Good value for money, lovely location - beachfront and walking distance to Lamai night market (and plenty if other markets). Wifi could be better, same for breakfast selection (limited choice). Villas are good size and comfortable.

Nice spot but Long walk from reception to beach villas. It was a bit tough as I had to carry my sleeping daughter once. Breakfast was ok. Overall the spot is lovely and the staff and good. The room was newly renovated and nice and big.

Very well maintained hotel on narrow, but long strip of land with very interesting landscaping. At first I was bit dissappointed that none of the bungallows had a sea view, but with time I really enjoyed walk between the bungallows, palms and ponds with fish and frogs. Very pleasant staff, both in hotel and beach bar & restaurant. Good size swimming pool. Be aware that there are many stones in the beach which makes acces to the water bit risky. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a family with small children.

The Rummana Boutique Hotel - not really a boutique hotel more retro 70's. Staff excellent - were extremely helpful and always smiling. Hotel very tired - hot water intermittent, shower head very old, sink tap wobbly, wardrobe in bathroom so clothes felt damp, bed large but hard, no dressing table with mirror, hairdryer in bathroom so added to dampness in wardrobe, lighting very inadequate. Photos of pool and surrounding area very misleading - pool quite small and sunbeds so close together. Beach immediately outside hotel wall was always kept clean but rest of beach littered with rubbish. Not a 4 star hotel - but still had a good holiday - loved the gardens with ponds and wildlife. Close to local restaurants and a short trip to town.

Location was amazing! Beach was secluded and quiet. Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom needs updating.

We were very happy with choice of our hotel in Lamai. Quiet end of lamai beach. The beach bar in the hotel is cool. They make really good drinks. Prices in the hotel are really reasonable. Fantastic food in the restaurant. Dinner is better than lunch. Bathrooms in hotel room are a bit outdated. They need a real shower.

Bad managment did not stay argument with manager

I arrived after 2 days travelling they said I had to pay 90 pounds for gala new year dinner l thought was optional manager said no you must pay no negotiations I said I am alone don't want he said you must on booking I refused he said do you want to cancel no refund l no room unless you pay l spent a lot of money on this place and would like some refund very bad !

Attentive staff, comfortable room, good food, nice location and beach. I would definitely stay here again if I was in this area. I think that says a lot, because there are definitely options out there.

Koh Samui

The resort was very nice and well maintained. It was a refreshing change to stay in a small resort. The food and drinks were excellent and value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Note that the AC can't be left on in your rooms when you lock the door. Key thob controls the AC on/off. Resort is located a 10 minute walk from the main area and there are plenty of means to get to and from the main area if you don't fancy walking on the main road especially at night. The beach was sandy but small. There were lots of rocks as you enter the water so footwear is recommended when going in the water. We enjoyed our 6 days.

By the beach but away from anything else

The perfect holiday

Rummana can only be recommended from day of arriving to the day of leaving we had nothing to complain about, location was perfect, not too far away for an evening to Lamai, but far enough away to relax and enjoy a great holiday, spend 2 weeks there and would go back any time....compliments to all staff which were always out of there way to help and give you a great time.VERY WELL RUN RESORT!!!!

Relaxing resort within walking distance from shops

Rummana hotel is located in a quiet area of Lamai. The beach is clean and the water is clear, you can even snorkle in front of the hotel. The staff is very helpful and attentive and service is fast and efficient. Breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. From the resort you can stroll along the beach and reach Lamai centre in 10 minutes. We highly recommend this peaceful resort set in a beautiful garden. The tiles in the swimming pool are sharp and need regritting.

Enjoyed the stay

Stayed here for a long weekend and really enjoyed the visit. Staff was friendly and hotel clean and comfortable. The included breakfast buffet was so-so but other food we had at the restaurant pretty good. Hotel is at the end of Lamai beach so fairly quiet and you need to walk about 20 minutes or take a taxi to get to the bars/restaurants in the middle of Lamai.

Wonderful place to stay!

Beautiful resort - like living in a garden! The staff was extremely hospitable and helpful, ensuring all our needs were taken care of. I'd say the only negative was that the pool was a little small compared to other pools we'd visited. Otherwise...a 10!

First Trip to Koh Samui

Everything was more than what we had expected as we arrived a day late, it was so lovley and relaxing, the hotel and the staff were fantastic We would recommend this hotel to friends and family if they were traveling to Koh Samui

Overall I and my family (wife & 20-yr-old and 15-yr-old daughters) were very pleased with the hotel and especially with the service. Only minus was the laundry-service. Two shirts to laundry and a shirt to iron took 2 ½ days to deliver it back i.e. too late in 4 nights stay. Also the wlan was too weak to work in every room.

