Terrible room view. Not as fancy as other resorts I’ve stayed out. Reservation dinners were average. Long wait at one reservation restaurant due to overbooking. I like the casual atmosphere of this resort though. Superbowl party was above and beyond
Good beach, Excellent dining options 24 hr gym Some areas if hotel could be better maintained such as the pool areas
Kelvin with the entertainment staff was awesome the guy was so much fun and lead my wife and I to many fun events and treated us like his best friend can’t say enough about this place and its staff absolutely amazing
Great property, food and drinks were just average and rooms could use some updating in comparison to other all inclusive resorts we’ve been to.
Beautiful hotel overall, room was nice (Pigeon Island building with Atlantic view) but bathroom needed updating. Shower was not all tile, had a traditional white tub and the caulk around faucet was failing making the faucet start to fall off. Was disappointed at check in, paid for ocean view expecting a view of the Caribbean but had an Atlantic view that includes a close road where you will hear locals playing loud music late at night and see cars passing by. Tried to swap to a Caribbean view room but was told it was $800 upcharge per night. Pool area is very nice as well as the beach. Calm water and nice sand. Pigeon Island is right next door so you can walk over and climb the mountains which has awesome views. Food is good, Gordons had awesome Snapper. Book reservations for it right when you get there, we had to wait 4 days to get the first one available.
I don’t usually rate like this. I will start with the long scary drive from the airport. Staff is trained to be polite but seldom look at you when speaking, so you are not sure if they are speaking to you. They are barely audible. The service at the beach is nonexistent and outdoor restaurants are less than satisfactory. The food was precooked and dry. And it took forever to be served. We will not be visiting Sandals again. It was our 40th anniversary they didn’t do anything special for us, they kind of ruined it. 🙁
Appreciate how easy it is to book and travel, transportation, restaurants, activities and accommodations are all taken care of and it’s so easy. The property is very nice, the restaurant options are great and food was really good. Wait times to be seated (or greeted) and for food can be long. I liked that you could leave the resort and there was lots to do. Excursions were really well run (do the Soufreire experience with the speed boat. It’s a great day). Nit picky - but here are my negatives just assume that special requests, will not be made, I tried to arrange for a few things before travel , called and sent messages prior to arriving 3 times and was told yes, but arrived to not have those requests meet. I also had an issue with a billing error (double charged) and it took multiple requests to get fixed, not a huge deal just something to be aware of). I’d also note that some of hotel staff are more friendly than others and it can be a little rough while getting into vacation mode. guests go out early and put towels on chairs which results in there was often no free pool chairs, by afternoon. Seems like they could add some more chairs and not allow for ‘saving’ Overall it’s a gorgeous island and I enjoyed the trip, I might just not be an all inclusive person.
Beautiful hotel
We celebrated our honeymoon at this resort and everything has been absolutely perfect. The staff came into our room to clean 2-3 times a day, every time we entered our room it was cleaned and the bed was made! They also said good morning/afternoon/evening/night every time we passed them or interacted with them. Everyone was super sweet to us. The only thing I would change is to have more shaded areas (i.e. a lot of chairs by the pool or beach didn't have any shade covering at all), it would be nice if there was an option for the guest to choose whether or not they want to have the umbrella up or down. A couple of notes for future goers: Seats get taken up early in the morning for the beach and the main pool! So come early :) We did once go early and reserved a really nice spot at the beach but a girl and her mom occupied it before we got there while we were changing into our swim suits :( The buffet (Bayside Restaurant) during breakfast and lunch has a lot of birds standing by waiting for someone to leave for them to start scavenging. It was a bit of a turn off but not sure if there is anything that anyone can do about that! We went during September (23-29) and the weather was still lovely, we did get showers every now and then but still got a lot of sun! It was actually nice to have some overcast periods as the temperature without the sun is already warm!
The facilities were clean, well kept and excellent overall. There were picturesque spots for relaxation everywhere so it was never overcrowded in any one area. We took full advantage of the water sports which we thoroughly enjoyed. The food was okay. There were lots of options but we felt that it lacked flavour. The service was not what we experienced at other Sandals or even other resorts. Some staff were very friendly and helpful, others seemed to be very unhappy and that resulted in sub-par service. Overall it was a good stay, but the service definitely needs improvement.
