Very good
It was very good. Decent price, good room, nice people, great breakfast..very pleased
Everyone was very friendly
Very nice weekend
Very nice place. I assume at one time this place was hopping! Just not the same vibe as in the good ole days when people were nicer to each other and they celebrated family more. We had a very good time! Thank you
Great place, clean place. Just wish they had an in-room fridge.
Noisy
Very old
Was In theme
Check-in was fast and the girl at the desk was very friendly. The decor is charming and my kids enjoyed all of the Christmas decorations. Room was very clean and the beds are comfortable. We weren’t in the room very much because we were at Holiday World but we would definitely stay here again.
We liked this location and will stay here again. The staff was great. The breakfast was good and we were there at the end. We will bring our own towels next time though because these were thin, rough and not absorbent. Beds were old but comfortable and clean.
Great location, very cute outside and in the lobby. Rooms a little outdated. Would stay again!
Room door would not shut all the way. We could see the hallway lights from our room. Smashed cereal down the hallways. Overall just really outdated and way tooo much $ for the conditions. Bed linens were very stained. Location to holiday world was great but nothing else was appealing.
It was a great place to stay and we really enjoyed it. The breakfast buffet was very good. Enjoyed the fact they had an outside deck where we could relax and that was a nice touch.
Grandma and girls
Building old. Breakfast area cluttered at bottom of stairway. Only good thing was close to the village. One restaurant across parking lot but pizza was toppings on a flat cardboard crust.
The indoor and outdoor pools were very pleasant and enjoyed the spa.
Definitely recommend this place! Very interesting! Love this small little area and every nice people:)! will be coming back soon:))
Went on vacation to Holiday World and stayed here. Older facility but very nice and staff most helpful getting around.
Decent place to stay, just needs updating
Breakfast very good
Very close to holiday world Has included breakfast buffet
It needs updated furniture.. dirty linens left in are room.broken faucet. But they fixed that right awsy
Overpriced
Hotel seems old. It is just a hotel, does not seem like a resort. Booked "deluxe" room, but I can't imagine how it was different from the standard room other than it was $13 more. We were on the floor where many holiday world employees live. Bedding was thrown out in the hallways the whole time we were there. Just didn't seem to match the price we paid. Breakfast buffet was mediocre.
Santa's Lodge was clean, quiet, and comfortable. There's nothing else even remotely close by, so kudos for them providing a decent value for money. If you're going to be staying at Holiday World and don't want to camp or cabin this is about your only decent choice.
It was a clean environment. The beds were comfortable. It was nice and quiet at night, which you don't always get at a hotel anymore.
Location to Holiday World was great, breakfast was good. Had a lot of issues with or room keys not working I had to get them reprogrammed several times because they put us in the wrong room initially. Pool never had towels stocked when we were there. Rooms and beds were good. For as much as they charge they need to put some money back into this place.
While I understood that we weren't going to a major tourist attraction like Disney World or the Gulf Coast in Florida, I still thought maybe this place would have been updated in the last 20 years or so?? We took our 2 young grandsons to Holiday World for 2 days which required a 2-night stay, and we thought staying close to the park would be best as our grandsons are little. The beds were very uncomfortable, the pillows (2/bed) were only big enough for a 3-year-old, the room smelled musty and old, the carpet felt gross to walk on barefooted, the shower head felt like it removed 3 layers of skin with each shower, walls and ceiling were so thin you could hear every movement from other occupants.... While I can appreciate the nostalgia of the decor of the lobby, I don't understand why the rooms haven't been somewhat updated at all. We definitely won't be staying there again.
Cozy spot with year round holiday nostalgia. Super close and convenient to Holiday World. Facility is older but clean with kind and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet had a good variety.
N/A
It was an ok stay all considering it was a lodge. Only bad thing was one of our rooms wasn’t cleaned very good. There was left over candy in the room & a wet towel.
Loved it but hoping for updated beds next time.
