensure the name on your booking is the same as your ID. The view is obviously great, but it's a high price to pay specifically for the view. Additionally, I booked on the incorrect date, and neither Expedia nor the hotel were willing to refund the booking or even amend the dates to when I had planned. Which is a pretty big fud especially when you're dropping multiples of thousands of pounds for a few nights. TING Restaurant tasting menu is not great. GONG Bar also not the best cocktails, notably the Applause cocktail (clap for NHS workers) is pretty tone-deaf, but what can you expect of patrons who don't spend their lives with the rest of us on the ground in the real world.
Service charges
Amazing views but was not happy about service charges for the room and for the breakfast
Room with a view
Awesome views and top service.
The best of the best
The shangrila looked after us for our wedding weekend. We didnt get married there but they still pulled out all of the stops. Their service is top notch. The rooms are fantastic. So quiet too! We will be back for a third time soon.
There aren’t many ways for a hotel to do better than this. The building is magnificent, the hotel itself is practically perfect. The staff were the most attentive staff I have ever had the pleasure of staying with. The money you will spend here is worth the cost.
The views are the best.
Excellent hotel, amazing views and staff. Next to subway, right near the river.
The facilities were exceptional and the staff very attentive, polite and smart at all times during our stay.
Top top top drawer
Service world class from arriving to check in Pretty backed off with top floor bar access Had to really work to break through as it was ‘ full’ even as a guest, finally some great staff got me in past the unhelpful lady at the Bar Surprise surprise got there and room all over Ruined an otherwise perfect stay
.
Amazing attraction more than an out and out hotel. Oblix restaurant was buzzing with people and energy which normally I wouldn’t like too much but suited the vibe of the hotel with the stunning view.
Wonderful place to stay in London
Great service Ava nice view . Will book again !
Fantastic hotel
Amazing hotel, wonderful service and staff were super helpful and friendly. Rooms are spacious and super clean.
Although it is a beautiful property, the furniture, walls, carpet, etc are worn, chipped, and seriously need an update. The decorator is average, we were there during its beautifully decorated woodsy/forest theme. Which was stunning and fantastic. But then they switched it to the hotel’s 10 year anniversary with cheesy paper fans, clouds and the pillows were cheap Chinese pillow covering that I didn’t even buy to decorate on my yacht because they looked cheap. I would have thought for a 10 year anniversary it would have outdone the woodsy theme decor prior. The breakfast was adequate but service for coffee and beverage was so slow. We would be half way through finishing our first plate before getting a simple black coffee and orange juice. Would I stay there again… probably not, but I guess I’ve become jaded over hospitality and white glove service after staying at the Josun Palace and Signiel in Seoul, Korea.
Service and attention
Such a beautiful property! We will definitely be back!
Excellent
Difficult … to leave!!
This is as good as it gets. Loved the hotel, service, food, views, bar, all of it.
Amazing building, location and experience. Staff was great and the overall experience is unmatched. highly recommend !
Fabulous view. Wonderful staff. Good food.
Probably the best hotel experience in London
Always happy to stay at the Shangri-La. I stay at a lot of hotels around the world and this place has been top of my list for many years. Staff are professional and courteous and the rooms immaculate plus views to die for. Probably the best breakfast spread too. Am looking forward to my next visit in a couple of months time.
I’ve travelled all over the world and only stay in 5-star properties. Nothing comes close to the Shangi-La at the Shard for views, service, amenities and more.
Fantastic stay - staff were absolutely excellent.
Nice
Amazing stay with fabulous staff
Great
Excellent hotel with fabulous views of the city of London from all rooms. Also beautiful infinity swimming pool. Expensive but worth the price. However breakfast was also expensive but dreadful. The supposedly hot breakfast was stone cold served on cold plates and so not edible. The croissant was so hard it could not be cut. When asked if everything was alright on check out I fedback that the breakfast was inedible, the receptionist apologised but did not refund the cost. So advice is do not eat in the Ping restaurant at Shangri-La
An amazing stay with the family
Amazing place
Incredible stay went over and beyond
Amazing stay
It was an absolutely amazing stay where they have literally thought of everything. Swimming and sauna was amazing and thankfully I got to experience them both in the evening and morning so saw it both lit up and in natural sunlight.
Excellent stay, rooms a bit dated but everything else is pretty much perfect!
Stay was outstanding
Faultless
From the moment we walked in everything went like clockwork. Our room was ready and I even got chocolates delivered to my room, free of charge, as it was my birthday. The city view, pool and breakfast were the highlights for me. We only didn't have an evening meal at the hotel as there are so many options near.
Break
Great welcoming staff and an amazing hotel. What a view!
Probably the best hotel around?
Whats to say about the Shangri-La, outstanding location, service and facilities. Its hard to fault the place and I would recommend everyone tries it at least once in their life. Ive stayed here a number of times now and the staff have always gone out of their way to meet my requests. Thank you once again!
Absolutely amazing!!! Staff was superb!! Very attentive and helpful, it was a pleasure for us staying here.
Shangri Blah
The staff here was amazing, the room and hotel itself could use some updating. The cushions on all seats in the restaurants and lounges need to be deep cleaned or replaced. The offerings at the in house restaurant could be better. The view was spectacular but it definitely leaves a lot to be desired.
Amazing all round, view, breakfast, parking, facilities
The views!!
Attention to detail was missed during our stay
I was there to celebrate my wife's birthday which I contacted guest services in advance. I paid for some extras to make it a little special for her, however, when we arrived they hadn't seen my emails or responded to me prior to our stay and the gift in the room wasn't acknowledged and at the wrong price. The guest relations was however very pleasant and rectified the issues. We had a lovely relaxed time in the hotel, the room was fabulous but the only disappointment was when we had dinner and breakfast we were given poor seating next to columns, not very romantic or comfortable. Not sure when you are required to book a table they allocated us the poor seats. additionally when we booked a table in The GONG bar on Saturday night we were sat right next to a group of men, rather loud. Bearing in mind we were contacted by guest relations in view how they could make our stay special in light of my wife's birthday. Attention to that detail was not great or considered
Tower bridge view is excellent

A child free night away
We had a truly lovely stay at the London SL. The staff were friendly and nicely attentive and assisted us in reserving a relaxing few hours in the spa and a space in the bar for a night cap. The room was beautiful and the view from there and the bathroom was fabulous. Thank you!
