Excellent hotel in Dresden’s “New City”
One of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. Reception staff are first rate-friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. Superb location for touring old and new city and close to train station. Easy walk to good restaurants.
Staff makes it worth it. With bridge closed you can’t beat the location for getting there
Been in Europe for two months and this is without a doubt, the best hotel experience thus far. If you manage another hotel and happen to read this, you should book a stay there and learn something. I like hotels that treat me like they value my decision to stay there and it has been extremely rare on this trip. Generally, I'm just processed into and out of my room. Anyway, great job Chateaux Bülow Palais!
Lovely luxury in Dresden
Our stay was fantastic from start to finish. We were greeted with complimentary champagne and shown to our well appointed, exceptionally clean room. Staff was always friendly and very helpful. The included breakfast was amazing - so many choices and everything was fresh and delicious. The hotel is is a charming, safe, walkable neighborhood full of interesting shops and restaurants. A short walk across the bridge takes you to the major museums of Dresden and more shopping and restaurants. After dinner drinks at the hotel bar were great - many cocktails and liquors to choose from and the bartender even remembered our order after the first night. Accomplished pianist played standards on the weekend. If you want to stay in Dresden and feel pampered, choose the Hotel Bülow Palais!
The staff is super friendly and give a lot of help.
Very upscale
Excellent Hotel
Very nice old world style hotel. 15 min walk to the old town. Wonderful breakfast.
Very nice and off the beaten path, yet still walkable. Really elegant area.
A very nice experience. Love the area
Nice, clean. Good service.
Nice clean feels like new. Residential quiet area.
Beautiful hotel and happy with location. Some confusion at check in which was a shame but otherwise a very comfortable and good stay
Everything was great
Absolutely wonderful hotel! Highly recommend.
All the staff was wonderful. The check-in, concierge, breakfast and dinner staff, everyone.
Excellent gorgeous clean beautiful sauna. An unknown gem. Food was stellar down to every detail. Best Weiner schnitzel I’ve ever had. Vesper martini to perfection. Chestnut soup was heaven. Staff is excellent. Room was gorgeous and spacious. Reception desk were friendly but not very knowledge.
Very efficient and friendly staff. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. There was a lovely Christmas market just around the corner. The hotel is well situated. You can get a taxi from the airport or take a local train for about 15 minutes and then walk a few minutes to the hotel. The city centre is within walking distance. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel.
If in dresden stay here...
Visit. If was a wonderful experience and should be repeated.
Y
it was a very nice, clean hotel with spacious room. the location was excellant. it was close to good restaurants. The bed was extermely comfortable. The reception staff was very helpful. The hotel had lots of character and style. The room decoration was beautiful. Nice touches like fruit plate in room and welcome drink.
A gorgeous hotel in a perfect location in the New Town, just a short (and dramatic!) walk to the Old Town. And the price was very reasonable. We'll be happy to stay here again when in Dresden.
x
The hotel is in a very quiet area about 10 minutes walk to the old town. We enjoy having dinner at the Spanish restaurant with great tapas next to the hotel. Close by there is a grocery store.
It was in an excellent location with interesting and elegant decor.
Luxury
Really nice luxurious room but no hot pot to make coffee in the room. Breakfast good with made to order and buffet. Parking is under the hotel and a bit tight, but manageable. Lobby decor had a "Alice in wonderland" vibe.
Great hotel, warm and elegant interior design, friendly staff, clean!
Amazing!!
Everything from the dedicated staff at reception, to the room, to the location, to the amazing food in the restaurant absolutely everything was brilliant and even the car park!! One last thing my husband loved relaxing in the Cigar Room Thank you so much to everyone for making our stay so memorable.
This is my favorite hotel on earth. The rooms are spacious, service A exceptional, location great, very safe and walkable neighborhood with shopping and restaurants across the street, etc. This simply is an A hotel across the board and I give it my highest recommendation possible.
Outstanding customer service, very comfortable and fully equipped rooms. Will book again on next visit.
The staff were superb . Our meal was excellent. Only suggestion is fluffier pillows. North Americans are not used to flat thin pillows.