Excellent
Best food and adults only stay!
The Sandals Resort was a huge disappointment. Upon arrival, we were not helped out at all with our luggage, rushed into spa treatments and other excursions, and not welcomed as we would have expected from the price we paid to be there. The staff was very rude when we did not immediately buy anything and shuffled off to our room. We selected the Club Penthouse and there was no difference in treatment or amenities. We practically had to beg and ask for everything, all to be treated poorly for asking. The drinks were terrible and often had bugs or lipsticks in/on the plastic cups. While trying to enjoy the pool, we were left with no towels. Restaurants were completely booked and almost impossible to get the Culinary assistant to help as she was never at the office and if she was, you get completely ignored for 5 minutes while she takes personal calls. The rooms are very outdated. No one knew anything about the resort or the excursions, we often got bounced around and received different information from everyone on staff that we spoke with. This was truly a huge disappointment and felt like we w the robbed. We absolutely got ripped off and treated poorly. We will never, ever be returning to St Lucia or another Sandals resort. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!
Not worth money - very very poor service
Not the same Sandals brand that it used to be and Defiantely not worth the price. Much more worthwhile to try the different resorts on the island. Service - ground level staff are uninterested when you escalate to management you get some traction but you will spend half your time escalating issues to management Amenities - there is a large number of restaurants and the food is good but as above, when the service lets you down then everything is not worthwhile.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at sandals grande where we celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. The staff and property provided a pampered experience.
The service was impeccable. Very clean and everyone was so helpful.
Rudeness and racism
Too many guys walking up and down th n each trying to sell excursions. It's annoying. Our concierge person was wonderful.
Enjoyed the location, beach, and the all inclusive convenience. Felt the food could have been better overall especially for the cost of staying here. Also, the solicitors at the beach shouldn’t be allowed to bother the guests, as they are also selling drugs. Made us feel very unsafe and uncomfortable. Even asked us to get food and drinks for them! Additionally, the shuttle driver back to the airport made several stops picking up wads of cash and picking up and dropping up little black bags. Unprofessional and unsafe!
Great!
All the staff is incredible!!
nightly entertainment was not good in comparison to other places i have stayed
We were forced to stay an extra 3 days due to the hurricane. I had to spend $500 a night extra for the stay which wasn’t our fault. Our flight was pushed back 4 days but had to spend another $1100 dollars to get out earlier than our rescheduled flight. Property was great but during the extra few days all the amenities were available and the food options were very limited. Hopefully Sandals Grand Lucia reaches out to me and offers me some kind of comps or compensation. booking number SGLR2l08K7
Dry relaxing area for smokers
Nice but definitely overrated…a dinner buffet would be good
This hotel is not a 5 stars hotel. The rooms need to be remodeled and the attention to the cleaning needs to improved. The restaurant where you need a reservation are nice and food is food. The other restaurants food is ok but not great. If you want a drink in the pool area you need to go to the bar because there’s no waitress to bring you anything. Again not a 5 stars hotel. We have been in places where the service, food, cleanliness is great for less money.
When I checked in the room that I was given is not the room that I had paid for. Very disappointed the view was terrible. I called Expidia spoke to someone to see if they could contact hotel was put on hold for ever and then the call was dropped. The second day when and spoke with the staff to see if they could change me from room. They ended up switching me the 3rd day. It was just a terrible experience. Would I ever book Sandals again? Definitely NO.
Been to several Sandals Resorts. This one lived up to the same quality. The on site entertainment was great. The Liquor choices were premium if that is what you werr kooking for. Heineken and the local brand Piton were the beer choices, unless you went to the pub and you could get bottles of Stella. The rooms were nice and clean, and you were able to keep them cold. Lots of water activities were available. Overall a great time.
The staff were welcoming and very personable. We enjoyed our week and look forward to visiting again.
Staff friendly. Foot was average. Weather great. Golf staff lost one of my clubs- I left the bag overnight. A different club was in my cover. I took it up with the golf staff. So far the club was not found. I think I need reimbursement. It was an 6 month old calloway rougue 3 hybrid.
