Room was nice but the toilet/ shower room was tiny.

Rex Hotel was very nice. Located in a high traffic area, there were many options for food, drinks and recreation.

We were able to check in early which was great. The room was OK, very clean but really needs a refurb as it is quite dated. We had a fridge with water which was nice. No mosquito nets on the doors so we weren't able to open them at night but there was aircon. Breakfast was good & plentiful. The building is beautiful and very central to the old town & market.

Excellent location but very poor facilities

Although very nice historical bulilding, the interior (and rooms) need maintenance and refreshment. The room was spartan (not even a glass, a laundry bag and a small bottle of water in mini bar). The offered facilities were well beyond our expectation. Breakfast was discent and location super. Overall this hotel should have been marked as 2 or 3 (at best) star ... not 4.

Very good for old town Kalamata, tradional hotel with friendly staff and good breakfast

My overall stay was good. The staff are conscious about the spread of COVID 19. The service personnel is professional and friendly. The room is clean and tidy. However, the property is dated and it’s starting to show. The value for the cost of the hotel is not great, especially if traveling I. High season.

Great budget choice in Old Town Kalamata

Great budget option and well situated in Kalamata's Old Town. The Rex is also an easy walk to / from the bus station. For the price, all was fine - curb appeal, clean and secure. I only wish the mattresses were a bit more comfortable!

Great place to stay

Great location , clean rooms more than adequate. The balcony would have been brilliant but no chairs to sit on. Rather a waste, missed the view !

Very old hotel! Would have a lot of charm if it was renovated!! Centrally located! Staff have limited knowledge about the area and events taking place!!! Staff need to get prompted to assist you!! For example no help with the luggage at check in and at check out ! Quite disappointing! Breakfast staff do not even smile!!😱😱

Perfect location, great value!

Hotel Rex is in the perfect place to explore the Old City of Kalamata, and the beach is just a short bus ride away. It has the best breakfast bar I've seen in Greece, and the staff was very helpful. I'd stay here again.

Kalamata history

The Rex is in a fantastic location so that everything is in walking distance.The hotel has obviously been a grand place and retains some of its character . The rooms are large and comfortable and the showers were good and there are great views form many rooms. The breakfast was plentiful with a good range of hot and cold foods to choose from. There was pleasant service from the reception and other staff . A few points , I had asked for a room on the 1 st floor and was given one on the 4 th at check in. The issue was quickly resolved but really shouldn't happen. More information on buses , maps etc could be provided at reception .The tourist information office is next door ! Lingering cigarette smells in the foyer area.? I know this is Greece so may not be able to change that. It can be noisy in certain rooms, the recent strike made itself heard, I liked feeling I was involved in Kalamata though. All in all I think this is an underrated hotel . It holds promise and a few tweaks would make it fabulous. But it felt safe and easy .

Fine Hotel in Downtown

Great Location in Downtown Kalamata. Breakfast Buffet was very good with ample cold and hot items. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

A hotel with class in the centre of Kalamata

A friendly and helpful staff. Even the owner of this well-appointed and central hotel came to solve our initial problem with the TV. A good selection of foods for breakfast. Our balcony looked onto the pedestrian mall which leads into the historic town. For visitors travelling by bus, for instance, to the airport or to Sparta, the KTEL bus station is an easy 15-20 minute walk. In the other direction, the number 1 bus stops outside the hotel and goes to the port and along the beach before returning to the KTEL station. Should I ever return to Kalamata, I would definitely stay in this hotel.

Good Hotel with central location

Only one night prior to flight back to UK but Hotel Manager and his assistant were enormously helpful in many ways including online check in to Thomas Cook flight with seat reservations. Unluckily it was "White Night" in Kalamata so very noisy most of the night!! Interesting walk around all the cut price offers in the shops.

Not a 4 Star...It once was but definitely not anym

The decor in this hotel is tired. The mold is prevalent.The wallpaper is peeling off the walls. The 4 Stars are a joke. I over paid for this hotel and Would never return . The breakfast was a joke. Honestly aside from the good wifi I have nothing left to say about it. Please upgrade the star ratings.

Comfortable Hotel

Comfortable hotel, but a little tired. Good for restaraunts and cafes and in the middle of the town. Bus Station about a 20 min walk and a 20 min taxi ride to the airport.

Very satisfied with the Hotel Rex. helpful staff who were willing to contact the station for bus timetables and to recommend local sites. the hotel offers an excellent breakfast buffet. Bathroom was large and contained a bathtub, something that is becoming rare in European hotel. And good air conditioning during a summer hot spell.

Nothing extraordinary. Very comfortable overall, very clean and quiet.

Hotel muy céntrico, cerca del casco antiguo y tiene enfrente una parada de bus para ir a la playa . Buen desayuno. Excelente relación calidad precio.

Rectificatif sur la note d’appréciation

Hôtel très vieillot et pas très bien entretenu. Tapisseries se décollant et meubles en mauvais état. Par contre le petit déjeuner est correct. Le wifi ne fonctionne pas très bien non plus

L hotel est bien placé sa terrasse à l extérieur est agreable. Il n y a malheureusement pas de parking réservé a l hotel. Le mobilier des chambres est un peu vieillot.,tabouret defonce frigo poussif Le personnel est agreable et serviable

Hotel a pochi passi dal centro storico di Kalamata,confortevole,pulito e ben arredato. Buona colazione,personale gentile ed accogliente. Bellissima esperienza di viaggio.

Struttura centralissima e molto pulita , personale molto gentile e ottima colazione . Unica pecca i materassi un po duri .

Ήταν ωραία!

Ωραίο ξενοδοχείο και σε καλή τοποθεσία. Καθαρό και με ωραίο πρωϊνό (μπουφέ). Τα δωμάτια ήταν λίγο μικρά, αλλά τα κρεβάτια άνετα. Γενικά μείναμε ευχαριστημένοι.

Οι πρίζες, έτοιμες για ηλεκτροπληξία. Καθαριστρια ήρθε μια φορά.

Horrible. Nos cambiaron de habitación para una “suite” igual de horrorosa q la anterior pero más grande. El colchón era espantoso con muelles que se te clavaban en la espalda. Eso si, la pagamos en metálico porque según el recepcionista nos hacía “mejor precio. De las 4 estrellas, dos se les cayeron hace mucho, mucho tiempo.

Solo una noche

Lastima que solo hemos estado una noche ya que ibamos en ruta por Peloponeso. Todo ha estado mas que correcto tanto atención como información. Aunque no tiene PK, está en muy buena zona en la que hay aparcamiento previo pago tarjeta horaria. En una farmacia proxima nos lo explicaron y resultó muy util. Muy recomendable!!

Ένα εξαιρετικό ξενοδοχείο με πολύ μεγάλα και άνετα δωμάτια. Ειχε καλο WiFi και Nova. Το προσωπικό πάρα πολύ εξυπηρετικό και ευγενικό! Το πρωινό πλούσιο. Βρίσκεται στο κέντρο της πόλης, και πας παντού με τα πόδια! Γενικά, μείναμε πολύ ικανοποιημενοι από την διαμονή!