Loved the hotel. Breakfast was amazing. Wish it had dinner in the restaurant too though. Close to Holiday World. You could fish in the pond. Indoor & Outdoor pools. Only complaint is that the beds were terrible. Overall though, we liked it.
Loved it
We only stayed one night and spent very little time in the room. The hotel is an older hotel..and it shows some wear and tear. However, the room was clean, which was more important. The beds could use more or bigger pillows.
Amazing customer service! Staff went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of! We will definitely be staying again!
Our rooms were not clean
This property could do with an update. We came 7 years ago and it is just ad we remembered. The Santa theme is cozy, but all thr decor and carpeting is probably from the 80s.
Older model lodge and room. Pool and hot tub could use some maintenance and the beds are a little hard. Staff was extremely friendly and welcomed us.
It was disappointing to find out that there were no paddle boats, zip line and restaurant as advertised. The lodge is in need of an update! The location was great. The staff was friendly. No fridge or microwave in my room. Not worth the money considering the "oldness" and no paddle boats and zip line.
Great
.
This was easily the most disappointing stay at a hotel in recent memory. A $250 room in a place called Santa’s lodge had my daughter as well as my wife and I, quite excited. Imagine our surprise, disappointment and disgust when we arrived and saw it first hand. A very dated and run down facility. Staff was friendly, but the lobby has a weird, dead vibe to it. Everything was closed and I mean everything. There’s no restaurant as I had heard there was, the souvenir shop was closed as well. The hallways are very dated and eerie….almost like a scene from “The Shining”. The decor is outdated and the Christmas decorations are covered in an inch of dust and grime. The room was tiny and hot. The beds were terrible and the tv was the size of one you find in a child’s bedroom with minimal channel offerings. The bathroom was so small you could barely turn around in it. No fridge, no microwave, no ice. Nothing at all available. This place is more like a discount motel that should cost about 60 bucks a night. I will not be back and I will do all I can to ensure that no one I know falls for the same bs I did when booking this room. The preview made this sound like a Christmas wonderland. It was more like a holiday in hell.
Property was outdated.
Very good hotel.
Convenient to Holiday World. No microwave. No refrigerator. Dated facility. Beds are cheap and noisy, not what you'd expect for the price. Rooms are dark and minimal.
Great!
Good drive distance to Holiday World
.
Both my husband and myself loved our stay at Santa’s Lodge. The hospitality of the ladies working the front desk was amazing. From the moment we checked in until we checked out this morning. We will definitely tell our family and friends about this wonderful little town and all the great people .
We always enjoy our stay in Santa's Lodge! This last visit though was probably our best yet. The check in lady was very nice and more than accommodating. Especially when we found out the air in our room wasn't working. She immediately switched our rooms no questions asked. We also spent a good conversation talking about living in the area. We're tentatively planning on moving down that way and it was nice to get more family related information. We can't wait to come back in a few weeks with friends!
Great for families!

What a great find! This is a very large and well maintained hotel in Santa Claus; it was a delight! We stayed for the eclipse, and it was just perfect for our family.
Eclipse 2024
We loved our short stay at Santa's Lodge. It is older but it was very clean and the staff was friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
Santa themed
Skip the breakfast. Clean but showing wear.
Nice specialty stop
A cute Christmas themed hotel. I visited off season so amenities like vending machines were understandably limited, but there was still a small continental breakfast. Other services were good and the building and rooms were clean. My only negatives would be that the sink is outside a rather small bathroom, and the shower curtain needs magnets to hold it in place. Not a modern hotel but has free wi-fi & ample parking, and is in theme with the town.
Everything is very old, bed was not comfortable
Great for a family stay
We loved our stay at Santa’s Lodge! The people were nice, we had lots of privacy and the room was clean! The only thing they could improve upon would be a little more selection for breakfast and possibly softer beds.