What an overrated hotel chain the Sandals hotels are. You see those tv commercials and thinking, wow what a nice hotel….but it’s absolutely NOT what you see in the commercials. We stayed for a week in both Sandals in St.Lucia and Grenada. It was terrible services on both resorts. You can feel the staff are fed up with the tourists…In Sandals Grande in St.Lucia you could get drinks at the beach or pool, but NOT a bottle of water… You had to go all the way to reception at the hotel lobby to get water. And one day they were out of bottled water even at the reception… they were keep telling us to come back in 30 minutes for the water…..and when we start to questioning how could a hotel charging so much per night can be without any water…..the feeling we got from the people in front desk was like “it is what it is”…..after few hours waiting we approached the hotel manager at Sandals Grande in St.Lucia…nice person…he had to go to his office to get us bottled water (this story is not a joke…this really happened at very expensive hotel). As I mentioned in beginning, Sandals are overrated hotel, specially the one in St.Lucia….terrible service, rude staff, average hotel rooms. The hotel had 2 nicer restaurants, but you had to be lucky if you could dine there since you have to make reservations early in the morning and they gave whatever dinner time they had for yo…not so much choice you have. I have been in many all inclusive hotels…this was BAD experience.
Vacation without moving too much
Pros: St. Lucia is a beautiful island. The resort grounds are nice and the views beautiful. Pigeon island was a convienent hike with great views. The food we ate was all delicious, especially the seafood. We did a great boat excursion to the tourist spots (not the one through the hotel). Cons: The amenities were lacking a bit for the price: there were no snacks available and no buffet after breakfast, so you had to take time for a sit down meal every time you wanted to eat. The staff was mostly very friendly, but all restaurants and bars seemed desperately understaffed. This resulted in long waits for service. Otherwise nothing “bad” to report, but just no special touches that we have come to expect when staying at an all inclusive resort, particularly at this price point.
The bed bugs.
Very nice location/excellent service
The manager Zidan went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible. We got a $250 voucher due to a problem with our original room but we were upgraded for the first night and Zidan made the transition to our next room seemless. We enjoyed spa treatments with the voucher and thoroughly enjoyed the new years festivities. They do an excellent job there!
We got married here this past week and the wedding itself was an absolute dream. The wedding team was great. Lynn, our wedding planner, made us feel special every step of the way. The photographers/videographer were also great and took amazing pictures. The beach is beautiful. The activities were great. We did kayaking and paddle boarding. Also took some excursions and went snorkeling and zip lining. One thing that made our stay not enjoyable was the customer service at the front desk. They are an absolute pain to work with and you have to expect to be up there for at least 30 minutes because after every question, they go into the back room for 10 minutes. I would think that the people working the front desk would have an answer to a lot of stuff, but not them. I felt they were the least knowledgeable people I encountered at the resort. I wanted to upgrade our room. They wasted 2 hours of our time to tell us we couldn’t use the credit I had towards a room upgrade because I didn’t use it before I got there. You also were unable to get ahold of anyone from the phone in your room. We needed more body wash and we were unable to call housekeeping. After talking to 3 different people, 6 hours later we received the body wash. I would be extremely hesitant to ever stay at a Sandals Resort ever again. You don’t even get room service or robes in a luxury room. There are much better all inclusive resorts that are actually all inclusive.
The grounds are absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views. There are many different restaurants with a variety of options and most of the food is very good. Overall I was not impressed with the service. When we arrived our room was not ready so the front desk insisted they take our luggage and we go start our vacation. Once our room was ready (late), someone took us to our room. Our luggage was not there. He told us not worry and that the bellman would take it there shortly. We went back later and our luggage was still not in our room. The front desk had no clue where it was. Eventually it was found in another guests room. After all of that, they didn’t even seem to care that our luggage had been misplaced. Mistakes happen, but they didn’t even seem sorry about it. We also had a confirmed email that we would have the honeymoon package upon arrival and they failed to do that too. On a positive note the entertainment at night is wonderful, the beaches are beautiful with awesome snorkeling, and the pool is very nice. We spent our first half of our vacation at another resort on the island and had zero problems and their staff were significantly more helpful and caring. For the price of sandals I expected more.
Place 2 hr without traffic by car /bus airport uvf airport st lucia. Food is ok, black label is called premium 👌 only available.
