This property is as close to nature as you can possibly imagine. Staff are so welcoming and friendly. Resort is very relaxing.

A great choice of different pools to where you can relax, have a drink and meet people. Having access to both sides of the resort was great via a short bus ride. There are quite a few restaurants options, however, we found only the sushi restaurant really stood out. There’s a speakeasy as well, which is fun. The bartenders at the swim up bars can seem a little gruff and uninterested, but that’s our only critique. The hospitality staff were friendly and excellent.

Beautiful property

One of the best stays we had in Ochi! Nothing to complain about but everything to rave about! Clean spacious rooms, great service by great staff, great food choices and plentiful drinks!

Great location, but the communication was not good. Had no running water for over 5 hours, and there was no communication as to why and when. It was not until I went to front desk that they mentioned that they turned off the water . That included no running water to use the bathrooms, which were pretty rough as people left surprises in the public washrooms. Also had a terrible time at the Japanese restaurant. We were no served for 1.5 hours and I had to go to management. They were understaffed and I believe overbooked, with 3 chefs and over 8 tables with a lot of patrons. That was not the service I would be expecting at Sandals especially for the price I paid for me and my wife. I expect that at other resorts but not sandals. Again the staff were good, but communication and the restaurant is where the rating was bad for us.

From stepping off the plane, to the complimentary lounge, transport, and arriving was amazing. The staff was accommodating, the food was delicious, the speakeasy was lit, and my party enjoyed their stay. THANK YOU, this trip was special.

I love everything!

Had a great stay at Sandals Ochi.The check in was flawless,so many food options,the shuttle to the different hotels was very convenient and efficient,the staff was very friendly and helpful,had a tour of the property with Aaliyah who was very professional,friendly and very informative,love it.

One out of the 2 butlers were decent the first butler did practically nothing

This place was boring, not enough entertainment and food was mediocre. Needs better action activities and coordination better food. No worth the money that you pay to get to this resort.

Disappointed in my old favourite hotel

Used to be a huge fan of sandals with the Pride of Jamaican ownership. Unfortunately this property has lost its way by being very understaffed from restaurants to delivery water to the room. Missing its old personal touch and vip flare that I’d promote to others of when asked where to visit in Jamaica . Lacking its charm that it had for several years. I don’t blame the workers as they were all very pleasant and handled complaints professionally but rather the senior management of this property who need to decide whether reviews matter to them because they aren’t listening and not once did they reach out to me during my stay even when requested that of them. Lastly my loyalty status since 2009 wasn’t even recognized and I now agree with the poor reviews over the last few years.

A little dated but overall great resort! Great entertainment teams doing amphitheater shows at night, great food and friendly staff!

Great Resort

This was by far one of the best vacations we've had. We had the villa with the Butler service. The food was delicious, all the staff members were exceptionally nice and very knowledgeable.

I was there for a wedding. I landed on Friday at 11:04am - United. I believe we boarded the at 11:25am. I didn't expect the Sandals bus will take a little over 3 hours to get the resort. The stop and then a passenger wanted to stop at a ATM which took another 20 minutes. I arrived at the resort at 2:45pm. The welcome reception for the wedding guest was 3pm at the Dunns River sandals. My room wasn't ready so i asked if they can get me into a room, because my bus to take me to Sandals Dunn Rivers will be here at 3pm. I told the front desk lady that I'm late because your sandals bus took forever to get here. Outside of the above, I had to get my room switch on Saturday, because my phone didn't work for me to call out to the front desk, room service, gym, etc.... Also the bathroom facet did not work, the water was didn't come out, I had to use the tub to brush my teeth and wash my face.

Five stars all the way.

Sandals Ochi is a beautiful property with a good range of included activities, friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. There is a HUGE amount of dining options. We weren't able to visit every restaurant during our week-long stay. Would definitely choose Sandals again in the future.

Great trip

Staff were fantastic. Food was good but some of the restaurants weren't open when they said they would be. Condition of pools was below average. Both my wife and I cut our feet on broken tiles on the pool bottom. Could hear everyone revving their engines on the street outside the resort.