A lot of nice little touches. The fresh fruit each day, the breakfast that has ruined me forever as I have never tasted heaven before. The gift of the teddy bear is cute.
Nice place
Unfortunately the beds are not back-friendly.
Gorgeous surroundings, beautiful Room & excellent staff
Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful and well kept property.
This place is made for comfort and with care for the guests. Other hotels should learn from them.
We loved everything about this hotel. The staff were so helpful and kind and everything was just beautiful ♥️
Beautiful high class hotel
The place to stay in Dresden
A charming and comfortable hotel with an excellent kitchen in the center of old Dresden. Easy walking access to shopping and historic sites and attractions. Loved my stay.
OK
Beautiful hotel. Staff was eager to help and very friendly. The room was fantastic (and a great shower, too)! Area restaurants— and recommended restaurants were just “average”…so do your homework on this before going. Great place and we recommend it highly!
Excellent on every level
Wonderful hotel,room,service and food
Clean and classic hotel with good service
Super hotel, with an outstanding breakfast. The sauna is very clean and has a lot of space
Great hotel with outstanding breakfast
An oasis of comfort and luxury. the breakfast was worth every penny. highly recommended.
Charming hotel in Dresden
The room was wonderful - a corner suite with windows overlooking the small park near the hotel. We dined at their restaurant one night and it was fantastic. Service was excellent throughout the hotel. Great location in a chic part of town, but within easy walking distance of old town and the train station
The Junior suite room is very spacious and the restaurant is amazing.
Excellent service from staffer. Elegant and festive restaurants and public areas. Comfortable and friendly atmosphere
A fantastic hotel and staff that provides amazing service and pays attention to all the details. The location is excellent, too.
We stayed at the Bulow Palais for 2 nights. It is an outstanding hotel in all aspects, including having a Michelin-starred restaurant. The location was excellent and the staff could not do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Our Jr Suite was very large, with nice, tasteful furnishings and the room, and the entire hotel, was immaculate. The only downside was the very high cost of breakfast which, for its cost, could/should have been much more extensive. What was there, however, was very good. I would stay at the Bulow Palais again without a doubt.
Great service, nice location, attractive room, great products!
Everything perfect indeed except The adjacent church clock noise at midnight and 7am a bit noisy despite window closed. The restaurant carousel is really good and creative fushion food.
Walking distance to the old city but remote enough for a quit location.
Great location beautiful hotel. In a quiet part of town. Reasonable parking on site. Easy to get to many attractions.
Beautiful hotel close to the historic centre of Dresden.
Nice quiet location, easy walking distance to city center but away from the crowds. The staff are friendly but reserved. The rooms are on the edge of being dated but clean and well appointed.
Truly fabulous property in every category at a can't beat price! The staff were the best I've encountered, the room was spectacular in every detail, high end furnishings, best bed ever, clean and quiet, great shower! I wish we could have stayed many more nights!
A floral dream
It is located in a quiet residential area, a 15-minute walk to the Old Town. Apart from its own restaurant, there are a lot of other options in the area. Because it was very hot, we preferred to eat at some local terraces, but next time, we have to try the restaurant as well. The personalised and friendly service was impressive. This is one of the few hotels that offers a secure Wi-Fi with a trusty password. Why others are lazy and offer either an obvious or no password at all, I don’t understand. The floral, upbeat decoration gives an optimistic, sunny feeling to the ambient. The bed and the bathroom were excellent. Exquisite breakfast.
Beautiful lotaction and unique style. Nice bead and nice night snack complementary in the room
Very friendly staff and very helpful. Ideal location between old and new town. Very comfortable room, with turn down service!
Great hospitality. Beautiful hotel. We enjoyed our stay in Dresden. Perfect.
Service was amazing
All service was amazing! I really could feel that I’m beeing treated.
Very charming hotel and highly recommended. My only complaint is that when we had our morning tea in the bar, while we expected and were prepared for hotel prices, it was outrageous to be charged EUR 4 for an extra pot of hot water. I know, shouldn’t bicker over small stuff - everything else about the hotel was great.
Holiday visit
Lovely hotel which was wonderfully decorated for Christmas throughout the facility. Each day my room was replenished with cookies and holiday treats. Great service at front desk.
