TravellerThe town of Cromwell is not that interesting, but if you have value for your money, this is a great place. Truly deluxe, with wine tastings each night, a great hot tub/spa, and very relaxing atmosphere. 30-40 minutes to Wanaka and the mountains.

TravellerThis is a gorgeous place to stay. The view over the vineyards to the mountains is beautiful, the owners are really friendly, the wine is good, and you’re close to amazing places to eat. The room was lovely, well fitted out with everything you might need. Breakfast was a really nice touch, with local fruit juices and preserves. There are other wineries, and the rest of Central just a short walk or drive away. I can’t speak highly enough of River Rock Estate. Such a lovely weekend.

TravellerWonderfully equipped and comfortable room. It was easy to access the 4 Barrel Walking tour and sample the local wines. The kitchen and BBQ were meticulous and it was terrific to cook our own dinner and enjoy it with the wonderful River Rock sauvignon blanc from grape vines growing right outside our room! Perfect place to stay.

It was fabulous - extremely well equipped kitchen, private, quiet. The cottage had many extras that you usually do not find in a rental property. Has private yard, BBQ, jacuzzi tub, oven, full size frig, Nespresso, everything we wanted and more. Hosts are very nice and extremely helpful and accommodating. Excellent stay in everyway.
