Amazing stay for our first time in Raleigh. Location in North Hills surrounded by great shopping and dining combined with fantastic service and comfort made our visit so memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel!

My heater would not work, reported it once, they fixed it and it went out again around 3am and it was 22 degrees outside. The maintenance man said they have not been on all year. Recommend they run and fix units prior to the upcoming cold season, as in be proactive rather than reactive

Very Nice Stay - "LOCATION"

Small issue at check-in, my website and yours didn't communicate well, however it was fixed in a few minutes. All amenities explained, enjoyed the 10th floor privacy and valet parking! The location is awesome, everything in North Hills shopping is a short walk away, great food places, great shopping, felt safe!!

stayed here for 2 nights for my birthday & anniversary trip and it was great! hotel was beautiful, room was very clean spacious, walking distance to so many shops & food, valet parking was so convenient and helpful. we also are at the italian restaurant in the hotel which was amazing and the service was so great.

They had the wrong room for us and they did not try to mke it right, and we was celebrating a big day. With ppl coming from out of town I will be doeing w they corporate office

Try Leo’s!

We have stayed before and enjoy the location being convenient to shopping, but this time we tried the new restaurant and were happily surprised. Leo’s has fantastic Italian food and the waitstaff are outstanding!

We stayed one night for my husband birthday and the lights were off at 7 in the morning and we didn’t have any hot water. We called the front desk and we were told that Duke energy was going to fix it. We did a late check out at 1pm and the problem was never fixed. The staff were very nice but having no lights or power for majority of our stay was a bummer. I could apply my make up and he could shave for our dinner reservation.

We really enjoyed our one night stay here. Staff was friendly, and hotel was clean and easy to navigate. Very short Uber ride to downtown and located in a very walkable area. Rooms were decorated simply but modern, and had a very cozy feel. Beds were comfortable. No complaints! ☺ would definitely recommend.

Hotel staff was very informative

I stayed 2 nights for an R&R getaway, and unfortunately it wasn't very relaxing. For such a highly regarded, and pricey, hotel, the accommodations were average and I had many issues with my room. First, the hotel backs up to a major Raleigh highway. I could hear road noise, especially with loud sports cars and after-market mufflers, at all hours even from the 7th floor. Second, my toilet kept running about every 20 minutes. This woke me up several times in the middle of the night and I eventually turned the knob to cut off water supply to it while I slept. Third, my in-room fridge was barely cold with no visible knob to lower the temp. Any leftovers from nights out were not kept cold enough for me to feel sure they didn't go bad. None of this was worth $230/night. And no, I never called down to complain because I had no interest in switching rooms or going through that trouble.

Bathroom sink was clogged and air conditioning was very loud hard to sleep.

Amazing location in North Hills

Great stay! I loved the location of the hotel and the perks of accessing Target from the hotel instead of driving. Lots of walkable restaurants and shopping nearby plus an amazing bookstore.

The property was perfect! The hospitality was amazing, people were great, place was clean. Perfect stay! First time there & we will be back again real soon!

This was my second time staying at this hotel. I booked through Expedia and requested 2 adjoining rooms or 2 rooms next to each other. I called the morning of my arrival to confirm this request and also request a crib. The gentleman I spoke with let me know I would receive a call back. I never heard back so called at 2pm asking if the rooms would be ready. I waited in the hotel lobby with my 4 young kids until check in at 4, at which time only one room was ready. My next room was ready after we went to dinner around 7 but no one called to let me know. I believe they are very short staffed. The valet was excellent and very friendly and professional.

I loved the food, the people, the convenience of the kitchen on the top floor and even the TV in the mirror. The beds could’ve been more comfortable but all in all an enjoyable stay.

The AC seem to not work for me maybe 72° max is the lowest we can get the room to be at. Hotel was fully blocked so they came out to another room. He had to park under a garage which was pretty far from the hotel so I decided to valet. The staff was amazing.

Excellent stay. Having dining options at the hotel and other options close by was a plus.

The property is in a great location at North Hills in an area called Mid-town Raleigh. Great restaurants, shopping, movie theater, and many one of kind shops. It was great for me with Tesla Superchargers just outside the garage. We’ll stay there again when we return to Raleigh, NC

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the friendliest staff! Cye and the entire team were helpful and knowledgeable and always seemed interested in helping me enjoy my time here. The room and property were clean and well maintained. I enjoyed using the gym next door and really had fun shopping and dinning… there were so many excellent choices! I will definitely return to this location next time I visit the Raleigh Durham area.