Hotel was very dirty. My husband and I booked an all inclusive for our anniversary which should have been couples only and there were children running around. The room was dirty we were denied room service for cleaning. We were denied clean towels and clean sheets throughout our whole stay, we had to keep asking for new towels, the floors were filthy we came into a new room. Upon arrival the sheets were already dirty and stain with food marks on them. We had to request someone to come into the room and clean it again. The refrigerator was not stopped throughout or stay there was limited options for food . The beach was covered in stones and rocks with made it difficult for us to walk on the beach or enter the ocean, the boardwalk on the beach is condemned, and the wood is falling into the ocean. The cabanas on top of the boardwalk is also condemned and falling as well, which Made it unsafe, and it was blocked off, so that we couldn’t walk the boardwalk there were wires hanging out of one of the rest restaurant that was uncovered, which also made it unsafe because the restaurant is right by the ocean so if you did get into the ocean and you’re wet and you’re walking into this establishment, we purchase a balcony with a garden view that was false. It wasn’t a garden view. It was a pool surrounded by trees. The restaurant was flooded with stray cats that was entering in and out of the kitchen, jumping on tables and chairs. No wifi the entire stay.

Enjoyed immensely

We spent a week at Sandals Ochi, and had a fantastic time. My only complaint would be that the main pool with the swim up bar on the beach side needs to be completely refurbished, many many tiles are missing and it just looks terrible. Staff is wonderful, food and drinks where great. So many dining options, hope to go back next year.

This was our first time staying at a sandals resort. The staff was great. However that’s where it ends. There is no Caribbean vibe. I wish I could add pics, broken furniture in the rooms. The hallways had both mold and bleach stains in the carpets. Bars are limited. Food is avg at best. To say the least we were not happy with the resort.

A complete package. Enjoyed the stay the staff friendly and helpful, safe and clean environment. Lots of activities to keep you occupied. The food and restaurants were great. Would definitely stay on our next visit.

Do your research before you book ocean view room at the Sandals Ocho, Great House. The Great house ocean view room is NOT ocean view and the information about it online is misleading. The ocean view is very far because you are practically on a mountain across the street from the beach and the view is panoramic and obstructed by trees. I told the lady that brought us to the room about my dissatisfaction and she said she will ask if they can move us but no one responded in two days. She did not tell us about the orientation so we had to learn to find our way. Tried to call room service and the phone rang with no answer so we gave up on that. No snacks in the room fridge; just a couple of beers, water, pop, and two bottles of wine in the room. they were power washing the roof by the pool and that was very annoying. Hardly any staff at the pool to get drinks or food orders, you need to get your own. No dessert or coffee shops. Coffee machines and jars of cookies available. Food at the walk in restaurants is mediocre. Reservations only restaurants, Kelly’s was good but Valentino was not. I ate a raw shrimp in a skewer at Neptune. Glad I did not get sick. Maxine in guest experience moved us to a much better beach ocean view room and gave us 200 credit which was nice . No wifi in the room though. The beach bar is right below on the first floor and music was loud way past midnight. Property and furniture need updating. She said they started updates on the top floors.

The property needs updating. The bathroom tub has stains. The carpet in the hallway is dirty. The Sky dining room floor close to the kitchen is always greasy. I have seen many near accidents from the greasy for both guests and workers. The workers try to keep the place clean and tidy but there is little that can be done from lack of property maintenance. The New Year's Eve party was great.

Such an amazing stay! The resort was awesome. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive and welcoming!

Enjoyed our stay at Sandals Ochi and the resort, entertainment, and activities. Pros Most of the food was good Lots of activities Butler service was solid Room was adequately stocked and cleaned Steel drum band was the best show I’ve ever seen! Cons Drinks were ‘mid’ Not enough chairs for seating around pool or beach unless you got there early. The entertainment staff was way too pushy and didn’t like ‘no’ for participation. May be the culture but no means no. Not everyone wants to participate. Other notes: You have to take a shuttle to hilltop and then seaside anytime You are involved with activities or dining. It came often but does take a lot of time out of your stay. Lots of bees around the bar but everyone got used to it. Staff were friendly but entertainment staff as I said before was real pushy. Be prepared for their extreme persistence. Italian was really good. Very clean but expect bugs everywhere you go (including rooms). They can’t help ALL the bugs. It’s not too invasive.

The staff at this resort were amazing! The hotel is outdated but some rooms are getting updated. The bed we had was absolutely the worst we have have stayed on- like a super 8 mattress in a supposedly 5 star resort. Food was decent and never had an issue with any lines. Drinks overall were very good and they were always willing to make you whatever you needed. If you don't like stairs this is not the resort for you as it's on a hill.

Thisnwas me & my fiance first time staying at Sandals Resort & it was a very beautiful experience. Already planning to do it again.

Long waits for food in most restaurants. Dinners room approximately 2.5 hours at both Le Gourmet and Seaside. Food was below average considering the wait. Website was incorrect in location of Le Gourmet and menus didn’t match. Staff left a little to desire in knowledge several times we got different directions from different staff members. Some staff members were great though especially Andrew at the pool bar . Mini bar was only filled completely on one occasion during the 4 night stay. Initially we came into the room with a bottle of wine at the mini bar after we consumed the wine relaxing the first night it was never replaced.