This was by far the nicest hotel on our trip through Germany!!
Check in was great Amazing staff Amazing hotel Room is excellent Great comfort overall
All but a skittish chef and unhelpful management!
A fine hotel in nearly all categories except management's reluctance to help with a chef who refused to serve anything on the menu for a spouse who had an allergy to sesame! We were asked to leave because of the chef's unwillingness to prepare any food whatsoever w/o the possibility that sesame seeds or oil would be included. Management backed the chef and asked us to go elsewhere on a cold and rainy night, recommending restaurants many miles away!
A Wonderful Hotel
The Bulow Palais is an elegant hotel that offers delightful rooms, wonderful service, and excellent meal choices. From the moment we arrived, we were supported, looked after, and generally made to feel extremely welcome. The hotel manager and staff pay exceptional attention to guests, so we felt pampered and looked after throughout our stay of four nights. Would highly recommend the Bulow Palais to everyone. A truly memorable experience.
Dresden
About a 15 min walk in to the old town. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The food was good but a limited menu.
Clean, spacious room in great location. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the North train station. Friendly, helpful staff.
Extraordinary experience, beyond what's usually seen at hotels.
Very nice hotel
Very nice :), exelent staff, true 5 star service.
Best hotel I've ever stayed at. A++
This hotel is amazing! I've stayed at numerous 5 star hotels and this is the best. Service was top notch, room was spacious, bar drinks and atmosphere was first class, food was amazing, etc., and the price was right. I absolutely loved staying here and pound the table recommend. A++
Beautiful, Exquisite decor. Loved it!
Beautiful place would recommend the stay there. The hosts Pavel & Eva were super. Very relaxing. Comfortable beds.
Grand hotel
Grand Hotel. Very nice room, good restaurant. Staff very efficient. What you expect from a 5 star hotel.
Beautifully appointed hotel with welcoming staff. Owner/manager seen in the hotel regularly. Would stay here again
Nice business hotel with style
Very friendly staff and service oriented. The Restaurants are outstanding and wine selection from knowledgeable sommeliers
We enjoyed a lovely stay at this hotel. Staff was attentive, welcoming and efficient. Our room was quite nice. We highly recommend this property.

Perfect location if you can find the hotel. Beautiful historic hotel! A unique experience hope you love Pink bath rooms from the 80's We really liked this hotel
Beautiful hotel in a wonderful city.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were exquisitely decorated, the staff was friendly and professional and the delicious breakfasts were served in a beautiful room.
Beautiful hotel
We stayed here for two nights while sightseeing in Dresden. It's a beautiful hotel and a reasonably short walk across the bridge to the center of Dresden. Highly recommended.
Perfect hotel in Dresden
Welcoming, friendly, cozy, quiet, clean..Happy
Great stay
Two day stay with my wife...excellent room and bed. Terrific location 10-minute walk from old city. Didn't eat breakfast because too pricey.
An absolute gem of a hotel ... perfect !
Small, beautifully decorated hotel with attentive, personal staff and an incredible breakfast ... imaginative, daily offerings .... altogether magnificent ... hated to leave !
What a beautiful and perfect experience
Where do I start? Check-in was very quick, very friendly and very welcoming with a refreshing glass of champagne The standard rooms were stunning, very warm (December) A large twin bathroom with a bath and a huge separate shower cubicle. A separate toilet . The bed very comfortable. The room had free high speed internet and free wifi throughout the hotel. The reception area and main lobby were beautifully decorated with luxurious Christmas displays adding real festive charm from the start of our stay. The bar and restaurant areas were lovely with a very calming atmosphere. And last but least the staff and I mean all the staff were extremely polite and very helpful especially the dark haired barman who created some wonderful cocktails based on our likes and I`m sure odd requests. The reception staff could not have been more helpful when it came to local knowledge.
Great hotel
This is real 5 stars hotel, great service, room, underground garage
Lovely boutique hotel
Hotel location initially seemed far from town centre when we arrived in the evening. The area looked deserted too. We braved the cold and were delighted to find a street mall a very short walk away, with a nice convenient store (Rossman). Plenty of other shops too. There are also a good number of restaurants located on the same street as the hotel. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and polite. Room was a good size, very comfortable. Shower has no bath tub, it didn't matter to us.