Lovely property, wonderful views of the park.
Excellent place for vacation n honeymoon
As a very experienced and picky traveler, let me just say the Sandals Grande St. Lucian far exceeded my hopes and expectations. The resort is beautiful and appears to have been recently updated throughout. The grounds were meticulously maintained and oh so beautiful. The dining was very good. The water and beach were stunning with lots of places to lay. The people and service were what really stole the show though I just loved everyone here; the St. Lucian people and the staff here were just so genuinely warm and friendly, and so generous with their kindness. This resort totally deserves the 5 star ratings it gets. I want to make a special shout out to Sharlene, she is truly a very special person whom I will never forget.
Will return great honeymoon
I cannot say enough about how disappointed I am with the service at this property. We have been where 3 days and have not had our morning cleaning once. Tonight they didn’t do the turn down service. We were promised club level services because we had to move rooms after unpacking due to a broken A/C. We have asked 6 times for those services and have not received them. We scheduled dinner reservations and only one was saved by staff. Our mini fridge has barely been restocked. We were told tonight that it will be fixed but we shall see. My husband has been to many all inclusive resorts and said this is by far the worst service he’s ever gotten.
The friendliness of the staff and you can practically do anything you want alcohol unlimited
Very friendly staff, yet food was constantly placed right next to our door and we constantly had ants outside and inside the room. The food at some of the restaurants was not the best.
Great property
We were pampered while at the resort. Had an amazing time with delicious food.
We had an amazing honeymoon at Sandals Grande. Tons of entertainment and the food at every restaurant was fantastic. Attentive staff, great excursions. Pictures at the end were pricy to buy, so were the prices in the gift shop.
Only complaint about this beautiful resort was the quality of the “all-inclusive” food. Everything else was top notch!
Very clean. Entertainment at night was absolutely amazing. It wasn’t a huge party resort, (which we loved) could always find chairs on the beach. Sandals had a lot to offer as far as free activities. Some staff could have been a bit friendlier but that would be my only complaint
Beautifully situated resort with one of the most stunning beaches I’ve ever seen. The property is gorgeous and well maintained but the rooms are showing their age a bit. Food is good, particularly for an all inclusive, but not exceptional. Drinks are fantastic, but make sure you ask for premium liquors or they will use generic brands. Service is hit or miss, generally efficient but sometimes lacking in graciousness. The wait staff in particular seem overworked and there aren’t enough of them. A wonderful vacation but for the top dollar paid for this resort it came up short in a couple of areas.
Our First … Amazing “Sandals” Vacation
The staff and people of local area were absolutely wonderful!! It was one of the best, most peaceful places and vacations I have ever experienced!!
Anything you needed was on property and we felt completely safe
Location was great although it was very far from airport. It felt secluded and the resort gave many options for food.
Friendly and enthusiastic staff
Not enough food and drinks
Great place to stay!!!
Amazing service from check in to check out. Great food, drinks and overall lovely Island vibes.
Great location
I loved the scenery, water activities, and the resort dining was excellent. I didn’t like that my door lock didn’t work properly twice and I found my room door open after I had complained about it. I made a formal complaint to the resort manager because they had not sent someone to fix it when the front desk told me someone would fix it while I went to eat dinner.
best resort we ever stayed at and the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to please you.
Don’t do it!
