Another enjoyable stay at Roe Park
Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna not busy and very enjoyable
Everything was very good, cleanliness, comfort and service. All staff were helpful and courteous. I used Spa and the the service was good there also. Dinner was served quickly. At breakfast I asked for a poached egg and it came in a few minutes -The only negative thing was the bacon at breakfast was a bit hard due I imagine, to sitting for some time. Staff in dining room were again very helpful and pleasant.
Beds were super comfy Great selection at breakfast
It was ok
Beautiful property to stay at that is very comfortable. Spacious rooms but they are a bit dated. The food was great and service was 10/10!
Good stardard
Good standard with excellent facilities. All staff extremely helpful and polite
A good base for anyone exploring the NW of Ireland
Quality hotel although the safe wasn’t working in my room. For £200+ per night I was expecting a fridge full of goodies to purchase. Loose fittings in the bathroom. Overall though a very positive experience in a pleasant Spa & Golf resort.
Room was spacious, unfortunately room was well lit.
A pleasant stay…
Nice hotel, my room was very clean and inviting. Staff were friendly. A basic but functional gym. Mattress wasn’t the best but wasn’t the worst I’ve come across. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
Friendly staff very clean and good food
Great 2 Nights
Stayed for 2 nights. Absolutely brilliant trip. Staff are so friendly, ple ty in too so there was never any issue with getting served etc, and the hotel is fabulous. Been a while since we there there, but wont be long until we are back.
Great location.
Lovely hotel, in a beautiful location. Staff were brilliant.
I love staying at the Roe Park, it's just so relaxing. The room we had was spacious and well app
Great stay
Another supper stay. Great room and atmosphere through the hotel.
Unfortunately the hotel is well past its prime. Way overpriced for amenities. Food at restaurant mediocre at best. Probably great for a round of golf.
As always, lovely staff, beautiful setting. Thanks
One night break
This is a lovely hotel located in stunning countryside. It is a fabulous old building that has been expanded to include a spa, golf course and seems to be a popular wedding venue. Our room was lovely and we loved the fact we could walk out into the countryside. The restaurant staff were really lovely and we enjoyed the food too which had a good choice and was well presented. Whilst we were there it was a little noisy because of the wedding party and all the fun everyone was having that went on into the night. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay I would recommend confirming they have no weddings booked in at the same time, else an enjoyable stay.
A wee gem in the countryside
Great hotel and food excellent and staff very friendly. Good location for exploring Roe Valley Forest just next door. Spa was so nice after a long walk around the park. Definitely recommend and will be back 😀
Set in a beautiful location and easy access to local landmarks. Restaurant could be better as i likened this to pub grub rather than fine dining, which is expected from such a beautiful establishment.
Very friendly staff. Food was delicious. Really enjoyable stay. Would strongly recommend.
Anniversary stay
We stayed here for our 2nd yr wedding anniversary and enjoyed every minute. Rooms were clean , staff friendly , facilities excellent and food was superb. Only issue was the lockers in mens changing at pool weren't working.
Another great stay
Another great stay at the Roe Valley. Rooms really comfortable, service excellent and overall well looked after
A super stay; very comfortable, lovely food and good friendly service
Great experience from start to finish, lovely food, cosy room ,staff very pleasant and helpful, just one night stay but will definitely stay again, for longer to enjoy the beautiful surrounings and spa.
Brilliant hotel, but BOOK DIRECT
The Roe park is a great hotel, with excellent facilities. The staff are very helpful and friendly. However, I would strongly recommend booking directly on their website, it was over £100 cheaper than Hotels.com! Of course Hotels.com refused to honour the price match guarantee despite countless emails detailing how I found the same room, same cancellation etc. Initially they said they couldn't access the link. I asked them to verify this and magically the link worked. They then said the hotel wasn't on there list of competitors. I asked to see this list (which is not mentioned in the terms and conditions) and they then magically decided that the hotel was on their list. The next excuse was that the website was not legitimate despite it being the official website for the hotel which they had previously used as part of a price match guarantee with me. When I pointed this out to them, supplying screen shots of the previous price match, they just ended the chat with no explanation and refused my refund.
Getting away from it all
A short break in Roe Park just before Christmas. Really enjoyed the stay. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly.
Weekend break
Great hotel service wonderful room very comfortable highly recommend and great price
Stay
Was really enjoyable
Staff very friendly. Excellent facilities. Lovely garden area with tables just of teception.
