Great location. Staff were not as friendly as i’d want or expect, but they got the job done. I’d expect a bellman to, at least, offer to help me carry my luggage down the steps to the waiting taxi instead of simply watching me do it myself. I tip, btw. Breakfast was mediocre, at best. Had to wait for plates, look for coffee cups. Not enough food for the number of guests left one waiting for more to be brought out. The whole breakfast experience was subpar. Lastly, one tiny bottle of water in the room upon arrival? C’mon, that’s just cheap. One more thing: It’s an APART-hotel with a kitchenette. ZERO supplies were provided. Even one kitchen towel, a small sponge, a tiny bottle of liquid dish soap would have been appreciated.

Give it a miss….

Couldn’t find our booking when we checked in, took thirty minutes to find and made to feel like we were at fault. Wouldn’t let us check in an hour early, despite the room being available and having gold membership. Booked a suite because it said on their website that a bath would be in the room. This was a lie, only a shower. No coffee or tea in the room despite having a kitchen. Would only allow late check out once I complained and showed them gold membership. additionally, breakfast is very poor. Would give it a miss if I was to go back to La Paz.

Excellent Hotel

Very experience with this hotel. Very clean & pleasant. Big living room and kitchen. Bedrooms are big and bathroom is big and clean.

This is the second time I stay at the hotel. The building and rooms are old but clean and well maintained and kept: each unit has a kitchenette but in this occasion the stove was not working so I cannot give a 5 star rating. The hotel service is excellent and friendly. My suggestion is to provide at least 1 bottled water daily to guest although there is a big jug in the lobby. Finally, just want to make a comment that the pizza at the restaurant (Dukes’s) is terrible. Not sure if the altitude affects the flour, but I do not recommend the pizza from the hotel- I even got stomach sick from it (may be a combination of the altitude and the pizza).

The rooms get very hot at night.

There is no thermostat in the room. The only way to cool down the room is to open a window. When you open a window , the street noise is unbearable. I could not sleep with a window open Because the noise is too loud.

Excellent hotel !!!

This hotel is s great choice . It is located in a very safe area, with an ATM and mall with a supermarket next door. It is in a very convenient area, between the old town and the south where the good restaurants are. It is not a walkable distance but Uber is very cheap and easy. The room was amazing , very spacious, and bright, with a big bedroom and living room, kitchenette, and plenty of windows facing the Main Street . Service was amazing , very courteous, helpful, and client oriented. The included breakfast was very good . Aside from the common areas needing a little bit of revamping, I felt like I was in a five star hotel. I totally recommend this hotel and I will stay for sure again on this hotel when back to Bolivia .

We loved the room, the staff were super nice and the whole experience was great. I would recommend better food at the restaurant. The variety and taste of the buffet and a la carte do not match the high standard the this hotel has.

Very good stay

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff were extremely accommodating when I needed an early check in, the arranged taxis for me a few times. The room was nice and big, and with great views of the square. Good location. Can not recommend it enough.

Our stay at the Ritz Apart Hotel in La Paz, Bolivia was fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by friendly and professional staff who made us feel at home. Staff provided excellent customer service. The views from the room were amazing! The hotel was located within walking distance to a mall, various restaurants, and teleféricos. The restaurant in the hotel provided a fresh and delicious breakfast spread. Dinner is also great. A small cafe is also conveniently located in the lobby. Great people, very friendly!

Good hotel with some issues

First, they tried to downgrade my room. They gave me a very small room while my reserved room was a grand deluxe suit. And, they told me that this is the grand deluxe suite in this hotel...After long (one hour) argument at the front desk and after I shoed them the pictures of my reserved suite they have changed my room back to a suite which little bit bigger than my originally reserved room. So, take care about your reserved room and do not accept the given room if it is not matching your reservation. Another point is a security issue. I could not say exactly if it is happened here in this property but my Delta Miles redeemed by someone else while I was staying in these property. Since I did not see any safe box, my laptop was off but was on the working desk during two days. Do not leave any laptop in the room during your stay. One more point to know is the heating system is off and will not work until you request to turn the heating system on. Unfortunately there is NOT any notification about this point. We were frozen in our room in the first night. Next day, I requested to maintain heating system and I am told that "there is no problem in the heating system but I must request to turn the heating system on in my room". I could not believe that but it is happened. I could not realize that I must request to turn the room heating system after I checked in. This is could country and heating system must be available if there is a guest in the room, without special request.

If it wasn’t because I paid the whole thing upfront I would’ve looked for another hotel. And they have an older man that works as a greeter or a bellman, that is absolutely horrible. Give me a hard time for everything. Everything was a no, and made everything so complicated. He was there when I checked in and any time I asked him for anything he would say “well you need to be a guest” until I spoke to the manager and told him how upset I was. Even though I tipped, and I tipped well my I add, no different treatment. He got me upset to the point where I had to raise my voice quite a bit and say to the manager “ I’m tired of this man busting my balls for everything”

Stay over in La Paz

Fantastic place to stay. Quick and efficient check in. High end beautiful place. All staff were helpful and very attentive. We were very surprised at the value we received for a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchen and breakfast included.

Very spacious rooms, warm and cozy. Easy check-in/out, and the breakfast is amazing - even during pandemic.

