Rented the room. Went to it. Saw grafitti on walls inside room. No lights worked. Smelled disgusting, got scared and left and paid over 300 for feeling like i got infected with AIDS by walking in. 0/10. Should be burned down

The desk clerk was helpful getting me a discount by booking on line. There was something running underneath my room and I could feel a vibration all night.

When I arrived, some woman in the car told me that the office was in the back building. After I started walking back there she got out of her car and said no you better come to the front. So I went to the front. I got into my room and sadly There was no thermostat in the room was freezing and there were not enough blankets. Further, the electrical outlet in the bathroom did not work, so the hairdryer did not work and fourthly. There was no Kleenex in the Kleenex holder. And lastly, the curtains did not even close properly, and there was actually some man looking in part of the window that I couldn’t close once I got into bed. Not a good experience

All other hotels in the area were sold out 1 week before our stay. It was exactly as its rating suggested a 5-6. The pool looked very inviting.

Drug overdose in one of other rooms. Several grown men approached my son demanding money. Do not stay here with a family ever.

Clean comfortable and quiet

Place needs a lot of TLC. And a lot of the furniture is outdated and broken

No coffee

This place is disgusting. Both dead and alive roaches in my room. I’m pretty sure they didn’t even wash the towels between me and the last tenant, as they were discolored and stained. The comforter was covered in white stains. I would genuinely be embarrassed to sell a room in this condition. I chose this hotel because it was cheap and in a convenient location, please do not do this. There is a nonzero chance that I walk away from this hotel with bed bugs. Please do not go to this hotel, it needs to be burnt down, turned into an EPA superfund site, and the former owners arrested.

I liked that you could have pets. I hated the filth and the way it was so unkept. No coffee pots in the room and no coffee in the office. Got up at 7:00 went to get coffee there were two cups and no coffee. She said they ran out

It's convient, quiet and they dont make you pay a huge deposit or a huge pet fee. Plus it was one of the cheapest rooms I could find at $87 after tax before the small deposit and pet fee. The service was adequate they weren't very friendly and you can tell its an older building. The some of the towels were stained and had an old cooking oil smell on some of them. The toliet was leaking water behind it and some of the lights in the room didn't work and the a/c took from 2pm until 2am to finally get the room cool and comfortable. The walls and diors were banged up and i saw a couple baby roaches that I had to kill. The fridge was brand new and the tv microwave and shower all worked great. And the room was clean but I wouldnt pay more then $50 a night for a room at this place.

The night clerk was very nice that checked us in but the owner was very obnoxious when checking out and did not give back my deposit after he stated that he posted it back I would never stay here again and will tell everyone that I know not to go there there were a few dead bugs in the room on the floor

I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

The WI Fi didn't work. The bath water didn't get what I would call hot. Just like warm. But it did what it needed and gave us a place to sleep. Love the fact we had a refrigerator and microwave.

Unhappy Former Customer

Hotel room was in bad shape. Two light bulbs out, but after replacing, room still unsuitable for reading. Sink faucet sprays water on your chest, bathroom door coming apart, and WiFi wouldn’t work for three days. I spoke to the manager and asked him to reboot the router. He refused saying it was working for his office. My cellphone connected to other public WiFi systems nearby with ease. We travel to the area twice yearly, but will never stay at Rodeway again.

The desk ladies were very nice and professional. The room was musty. The phone was dirty and sticky. There was some substance stuck to the wall next to the headboard. There was dirt built up in the corners of the bathroom. Sand in the bed.

Musty and roaches.

This motel is a $50 a night motel not $80. It smells musty and the rooms have roaches. The bedding is stained and has cigarette burns on it. Motel needs serious upgrades.

When I stayed the Wifi didn’t work, only one lamp worked in my room, the ac unit stopped around 7pm and didn’t turn on when I switched it to low temperature and the lights in the walkway which are left on all night and shines in the room.

This was the worst hotel I have ever been in! Very dirty! Drug dealers in the parking lot. Roaches across the bed. I asked for a refund and will never stay here again. Very run down!

Not pleasant

The hotel is filthy, my room had a 3 foot streak of some type of fluid on carpet near bathroom. There were roaches crawling around the fridge. The window curtain had what looked like caked in dirt or mold. The hallways smelled of marijuana.

Don't Book This Location!

This hotel we absolutely disgusting! The room was filthy, the bathroom was dirty and there appeared to be individuals outside using drugs. I will not stay here again!

There was nothing unique except the fact they think filth is OK. A cockroach was on the bathroom wall and one crawled on my wife's arm. The carpet could not be walked on with bare feet it was so filthy. The fact that you as a corporation even recommend this place is disgusting and unconscionable. We had to go and stay with some people we barley met.

Worse than Expected for a Cheap Room

Terrible Experience.