Went here for our honeymoon and was a little disappointed. Stayed in room 4202 -money was stolen from our room -cockroaches found in our room -mold found in our room -they did not set our room up with the honeymoon pkg like they said they would -cleaners walked in on us naked (didn’t knock) -a bartender yelled at me because I asked him to repeat what he said -bad wifi in room -pros: good restaurants, property landscaping is done nicely, other guests were friendly, good live entertainment But I would never go to any sandals resort after this experience
First of all know now that the resort is very far from the main airport. We didn’t put that together until after we booked. So we took a helicopter transfer which saves about an hour of driving. Being so far from most of the island attractions you still end up needing to spend hours in a vehicle on twisty roads. Location 4/5 The resort itself is amazing and the staff very helpful and friendly. 5/5 The food options were good, but the absence of Caribbean lobster at any of the resorts numerous restaurants was disappointing. Breakfast Buffet was great. Toscanini was our favorite for breakfast and dinner. 4/5 My only complaint is that he absolutely insanely high priced photos. During our stay we had dozens of photos taken and even had a private shoot. Prices aren’t listed online and only the staff in the office can release the figures. They are astronomically priced. The best deal was 10 pictures for 220 dollars. I believe they would make up in volume by slashing the price by at least half. Everyone would be happy. Photo value 1/5 I also killed two cockroaches in our bathroom. Just be prepared to see them if you live somewhere where they aren’t common. I tried using the resorts “loop” app. An app that allowed you to make comments, positive and negative. I opened that up and after hours of no response I gave up. So don’t count on that to offer any immediate assistance to an issue. Overall 4/5
Paradise…loved our time at the resort..this was a bucket list item that was worth it..only draw backs were the LONG drive from the airport after a long travel day (not sandals fault) and $30 bottles of lotion after airport took ours..so be prepared ha water and beaches were perfect. I would recommend breakfast in Italian restaurant (skip buffet) and the Jerk shack had best chicken I’ve ever had!! Definitely recommend some type of tour to visit soufrieres volcano’s and Pitons (whatever you wear into mud bath is going to be ruined fyi) This was a dream trip that lived up to our expectations! A
Great. Vacation. The did a wonderful job. I do feel like they try to sell you on to many services, but otherwise great
Great location with wonderful amenities. Food and drinks were good but not amazing
The staff was phenomenal and spectacular. They remember name and faces no matter how many ppl they encountered. They accommodated us very well.
December 2021
Fantastic honeymoon hotel, stayed for 5 nights. The standard of service was amazing and there was a good mix of activities but also quieter areas of the resort to chill out.
Wonderful honeymoon destination.
This is the best resort I have been to! It has it all! Easy beach access. 12 wonderful restaurants with superior food. Super helpful friendly staff. The speed boat excursion was so much fun! The ladies in the spa gave us the most relaxing couples message. We are definitely coming back!!
Great variety of food options, though they do not promote all the ways or places to get food or clearly state the times that places are open in one location. The food is very good and the staff is absolutely amazing welcoming you and treating you as a friend daily. Pools for swim-up rooma desperately need a power wash it is growing algae everywhere. Beautiful resort and a great experience.
Our fan was broke, our hot tub was broke, they accused us of keeping a bag that wasn't ours (we let them in our room to show we didn't have it), and unfortunately due to COVID, the atmosphere was much more punitive about masks and hand sanitizing, than creating a luxurious experience :/
The property was pretty amazing. Incredible view of the ocean, clean beaches, pools with swim up bars and hot tubs, and overall an enjoyable resort.
Property is fairly big, however everything is in walking distance. We had a room that was close to the beach and pool which was a bonus!
This was really just a mediocre experience. Nothing about the trip blew us away while on our honeymoon. Food was decent. Breakfast was mediocre. Drinks and bars were literally the best service we'd get. The bedroom was clean. Our room was ignored on one of the days by housekeeping and fridge restockers. But the door was incredibly thin so you could hear every single intoxicated person yell-talking in the hallway late at night. The mask policies in place here made no sense whatsoever and was very inconsistent. Sandals, here, also lets a bunch of vendors onto their beaches so you are constantly bombarded by vendors trying to sell you stuff nobody would want to buy. I watched the security guards just let random locals onto the property to mix in with those who paid to stay here. It was just exhausting being badgered for tips by drivers, suitcase handlers, waiters, and every single local minimally doing their jobs. On our first time walking onto the beach, we were pressured into taking an excursion with a random guy on the beach who pretended to work for the hotel. He was a local named Charlie and acted like he was just pointing out things we could do at the beach. Next thing we know, he's telling us about this excursion we could go on privately. It wasn't great. It felt like we were in a paradise surrounded by homeless people. All in all, we stayed for 5 nights but by night 3 we were over it. I'd rather stay in Mexico for a fraction the cost. Won't be visiting St. Lucia again.