Our La Paz Visit

The staff at the Ritz Apart Hotel could not have been more helpful. They assisted us with problems with airline damaged luggage, and with establishing cell phone service. Throughout our five day stay, everyone was most friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very nice and comfortable.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff is very attentive and the apartment very spacious, nicely furnished, clean and bright. I received an upgrade to a deluxe suite as ebookers platinum member. The hotel had a nice coffee shop and a good restaurant. The hotel provides passes to an excellent fitness centre nearby. Highly recommend this property

Nice hotel to stay at in a convenient location in Sopachi.

Room was on the 1st. floor. Someone started vacuuming at 0600 every morning. My thought is that is extreamly early for noise.

I loved the location of the property, easy short walk to eateries , super markets, clubs etc. The staff were warm and friendly It had an old world elegance. The suites offer more room to move around rather than stuck in one space The wifi was strong. Once logged in you stayed on even if you shutoff the computer for later use. The layout of the building itself is stunning. I recommend the upper floors from 8-12 for stunning views of the city

Great location, great service. This Hotel is near everything in the San Jorge neighborhood of La Paz. The Blue and White cable car lines are 3 blocks away. I was very satisfied with my stay at The Ritz. I would highly recommend it.

I would say best hotel to stay in La Paz. Although fitness centre is not on premises they give you access to a full and nice fitnes center near by. Service at the hotel is very good overall. I would would recommend for a business trip.

Very nice hotel and close to cable cars

The Ritz is very comfortable. Our apartment was clean. A couple of minor issues were quickly resolved. Breakfast was great with variety of options. The prime location allowed us to go anywhere within La Paz. It's close to two cable car stations, yellow and white, which take you practically anywhere in La Paz and El Alto. The views are spectacular!

Checkin was very quick and professional. Very comfortable bed. Great roof top bar. Easy walking distance to bars and restaurants. Breakfast was basic and hot items cold but they were still tasty. Only negative was lack of privacy for the toilet....there is no door.

Nice quiet location

The hotel is centrally located, nice neighbourhood, close to a Govinda (vegan/vegetarian) restaurant (worth nothing there was also a Hygge hotdog place nearby that offered a Vegan dog with fresh juice), small mall, small park and close to a Tram terminal. Also the hotel converts American currency at better rate than at the Airport.

Though we paid the hotel for our taxi to the airport the drivers did not know about this so they tried to make us pay them again. Fortunately, we had our receipts indicating the payments for "transfer"

Thoughtful mind

The staffs was very nice and welcoming. The stay was great. The best part is at the end of our check out. We had to catch our flight at 5 o'clock in the morning and they packed our breakfast to take away. I thought it was very thoughtful that they think of us knowing we won't have a chance to eat breakfast... very nice

Beautiful, spacious rooms with a delicious breakfast and very friendly staff. Convenient, secure location in Sopocachi with taxis available at the front door and restaurants located nearby.

Best hotel I have ever been to at any price

This hotel is absolutely Awesome. The best hotel I have been to, and an absolute gem of a deal at the price we paid... image a full one bedroom apartment for the price of a room, full kitchen with utensils, view of the city, supermarket only a block away, and plenty of small shops. The employees are very friendly and attentive. And it includes Valet parking (a premium in La Paz) and a full room service breakfast to order to boot (not just a continental or American breakfast like most other hotels). It also has two very nice restaurants in it, a cafe style one, and a very fancy one worthy of country dignitaries, and both with prices that you can't even touch in the states (imagine a 5 star dinner for $8-10USD!). We saved money eating in Bolivia over what we would have spent if we had just stayed at home.

Great value for the cost

Lovely apartments. Ours was a quick stay as we arrived late afternoon and left early morning. Only complaint was the room felt too warm even after the hotel technician adjusted the heat. This is a common complaint of ours as we like to sleep in a cool room and most hotel windows do not open.

Great Place to stay in La Paz

We spent 2 nights at the Ritz Apart Hotel in La Paz. We had a wonderful experience there. The room was very comfortable and the food in both restaurants was excellent. The staff is amazing and helpful. I give the Hotel my highest possible recommendation!

Overnight stay before flying out.

I have stayed here twice now. I usually have to overnight in La Paz prior to flying out the next day. Coming from the Beni, this is a clean, gorgeous sanctuary at a great price. My first stay was amazing, my more recent stay my room was a little run down. As for a higher room with a view and consider paying a little extra a nicer room.

Very nice hotel. Checking in and out was a breeze too. Staff was polite and very helpful. Rooms were very nice with a great view of the square. The business center was very organized.

A good hotel in La Paz. The Ritz Apart is good: better than some other places I have stayed in La Paz, and not very expensive. Well worth a stay here.

Just the very best

The hotel was just the best. Service was remarkable the staff very helpful. Good good facilities for cooking just perfect rooms spacious and very comfortable. The lounge and TV just great to relax in. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying for extended stay we stayed two weeks and the plus was the tourist bus stopped at our door and a great supermarket 200 mtrs down street as was a cinema complex. Restaurants close handy although you had the best on site. Breakfast lunch and dinner could be delivered to your room if you liked. Full minibar. We had a wonderful stay here thank you to all at the hotel.