Rigtig fint resort til afslapning. Badeværelset kunne godt trænge til en kærlig hånd, men området er meget idyllisk og afslappende. Det ligger ret langt væk fra indre by, så det skal man tage med hvis man vælger dette resort. Morgenmaden var god til 4 dage, men mangler måske lidt variation til flere dage.

Proche de Hin Ta et Hin Yai

Petit complexe hôtelier composé d'une quarantaine de bungalows situé à Lamai sud à proximité des rochers Grand-mère et Grand-père (Hin Ta & Hin Yai). Les chambres sont joliment décorées, la literie king size de bonne qualité même si un peu de rénovation ne serait pas de trop par endroit. Nous étions pour 3 nuits dans le bungalow 209 situé à mi chemin de la réception et de la plage. Même si son confort était satisfaisant, d'autres bungalows situés en direction de la plage semblaient plus spacieux et plus aboutis au niveau décoration et agencement (certainement une catégorie supérieure) Le petit-déjeuner se prend au restaurant situé près de la plage où se trouve également la piscine. Le choix est un peu limité pour un hôtel de cette catégorie (4*). En effet pas ou peu de plats thaï au menu, c'est dommage pour ce type d'établissement. La plage se situe en contrebas d'un muret et est accessible via un petit escalier. Une fois sorti de l'hôtel, il n'y a pas autant de choix de restaurants, de boutiques et de salons de massage qu'un peu plus au nord de Lamai qui est à 20 minutes à pied par la plage. Le personnel est avenant et sympathique. Une expérience globalement positive.

Der Service war unschlagbar gut, wir waren absolut begeistert! Und das Personal war dazu auch noch überaus freundlich, ihnen war einfach nichts zu viel. Das einzige kleine Minus war, dass die Dusche etwas schwer zu bedienen war, aber ich würde behaupten, dass das ein ganz klares Luxusproblem war. Des Weiteren bekamen wir ein kostenloses Upgrade auf die Suite direkt am Pool, das war der Hammer!

Goed ontbijt, vlak aan het strand en leuk zwembad. De nieuwere kamers aan de strandkant zijn ruim.

Tolles Resort, saubere Zimmer, freundliches Personal, Klimaanlage lief leider nur mit der Karte, das war dann nicht immer so angenehm, aber gut, wir haben uns für ein warmes Land entschieden :) also, Jammern auf hohem Niveau

Sehr schöne Bungalow-Anlage abseits vom Trubel. Der Weg von der Rezeption zum Pool schlängelt sich durch tropische Pflanzen entlang der ca. 40 Häuschen. Es gibt wohl nix etwas ältere Bungalows und bereits frisch renovierte. Wir hatten einen renovierten Bungalow. Der Bungalow ist großzügig und modern. Sehr bequeme Betten! Beim Einchecken war unser Zimmer sauber und einladend. Schrecklich war der Zimmerservice. Wir waren 9 Nächte im Rummana und die Reinigungskräfte haben kein einziges Mal feucht gewischt oder mal den Tisch abgewischt. Wären wir noch länger geblieben, hätte ich mir selbst einen Lappen gekauft und mal sauber gemacht. Es wird nur das Bett gemacht, frische Handtücher rein gelegt und einmal gefegt. Wir haben es versucht mit Trinkgeld zu steuern aber auch das hatte keinen Erfolg. Länger als 7 Nächte sollte man hier auf keinen Fall bleiben oder man wischt halt selbst irgendwann mal durch. Die Damen an der Rezeption waren sehr nett. Die Kellner am Pool musste man leider sehr bitten - egal ob man was trinken wollte oder anschließend abgeräumt werden könnte. Alles hat gedauert und man hatte den Eindruck „Die haben keine Lust“. Schade.

Gutes Hotel in perfekter Lage für Jung und Alt her

Lage, Strand, Ruhe, Umgebung, Hotelanlage und Baden sehr gut. Zimmer zum wohlfühlen. Personal und Restaurant 1a. In der Umgebung gibt's auch jede Menge zu besichtigen und zu unternehmen. Würde wieder dorthin. Viel bessere Lage als in Chaweng. Einziger Tipp: Wifi am Pool oft nicht verfügbar. Preise für Speisen im Restaurant etwas günstiger anbieten, dann kommen auch mehr Gäste zum Essen. Die Speisen sind nämlich sehr lecker nur viel teurer als in der Umgebung.