Overall a great first experience at a Sandals, with some work to do on service. We wouldn’t normally choose to stay at an all inclusive resort (the covid curfew meant it was our best option as there’s always be something to do when the rest of the island is closed). Restaurants were good, beach was lovely and the grounds are beautiful. I was surprised by a couple of things on the service side, given the hotel’s rating - we didn’t get any replies to messages via the Expedia app but we got incoming messages selling their tours, photography packages etc (and this is a common theme - a lot of upselling to make you spend more while on site and at extortionate prices eg $20 per digital photo taken by their photographers), and in the room it was patchy whether we’d get replacements once they took away our towels. The floor kept flooding so they’d take away our bath mat every day but over the course of our 9 night stay they only replaced it with another one on two occasions and ditto with hand and face towels (but bath towels were replaced so it’s odd they didn’t do the full suite of towels?). Only a small thing but it’s he standard you expect at a 5 star place. They didn’t replace toiletries until I requested them (I waited four days to see if they would replace them before we ran out which happens a lot because I have long and thick hair). Finally I wasn’t happy seeing specs of confetti all over the beach the morning after these romantic events. Sure they’ll end up in the sea :(
property has a great location and everything you need. things are just a little dated and needs a little TLC.
Before you go, make sure all of your travel forms that are required for entry are completed and printed. We had several people turned away at the airport because they did not have all of their travel forms which can be found on the St. Lucia travel website. Transport to and from the airport is included as well as a welcome beverage at their private airport lounge upon arrival. There will be someone from Sandals to greet you and take you to your hotel. This property had exceptional customer service. Any issue we had Kaydi Ann was there to assist with a smile. She really helped make this a stress free experience for us. The entire staff made sure that all of our needs were met. The property is beautifully maintained and visually pleasing. It is also spotless! One suggestion, get the butler service to reserve a beach lounge chair, otherwise you will be sitting in the sun as there are coolers placed out in the morning to reserve the spots for those who have butler service. My husband had to get up at 6AM in order to secure beach chairs. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to unwind and relax. It was perfection!
I liked everything
I have visited most of the islands in the Caribbean and this was the single most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. The view is breathtaking. The food was great with a variety of restaurants and there was plenty to do. You can walk five minutes along the beach and hike two beautiful mountains for $10 per person. The drive from the airport can be long and difficult, so I would recommend Funtosee Island Water Ferry, which feels like an excursion rather than traveling. Overall, cannot recommend this hotel enough.
Loved loved loved our time at Sandals Grande! The staff was always so polite and helpful. Very very clean, and hand sanitizer everywhere. Enjoyed the excursions too! Overall had an amazing time!
The property was nice, very clean. The help was very inconsistent with some being friendly and nice. Some being hateful and not helpful at all. Very inconsistent on the level of service to all the people we talked to. Didn't like the reservation for dinner program.
Help through Natural Disaster
We actually have not had an opportunity to stay yet due to a volcanic eruption, but the staff at sandals was very accommodating in moving our trip back two weeks once flights pick back up.
The over the water bungalows were absolutely amazing AND the butler staff was too notch! I would absolutely do it again!
The resort is very picturesque, beautiful setting and beach. Many choices for food and activities. But truly what makes the resort top notch - is the staff. Each staff member was polite, and eager to help us be more comfortable. We upgraded to the Butler suite, and were not disappointed. The room was romantic and private and the butlers were phenomenal. Bailey and Sue-Ann attended to our every need and were intuitive to what we didn't say. It was difficult for me to ask for anything - it's just my personality - but they made us comfortable right away. We highly recommend the butler service - and if you do- ask for Sue-Ann and Bailey. They helped create a wonderful experience for us and new friendships.
Our bar in the room only got restocked with water and a few beers, no coke of sprite but mainly I had a baggage delay and the staff only called my room and I never got the message that something was awry. Also I mentioned that on the app and no response
Onsite diving services. The personnel were incredibly friendly and helpful. Views are amazing!! Airport shuttles being pre arranged were very accommodating.
The people made this a truly wonderful trip. The staff and the guests. It was a very relaxing vacation. If there was anything that wasn't great, ot was the ride from the airport. It wasn't the driver or the vehicle, just the roads were very rough and it was like a roller coaster because the island is mountainous. Didn't ruin our trip in any way. Just be ready for a wild ride! Otherwise the facility was top notch. Would definetly go again.