I would never stay here again. My check in clerk was in workout gear and did not have the time of day to really interact. The appearance left me disappointed. Nothing seemed organized in the surrounding workspace. Papers everywhere and a food container sitting out in the open. My room was not pleasant by any stretch of the imagination. There were stains in the sheets, comforter, bathtub floor, and carpets. the air conditioner sounded like there was running water in it, the curtains had electrical tape covering a hole I suppose which left me wondering if it was a bullet hole and the stains on the bed were cleaned up blood stains. I stayed the night only because my fiance and I were exhausted and simply did not have the energy to attempt a refund which I would not likely receive nor try to find somewhere else to stay for an additional cost. Side note: My son told me that he was specifically told to never stay in this motel.

Beware of bugs!

Extremely dirty and had to kill more than one cockroach!

It had several areas in desperate need of repair. The fence around the pool for instance was rusted and unsafe. The bathroom had no night light. If you wanted to leave the light on, you had to listen to a very loud fan.

Staff great; room not.

Bathroom was remodeled and clean; room was not. Roaches and roach traps provided entertainment for our cats. We evacuated from Hurricane Ian here, otherwise we would have left. Staff and management are attentive and kind, just don't have a lot to work with here.

It is a good hotel to stay at and it's great service and comfortable beds to sleep in.

Room was very dirty, bed sheets were soiled and there were bugs and the clerk war also rude! Did not stay there and got a room at another hotel.

Cold AC, quiet, felt safe

The room was perfect for me and my dogs to cool off since AC broken at home. Only complaint is TV remote did not work well.

Pet friendly and there is a HUGE park next door to walk your dog. Friendly people. Could use a makeover.

Everything was booked and I needed a night to rest. The area was sketchy, felt unsafe. The room had a smell, old looking and just felt dirty. The covers had holes in it. Don’t recommend this place and still charged $130 for the night.

Lobby was atrocious--small, cramped, dark, stacked full of random cardboard boxes. Room was adequate, but badly in need of renovation.

Smelled awful. My daughter gagged the whole time from the smell. The carpets are dirty the towels are dirty. Staff is nice.

The place had bedbugs and my son got ate up laying in his bed fkr just a few minutes. He has red bites all over his body. We requested a refund but was denied and accused of it being our fault. We left in the middle of tge night and had to sleep in a small car. 5 of us including my 3 month old baby. It was hot, we were exausted and wasn't able to fully enjoy our experience. We will be taking legal if this isnt resolved civilly.

Good location, but we were not impressed with the room. Everything was dirty; baseboards were filthy with insect droppings, air conditioner was filled with dirt and debris, carpet was heavily soiled, room smelled musty and sour. The seal on the fridge was moldy, the door on it was broken so it was hard to open/shut. There was a large spider in its nest in the corner on the ceiling, it had clearly been residing there for a lengthy amount of time. Toilet was not clean. Security chain on the door was damaged, looked like the door had been forced open before. Window track full of dirt and dead bugs. Bathroom ceiling paint was peeling and microbial growth had begun sprouting there. Bath fan wouldn't consistently work. Pencil marks all over the walls where they had measured for the new headboards.

The property was in sad condition. There were people outside the room that were drinking beer and throwing peanut shells on the porch. We were to stay two nights but it was so awful we left and sadly did not get a refund

The clerk wasn't there had to wait, he argued when he finally showed up 20 to 30 mins later. A drug addict tried to get in our car. The whole check in smelled terrible. We didn't stay there we left.

Disgusted

The rug was filthy and the room smelled of years of smoking. The toilit seat was loose and mold around the overflow site in the sink. Very stingy with towels and wash cloths. The maid did come and clean after the first night. Will not stay there again

There were holes in the walls. A few had been repaired but not repainted. The bedspread had stains. I am not happy with Expedia for saying the place was only 15 min from where I needed to be It was 30!

Booked thru Trivago & found out the hotel overcharged my card.

When we arrived and went to park in front of our door there were big construction trucks that had rented several of the rooms around us and blocked most of the door. Even though we didn’t call for a 6:30 wake up call when the workers left the next morning the noise from the trucks/cars was unbelievable. The vent fan in the bathroom would stop If it ran too long once it cools down it will come back on (this is a tremendous fire hazard) To be a non-smoking room the room smelled of stale smoke and had a cigarette burn in the bedspread. Horrible time

My husband and I were not too happy with a roach crawling around, fridge didn’t work, a large hole/punch in the bathroom door. Please be advised.

Nice people and a good price just wished they had breakfast

Very musty very dirty property mold growing in and around the bath tub. The shower head was dirty and broke. Had the hold the handle on the toilet to have it flush. A round toilet seat on an oblong toilet. Room had damage

I had a wonderful stay at the Rodeway Inn. I was not looking for the extras just a quiet clean place to spend four days so that I can visit my family. For instance I did not require a real breakfast. I only need good coffee in the morning and they had great coffee ready each morning. My room was attended to each day. The bedding and linens were fresh and clean. I definitely got the best bang for my buck as they say. The family that owned it addressed each concern and were most kind.