We had a horrible time trying to celebrate our honeymoon. Everyday was another problem we had to deal with. We had no hot water for 3 days the DJs would end music by 11pm even on Friday and Saturdays. Stay somewhere else the only great thing we had was our maid she was amazing.

We had a great stay, the staff is so friendly and laid back. My first all inclusive and first trip to Jamaica so I can’t compare it to other stays but we met a couple that has gone there every year for 15 years!!!! The event staff made all the events so fun. Our room was always clean, possibly recently remodeled because it looked more up to date aesthetically but all the rooms were nice in our group. The rooms in the Riviera building are big and conveniently located. I would stay again!

Great staff great food....

Staff is terrible. They switched my room halfway through the trip, even though I booked 6 nights in one spot. They blamed me for booking through Expedia instead of taking the blame. Very rude people, did not care they were messing up my trip

The staff were so nice and accommodating.

Noisy with pop music blaring most day and night in nearly every area; food was very average and often items not available on the menu; half the staff seemed they didn’t want to be there; everything had a rule with no judgement applied; dirty swimming pools; doing any trip was excessively expensive; not worth the cost.

This resort was overrun by cats, they were literally everywhere. It was really disturbing to see them in the restaurants, I think that is so unsanitary. People were feeding them and they felt too comfortable walking around like they owned the place. My bathroom was also covered in ants. Property definitely needs a makeover.

The property and service was awesome. The butlers were great. They helped us navigate our way around the property, made great dining suggestions and transported us to and from our room. Great personalities and service. We had an ant infestation in our clothes closet and could not put our clothes in it. They sprayed the second night and mostly resolved the problem. Minor inconvenience compared to the wonderful time we spent at the resort. Will highly recommend it for couples stay.

This was a dream come true. I recently retired and Sandals was my choice to celebrate my retirement and 42 years of marriage. You have the most friendly workers ever. They were genuine, pleasant and outstanding. The rooms had the best mattress ever. The ocean was as close as opening our balcony doors.

Had a really great experience at Sandals Ochi. The staff is very welcoming and polite. The resort is a bit outdated but it’s still nice and clean and convenient. Did not have one problem on my stay. Food was really good specially the restaurants that you had to reserve. Drinks were really good, they can make you pretty much whatever you ask for. One stand out employee was Jason from the pool bar. Great personality and very welcoming. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and I will visit again.

unhappy at staffing levels

Just beautiful property. Well maintained. Food good and interesting. Would be difficult for those with mobility limitations. Stairs everywhere. Staff friendly and helpful but uninformed. Got incorrect information about hours, entertainment etc. Water bottles everywhere and no recycling. Unecessary b/c water is safe and good tasting. Cocktails creative and usually tasty. Music and entertainment wonderful. Something for everyone. Would go back for sure.

The Property states that it is 5 star but inorder to be 5 star the property needs to be remolded and the pools are in need of tiles and plaster also the pools need to be cleaned more offen. The property also states that they have premium liquor Jack Daniels and Jamerson was there so called premium top shelf liquor and the beer selection was mainly one local Overall we have been to a number of inclsive locations and I would rate this location at 3.5 stars.

The staff was super helpful, friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nice and clean (bathroom a bit outdated and the tub is a bit of a hassle to get in & out especially for short people!!) The restaurants were nice, food tasted ok but did the job…more/varied food choices would be even better. Love that this is an adults only resort.

Very nice! Rooms need upgrading

- could not find our room - employee had to ask another employee for assistance - On arrival - went to Tapas restaurant - server not friendly - told to us to order at the kitchen instead of seating us first (long day for us) - Toilet not flushing well - Housekeeping was not consistent-no turn over for 3 nights of our stay. Forgot to bring bath mats for floor, had to request towels on first night - Service at Vista - drinks brought to us at the end of our meal, put cheese on omelet without asking, did not ask what sauce to put in the pasta and instead of re doing the pasta, 2 sauces were combined - No hand Santizer at the gym- an issue since no bathroom in close vicinity - Manor restaurant- table was unsteady and tipped easily, no bread served (other tables given bread), wrong appetizer served, asked for wine- none given, asked for other drinks - told “no glasses available and to go to bar to get drinks” - Tv not working well- lines visible in the screen hindered viewing - Internet service was slow - Not properly informed of events eg chocolate night - We asked for a bottle of wine to be sent to our room- never received - Quiet Pool and hot tub cluttered with leaves. Etc - other guests and ourselves removing debris from pool

I liked pizza restaurant. I did not like the fact that pools close at 6pm.