Gays – Not welcome! Sandals Grande St. Lucia – never again. The vibe is homophobic from the moment we arrived in the lobby. The guests, not the staff. Guests have been brainwashed by Sandals’ advertising that it’s for COUPLES ONLY – and it’s Boy-Girl, Man-Woman. Stares like we have never experienced before (I’m not that muscular or good looking…). Insults in the pool, by the bar, on the beach. Day 2 my husband never left the room. Needless to say, we cut our stay short and returned home to Barbados. No refund from Sandals. Blank refusal. Property is beautiful, room and bathrooms great, bed very comfortable. No fully stocked minifridge on arrival. 2 of 3 ordered wine bottles delivered 2 hrs later. The ordered Champagne never delivered. Ice machines out of order on the entire floor. Never again!
Endless activity choices. You can be social with the other guests or you can have a very private romantic time with just you and your loved one.
We could not have asked for better. I think we’ve met the kindest people in the world (or the best trained in customer service)!
Beautiful facility and some of the staff are some of the kindness people I have ever met.
The property was beautiful. The staff was excellent. The nightly entertainment was lacking
Everything was wonderful! Great resort with wonderful staff. Rooms, food and all amenities were all awesome. Only complaint I have is it ended too soon!
Paradise in St Lucia
Sandals Grande St Lucia is perfectly located at the top of the Island. It is about 90 mins from the airport, but a pleasant trip and the location away from the hills means it gets much less rain then just a few miles south. The service is wonderful, although not so great in the Italian restaurant. The food is excellent and not-over-the-top portion sizes and of course it’s All Inclusive. The beech is perfect, clean and calm, great for relaxing or taking part in the many included water sports. Although it was the beginning of peak season, it never felt crowded and there are plenty of e sun beds, hammocks and shady spots. There are four pools, we found the best one to be a small, quiet pool at the south east end - never busy and a view of the ocean from the jacuzzi. We will come back.
The beaches are public so we got hustled every day to buy something and all the couples at the resort wanted to be friends and talk to us. But the water was super clear and food/drinks were great!
Nice hotel close to beach ,great food and fun
We were there AUGUST 2018 for vacation and a wedding, big up to the Manager Filius, server on the beach Kachel , Monica the Wedding planner handled all my family's wants and needs at the wedding on 8/18/18. The food is always top notch at the Sandals Resorts. You never experience that over crowding lounge chair hoarding like other resorts. My husband Robert and I love vacationing at The Sandals Grande in St. Lucia.
The resort is gorgeous! The beach is beautiful! Pigeon Island is an awesome thing to explore and it is totally walkable from the resort. The views at the top are gorgeous! The staff at the resort are warm and friendly and the food was delicious! I would highly recommend the jerk chicken at the Jerk Shack!
This resort was everything we could have dreamed of for our honeymoon. Every member of the staff was polite and welcoming. The food at all the included restaurants was great. The only negative experience was with the private dinner in the beach. The dinner was fine, but the food was no better than at the included restaurants so it was not worth the extra expense.
This resort is incredible! Consistently clean and comfortable. The staff go above and beyond to make sure their guests are satisfied. Excellent food in every restaurant! We already booked another vacation at Sandals!

Some of the staff was really nice... others not so much. Our biggest issue was when things needed attention, they would say they were going to fix it, and then didn't. Our room's a/c was stuck on 24/7 at 64°. For 4 days they would say they would fix it but then did nothing. Finally we insisted on a new room and they moved us the next day to one that wasn't quite as nice but comparable. The kicker is they cleaned it and filled it same day. It had a musty smell, probably from the ac never shutting off. Their solution was to send in housekeeping to spray it with deodorizer. The fridge wasn't working right and had something red spilled in it. We said something and they didn't bother to clean it after they "fixed" it. (It was either too warm or froze everything inside). Water pot had no knob and they said they would replace it but never did. The door to the patio in our second room would not close all the way. It was just one thing after another. Food was really slow and there wasn't a buffet all the time. Just for breakfast and lunch. Some food staff really hated their job. Others were fantastic and fun to talk to. At the end they asked us how our stay was. We told them not great, they apologized and asked us why, and we told them. They didn't seem to care. Again, we complained but there wasn't any follow through. Also, don't book any excursions until you get there. Your can't cancel and get a refund. They can, however, cancel on you and there is no penalty for them. Not cool.