The staff of this property is probably the nicest staff I’ve experienced at a hotel. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but kept clean and was in good condition. Really the staff of the hotel is what put this property over the top- we left a cell phone in the room by accident when we checked out, and they called us as soon as they found it & offered to mail it to us. Really great service and very accommodating.

Cheap but you get what you pay for...the room had a musty smell and was barely clean enough to meet most people's standards. The site advertises free breakfast when in fact it's coffee only. At least the sheets and towels were clean and we didn't see any critters. They need to fix the place up and repaint and get rid of the carpets. The next day we found a place at 12$ more that bears no comparison.

Nice size room and confortable; rooms needed some minor maintenance (painting/carpet renewal).

The price was right, clean room, nice staff. All appliances worked.

The facilities, office, corridors were very dirty and hadn't seen soap and water in years. The walls in the bathroom were splattered with coffee, All the doors and door frames had finger prints, the rooms smelled moldy as the staff admitted to turning off window A/C when no one was using room. The rooms must have common ventilation as you could smell cigarette smoke in non smoking rooms on some days and other days no smell. The water dripped all day and night in the shower and the water was brown, the shower curtain had mold, the repairs to the white pre-fab shower parts were done with a black glue in lieu of white, there were never tissues in the tissue holder, there was no AM coffee available, the mini-refrigerator was dirty

If you are OK with black mold and live critters

Regrettably this place is Not well maintained Black mold all along above the tub and a late night bathroom trip discovered 5 cockroaches running around Pretty disgusting place

Business has to do better

This owner called the police on me because I asked him for service and I didn’t even stay the night so I don’t know how they authorized my payment to go through on my card I never signed anything for them to take the money off my card I don’t get how people can be so rude and cruel my kids and I was jus thrown out the room because the man wouldn’t offer room servie

Disappointed and disquished

When I first entered the hotel the manager/owner was very mean and was very demanding and very agrumentive about everything I stayed there because it was convenient for the places I needed to go so I stayed but I would not reccomend that place to no one so my last day stay the owner Called the cops on me because I asked for from service and and I didn’t even stay there he had me taken off the property

Horrible

It was terrible. I made the reservation and it went through on my card..and they said when I got there that we hadn’t paid and had to play a additional 147$ plus a 50$ deposit which wasn’t said on the site. Plus they told us that if we came back we couldn’t bring my service dog because of her medication for her skin. I’m outraged.

They had bed bugs and refused to compensate me. Very dated establishment. Towels were dirty and worn out. Clearly family owned (which I have nothing against) but service was subpar. If you’re literally looking for some place off the street and not wanting to sleep in your car, this is the place for you. Otherwise, find somewhere else.

Hotel is somewhat run down. The room smelled of some kind of funk and cigarettes even though it was a no smoking room. The bedding was questionable. Luckily we always bring our own.

Overall good experience the building is an older building. You pay for what you get so looking for a place to just drop down and sleep fine, done expect a high class experience

The property was dirty and even overheard someone coming to the reception saying they found needles and a condom box.. very disappointed. I can’t expose my family to this. We left. Didn’t spend the night there.

Recently refurbished, at least my room. Old building, but my room was very clean and new, from bathroom fixtures to carpets and bed. Will stay here again when in town.

Filled with low income housing. Room was filthy Was afraid to go outside my room at night. The office staff locked themselves away so you had to ring the bell. No breakfast, only 1pot of coffee with no condiments

There are better places

This motel used to be a low cost, low expectations place. Only the prices have changed. Noisy location, unfriendly staff, rooms smell funny, older accommodations.

OK if you are desparate

Possibly there are new owners that are working to upgrade a really poor motel. Lobby is a shamble, rooms a bit disappointing. If it were lower cost the condition would be OK, but for a modest price, I was expecting at least an average room.

Not impressive

Beds were comfortable. But i thought it was too expensive considering the type of Hotel it was no breakfast in the morning, rooms lead straight outside. Not good for kids, constantly hearing ambulance and cops all day,

Sketchy

The room was clean and the bed was made and comfortable. But in every other way it was dissapointing. The room had a super bright light just outside the window and the curtain wouldn't close all the way. The bathroom shower had mildew all over it. Furniture was broken. They had some kind of construction or renovation going on that started at 8am or earlier and the whole hotel is near a busy road. If all you want is a bed, this place will do. Asking for a shower was asking for too much

Serious roach problem at time of this review

I walked in at 3am and found 2 roaches on the night table and one in the bathroom. I showered and tried to just get a few hours of sleep before resuming my overnight drive but found a 4th roach. I couldn't get myself to sleep so I picked up my stuff and continued driving and slept in my car at a rest area.

Staff was nice.

Non smoking room wreaked of smoke. Bathtub had mildew. Bathtub did not drain properly when showering it filled with water. But the staff was very nice

This motel needs all kinds of help.

We felt unsafe. From the road it looked ok. We had. No toilet paper. We found scraps of paper on the floor. Not a very nice memory for your wedding night. It had a strange smell to it. I will not recommend it to anyo e u less they want a cheap room to stay awake all night. ft