Overall i loved my time here. Only one downside and thats the bed, was not very comfortable, sounded as if it was going to break with every movement. Not a comfortable mattress at all

Very disappointed! Overrated!!! We stood on the Riviera Sea side. First time at a Sandals and I was expecting better service, cleaner property and a higher end feel. Not that it was super expensive but based on what I’ve heard about Sandals. Let’s start with check in. We got there a little early and could not check in on time, they were an hour late. We couldn’t make dinner reservations online and when you get there everything is already booked and the lady helping you is as rude as it gets, she could care less. Pools are dirty, cloudy and full of sand. But I would say, the most disappointing factor was the unfriendly staff, not all but a lot. You wait at the Ochi beach club pool bar forever because they attend to the people want to, they walk by you and just ignore you. There are about 20 chairs available to use for everyone by the pool and they make you pay to reserve all the beds and chairs by the bed, so most people won’t pay and they stay unused all day, just poor service! The hotel is built with a million stairs so we heard from some of the older and heavier travelers how hard it was for them, they would have to walk to the front area to catch the bus to be able to get to the next area which is really steps away. On a good note, food is good and they keep your mini bar stocked

A lot of variety of things to do and so many different restaurants to choose from. Loved that the docks sat on a starting reef where you could see fish, crabs and other ocean life. Very talented workers and impressive nighttime shows. Workers were so inviting and happy, with only one exception. There was a distinct noticible difference at the Neptune restaurant - staff did not appear happy and were not friendly like the rest of the resort, although had impeccable food. Overall, would absolutely recommend Sandahls Ochi!

The grounds were well kept. This is NOT a 5 star resort. Service was poor. Staff acted like robots reading from cue cards. Food was mediocre at best, even at top rated restaurants, other places took 40 minutes everywhere else minimum. WiFi was non existent. I ended up using my own carriers international service at $20 USD a day. Bed felt like a box spring. Staff left our door open after turn down service. Music was constant rap music boocha boocha boocha. Try smooth jazz, Latin dance, etc.. beaches were teeny, nothing like ad pics. Did I mention staff wanted to be anywhere but the resort. I have paid less money for a stay in London, Singapore, Paris, Bermuda, etc... Value for dollar is not here. I don't recommend, nor will I return

Beautiful beaches, great pools, wonderful scenery!

This property is a little dated but it is beautiful. Lots of options for entertainment, food and activities. I would provide better lighting in the bathroom and room area. I would also provide more options for Breakfast and earlier opening times for those who are early risers.

Overall our stay was great! If you are a young couple you will feel out of place. Alot of older folks who may be retired. All inclusive isn't all inclusive. You have to pay extra for a lot of things.

The food and drinks were good. All the staff was nice and professional. The only issue we had was with our room door. We got locked out twice They made a mistake and took us to the wrong room and the first night we had to wait for 2 hours before we can get to our room and it was raining. The room needs some update especialy the floor. Overall it was a great experience. I will definitely go back.

Beautiful property. Lots to do, it’s like 3 different resorts in one. Entertainment people do a great job.

The water pump noise did not let us sleep in the night for 3 nights. Although we asked for changing room at the first day but they changed it after 3 days. From 16 restaurants non of them is open for those people who are checking out early morning. Although we paid for whole 5 days all inclusive.

I never leave reviews but feel that people work hard for a great vacation and deserve to know if their spending the money at a place that fits there needs. This place did not fit for us and I believe for good reason. My husband and I took a 7 Day vacation to this resort. 1.The room was small and needed updated. The shower was terrible and we had problems with it all week. 2. We got 0 rest. Why ? Our room was by the Piano Bar in bottom floor. The restaurant did dishes out of there all day. We try to nap daily while on vacation. But this was not happening as we could only here clattering of dishes all day. Also. I would have the, Do not disturb in door and turn down service or cleaning lady would call out room to see if we answered. (Weird to say the least) Every time you turn around someone is asking to take your pictures! 3.The food was not good and the same things in the menu at all. Most of the time the restaurants were closed. You would have to go to the pizza place and one other place to get food. I seen and talked to many that we’re staying there felt the same way. I did talk to some that loved it . But most didn’t . 4. Service was terrible on the beach. No towels for you to use until 10 we were told. And true because we couldn’t find any. I could go on and on. But that will do I think. Except I do want to mention that they catered to travel agents and or people they wanted for time share with food and drinks everyday .