Staff exceptionally helpful
Beautiful area friendly staff
Room was small and basic compared to other 4 ⭐️ hotels we have been at, dining was very slow and then we where asked would we like to see a dessert menu which we said yes to but after 10 mins we had to ask only to said for 25mins in total and still no Menu so just paid and left
Could have been better
We decided to treat ourselves to an overnight stay at a nice hotel before a wedding we were attending in the area. We had been ill with covid a month ago and missed our holiday, so this was by way of a pick me up! The hotel has a great reputation, but sadly we can not support this. Our room was ok, bed comfortable - but the swimming pool was less than ok! There were wall to wall children when we went in - and so we immediately left and came back at a later time - not easy as the last swim was 7.30pm! Very early given there were many children there up to 6.30pm. We couldn't find a dry spot in the changing rooms to even stand and given that we had no bathrobes - even though we asked - it was difficult to put clothing back on without it getting soaked! We had a lovely meal in the Coachouse - fabulous! But when we returned to the foyer and bar - some poor guitarist was trying to sing over the top of about 15 children running around shouting! I never did find out if there was a kids event on! I work with kids all the time, I don't dislike them - I have 2 of my own - but there was no allowance for anyone who might like time away from them. We met a young couple who had come away without their kids - only to be faced with dozens of other people's. The pool area is VERY small. We will not be rushing back to the Radisson Roe.
Roe Park Resort
Wildly overpriced tourist 4 star hotel. Country views are nice but there's no "Resort" (hotel's term) virtually at all, unless you golf on their golf course (the "resort"). Extra fees, of course. One walk to take you outside grounds & nothing more in the grounds but golf - no access. General spa / wellness area quite a lot smaller than most tourist 4 stars (which don't bother describing themselves as one of NI's top spa hotels). Changing facilities really run down - honestly can't believe hotel would charge even half its current price. Swimming pool small but OK unless there are 5 or more people using, when it clearly shows itself as the really small facility it is. Sauna OK if sauna is new or unusual to you, otherwise for regular sauna users - it's at 57°c all the time!!! (Should be 78 to 95°c). Spa staff unhelpful. Restaurant good enough but very busy, especially with day visitors from Republic of Ireland. Small, no room, busy staff trying to cope. On plus side, good breakfast; bar drinks & restaurant meals affordable for a 4 star. No ambience in the bar though - like a coridor guests walk through, doesn't open til mid-afternoon even weekends. No bar meals, even snacks - must go to the busy restaurant for any food. Not hotel's fault, but head's up - long distance to the town, nearly hour's walk. Room noisy, bed v uncomfortable. Staff vary - some lovely, some concerning. Would be average 4 star hotel with good views at a *much* lower price. Even so can be noisy.
Fine for big families or weddings, not much else
Was one of the recommended hotels for my nephew's wedding, which wasn't at the property but nearby. Was noisy, room too hot & service was mediocre. Had it been a bargain or even a reasonable price, I probably wouldn't be so harsh. But at over £200 per night, definitely not worth the price. On first night, I thought I'd enjoy the bar & live music. But left after one drink as 30-40 children running rampant all over the place so you couldn't enjoy the music. And I left the bar at 10:45pm with children still running everywhere. Bar area is small so people sit in lobby area as if in an airport departure lounge, so no atmosphere. Got back from my nephew's wedding at midnight on second night & still children running around everywhere. So, unless you are part of a wedding party at the property itself (so don't care about singing & screaming while walking back to your room past other guest rooms at 2am) or have children you want to exhaust with the daytime activities & running around the bar all evening, I would stay away, certainly on weekends.
We were there for a wedding and enjoyed favourable weather. There is a forest close by with lovely walks particularly good after the sumptuous breakfast. Very friendly staff throughout the hotel.
Friendly staff but let down by amenities - no mini fridge in the room, very basic bathroom amenities, very bad lighting in the bedroom, poor room service (tepid steak and sparkling water served in a pint glass....)
All good, it was our wedding anniversary and staff / management went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant and enjoyable stay - even a suprise card with chocolate 👍
Spacious and clean. Great location. Friendly staff. Some public areas a bit dated
The room (No. 20) appeared to have been recently refurbished, as did the dining area where we ate breakfast, It was a passing through visit as we explored the coast.
Short break
Fast check in & amazing staff
Nice resort but cold.
Hotel was lovely greeted by reception but no real information given about how to get robes for pool so had to figure it out myself online. The room was clean and spacious with a great view but very cold when we arrived as heating wasn’t on. It did come on not long after arrival but it didn’t really heat up so it was uncomfortable getting changed as it was so cold and even that night the room was very cold even with radiator turned up full. Pool was clean but also a bit cold but enjoyed the jacuzzi. Had dinner in coach house which was really lovely with good service. We did enjoy our stay but could have been better with the really cold room.
Roe Park Resort - 1 night stay
Quick check in. Comfortable room with Golf view. Excellent food.
Fantastic hotel.
Staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. I always love staying at this hotel. Swimming pool area is great. The food at the coach house is amazing and breakfast was brilliant. Can't wait to visit again. The hotel is in a lovely setting.
Excellent stay wifi didnt work in room food in coach house was very tasty
Lovely overnight stay
Lovely overnight spa stay with my daughter. The hotel is very comfortable and spacious. I didn't really like the atmosphere in The Coach House restaurant (where we had our dinner in the evening). It could have been somewhat cosier. The food was good and staff very friendly and efficient.
Fabulous resort
The elegance of this resort is worth noticing. The golf views are mesmerising on a bright wintery morning. The food is also good. I booked a one night stay for my anniversary. 2 things which bothered us were a constant humming noise throughout the night from some water or radiator pipes even after radiators were off. Also a very uncivilised group of 4 senior citizens. They kept on fighting and talking loudly all throughout our meal and with every other guest giving them the disgusting looks. But not one from staff bothered to advise the group to talk softly.
Great hotel and location
We found the staff very helpful, from arrival until leaving. Nothing was too much bother for them. Including helping me with a particular admin issue on my own laptop.
Had a lovely stay Great location very relaxing
Amazing place
Amazing recovery weekend away in the spa and the the steak i got in the restaurant was one of the best ive had in a long time would go back just for a steak alone never mind the amazing scenery around and an overall relaxing weekend
A good time by all.
A great hotel, with top facilities and very helpful staff.
Absolutely fantastic service and amenities. Can't wait to come back!
Nice hotels disappointing resident experience
Room wasn’t ready at 3:15pm but didnt have to wait long for another room, Came back to hotel from wedding at Drenagh at 12:30 and bar closed and we were told we could not order a drink as residents. I have never experienced this and was very disappointed,
Average hotel. Have stayed in lots of 4 star hotels much better, this is 3 star quality. Room was clean but basic. Could do with some investment to freshen up the decor. Evening meal was very nice in courtyard restaurant. Breakfast was nice but had to wait over 30mins in a que to get sat down. Overall was below expectations.
Disappointing.
Disappointing experience. Rooms were dated with cheap, worn out mattresses. Service was slow and mediocre. Restaurant was terrible. Quite overpriced.
Excellent stay in Radisson Limavady Hotel really good
Beautiful hotel in great location
Very enjoyable stay, welcoming staff, clean comfortable and spacious facilities with lovely breakfast
Loved it!
We had a lovely time away, the weather wasn’t great but that didn’t matter much when you were in the pool! When there was a break in the rain there is a lovely walk along the river. You can push a Pram part of the way but if you want to do the whole Walk then you will need a baby carrier! Hotel was busy but not packed! Everyone wore a mask. The only thing I didn’t like was breakfast in the conference/events room with no windows…breakfast however was great! I will def go back to this hotel!
Lovely staff
Nice dinner and very attentive staff. Hotel could do with an upgrade, USB chargers etc in rooms. Courtyard could be amazing with a good brush up and nice, well placed furniture Wait staff were all lovely young folks
Relaxed stay
Pleasant stay, food was good and breakfast arrangements ran smooth.
Hotel and grounds where lovely
Roe Valley stay
Comfortable hotel. Friendly and very helpful staff.
Enjoyed stay We had a lovely meal in Courtyard restaurant . However breakfast was not up to the standard I would have expected . I would have preferred room only and eaten a good breakfast elsewhere . I paid for a friend to join us for breakfast , certainly not worth £12.50 charged !
Great hotel
Was there for business but would happily return for golf!
amazing place however the bedrooms need updating, beds were extremely uncomfortable! everything else about the hotel was lovely, the spa, the food, the staff! I would return again but ask for a newer room!
We enjoyed remoteness of property, a get-away-from-it-all feel
Pleasant, not 4* though.
Stayed here with my husband for a wee night away and we had a good time overall. I feel the hotel is more of a 3* and could do with some updating. Found all the staff very friendly and pleasant, lovely meal in the Coach House Restaurant. Breakfast was first class. Downsides for us, bed was uncomfortably hard, my husband slept very badly. Also could hear a lot of noise from the neighbouring rooms, which for us that particular night was screaming, stomping children. Overall, a pleasant stay, thank you.
Roe Park needs to do some refurbishment
Toilets on ground floor not clean, however this could be due to the fact there were so many children around and parents were not controlling or looking after them. Couldn’t get to eat in brassiere, no availability had to use main restaurant with buffet. While my husband like food I had to order separate fish, wait for it to be cooked and then get my vegetables etc which were cold from the buffet. In room smoke alarm keeps flashing all night and lights on radiator could not be switched off. certainly wouldn’t go at this time of year again as we couldn’t get a swim due to too many children. changing room of pool also needed clean
Hotel is set in fantastic grounds. Very scenic and able to enjoy toe valley country park and also close to many beautiful beaches.