Fair stay/wouldnt say no could be a smidge better
Decent place to stay. a few items put this into the fair category for us. 2 Doubles would have been nice in the family suite to have a double queen option. Disappointed the hot tub heater in the pool was out. Breakfast food quality was fair (eggs and juice tasted a bit off) and tables could have been cleaned a bit better in restaurant (sticky). Staff was friendly and responsive to our needs when asked. so just up the attention to detail a bit and this would be a great place.
Could be very cute
This place is run down and needs some TLC updated. It would be super cute if all rooms had great beds and decorated with Christmas cheer. Breakfast needs some protein choices for people who are diabetic.
Mattress is terrible. Had to lift up on the door to lock it securely when the locks poor breakfast inadequate as people come in carrying milk muffins served frozen no coffee 30 minutes after breakfast starts. Was told it gets better around 9. Nowhere to put luggage in room besides Floor. Sparse, decorations and lighting outside basically completely different than what’s advertised
Big family rooms!
We got the family room, it was big and roomy, perfect for 6 people BUT it was dated and the beds were hard! Rooms were very clean and very close to Holiday World! If the beds had been better, definitely would have been worth the money, as is a little overpriced!
We had a great time!
Overall we had a great stay. The kiddos love it. The staff was all super nice. It was a little dated but we still loved it and would go back.
It was a good experience, even though the hotel is outdated. The staff was great, but the whole hotel needs to be torn down and a new one built . That there would improve tourism. I’m, not trying to be rude or mean, just the hotel is too outdated. I would suggest staying at Santa’s Cottages.
Back parking lot needs some work on the pavement.
Hope to see this place get some updates
It is definitely very outdated and in need of some upgrades like new bedding, New carpet etc. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was ok.
Breat and unique place to stay
The room smelled musky when we entered. The toilet in our room kept running and we had to constantly fix it, the refrigerator had a loud humming, the pull out bed was extremely uncomfortable and the beds were also uncomfortable. Very disappointed in the Lodge accommodations.
Dirty and very outdated!
Average older lodge
Room could have definitely been cleaned better. When we arrived there were leftover chips on the floor and a toy that was left there under the edge of the bed. Other than that all around a good place to stay.
They had lots of different hang out spots around the property and the staff was super friendly!
Close
The building is dated, the hot tub was broken the beds were horrible. It is close to the park. The other people were just rude they actually made fun of my handicap son and my daughter was mad. The staff were nice the breakfast was horrible. The outside pool needs work. And check in was a nightmare. The place needs work .
The best hotel in the area. A little old school, but has charm and the breakfast is a nice touch.
Staff were friendly and accommodating. Pools and hot tub were nice. Large dining area. Only one ice machine that didn’t work. No hot water for tea or hot chocolate ant breakfast. Only coffee. Although after going back up the stairs to find someone, they did get me hot water. No elevators to access lower level dining area. Only handicap access is outside. Very limited breakfast buffet. No fruit. No bacon. Hot food was eggs, sausage and biscuits/ gravy. Looked forward to frosty restaurant next door that was listed on website to find out no longer in business. Needs a good cleaning and desperate for updating all around.
We stayed one night. The beds were very comfortable. Of course the theme is Christmas. It needs to be updated.
The cons: The property needs updating. The pool had paint coming off of the edges, the beds were not ver comfortable, and the staff could not give us extra pillows upon request because they were “out of pillows”. The pillows we did have were not fluffy - they were flat pillows. The floors were creaky and aesthetic could be updated. Also, this has nothing to do with the hotel, but if you’re looking for dining and extracurricular activities, don’t get your hopes up. There is NOTHING in the area. Just FYI. The pros: The Christmas decorations were cute, the staff was friendly, the free continental breakfast every morning was convenient, the closeness to Holiday World is perfect, and they had a cute little gift shop. The indoor pool and hot tub along with the outdoor pool was very nice.

Super cute
Even with it being off season it was a great place to stay the night. Love the charm from the Christmas decor. Comfortable bed, relax indoor pool and hot tub, friendly staff, and tasty breakfast