Did not get the room I reserved. Hotel room was nasty, smelly, dirty and outdated.

Dated. For the money you pay, HARD PASS

The staff at the resort were absolutely incredible, but the whole stay was let down by a generally poorly managed resort. It felt like we were being scammed with hard-sales techniques throughout the entire stay, with the resort trying to extract as much money from us as possible, despite being an all-inclusive resort. The whole environment just screamed “America” and not Jamaica, which is a real shame when there is an entire beautiful country and culture that could be showcased at a resort like this.

The resort is very clean, and the service is excellent. However, I was disappointed that it was devoid of authentic Jamaican culture. There was not a variety of Jamaican cuisine and most of the music was western music. I have visited several resorts in Jamaica in the past and at almost all of them I was immersed into the Jamaican culture, the food and music. Sandals Ochi. needs to improve on their Jamaican experience. Also, the internet service is the worst I have ever experienced at any foreign resort in the Caribbean. Even after I switched to premium my internet service was still slow. This needs to change because as businesspeople visit, they rely on the internet service to access their company information which I could not do.

Everyone was extremely nice and caring on the property. The common greeting of the day was not uncommon to hear at every turn. The shuttle to the airport is not planned correctly due to the unorganized mess that the Montego Bay airport is. Shuttle should be more like 3-4 hours before flight time rather than 2 just to ensure ample time to check in and board flights.

Overall the property and stay was just ok. I was there for a wedding but it would not be a property I would book on my own. The food was subpar (best thing was breakfast) the staff were not that friendly outside our housekeeper who was fantastic! The bed was hard & way to high, I'm 5'7" & I hit my leg every time getting in & out of bed. Every restaurant needed a reservation except one Vista Sky, although when u get to the restaurants you can see empty tables, but then the hostess would have an attitude & say they will try to squeeze you in when there is nobody there. The beach was full rocks on the pier side but the side where the hobbie cats were, sand was smooth. Bring plenty of bug repellent, the property is surrounded in trees & the bugs ruined most of our outdoor dinning experiences, not to mention the cats that roam around the property, they are literally everywhere! Sandals is a long time brand, but this property needs a lot of updates, friendlier staff, better food, and stronger drinks. Please be aware if you book one of the upgraded rooms like the butler suite or the one with the pool with a description of ocean view, that you be no where near the ocean. You will have a view of it but will need to take a shuttle to get to it. The "butler" should really be called a transportation concierge or something becuz he literally just takes u from your room to the shuttle not even to the beachside, nothing else! The layout of this property has a lot to be desired.

I absolutely loved our time at the Property!! The staff was amazingly friendly. Food was really good! If I were to make suggestions, I would have liked an area with music for our generation ( a variety of eras) and more Jamaican music. The music was often very loud! I also missed having paper towels in the bathroom. Oh… and an easier way to find out about events than just the TV screen at the lobby entry. Overall… it was AWESOME!!!!

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Sandals ochi. Property was very dated and room felt like a cheap motel. We had to take a bus to the beach. Food was mediocre and some was inedible. Drinks were good overall. Service was extremely slow- all food took 45min-over 1 hour to receive after ordered, even lunch. We did not like the no tipping policy and felt like this was contributing to the slow service.

This was the best vacation we have ever had! Very clean and friendly environment with beautiful views. The entire staff was wonderful, but there were a few who were just wonderful. Sanomi checked us in and out. She was beautiful and made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped onto the property. Mark at the pool was awesome! We looked forward to talking to him every day. He got us everything we needed. Chellomet kept our room spotless and always surprised us with the animals and other things she would make out of our towels. Best housekeeper we have ever had! Channiel was with the entertainment team and spread energy and happiness everywhere he went. Sanya helped us book all of our dinner reservations with ease. And last, but NOT least, Kelly’s Dockside was the best restaurant we dined at in the resort. The food was great, but our server, Roshane, was the best server we have ever had anywhere! Friendly, funny, prompt, courteous, and just all around awesome! We can’t wait to come back to Jamaica! Sandals Ochi is absolutely wonderful!!

I love the way everyone is happy to greet me and happy to assist you with whatever. The workers are what truly made it exceptional.

Sandals ochi is in close proximity to all the attractions which makes it a desirable location to stay. In room was dinning difficult to get a hold off. Butler service was average, nothing special but butler will ask for gratituty at checkout. Soy restaurant chef Richard was very accomodating in producing delicious vegetarian food. We loved his food and chef at kellys restaurant made an awesome tofu dish to accommodate us. Showers take long time to get warm water. Friendly people working throughout Sandals. Very good options of water activities on site. Overall good stay.