We have stayed at the Roe Park since it opened in 1995 and it has always been amazing! Some of the staff have been there for many years and are excellent! Definitely our favourite place in the North Coast.
Relaxing staff . Lovely hotel with great staff . Food excellent .
One night stay
Lovely setting and good food in the Coach House restaurant. Good sized room but bed was a bit uncomfortable, maybe just not use to the type of mattress and wouldn't let it stop me booking again if in the area. Breakfast was lovely with a great selection. All staff very friendly and helpful.
Lovely relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings and good food.
Roe park
Fantastic staff and great place to stay.
Very family friendly and lovely welcoming staff. Everyone very helpful and can't recommend enough.
We had booked a room in advance but weren’t able to stay on the night unfortunately but staff were very quick to respond to emails and were very helpful on the phone. next time I hope we actually get to stay.
Excellent location and food was good
The room was excellent very spacious breakfast was very good there was children running round to nearly one in morning making so much noise it was difficult getting sleep til after that apart from that the overall stay was pretty good staff was friendly and helpful
Nice hotel in Roe Valley. Would be good if you are a golfer. Walking trails available.
Disappointing
It was disappointing. Bed was broken to one side. The hotel was very humid, even staff were overheard commenting and our room had no thermostat. There were hairs in the bath. Breakfast was not warm. There is little choice or flexibility eating for people who are dairy intolerant which in this day and age is hugely disappointing
A good countryside hotel
An overall good hotel. Rooms are spacious and fairly recently refurbished. However the doors are relatively thin so you hear people outside loud and clear. Not a big issue, other than when various wedding parties return to their rooms in the middle of the night. The restaurants are popular and busy so you need to book well in advance. The food is good. The swimming pool was good, however they do enforce a swim cap policy (very different from the hotel’s promotional video where no-one wears a swim cap) and you will have to buy swim caps for everyone. The hotel had children’s entertainment for 2 hours every evening we stayed there which our children loved.
The hotel room was brilliant for 3 separate adults to stay, Spa facilities are excellent, and staff are pleasant as always. Second wedding I’ve been at, at the Roe Park venue and it was just the perfect day for everyone.
Great location for Roe Valley, Limavady town and loads of natural beauty. Unfortunate we went at a time of high winds, power cuts (very brief) and 5G changeover, so trouble with TV signal and wi-fi
One to return to
Great overnight stay. Lovely hotel with excellent food and great facilities
dad and daughter getaway
very friendly
Crowded. Inadequate staff and restaurant facilities for a full hotel.
Overall a nice experience
Hotel and grounds are lovely. Room was spacious and clean. Food and service was very average which was a disappointment. We waited a long time and the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing.
Ok but unlikely to revisit
In terms of location etc this hotel has a great setting. Check in was relatively pain free but lacked those special and thoughtful details. We visited the hotel for my husbands birthday. I did communicate this with the hotel but there was no acknowledgment of this fact. In terms of the room it was ok but the bed was really uncomfortable and left me with back pain. What made it worse was the room next door which seemed to be occupied by several unchaperoned children - we had a connecting room with just a door between and the noise was really loud. Breakfast however, was excellent. Great selection.
Nice atmosphere and staff. Lovely food. Good surroundings.
Wonderful place, amazing food....
Quiet area Great facilities staff friendly breakfast was very good
Relaxing break
A very comfortable, relaxing hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Superb food & relaxing atmosphere in Coach restaurant. An added bonus having live music in bar on both nights of our stay considering this was on Monday & Tuesday.
Excellent golf course, staff attentive and excellent, food good and prices reasonable
Excellent hotel
Very relaxing, and a good base from we’re to travel to see all the sites.
10+++
Great hotel. Great breakfast. Great pool.
Lovely location, large modern rooms and beautiful grounds.
Very nice hotel on a wooded site and golf course. Trail to the Roe Valley starts just at the back of the hotel.
The reception / bar area was OK, nothing special just a little in need of a refurb. The room was very rundown with stains on the carpet and dead insects on the window ledge. No air conditioning so room was unbearably hot at night,I know it is Northern Ireland but it was really hot! On a positive note there are some lovely walks in the country park next to the hotel.
Enjoy it
V good
Lovely stay staff very friendly and welcoming. Food in brasserie excellent. As we went as a couple the leisure facilities weren't what we had expected and they were quite crowded with a lot of kids. We stay often at Crawford burn another Galgorm hotel which is more suitable for couples for a relaxing stay.overall nice overnight stay and good value for money. If you were going with a couple of kids ideal.