A hidden gem.
This is a true luxury hotel slightly out of the central tourist area but within easy walking distance. It is in a very interesting neighborhood of shops and restaurants that might otherwise be missed. The hotel is exquisite with original art, interesting furnishings and good restaurants. Our room was very spacious with ample comfortable seating and fine furnishings and finishes.
Beautiful hotel in a nice neighborhood
Everything was great except the spa was not particularly accommodating - I tried to book a massage and was told that the masseuse already has an appointment that day and that she would be tired afterwards. Oh well.
By far the nicest hotel in Dresden
Room was huge and well designed, nice touch with the welcome gifts (fruit, wine, candies, water, etc.). Dining -- breakfast and lunch was excellent. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Parking on site. Hard to beat Relais and Chateaux in Europe.
Luxury in Potsdam!
We stayed at this hotel for three nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The room was n beautiful, the location was perfect for restaurants and to walk into Dresden, and the staff and service were impeccable.
Details and attention to each viistor truly repres
We were warmly welcomed early and room was ready three hours earlier than listed. A young man took our luggage upstairs, but first showed us the beautifully upholstered furnishings, mini-fridge, perfectly working airconditioning system, separate toilet and bath facilities. safe in room. This is defintely a superior hotel and we certainly recommed it for all ages.
Five stars mean great service
It's always nice to be greeted at a hotel with a welcome drink, and that's what the Bulow does. This really was a full service hotel. The room staff even refreshed the ice in our ice bucket when he had left for the day, but had not drunk the bottle we'd put in the ice bucket to chill. The front desk will arrange for rental bikes and send letters if necessary. We were in the upgraded (larger) room, which was very comfortable. The sparkling water bottle and the fruit basket was refreshed daily. Although shampoo and body wash was provided, there was no conditioner -- a problem for those with longer hair. The beds have a memory foam mattress, and the hotel was generally quiet, which was conducive to sleeping. The breakfast was good -- cappuccino and other coffee types to order, as well as hot eggs. The sparkling wine, the loose tea, and the high-end bites served on bent spoons all kept this breakfast top notch. If you are wanting any hot items beyond eggs, though, you will be disappointed. The staff was exceptional -- they remembered on day 2 what kind of coffee we preferred and how long we wanted to wait before having our eggs. The gym, which is not free with your room stay, was very small.
fantastic hotel, image eat neighborhood.
This was one of the best hotel experiences of my life. The facilities were in excellent shape, the services were simply outstanding and the staff extremely professional and friendly. I will try to go back to Dresden only because of the hotel.
**** A wonderful hotel *****
We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in the door, we were offered a complementary drink, even before checking in. The room was 5 stars, with quality furniture and fittings. They also preformed a turn down service before bed time, which is a great touch. Staff are wonderfully helpful and very professional. I will stay here again.
Holiday in Dresden
Stayed 2 days sightseeing in Dresden. Excellent service and all round excellent hotel
Excellent hotel with outstanding staff!
We wanted to visit Dresden because we had read about it's painful reconstruction after WWII, which lasted for many decades, and warranted it's been named a UNESCO World Site. We were not disappointed. Just seeing the Frauenkirche (reconstruction finished in 2005) is worth the visit! The entire "altstadt" (old city) is an attraction in itself, with all the magnificent buildings, outdoor cafes, horse drawn carriage rides, as well as the modern tram, and stores. The hotel is within a reasonable walking distance of the Elbe river. There is a road near the river where people walk and ride bicycles, and from there you can see the buildings on the other side of the river. Crossing the bridge on the left, takes you into the heart of the old city. Do take comfortable shoes to walk as most of the roads and plazas there are with old style pavers, which add to the ambiance. Dresden is a city with much to offer the visitor, and not just in the old city. There are many other beautiful places to visit. I recommend purchasing one of the small guides, which have a lot of information about the city and it's surrounding attractions.
Service of the hotel staff were beyond expectation. Drinks and food were amazing.