Sehr schöne Hotelanlage mit Tropenflair

Die Hotelanlage war super schön und gepflegt. Die Mitarbeiter überwiegend sehr sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. einzig am Frühstück finde ich etwas auszusetzen. Das war auf ein Minimum reduziert und zumindest für mich war es jeden Tag ein Krampf, etwas leckeres zu finden. Das mag eventuell an der Nebensaison liegen, doch ich bin anderes aus Thailand gewohnt. Nichts desto trotz würde ich sofort wieder kommen!! :)

Nettes Resort mit guter Lage

Als wir angkommen sind wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen, die Anreise war sehr unkompliziert. Das Personal war auch den ganzen weiteren Aufenthalt sehr nett. Das Resort ist sehr gut gepflegt, wurde auch schon teilweise renoviert als wir vorort waren und es liegt direkt am Strand (direkt bei grandmother und grandfather rock). Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Ort umzu Entspannen.

Unser Aufenthalt im Rummana war von Anfang bis Ende top! Das Personal super freundlich und sehr aufmerksam.Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber aber bedarf eine Renovierung.Wir haben aber mitbekommen,dass die Bungalows jetzt alle neu gemacht werden.

Schöne Boungalow-Anlage im Dschungel-Style

Sehr schöne saubere Boungalows mit Safe und ausreichend Platz. Über eine mit Palmen bepflanzen Weg läuft man an Teichen und Brunnen vorbei zum Pool und angrenzenden Strand. Poolgröße war ausreichend. Der Sandstrand ist yauf Koh Samui etwas grober.Supermarkt und kleine Restaurants sind in der Nähe. Frühstück für Thailand gut. Mückenspray nicht vergessen. Gerne wieder

Toller Urlaub abseits des Trubels

Am Rand des Strandes von Lamai konnten wir einen wunderschönen entspannten Urlaub verbringen. Keine Spur vom Massentourismus wenn wir nicht wollten. Trotzdem war alles gut erreichbar, auch einige Restaurants an der Straße sowie am Stand. Wir haben uns im Hotel Roller gemietet und die Insel erkundet. War problemlos. Das Rummana Boutique Resort ist eine schöne Bungalowanlage in einem tollen tropischen Garten. Die ganze Anlage ist top gepflegt. Die Bungalows sind geräumig, im Wohn-/Schlafraum viel Platz, um auch die Koffer unterzubringen. Einzig der Kleiderschrank sollte unbedingt um ein paar Regalbretter erweitert werden. Das Frühstück war super, diverse Eierspeisen, immer frisch nach Wunsch zubereitet, kleine Auswahl thailändischer warmer Speisen, viel Obst, Brot, Croissants, Müsli, Jogurt.... Hervorzuheben ist das Personal. Unglaublich aufmerksam, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Thai-Dance-Show-Abend hat uns nicht so gut gefallen. Weder die Aufführung noch das Buffet, welches uns zu sehr auf den europäischen Gaumen abgestimmt war. Hier passte Preis-Leistungsverhältnis im Gegensatz zum gesamten Aufenthalt nicht. Wir können das Rummana Boutique Resort auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

Schöne Anlage, superfreundliches Personal

Sehr zum empfehlen! Wir waren 10 Tage, es war immer sauber, das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Frühstück war auch sehr gut, Omlets und andere Eierspeisen wurden frisch zubereitet, der Rest ist Standard. Direkte Strandlage, leider keine Liegen am Strand sondern nur auf der Anlage aber es entstehen keine extra Kosten für Schirm und Handtücher. Sehr zum empfehlen! Würden wieder einchecken :-)

Dschungelfeeling muss man mögen

Zuerst wollte. Man mich in der 1. Nacht in einem fensterlosen Zimmer unterbringen. Erst als ich mich geweigert habe, wurde mir ein korrektes Bungalow gegeben. Leider war auch im Bungalow keine frische Luft vorhanden. Die engen Wege und die Dschungelpflanzen lassen keine frische Luft von Meerseite zu den Bungalow. An sich eine schöne und saubere Anlage, aber ich brauche frische Luft.

Roligt og dejligt hotel

Havde en dejlig ferie på Rummana. Skøn lille bungalow lige ved havet og poolen, men vi var heldige for dem var der ikke mange af. Ville dog ikke sige at det lever helt op til 4 stjernens hotel.