The checkin process was smooth. I got there a little early and my room was ready. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I had lunch at the hotel’s restaurant and it was amazing. The bartender was nice enough to make me a mocktail (they aren’t on the menu), which was amazing. My room was clean. I thought the pillows were a so soft, which is my only complaint. I had the buffet breakfast which was really good. Also, they had turkey sausage which was a plus. Restaurants were in walking distance. I would stay at this hotel again.

Room wasn’t ready but staff offered alternatives and compensations

The staff needs some work. My husband and I who are Marriott Bonvoy members were denied breakfast rudely by a female front desk employee. The first room that we were given had no working AC in the room and fridge was warm. I am so disappointed and dissatisfied!

Would stay here again. The convenience of a variety of restaurants and shopping in just walking distance. There were two things I had an issue with is first there was not enough towels and bath cloths provided in the room. Even with housekeeping freshened our room there were only3 bath towels 2 hand towels and no bath cloths. We had 4 people staying in a two queen room. Second, when we got to the hotel at 5p there was not a room available for us. Luckily we were just walking distance to Bar Taco to have drinks and dine to pass the time. But other than that the front desk was very helpful and the valets were quick to bring our car around. Definitely would stay here again.

We absolutely love staying at The Renaissance Hotel most of the time. It’s a close walk to shopping and food. Staff are always excellent! We spent one night for our anniversary the first weekend in March, it was not as special as previous stays. The staff were excellent as normal. My complaint was it was hot in the room and even when someone came to look at our thermostat it stayed hot all night. We even purchased fans from Target. The worst part was their main water line busted in the middle of the night and we had no hot water to shower or freshen up before checkout. They did discount the stay but overall our stay was a 4 out of 10, normally it’s a 10 out of 10. Total disappointment from our normal stays.

Excellent location for anyone who don't want to drive. We loved that great restaurants and shopping near the hotel.

Check in at 4pm but our room wasn’t ready until 7pm and then they had the nerve to give us a hard time for requesting a late checkout on their least busy day (actually overheard a staff member complaining about what a slow day they were having with only about 30 people checking in that day). Our carpet was stained and almost crunchy/rough to the touch.

I travel here twice a year sometimes for work. I am looking forward to visiting in my leisure time.

Loud and Uncomfortable. Not Coming Back

It was so noisy we couldn’t sleep. The doors were slamming constantly and maintenance was in the closet outside our door banging and crashing things around. The air conditioner didn’t work well at all and it consistently got hot during the night. Couldn’t sleep which is extremely frustrating when a quieter room was asked for when we booked the room. Definitely not returning to this hotel. Felt like a total waste of money and no satisfaction whatsoever. The staff was very nice at least.

Hot Water

The property was beautiful; however, there was no hot water during our entire stay. We were supposed to have a breakfast the morning of our departure, but because there was a broken pipe, the restaurant was closed . The staff were super nice and did what they could. Biggest problem was NO HOT WATER!!!

It was a very average hotel with slightly below-average rooms at higher than average cost. The light fixtures and furniture felt cheap and showed signs of wear. The shower was weak, and the water was lukewarm. I called ahead to confirm room's amenities with on-site guest services and was told no coffee maker; no mini fridge; no microwave; wifi at additional charge. But hey, you get a SAFE, a hair dryer, and an iron/ironing board. There are higher quality lodging options for the same or lower pricing.

For the price, the overall condition of the property was poor.

Breakfast not included in the price.there was no face tissue and wash cloths in the room. Breakfast was good .

Loved the staff, breakfast was delicious. Everything is in walking distance and there are options to choose from! The bed was the most uncomfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. My back muscles were burning all night long. There was a constant bang from 9 pm to 2 am. Staff was notified during my departure. Nothing against this hotel in general but I have stayed in nicer rooms in other hotels. I will not be returning to the Renaissance Hotel.

Mischarged- disappointing billing

Disappointing booking and billing- paid full price on hotels.com, then charged additional $180 - I’ll have to call to fix this mistake- I should have known- person at check in tried to charge me full price When I arrived, tho it was paid in full- I had to correct her then. I hate wasting time on the phone to follow up on someone else’s mistake

Not hot water

Unfortunately when I got there a I had to cancel because their boiler broke down and they had no hot water and had not be able to get it back working since 8am. This is usually my go to hotel when in that area so I was very disappointed. They did give me a full refund.

Enjoyed my stay. Definitely coming back in the future.

Excellent property! Easy for shopping and walking access to everything

Overall will not return. Room was 82 degrees at check in. Took a couple of hours to fix (while we were sweating). Staff seemed overwhelmed even when it wasn’t busy. Bar couldn’t keep up even though a group had paid and there was supposed to be extra service (there wasn’t)
